“You swear you’ll what?” Sasuke asks, grabbing a ripe tomato and taking a bite out of it.

“You’re sleeping on the couch,” Sakura says, glaring at him. “I don’t care if I have Mokuton or not and can just regrow the produce. Stop eating it.”

“Why do you keep eating the tomatoes like apples that’s weird,” Naruto says, grimacing at him. 

“The amount of ramen you eat is weird.”

“You’re both weird,” Sakura says, cutting off what’s sure to be an idiotic argument. “But seriously, stop eating all the tomatoes.”

“No.”

“You’re sleeping on the couch for a month then.”

more college au headcanons

-Sasuke took a debate class with naruto just to humiliate fight him for fun.

-when sasuke and naruto come home drunk, sakura sighs at first but then tries to take care of them to make sure they don't die. At first she's mad out of pure concern, but can't help cracking a smile while they drunkenly ramble about how good she is to them

"you're the b-best, *hic-up*...sakura-chan"

"...what the dobe said...hn"

"I know that already you idiots, now take some tylenol"

-when it's sasuke's first birthday in the new apartment, sakura and naruto try to bake a 'savory' version of a cake since they know he doesn't like sweets. it looks like a total disaster, and although sasuke appreciates the sweet gesture he is horrified at their creation.

"we know that you always cook for us, so we wanted to return the favor!"

"we thought that since you don't like sweets, we could make something more your style. Happy Birthday bastard!"

"...is it moving?"

-Naruto is often arguing with himself out loud in the apartment as a debate practice. Sakura and Sasuke periodically chime in no matter where they are with advice or rebuttals to help him think of other ways to strengthen his arguments

-sakura convinces naruto and sasuke to watch medical dramas/documentaries with her for fun. while sakura takes notes on different facts and procedures that are being shown, naruto and sasuke can only look in pure horror at all the blood, not understanding how sakura can watch any of it without squirming.

"guys, look! they're gonna amputate his foot with a wire"

"sakura-chan, I think I'm gonna throw up"

"remind me to never do this again"

-they all make sure to say goodnight to each other before bed

-surprisingly, it's sasuke who takes up the most bathroom counter space for all of his hair styling products and grooming items, as he always wants to look professional and clean

-sometimes sakura forgets to buy tampons or pads on purpose just to make naruto or sasuke get then for her. this tends to happen late at night between 12-4am. naruto and sasuke are too afraid to say no

"pst...sasuke can you get me some tampax?"

"again? It's 3am...fine. let me get naruto to do it"

-if sakura goes out on a girls night, her boys just stay home and wait all night until she comes back

-at some point, sasuke decides to take some art classes for fun. He often finds himself doodling his roommates during class, and at home when they aren't looking. His favorites are when sakura or naruto are just sleeping on the couch or studying. whenever they try to take a peek he instantly gets shy and his ears turn red

-sakura slowly starts to wear naruto and sasuke's shirts around the apartment as sleepwear. She finds their scents warm and comforting after a long day of being in a sterilized hosptial.

-naruto purposefully wears mismatched tacky socks which annoys the hell out of sasuke

-they have a community swear jar and use the money at the end of the semester for either a group activity or for furnishing the apartment. It's usually a three way tie for who swears the most

so i kinda want to write that fix-it AU that starts with sasuke and naruto making friends early - what do you mean that’s been done before? so? - and i’m probably not going to, but at least i’d like to write the wave arc. from sakura’s pov, because the fic is 100% goign to be sakusasunaru. because i want the summary to be something like ‘everybody know sasuke and naruto are best friends. for years now, tey’ve sown chaos through the village, and the pair of orphans are dreaded from every authority figures. sakura is the unlucky kunoichi chosen to be their teammate.’ (well, what sasuke and naruto are up to is still up in the air, but i really want to throw sakura in the situation of being the odd one out between the other two, and being smoothly folded into their team actually. not much difference is made into anything until, like, post chuunin exams, because while sasuke and naruto know more abotu teamwork, sasuke is still a ball of anger and grief, and naruto didn’t actually get that much better at ninja arts. maybe we’ve just done away with the crush and it’s just a given that naruto and sasuke will end up together. until sakura comes in the picture, and somehow she ends up naturally part of them)

anyway, despite being 14 episodes long in the anime (which is. way too long. what the fuck. five six episodes max and that’d be long already), the wave arc is incredibly important for shaping team 7. If sakura shows faith in naruto during the chuunin exam (fight against kiba - so does kakashi but kakashi is kakashi and he’s. every time kakashi shows belief in someone you shoudl take out the twenty pages powerpoint), it’s because of the wave arc. there’s a lot happening! there’s a lot of what naruto will become, and how, and why, and we can see kakashi, sakura, and sasuke react to the first instances of naruto being Like That. (draining the poison by stabbing himself? followed by inspirational speech? running to zabuza to get his headband? followed by a Plan? reacting to inari’s story by running hmself to the ground proving him heroes DO exist? inspiring inari and by him the whole village? losing control to kyuubi only to regain it to spare an enemy? crying for an enemy and reminding another one of his humanity? deciding on his nindo?)

(meanwhile sakura is. constantly on ‘guard tazuna’ duty and it never ends up being relevant. she’s following the rules! she’s doing her job! and yet she has nothing to do the whole arc...)

anyway this would be a good arc to explore from her pov to get into the sasuke-and-naruto-are-friends-pre-graduation universe, but for that i think i should try to write the regular version from her pov first.

and i’m 200 words in and she’s already thinking ‘wow this would be different if we had a medic on hand’ and i can already see a few more cases where she’ll think that. so! while i hate that every kunoichi ended up the medic of their team, it might make sense for sakura? with the way the moments she felt most hopeless are when the boys are incapacited. mind you, most of the times a regular medic would be as powerless as her. good thing she becomes the best medic nin, then.

When the war ends, I want Sasuke laughing. Like, laughing out loud for a joke Naruto said. Laughing until he cries. I want him to get rid of stress, sadness, loneliness and darkness. I want to see him laughing for an entire page, with Sakura and Naruto looking at him with a shocked smile on their face. And Sakura says "Wow, I didn't even know you were able to laugh!". And then he stops laughing and hug her and Naruto and says: "I'm just happy to be back". *end of the chapter* *tears on our faces*

sakusasunaru + coffee shop au :D

It had started with a wrestling match over the table’s last available coffee creamer.

Naruto and Sasuke had bickered (Sasuke in quiet hisses and Naruto in loud declarations of “Hell no this one ain’t yours!”), and somewhere along the lines of Sakura telling them both to calm the hell down before she made them the coffee had been knocked over by their struggling limbs and had promptly decided to spill… all over them.

By the end of it all three of them had their share of coffee stains and Sakura had stormed off, telling them both they could sleep on the couch; Sasuke simply scrubbed at the stains in his clothes with a napkin, muttering under his breath that he preferred his coffee black anyway.
