I recently came up with fanchildren for the canon couple Shuu Sakurada & Hana Satou of Castle Town Dandelion aka Joukamachi no Dandelion.

Imagine seeing the manga's/anime's future set in the spring of 2030s where Shuu Sakurada the next King & Hana Sakurada the next Queen have 12 kids! 6 sons/princes & 6 daughters/princesses including 3 sets of twins.

In order:

1) Prince Hayato Sakurada, first child/eldest & first son. 17 years old. 12th grade/3rd year in high school. Blonde hair in the exact shade as his mother's, and medium blue eyes like his father's.

2) Princess Seiya Sakurada, second child/second eldest & first daughter. Fraternal twin of Hayato. 17 years old. 12th grade/3rd year in high school. Also has blonde hair like her twin brother & mother, but is in the matching shade as her aunt Hikari Sakurada's. And also like Hayato, she has her father's medium blue eyes.

3) Princess Momoe Sakurada, third child & second daughter. 16 years old. 11th grade/2nd year in high school. Same orange hair & orange eyes as her grandmother Satsuki Sakurada's.

4) Prince Akashi Sakurada, fourth child & second son. 15 years old. 10th grade/1st year in high school. Inherited the exact red hair & red eyes as his aunt Akane Sakurada.

5) Prince Aosuke Sakurada, fifth child & third son. 13 years old. 8th grade/2nd year in middle school. Royal blue hair like his aunt Aoi Sakurada, & emerald green eyes like his aunt Misaki Sakurada. He also wears glasses.

6) Princess Kayoko Sakurada, sixth child & third daughter. 12 years old. 7th grade/1st year in middle school. Dark midnight bluish black hair like her father while having light purple eyes that are like her great-uncle Kanna Shinonome, the first younger brother to grandma Satsuki.

7) Princess Keimi Sakurada, seventh child & fourth daughter. Identical twin of Kayoko. 12 years old. 7th grade/1st year in middle school. Like her twin, dark midnight bluish black hair like her father, & light purple eyes like her first great uncle.

8) Princess Chinatsu Sakurada, eighth child & fifth daughter. 10 years old. 5th grade in elementary school. Light brown hair, which is similar to her uncle Teru Sakurada's. & Same light blue eyes as her mother's.

9) Prince Yahiro Sakurada, ninth child & fourth son. 9 years old. 4th grade in elementary school. Light purple hair like his uncle Haruka Sakurada, & light brown eyes like his great-uncle Mutski Shinonome, second youngest brother to grandma Satsuki.

10) Prince Eiki Sakurada, tenth child & fifth son. Fraternal twin of Yahiro. 9 years old. 4th grade in elementary school. Pink hair like his aunt Misaki, & royal blue eyes like his aunt Aoi.

11) Princess Ren Sakurada, eleventh child/second youngest & sixth daughter. 6 years old. 1st grade in elementary school. Like big bro Akashi & aunt Akane, her hair is red except in the shade called "Radical Red" (#ff355e). Plus she has the same magenta eyes as her aunt Shiori Sakurada.

12) Prince Toru Sakurada, twelfth child/youngest & sixth son. 5 years old. Senior year in kindergarten. Solid black hair & black/grey eyes similar to the hair & eye color of both his grandfather Souichirou Sakurada & aunt Kanade Sakurada the younger twin of the new King.

All of Shuu & Hana's dozen children have supernatural abilities like the entire royal Sakurada family of course.

I'll someday make posts about each of them that will include their powers of course.

Oh, & 1 more thing, the next gen royal Sakuradas also have a pet dog! A white giant & fluffy male Great Pyrenees named Polaris! Polaris Sakurada the Royal Dog!

FEB 20: FAVORITE CHARACTER BESIDES THE 12 KIDS & THEIR PARTNERS

If you know me, this shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Of course it’s Hiroaki Ishida. Everyone’s Cool Dad is my favourite minor character and, in my heart, the main character of his own spinoff...

There are numerous reasons why Hiroaki is the best, but I’m just going to name a few.

1. He’s cool AF. 

Just look at him with his cigarette and the air of someone who hasn’t slept in two years, like the protagonist in a film noir. He looks cool from the start.

Hiroaki also proves his inner coolness as soon as we meet him. He gets over the shock of finding out the Digimon quickly and sets out to to give invaluable help to the Chosen Children. Even his job (investigative reporter and/or Fuji TV producer) is baddass — and fortunately, it means that he’s always at the centre of the action and can help the kids. We have no choice but to stan.

2. He’s a sweetheart.

Hiroaki is the most developed parent and he has an interesting backstory and depth.

The first time we meet him, we see that he still carries a picture of his family on his wallet. This shows he’s more than the typical Japanese workaholic father who’s married to his job. He has deep love for his family and clearly carries regrets over the family’s situation. Later we learn that he didn’t want to lose his sons and the divorce, and he admits that separating the two boys was a selfish decision (though draconian divorce norms in Japan are probably to blame).

He isn’t a perfect single parent to Yamato, but you can tell he’s trying his best. Despite being often absent due to his work, he truly cares about Yamato and they have a close relationship. At times it feels like their roles were inverted a bit, but that adds to the dynamic. (There’s a lovely scene in the PSP game when Yamato brings him lunch at work and it’s a really sweet portrayal of the relationship.)

In short, he’s very caring, he helps everyone out whenever is needed, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for his kids. Yamato and Takeru clearly love him a lot, for good reason.

3. He’s a bit of dork

He may look tough, but Hiroaki’s sons (especially Takeru) have him wrapped around their little finger. Hiroaki agrees to take them camping as a cover up, and uses his Xmas bonus to buy them a computer.

He listens to dumb sutras and (supreme proof of inner dorkiness) he is a former a bass player.

So he’s likeable and entertaining!

PS: The little Takeru and me ships the hell out of Hiroaki and Natsuko (who herself is also cool AF). Yes, I know it’s not Realistic, but can they please get back together? Maybe a little Parent Trap situation played by Takeru (to Yamato’s horror)? Or can they just become exes with benefits as they grow older? (I’d read those fics.)

OKAY so i just remembered about this post i made back when my tumblr got wonky and i realised i hadn't put my thoughts yet. some mutuals gave very nice headcanons (check them all on the reply!!), but here's mine personally!

taichi: he can, but he rarely drives due to his job (flying here and there like a diplomat does... oof)

yamato: he can, but he prefers a motorcycle still for the sake of flexibility (and then he chooses spaceships anyway). hiroaki taught him using the fuji tv van (sick ik). once he got spooked by sakurada's sutra from the tape...

sora: she can, but only drives if she needs to (which is rarely). i like to think haruhiko taught her, although we know that he was chauffeured by shuu during the kyoto battle. well, perhaps shuu drove his sensei out of respect?

koushiro: taichi once took him to the arcade to play a racing game. he barely finished a lap when the time ran out because he was crashing the barricades here and there.

mimi: she can, and she's a pro. keisuke always spared some time during the summer break to teach her. i'd like to think new york's a better environment to learn how to drive rather than a narrow tokyo, but idk...

jyou: torn between can and a pro (respectable dad of the group™) or cannot at all. can because shuu drives, cannot because he's too clumsy behind the wheel. i love to think shin once joked, "maybe if you drive an ambulance, your patient will be dead before they arrive at the hospital."

takeru: maybe later if he becomes a dad of two kids.

hikari: nope. she has people who are willing to drive her anyway.

daisuke: nope. he can drive a motorcycle and often did so during his apprenticeship in the ramen shop (delivery purpose), but once a supplier asked for his help to move the truck and he ended up hitting the wall. it left him with a bit of trauma. anyway, he prefers the subway during his new york city stage of life.

miyako: yes, mantarou taught her.

iori: nope. 100% public transport guy.

ken: yes, he learned it when he was in the police academy. comes handy while driving his wife and the kids.

mates, i know yamato canonically drives motorcycles, but who do you think could really drive a car?
