Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray extends COVID-19 lockdown in state till April 30
Tumblr media
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, on Saturday, announced that lockdown will be extended in Maharashtra at least till April 30, after attending PM-CM conference
After PM Modi’s conference with all state chief Ministers, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, on Saturday, announced that lockdown will be extended in Maharashtra at least till April 30. Moreover, he added that while it is possible for the government to lift the lockdown in certain places, lockdown in major areas like Mumbai will continue and on a stricter level. Maharashtra has reported 1574 cases with 110 deaths – of which Mumbai amounts to 1008 and 64 deaths.
“I will extend the lockdown in Maharashtra post-April 14 till April 30 at least. The time extension of the lockdown is in our hands. The sooner we break the ‘Sakhli’ (chain) of COVID-19 transmission, we can come out of lockdown. It is possible to lift lockdown in some places and instructions about examinations in schools, universities, allowing industries to be operational, will be given soon. But in major areas, like Mumbai, it is important to extend lockdown,” he said.
Lauding the bravery with which Maharashtra – the state with the highest COVID-19 cases 1574, he said, “It has been 5 weeks since first case in Maharashtra. We have been able to keep it in control in the state, but I want to get it to zero. We are allowing the continuing of farm activities as done in the previous lockdown. It will take time to break the cycle and we have shown great bravery, but one must not spread confusion.”
He also stated that the state was testing and screening the highest number of cases, with 29000 already screened in Mumbai itself. He added that the reason for higher deaths in Maharashtra is due to high risk patients with pre-existing conditions like diabities, kidney failure etc. In some cases, the cases have been detected at the last moment, which has led to higher fatalities.

Coronavirus LIVE Updates: Maharashtra, Bengal extend lockdown till Apr 30, cases at 7529
Maharashtra lockdown extended till April 30 “I will extend the lockdown in Maharashtra post-April 14 till April 30 at least. The time extension of the lockdown is in our hands. lockdown will continue till April 30th. Instructions about examinations in schools, universities, allowing industries to be operational, will be given soon. I request you to not panic.

Kejriwal confirms lockdown extension, says ‘PM has taken correct decision to extend’
Assuring his support to the Centre in the war against Coronavirus, Thackeray said, “All CMs are with PM Modi and he is with us. I have no issues as the Centre is with us and the state is with them. I dont want politics at this time. If this unity what I am seeing continues for long, India will definitely win over Corona and other issues. We have no other option – we must fight and we have to win this war. You be aware, we (government) will take responsibility.”
Apart from Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal have officially extended the lockdown, several other states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Delhi, Tamil Nadu are mulling to extend the lockdown atleast till end of April. Some other states like Chhatisgarh, Meghalaya, Kerala, which have not seen a rapid increase in cases, have preferred a selective lockdown, relaxing curfew in most parts and limiting lockdown to COVID-19 hotspots. Most states have also readied exit-plans in case the Centre does not announce a nationwide lockdown post-April 14.
PM Modi too has hinted at extension of lockdown for 2 weeks, but the Centre is yet to confirm the same. PM stressed that the next three-four weeks will be critical to determine the impact of steps taken till now to curb the spread of the virus, suggesting pecific measures for agriculture and allied sector including modification of APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) laws to facilitate sale of farm produce. India’s current COVID-19 tally is at 7529, with 6634 active cases and 242 deaths.

Before you continue reading, you must know that I am 43 years old and I belong to an era where exercise and gym were for the ‘modern’ and ‘model’ type of girls. Yes, I belong to the stone age of fitness.
As teenagers, we ate till our stomach’s fill and studied very hard to get good grades and used our evenings for gossip because it seemed cool.
Through this post, I will be taking you through the journey of a typical Indian girl who activated her weightloss journey at the ripe age of 40.
Tumblr media
As a child, I was one of the many atheletic children around. We lived a gadget free life. Classes & tuitions were for the ‘dumb’ kids (unless you were in 10th grade)
My childhood days were filled with happy moments playing with loads of friends and activities. I clearly remember, during my school days, I was a dark, skinny girl whose knees were always black and grazed.  ‘Tomboy’, ‘Bhavani’, ‘Gundi’ were names that were given to me when I was growing up. Reason: I was energetic, competitive and athletic.
Tumblr media
During my childhood, I played almost every sport they offered in school and in the evenings I would play badminton, lagori, kho-kho, saakhli, langdi, chippis, marbles, pakda-pakdi, hide & seek and so many games.
Life changed when I started going to college, the gym was for models and sports was for less cool kids. We were the cool kids who hung out at the best cafes and the college canteen was our second home. We discussed lipsticks, clothes, boys and studied hard to get good grades.
Fitness was the last thing on our minds. Maybe we just took it for granted.
I surely did.
Tumblr media
While I was living it, life seemed to be moving at a snail’s pace but looking back, I feel that I zoomed through college, MBA and marriage within seconds!
I never believed that I could put on weight. I was athletic – wasn’t I? I didn’t need to watch what I ate nor did I need to exercise. Did I?
Arre theekh hai, shaadi ke baad toh wajan badhta hi hai, usmein kya?
Tumblr media
Khaate-peete ghar ki bhabhiji/auntyji…that’s what they started calling me
Canteen food at college, tapri food at MBA and Marwari food after marriage!! Hmmn…seems like a recipe for a health disaster!
Well, it was – I steadily turned fat & raced towards ill-health!!
The arrival of kids turns life upside down. My first one was born in 2005 and the second after a long gap in 2013! The second kid sapped a lot of my energy especially since I was 35+ when I delivered.
Tumblr media
Her cuteness kept me going but I was steadily losing health and energy. Weight gain was the primary factor in all my woes.
Chronic fatigue, terrible back pain and lack of energy was a daily story.
Every week, I would decide: ‘Agle Monday sey exercise karungi’
Tumblr media
Little did I realise that my entire thought process was wrong. Focussing on weight-loss was the biggest mistake.
I didn’t know this until one day a simple statement from my son changed my life.
Tumblr media
Find a cause that you can commit to:
It could be something as simple as wanting to fit into a new dress or being able to walk up 4 floors without panting. Or like me, being able to keep up with a hyperactive bunch of kids
It could be moderate like aspiring to run a marathon dream run of 3 km or going for a day-long shopping spree or puja without getting tired the next day
It could be complex like reducing your thyroid/blood sugar or blood pressure levels.
Whatever may be the reason, identify it and just begin!
Keep walking and you will be surprised at what life brings to you.
I used to postpone my fitness journey to ‘next Monday’. I led a very unhealthy lifestyle – no exercise, irregular sleep & meal routine, junk food etc. But when my own 12-year-old son gave up on me, it broke my heart.
I started my fitness journey on Feb 3, 2018 – I will never forget that day because I couldn’t walk more than 450 metres on that day.
Tumblr media
Is my story similar to yours? Are you also struggling to lose weight?
Does my story sound familiar to you?
Are you at a total loss with your efforts to lose weight at getting healthy?
I really hope my post and the #BlogchatterA2Z series on my blogzine inspires you.
Do write in your queries, suggestions and comments. Would love to read and respond.

Dedopali Skylie Teyvat, Divine of Freedom and Creativity
Tumblr media
(Placeholder until I can commission actual art)
MORTAL LIFE
Skylie Teyvat was born in 6002 as Lady Skylie Evangeline, the daughter of Princess Cerulea Evangeline and the youngest of 6 sisters and older than Crown Prince Cobalt Evangeline. She had always been a black sheep of the family, preferring fantasy stories and slaves to the high society of her family, preferring being alone and reading (And writing) her own stories to socializing and reading Lindist scripture.
While in a cherry grove well known by the Royal Family as a small relaxation point just outside Evangeline Capital, Skylie discovered her divine powers via magical portals of unknown origin, through which came animals of unknown origin. She played around with these frequently, but never truly did much with them.
Around her 12th birthday, her parents discovered her seemingly heretical fiction and "Disciplined" her for a week with chains and red hot fire stokers to her face after burning her stories. After this, she quickly fled to the wild, where she encountered the divine Saraia, with whom she became fast friends, and began a variety of adventures, especially after Saraia gifted her the Chess Egg Saraian Rook, who became her mount.
DIVINITY
After beginning her adventures with Saraia, Skylie began to craft monsters from her only surviving story series, the Xaerym Chronicles. These monsters were all designed to be as close to their book counterparts as possible, and were generally successful in that part, all while helping Damiscend build itself into a nation
The first forged were maimuni, simian monsters known for raiding villages to mate with the women there before fleeing to the wild, where they generally don't fight much beyond raiding and self-defense.
While doing this, she also made the Khedva, which are magical items meant to channel elemental magic, even for commoners, meru and unattuned gaians, who can't normally do so, albeit only the element represented by the Khedva
Her monsters were many and varied, especially so the Saurians, groups of monsters seemingly close to the Saraians and their own class: The cetus, boarmoles, bunk'eri, phoenix, ghamuris elva, and watanka. These beasts are more than strong enough to attack ogres and live in social groups, and even have magical powers
Finally were selkies, which could become small seal-like creatures in the water and transform into a near-human form on land. They are also capable of conversing normally to people, and some have set up shops in areas near water, providing those areas a measure of protection against saurians
BEVRI SAKHLI AND THE HERTSOGI
One day, while traveling through the Stonehammer Mountains east of Damiscend, Skylie and Rook crash-landed into a small, highly isolated mountain valley, where a small nation unknown to anyone outside of the realm existed in extreme peace: Bevri Sakhli, Many Home in their unique tongue. This small land had species of every kind, including newer ones born during the Formation.
Their local mythology foretold of a human woman marred by fire and iron astride a white raptor who would come to fight on their behalf against a massive siege dragon they had to sacrifice food to for generations, which Skylie took up arms to do, slaying the beast and destroying its eggs after a several hour fight that almost killed her from exhaustion.
Upon being found unconscious by villagers nearby who heard the fight die down, she was worshipped as a savior of Bevri Sakhli and the true Dedopali, or Queen. Skylie decided to conscript 1 of each species class to become a small council of powerful beings known as the Hertsogi. These Hertsogi would act as extensions of her magical power via Maghali Bodva, extra powerful Khedva that would grant their bearer with the powers of the Hertsogi for life, and only Skylie could grant the powers of the Hertsogi from the Maghali Bodva.
Each class was also given one Maghali Bodva for eternity, meaning only that class could attain the powers from that Maghali Bodva: Fae could attune to the Hydro Maghali Bodva, gaians to the Flora Maghali Bodva, youkai to the Floe Maghali Bodva, eviolans to the Terra Maghali Bodva, meru to the Gale Maghali Bodva, and commoners to the Pyro Maghali Bodva
She also crafted a monster to serve as the 7th Hertsogi over Electro, but the monster took the form of a ball lightning that flew off and split in two, infecting two near-death 4 year old human girls, making them the Electro Hertsogi at perfect health. This unprecedented event caused Skylie to allow the parents to care for them with some help from her, and they retained their pre-monster names: Tamar and Ketevan, who gained the title of Twin Electro Hertsogi.
After the ascendance of Tamar and Ketevan, Skylie chose Matsne, or Heralds, who would aid the Hertsogi with what they needed. This position was for life, and would be selected from any willing bearer of the correct Khedva, even those of a differing class from the Hertsogi, although only if they were could they be the primary heir to the Hertsogi title.
The first Hertsogi, instated by Skylie in Bevri Sakhli, were Natella, the Gale Hertsogi, a Baileif; Setsu, the Floe Hertsogi, a yuki onna; Ali, the Terra Hertsogi, a marinal; Rvapekha, the Hydro Hertsogi, a cecaelia; Didikhe, the Flora Hertsogi, a faun; K'lde, the Pyro Hertsogi, an ogre; and Tamar and Ketevan, the Twin Electro Hertsogi
The Hertsogi were tasked with aiding Skylie when needed, serving as champions in a way, although Tamar and Ketevan were not to do so until they were 21 years old.
After giving many of the most faithful champions in Bevri Sakhli Khedva, Skylie allowed the Hertsogi to select their Matsne: Natella chose the roshava Dameesha Otkhi, Setsu chose his twin sister Hikari, Ali chose the kolari Prta Zevit, Rvapekha chose the elf Anastasia, Didikhe chose the satyr Kalbat'ono, K'lde chose the human Ghumeli, and Tamar and Ketevan were to wait until it could be proven they would age and die like normal, although Skylie said she had designed them to be immortal.
Skylie sent the 6 adult Hertsogi into the world to set up sleeper cells in High Kingdoms, assigning them to specific ones: K'lde and Ghumeli were to infiltrate Evangeline, Rvapekha and Anastasia to Mogdir, Didikhe and Kalbat'ono to Etios, Setsu and Hikari to Folkvar, Natella and Dameesha Otkhi to Matuzu, and Ali and Prta Zevit to Yerim-Mor. Here, their sleep cells would distribute Khedva to those Skylie chose worthy by way of the P'ozitsia, another monster group Skylie made to serve the Hertsogi by forming and teleporting Khedva rapidly between themselves to the region of those who needed a Khedva of that element, based on principles Skylie infused into them:
Gale: A desire for freedom, whether currently pursued or not
Floe: At a crossroads in life, torn between responsibilities and desires, or hiding a secret
Pyro: A passion for something, especially if they dedicate their lives to it
Hydro: A strong sense of justice, dedication, or desire to help others
Flora: Desire knowledge or the truth highly, or bear knowledge that is considered hidden or forbidden
Electro: Those who are outcasts in their society or view the world differently
Terra: A strong determination or hard working, willing to do anything for their goals
The P'ozitsia create roughly 12 Khedva a day each, which hang inaccessible until the Khedva are all teleported to where they are needed for each 24-hour period, save for the ones needed in their location, where they float to the Hertsogi's hands when they enter the P'ozitsia's altar room.
The Hertsogi, Matsne and any new members of their sleeper cells they recruited would then hand the Khedva out to their targets (An effect of a Khedva not given to their bearers), with a focus on discreet methods (Usually by planting it into the bearer's possessions where it will be unpacked, often in a personal bag) to ensure the sleeper cell's members are not discovered.
The sleeper cells also worship Skylie as divine cults, similar to the Knights of Favonius, which K'lde and his sleeper cell work with to aid Khedva distribution.
TRIVIA
Skylie is deathly afraid of chains and iron pole-like objects, such as stokers, poles, and rods, due to her traumatic canon event
A lotta stuff here is Georgian (Caucasian country, not US state) translated for legal distinction from English and because Georgian is actually a kinda tight language tbh. Translations were done using Google Translate

House Of Others (2017) Official Trailer
House Of Others (2017) Official Trailer
Trailer for House of Others (Skhvisi sakhli). Two families have physically survived the ‘real’ war, but are incapable of building a new life in peace: war continues in everyday life because the chaos is inside human beings.

Kejriwal confirms lockdown extension, says ‘PM has taken correct decision to extend’
