my unprompted opinions on sentai swords. Boukenger - Goseiger

Boukenger

Survi-Blades

uhhhhhh. its ugly! it fits the aesthetic of boukenger but its fucking ugly. next

Great Sword Man Zuban / Holy Sword Zuban

this guy. i love it. its an extremely ornate sword and its big as hell and looks cool when they swing it. nothing really to say its a big gold sword that happens to turn into a big gold guy.

Gekiranger

no the saiblade is not a sword. if you think im a hypocrite for counting the silver blazer but not the saiblade well thats tough.

GekiRed’s GekiSabers

these fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. very simply design but still incorporating a shark motif and if theres one season im ok with simple weapon designs its def gekiranger. also twin swords like this are always cool.

its really hard to get good pics of some of this shit you know. im not redownloading episodes just for this. anywayyyyyyy the road saber is fucking cool. red racer wishes he had this motherfucker. its big as shit and the theme is crystal clear and it just fits so well. good stuff

Secret Playback Katana Shinkenmaru

bestttttttt. sleek yet unmistakably toku, totally recognizable as a katana yet so much more involved in the design to set it apart as an iconic toku blade. LOVED that they were holstered on their belts and i loved the guards being their hiden disks. this sword was so cool. the sfx for it were awesome too.

Shinken Red’s Two-Mode Transforming Rekka Daizantou

kaenken rekka fucking who? fuck em. this is THE sword. the biggest bitch ever. the motherfucker supreme. lesser men weep at the sight of this absolute monster. i dont even know what to say. its just. look at it. my god. they were insane to make this thing.

Shinken Red’s Kyoryumaru

this thing was a bit stupid. i dont hate it it was just stupid as shit. not really a match for the rest of the weapon aesthetics honestly. why was it a fucking dinosaur. next

Shinken Gold’s Laceration Calculating Sword Sakanamaru

cant get a good pic of this guy either. anyway i love it. the quick draw technique genta used was fucking cool as shit and it looks like a fish. thats cool. all i really have to say on it though. and yes this is a sword not a dagger its just a short sword.

Goseiger

Gosei Tensword / Super Tensword

ok i havent seen goseiger but im going to extend a branch here and trust that the goseigers did actuallty use this stupid thing like a sword at some point. i didnt even know this was considered a sword until right now i thought it was like those rotary phone staffs in magiranger. it looks dumb but i dont hate it entirely. unless they didnt use it like a sword then fuck them for making me look foolish.

Gosei Red’s Skick Sword

i like it actually. its plain but at this point i consider that to be an old school throwback design so it lands better i guess. idk. ive always had a soft spot for the gosei weapons for some reason.

Gosei Knight’s Leon Laser

remember when i said you can tell they cared more about the gun mode on the aba lasers cuz it wasnt named the aba saber or something. same deal. the leon laser looks sick as all hell in gun mode but this is...ehhh. red blade is cool i guess.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger fanfiction novel- The katanas of the future (ENG)

[Chapter 1: The year 2009 第一幕：2009年]

Today is another typical sunny day. The weather is so sunny that it can make everyone feel comfortable and relieved.

It would be good if this type of weather continues.

Genta works in his sushi cart as usual. He enjoys working in his sushi cart, as he loves making sushi, and he also enjoys making others happy.

Daigoyou is Genta's creation from his mojikara. He is also Genta's friend and co-worker in his sushi cart, and can also turn into a weapon and assist Genta during fights. Daigoyou is also able to turn into a giant and assist the Shinkengers while fighting Ayakashi in their second life.

Genta saw 2 people walking towards his sushi cart, which seemed to be a young woman and a man.

Genta: Oh, welcome!

'Goyou de goyou de!' Daigoyou also responded after Genta greeted them.

The two customers then walked in.

Chiaki waved and said: Yo, Gen-chan!

Chiaki Tani, 20, the 18th Shinken Green. He is a cheerful young man who would try to cheer up his friend along with him whenever they face difficulties.

Genta: Ah, it's Chiaki and Kotoha! You two lovebirds look so sweet together!

All of a sudden, the whole atmosphere became completely silent. Kotoha blushes and quickly denies what Genta has said just now.

Kotoha: No… no… Gen… Gen… Gen-san! It's… not… like what… you think! I…

Kotoha Hanaori, 17, the 18th Shinken Yellow, also the youngest out of the 6 Shinkengers. She is a pure-hearted and kind girl who is always a supporter of everyone.

Genta grinned widely and said: Oh, Kotoha, you're getting shy! Did I say the truth? Chiaki you're blushing too! Haha!

Chiaki: Gen… Gen-chan, you… you little punk!

Chiaki then pretends to fight Genta just like he embarrassed him in front of Kotoha, who is his crush.

Yes, Chiaki has been liking Kotoha ever since the beginning. He is in love with her deeply. And Kotoha also secretly liked him back.

Genta: Help! Stop, Chiaki! What would you like to have this time, Kotoha?

Before Kotoha could think of an answer, the three heard people screaming.

In the screams, there was despair, fear, and sadness.

After a while, the remaining 3 samurai warriors, Takeru, Ryunosuke, and Mako arrive as well.

Takeru: What's this? Silver Nanashi? Never heard of this!

Takeru Shiba, 21, Shinken Red, the head of the Shiba clan and the Shinkengers. Although he is sometimes seen as unexpressive or even arrogant or mean, yet he would always hide his true kindness behind his mask.

Mako: This is unusual!

Mako Shiraishi, 21, the 18th Shinken Pink. She is the 'elder sister' of the Shinkengers and has great care towards others.

Ryunosuke: Lord! I suggest fighting off them first, and I'll investigate the truth behind this afterward!

Ryunosuke Ikenami, 22, the 18th Shinken Blue. A compassionate person, he is very dedicated to his duty as a Shinkenger.

Takeru: Understand. Let's go!

Even though the Shinkengers fought as hard as they could, the Nanashis wouldn't stop spawning. Whenever the Shinkengers kill another one, new ones would just keep on spawning.

Takeru: There are too many of them! Rekka Daizantou! Ryunosuke, aid me!

Ryunosuke: Yes! Water arrow!

Near the battlefield of the Shinkengers, there was a young man who also fought the Nanashis with a sword.

'These guys are so strong! Should I use the new secret weapon and hiden disc?'

'Here. It's the newly developed samurai disc and weapon. I need you to deliver them to the Shiba house immediately. The power will be granted only when one's heart is just and strong enough to wield it.'

'I understand.'

His mind returned to the battlefield.

'Mou! There's no time! I must give it a try!'

He tries to insert the disc into the sword and wields it, which has no color, yet nothing happens.

'Wait, why doesn't it work!'

A Nanashi grabbed the weapon and disc from him.

'Hey, give it back! Argh! It hurts!'

He got hit by a Nanashi and dropped his sword onto the floor.

He then got hit on his stomach and crashed on a wall.

His body was badly injured, then he fell to the ground with a loud sound of 'bang'.

Mako, who noticed him, asked: You alright, kid?

His face shows a twisted painful reaction.

'I'm sorry, Chisato, everyone, I'm unable to fulfill my mission… I can't keep the promise between us…'

He then lost consciousness and passed out.

Kotoha, also noticed him: You alright, kid? Pull yourself together! Mako-chan, I suggest we take him back to our mansion first!

Mako: Ok! Kuroko! I'll leave this kid to you! Take him back to our mansion!

A Kuroko nodded and took Haruki away.

The Kurokos are the Shiba clan's servants and assists the Shinkengers in daily tasks like setting up the scene before a battle and evacuating citizens from battles. They could only assist the Shinkengers behind the scenes as the Kurokos don't have mojikara to fight the Gedoushu.

Chiaki: When are these guys willing to stop? They're endless!

Genta: No idea!

Suddenly all of the Nanashi army vanished into nowhere. The streets were quiet once again.

Takeru: What?

He looked around, and the Nanashi army was completely gone. They are nowhere to be seen.

Ryunosuke: That's weird! Lord, I'll go have a look at what's going on!

Takeru: Uh. I'll leave that to you.

Rokumon junk serves as the base of the Gedoushu, sailing along the Sanzu River, which is located in the Netherworld.

A Nanashi presents the stolen sword and disc from the kid to Shitari, who was waiting on the ship.

Shitari: Very well. What shall we do next, Dayu?

'Not sure, maybe we can use their power to break the seal of this Gedou stone I found a while ago. I wonder what's this?'

Dayu Usukawa, a Gedou born from a woman who loved a man that never loved her back. The man's soul later turns into a shamisen that Usukawa carries and plays along all the time.

Akumaro: This thing. Doesn't seem like it's from modern times. I wonder who's being sealed inside?

An evil, red aura appears around the stone, as if it has a great evil power inside.
