This is one of the greatest films I've ever seen. I have seen it once, the soundtracked version - the cantata by Richard Einhorn written in 1994 matches and uplifts the film. (I've seen other silent films - believe me, they all sound the same). Saint Joan's Day today. Here's a unique one from the shelf.
