god I haven't mentioned it enough here. Myths of the Realm is my enemy. easily my least favorite 24-man- or rather it's my least favorite raid series of either type.
probably made worse by pandaemonium being genuinely very good? the contrast was stark.
weak answer to the question of the twelve's nature, very unambitious and mediocre visual designs that were largely too married to visual fidelity to boring statues and card designs. some real disney's hercules shit. there were some innovative or appealing elements here and there: nald'thal was genuinely great visually and conceptually, I actually respect the concept of making menphina a magical girl instead of a generically hotsexy love goddess, byregot's halo of nails, uh... the models for thalaos and perykos looked good? but overall they were a bunch of very boring idealized humans.
and my god eulogia is the ugliest thing. eulogia might actually be the most hideous execution of a concept in the game yet, you might as well just clip all of the models of the twelve into each other and play their animations at once and get the same effect. zero elegance, zero thoughtful design. it's actually shocking to see in a game where we got perfect omega as a raid boss once upon a time. even eden's promise, while superficially a hot mess, is a hot mess because it pays homage to extant depictions of artemis! art history is why it looks like that! eulogia looks like the artists were asked to recreate knife dad from monster factory using ffxiv assets.
and you might ask, well, are the mechanics of the fights better than the boss designs? absolutely not. week one aglaia was a little fun, because there being a chance of failure to people not knowing the trick of the meteors in the rhalgr fight or panicking during the nald'thal scales instead of just deliberately failing the mechanic to waste everyone's time. gear creep destroyed any chance of interacting with most of the fun bits of aglaia, and they didn't repeat that "mistake" in the other two, which were boring and easy from the jump. just an absolute void of challenge or chaos. why even bother putting mechanics into your raid at that point, apparently that's only for savage.
and the rewards... boy I hope you like ugly yellow-gold saint seiya armor and generic draping faux-hellenistic robes and vague suggestions of togas. I hope you fucking gluttons for endless less-problematic rehashes of ancient greek mythology like gaudy costume jewelry and sandals and meaningless neoclassical flourishes. did you want gear that might look like something your character would wear in a city they've visited or that has a connection to a historical aesthetic? I guess if you make believe you can stretch a tenuous bond from this tacky armor to the uniform robes and masks of the ancients. ostensibly. since we all know the ancients didn't have a societal taboo about ornamentation or making your clothes individualized or anything.
so what did we achieve? did we learn anything? turns out the twelve were real all along, but also powerless except in the specific context of having flashy anime duels with the warrior of light. it's VERY important that we say they aren't primals, because primals are only summoned by primitive subhumans like the ixal and the garleans. but we do need you to fight them to return their aether to the star because... they're definitely not primals! no. not primals. primals are fake gods, and the twelve are *aetheric constructs* based on *real people* made by *hydaelyn*, which means they're good and Not Primals. the mechanic by which they visually reflect the beliefs of their followers? definitely not the same as the one that does that for primals. their nebulous dependence on the faith of eorzeans? totally unrelated to primals, because it's apparently important for the ego of the players that *their* god is real and not fake, which makes them ontologically good and righteous.
and it's definitely satisfying to find out that the goddess whose name gave weight and gravity to the reveal of the warrior of light's past incarnation and their name... is called that because she was a failed candidate for that role? she's a consolation prize sun goddess?
for that matter it's definitely satisfying to find out that the twelve are just recreations of venat's boring ancient friends, who are largely nameless and have no significance to you or your interaction with the past aside from a mediocre sidequest. oh it's so thrilling to know that the god of crafting used to be hytholdaeus's coworker. this would mean so much to me if he had any role in the setting beyond a skill name and a rock sitting in an overworld zone.
admittedly it would also suck for the reveal to be "actually eorzea's gods did create the world and are all-powerful, boy it sure is silly that those delusional foreigners are out here worshipping kami and manusya and mrga and primals which are all FAKE, as opposed to us (non-beastman) eorzeans who have the literal mandate of heaven"
but surely there's a more elegant solution (ambiguity, leaving questions instead of a glut of answers, not making this raid series at all). was this really the best they could come up with?

I'd make a longer post (and maybe one day I will) but since Lore Olympus, the story that introduced me to webtoons is coming to an end I'd like to say something:
I can't believe it is considered problematic. It has to be one of the sweetest, fluffiest, simplest stories I have read (hence why I still like it, it's a relaxing read before bed) and somehow it got too "kinky" for mainstream. It's laughable.
Everytime I dare to click on their tag or look for the # on Twitter or FB I see people clutching their pearls as if Lore Olympus were brainwashing teenagers into marrying a non existent God of the dead and have babies with him. What the hell?
The fact that people think LO is too dark makes me laugh. A single episode of Rick&Morty, BoJack Horseman or HQS has way more explicit content and dialogue. In fact!!! If it were up to me LO would have gotten genuinely kinky!!! All it does is have some surface spicy tropes that get sugar coated to not make puritans awkward and tbh that's sad. LO and the author get terribly hated anyway for daring to portray the most common female fantasy.
And this all makes me laugh but also mad because you'd think LO at least has some genuine dark themes but no? At most we have Persephone's trauma due to Apollo's abuse and yet that topic is treated as a therapy pamphlet because people couldn't handle an imperfect victim. Hades is a wife guy who shows little to no anger. Hera was re written to be sort of a feminist so that people stopped being annoying about women having emotions.
LO is a sweet, simple story with tiny spicy things here and there that were eventually pushed aside because people couldn't handle it. I wonder how Rachel feels about this, because at the beginning the story was extremely spicy and the only crime was being published in a platform as webtoon, full of people who can't differentiate reality from fiction.
Is LO a masterpiece? Idk! I enjoy the story, it's very self indulgent for me, but I won't go and analyze every detail to see how it should be labeled as it's not meant to be a perfect media. It's meant to be an entertaining, nice story of romance and it does that job very well. This need to demand perfect writing while also crucifying authors over "dark" themes is ridiculous and contradictory.
And I keep wondering, if these people loathe LO so much, why dedicate all that time to the infinte posts they make about how they would have told the story? And all those re tellings are boring! It's always "So Persephone and Hades won't ever kiss here because she's a lesbian. Also he doesn't appear at all. And Demeter isn't an abusive mom! Oh and everyone is ugly because gods shouldn't be beautiful! And Apollo isn't evil he's uwu baby. And no toxic relationships here, Zeus is a good husband!"
Sweet Gaia, you guys wouldn't handle Saint Seiya having Athena in the body of a teenage girl with big tits and who's constantly in the edge of breaking her virginity vows. This attitude screams of jealousy and puritanism and both are disgusting.
TLDR: LO being too problematic for people is both funny and annoying. I wished it actually were as kinky and dark as people insist it is. I'd pay for a toxic romance, but that being said, I LOVE it very much as it is and it's nice to have a re telling that, while not pretending to be loyal to mythology, didn't go for a route of sanitizing all the myths. I hope that once it ends haters will move on and let real fans and the author alone. 🙏

sorry my shitty wording
favorite ships, yeah... why not yapping about my first """problematic""' ship? i mean YEAH its considered problematic since it's brother/brother and both are minors (...antis consider it problematic?) but ehh- uh- you get it.
it's Andromeda Shun and Phoenix Ikki from Saint Seiya series. Shun is 13 and Ikki is 15. and they have SO MUCH CHEMISTRY, what was Kurumada cooking?? it's just so good...
they're both orphans, just like most saints in Saint Seiya. at some point, each saint, at the age of 7-9, had to go at some place in the world to train for 6 years and get their respective armor, Shun was chosen to go to the Death Queen Island, which is considered hell on earth. Ikki didn't want his little brother to suffer, so he went to DQI instead of Shun, the latter going to Andromeda Island. they're right, it WAS hell on earth. Ikki made a friend (and crush) named Esmeralda, which they both have a cute story imo but... Ikki what do you mean you saw your brother in Esmeralda. what do you mean you dreamed with him. what do you mean by Esmeralda saying "you thought i was your brother again?" WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT.
then after a fuckton of bad things happening to the mf he gets the Phoenix armor and becomes a bad person, like consumed by HATE after all he went trough in DQI. he doesn't even love Shun anymore because of his mind state, calling him weak and gullible. after many many fights (i don't wanna spoil y'all okay PLEASE watch Saint Seiya) bro becomes a good person again and there's even some wholesome scenes of both sobbing, Ikki wiping Shun's tears, the whole team celebrating Ikki is back, etc.
tho he isn't very present during the fights, Ikki appears sometimes, often to save Shun, or to motivate him to keep fighting. also, i really gotta talk about their fight against Virgo Shaka. i don't want to say much to not spoil the fight, but let's say: Shun fights Shaka, gets all fucked up, Ikki comes and saves him, fights Shaka, loses his 5 senses (or whatever they're called in english), fucking dies (he's a Phoenix he'll be play), Shaka supposedly dies (he didn't but became a better person), and yeah. my memory is a but rusty. AUGGHH SORRY TERRIBLE WORDING AND YAPPING... anyways watch saint seiya (1986), it's pretty slow but it's worth it.
:O I’VE ACTUALLY SEEN THIS ONE IN PASSING BEFORE!! Also HELPPP??? Those tones are not normal/silly thank you for the recommendation, also I love old anime soo I’ll definitely check this one out once I have the time :D
and again the ship does seem spicy, i 100% understand the vision, at least just from hearing abt it 🙏

Now with your idea of a Time Travel AU I keep imagining the Gold Saints rushing there after sensing the sudden appearance of several powerful individuals only to end up fighting the Pegasus Saints and then being crushed to the ground by the powerful cosmos of an irritated Rodorio.
This is going to be long...
First, the Pegasus have been transported after their death and are aware that they are the reincarnations of Rodorio. This is so that they are more or less able to stick together with each other. But they don't know about each other's history and experiences. With that said, let's continue with the situation at hand:
Marcus is quickly stopped by Tiberius to prevent him from murdering someone.
Shaina is saved from being killed by Badru thanks to Aioria, who was watching Seiya gain his armor. These two are facing each other but do not reach the point of unleashing a thousand-day battle since Badru is more interested in going after Shaina and Aioros tries to keep him as far away as possible.
Orisos is doing everything he can to keep Tiguaak alive because his tuberculosis is still present so he can't calm things down for now.
The two sides of Saga are fighting each other, preventing him from acting properly.
Now is when the rest of the golden saints begin to appear
Aldebaran is the first to appear, as Aioria is taking care of Badru and Marcus is controlled. It focuses on emptying the coliseum to minimize injuries and deaths since the rest of the unknown people do not seem interested in attacking for now.
And since the Patriarch seems calm he decides that this is the best course of action. Once he clear the colosseum, he will help Aioria with Badru.
The problem is that now all the goldens who are in the Sanctuary are hot-blooded. So conflict is inevitable
The moment Deathmask appears he is involved in a fight with Chusor who was already waiting his turn to have fun. They are both idiots so it will be difficult to separate them.
Shaka was outside the Sanctuary but is on his way.
Milo forces Jaidev to fight even though he had been watching silently for now.
The moment Shura appears, Herve decides he's waited long enough and joins the chaos to see what he can discover. He and Shura are the ones who distance the most from the coliseum, Herve only wants to get information and Excalibur is no threat to him. Shura is not having fun as his attacks seem to have no effect on his opponent.
Camus was in Siberia but he is on his way.
Aphrodite was on his way to kill Daidalos but is forced to turn around and run back to the Sanctuary.
Aldebaran eventually joins Aioria and manages to stop Badru long enough to give Shaina time to get away.
Let's focus on the rest of the Pegasus saints:
Felix is not well, he is twelve years old, he has died, he is alive again. Everything he had plugged up during his life has exploded and he doesn't know how to process the trauma or his feelings, so he is a disaster and he still can't lose control because he is a quasi-Piscis saint and has poisonous blood. And he could accidentally kill most of the Sanctuary.
Ganzorig, who should be one of the most problematic because of his bold and combative personality, is being one of the best behaved because he is a father and is trying to console Felix.
Tenma had initially tried to calm the situation but the moment the fight between Milo and Jaidev started he gave up and also tries to console Felix. Neither he nor Ganzorig are getting results.
Aleksandros has wisely chosen to stay close to Rodorio to avoid being forced into a fight like Jaidev and is just observing the chaos.
Seiya, poor Seiya who only wanted his cloth has been frozen in place because Rodorio has sat on the Pegasus cloth box and emits an aura that says anyone who bothers me is going to die.
And now comes Rodorio who is enjoying the show because he has no problem with the saints fighting eachother. Waiting for Athena to appear and stop this disaster but his patience quickly runs out when he sees that she doesn't show her face.
The situation can end in three ways.
1º The best option. Camus manages to arrive and Orisos grabs him by the neck to help him stop Tiguaak's tuberculosis. With that controlled he can calm the situation.
2nd. Rodorio gets tired of waiting for Athena to appear and stops the situation, unleashing his cosmos forcing the saints and reincarnations that are fighting to stop and goes to get information from Saga. Whose both sides are panicking about the monster approaching them.
3rd Shaka arrives before Camus, tries to unleash the Tenbu Hōrin (sense deprivation), Ganzorig is not amused so he pushes Felix into Tenma's arms and they engage in a highly destructive fight until Rodorio gets tired and we continue with option Nº2

INTRODUCTION
Greetings everyone, here's my bio....feel free to block if you're not a fan of what I post, I don't mind. Anyways...
ABOUT ME
Saga, Adult (Over 20), Gay Man & Taken, System, Mentally+Chronically ill, Fictionkin, Selfshipper, Proshipper.
For a long time, I've wanted to make a blog where I can post about the more "inappropriate" stuff that I am into that falls under the proship umbrella. I want to find other people with similar interests to me that are also proship.
I am mainly a fan of Saint Seiya, Hetalia and G/ndam (UC). My favorite pairings are Saga x Seiya, Saga x Kanon, Kanon x Sorrento, Ikki x Shun, UsUk, and Charm/ro but I have others from these fanbases.
I kin Saga, and identify with him heavily. Figure that's important.
If my intro ends up showing in the main tags for my interests, I apologize-that is unintentional of me.
By calling myself a proshipper, I mean that I ship some stuff with problematic elements, and don't really care about what other people ship as long as they don't bring dark ideals into reality-simple as that. I do not care for shipping discourse, as I feel there are far more important things to worry about. I will not engage with hate or drama.
DNI
Antis
Minors
Discourse heavy blogs
Anti fictionkin
Basic criteria (homophobic, ableist, blah blah)
I'm not sure what else to put here, I just hope that I can meet some nice people to talk about stuff I like with. Thank you for reading! I follow back from my main where I don't post abt proship stuff, if you want to talk abt that kind of thing @ me here instead ^_^

Deliberate Omissions:
I have specifically excluded all sports manga and non-battle battle series (e.g. death note, promised neverland, food wars, etc). Comedy series have been included on the basis of whether their story follows the structure of a battle shonen - Gintama has been excluded, for example, as it is usually more focused on episodic comedy.
I have specifically chosen to both exclude Chainsaw Man and Attack on Titan as I feel their tone and narrative themes make them too different to the rest of the competitors to be a fair contest. (I considered the same for FMA but chose to leave that).
In addition, I refuse to include Rurouni Kenshin due to the actions of its mangaka. While there are other manga on this list with problematic creators there is an order of magnitude between them and what Nobuhiko Watsuki has done and I cannot in good conscience endorse his work.
If anything not covered in these is missing it's either because I forgot or just didn't give enough of a shit about it.

Not a Sessrinner pedo apologist trying to pretend they’re not one in the IY subreddit and trying to make Sessrin look less “weird” by creepily going through/stalking an anti Sessrin’s post history to see if they ship anything problematic as a “gotcha!
Dude(ette,) I don’t deny I ship problematic shit but considering at least all of them are between consenting adults close in age where neither raised the other and are actually canon, your gotcha isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is! Nice try trying to justify pedophilia and grooming in any way, shape, or form by pulling the “but what about THIS weird thing?!”
If you don’t think pedophilia is objectively the absolute most abhorrent and evil thing in the world with only Zoophilia being comparable, you might just be either an apologist or a pedo yourself, so which is it? Cause neither is a good look.
Then they tried to pull the “A-AT LEAST SHE WAS 18!!!!” card while still denying they ship it and immediately mass deleted all their comments and even their obvious burner account in a fit of salty butthurt before I got the chance to even reply back.
Girl ya ain’t the slick, sit the fuck down if you really believe Pedohime’s asspull contradictory timeline! 😂😂😂
From what I've seen even though things have simmered down since that anime ended; the more desperate they have gotten, going into places like reddit and twitter to try to stir the view on their favor. Which mostly just backfires because anyone with pair of eyes 👁️👁️ and understanding of even a little math can tell they're reaching. The other day somebody told me:
"I remember not liking at all the Saint Seiya's spin-off "Episode G" and nobody in the fandom forced me to consider it canon since it wasn't drawn by Masami Kurumada, only in the Inuyasha fandom these kind of things happen".
I swear got second hand embarrassment even though I ain't a saucerib. We're getting the side eye from other fandoms cause of these people being insecure clowns. Sigh.
I honestly recommend people to stand your ground and don't let them gaslight you along with them because that's what they want in their bid of desperation they got going on. I had them once trying to "Gotcha" me to because I'm a "monsterfucker". I like monsters, I like the "beauty and beast" trope, and I like the idea of this monster/beast adopting a human kid and taking care of them like their own child too. It's wholesome cute. Those things. Not the thing they warped out of proportion. So when some sinners figured that out their like "oh but you ship.."
Yeah. I know.
But here's one of thing about my monster x human ships. The human partner isn't a complete doormat and they have control. Consent. Always. And the monster partner didn't just go and meet them when they were practically a baby. Anything the other way around I don't touch. I also ain't dying of this hill either. Just vibing. And minding my business. I get where you are coming from anon. So don't let others try to pull the "but your/this is worst" card cause most likely than not compared to their mental gymnastics, you're harmless and know how to stay in your lane.

Problematic trope: Age gap!
Gimmie a “problematic” fictional trope (ie: age gap, teacher student, etc) [OPEN]
Any of my ships that fit it
I have a lot hahaha, it's not my fault that the protagonists of Saint Seiya are so young while acting grown.
SagaxSaori,KanonxSaori,SagaxSeiya ShuraxShiryu (uwu), AioriaxSeiya, MuxShiryu, ShakaxIkki,AfroditaxShun and a long etc
I would go deeper on why I like these ships but they are too many, if you'd like any ship to get explained please tell men :)
General Opinion
I don't actively seek age gap ships, but I am not against it either. Sometimes, the age difference makes the dynamic of the ship more interesting and adds deep to the relationship.
I do hate the "wide eyed child that gets romanced by an older adult that corrupts them" dynamic tho. I like it when the younger partner has as much agency as the older one. Also YA romance has soured my enjoyment of younger female x older male ships with some exceptions. For example, I like Saori x Saga/Kanon only if the one with the power in the ship is Saori, with the whole knight x princess(goddess) power dynamic
Any ships that aren’t canon it But I’d read w/ the trope
I dont know? I don't actively look for age gaps in my ships, so i can't think in any ship right now... Maybe I'll edit this later when I remember any

1, 7, and 15 for the ask thing :3
favorite character/s and why
Have you met my boy Zelik I love him it's cause he's so ridiculously hot and tailored to my specific taste it's unfair
I've been thinking a lot about Niko from Caligula like I. I just really love her and how she's handled. I need to post some of my brain dumps about her on my site cause I think a lot about how her issues and how they reflect in her actions and how she reacts to killing Marie and I can't. Spoil anything here but God. God. Characters that cause me so much brain.
Been thinking about Sweet-P a bit again (I love her but she took a backseat for a bit) and specifically the tone like. A lot of ppl complain about the handling of Sweet-P but [Hello I am Caligula defender#1] but specifically like. The discussion of if the path to what you think you wants makes you miserable constantly - if it is painful and horrible - you can just quit. Perhaps you should just quit. Maybe you should find ways to be happy that aren't painful and don't feel suffering is necessary. And specifically the way that that's not like tied to her gender its very much about this concept of having appearance goals. [continues talking for a few hours]
And since he's in my icon; I like Ike-P cause he's a dramatic bitch- and also the dysmorphia is serious.
7. unpopular ship/s you like
We could be here a while; Kai/Ren from CFV (No Aichi Never Aichi), Lavi/Krory, Kuroto/Emu, Parad/Emu, Z/Right, Sougo/Heure Benetnasch Eta Mime/Phoenix Ikki, Saga/Shaka, Shura/Shiryu, Adam/Langa, and more I'm stopping with the Saint Seiya plague
15. hot fandom take?
The entire drama of "waaa Shoutarou and Philip is problematic" is a load of nonsense when the show goes so aggressively on ship baiting htem and Shoutarou doesn't have a canon age and Philip is a digimon like. They are very clearly meant to be close enough in age. The whole thing is so silly and feels like one person kicked up shit because they didn't like the ship and wanted to justify themselves.

Eheheh yes!!! Yes!!!
Since you've posted the ✨lore✨I add here my impressions + some stuff I thought while reading the rambles since somehow my mind wandered off and started making theories. Some are questions for the worldbuilding bc I’m curious, some others are just chit chat.
Probably I need to update my knowledge a lil bit of the Pokémon Universe, but this is a start (haven’t checked much for this franchise after the Sun and Moon games).
Since Sanctuary is a region does it mean that the marine world is also part of it or it’s a completely different plase (same question for the Underworld)?
Like while I was reading, I imagined it as some sort of ancient underwater ruins on the coast but still in this region or somewhere in a small archipelago not so far, the mainland (still underwater). So, the main PC has to move around and explore, before learning of its existence.
Same for the Hades Arc that is… well… the Underworld. My best guess would be to put it somewhere underground since at one point my mind remembered of the Underground City of Naples. To explain it, there’s the city but you can get in this great network of tunnels, cavities that sort of follow the city on the surface, some parts are actually living spaces while others are actually catacombs (edgy vibe). It's a city under the city.
I don't know if you've already some ideas for the Shoko Route, but the first thing that came in my mind was for Katya to do the Silver-esque rival. From what I can recall from the manga, she and other 2 silver saints were sent to capture Saori. Can be linked or not to the Sanctuary’s League Corruption problem (Katya works for the Sanc. Then has some regrets or change of heart and change sides) but if you ever need to have a Ikki for the route, here you go.
For the other Saintias, I don’t know, since they never had anything, rivalry related like Seiya’s group had in the Galaxian Wars Arc? Mostly bc Shoko’s main goal is to save her sister and not to fight against the fake Pope like it was for the Bronze Saints (yeah in the manga there’s also the Saga moment but there’s all the Ares plot so uhm I don’t know if you want to do something with that). Maybe Mii, who is Saori’s personal maid can be the first friendly-rival with the excuse of wanting to test Shoko’s skills and determination to serve Athena?
I don't know why I got so interested in the Shoko Route, probably bc I really really liked the manga.
Regarding the BIG EVIL! Organizations ft. Poseidon and Hades, there isn’t really a lot to say here but just to be sure, those two already existed at the ND time and have always been pointed as scapegoat to draw attention away from the corruption problem or it’s something made up by the Elite Four for the occasion?
I picture in my head that the administration for the Sanc. League has always been problematic (the chairman position is often empty, or it passes a lot of time between a leader and another one, so in the meantime there’s a substitute so more problems with it as well etc.) but after Saga’s involvement and activities the whole thing just got so much worse they really needed somebody to blame for the general instability.
I haven’t watched Omega yet so there’s not a lot I can say with. I know I should be adding my silly comment on it but y'all have to wait until I have seen with my two globes of sight the Series U_U
At this point I’ve wrote enough. Time to get to the random comments section of the wall text where I write the stuff my mind thought while reading.
MU HAS A SWABLU OMG AND HE CARRIES LOVE LETTERS OMG
Deathmask is a lil loser 💖 I also misread this part and thought actually owned the casino (which can help explain why some people connected to Saga’s got a place in the Elite4)?
Shaka’s as a professional broadcaster needs a fanart. Does he help Saga’s with hiding the real situation of the Sanc. League as well or he just shoves it off (like he doesn’t talk abt it or, at least in public shows to have a neutral/positive opinion of it)?
Old man yaoi
Last thing, I can guess (?) that each Saint lives in a different city in the Region and the PC has to go to all of them in a precise order (zodiac wise) to get the badges. Like, you can’t go in Shaka’s city or asking him to battle you without first having obtained Aiolia’s badge (?).
Okay, so uhm. That was my opinion I got after getting the ✨lore✨do what you want with it 😂
StS x Pokemon AU brainstorming stuff
Now I'll have to publicly share some flow of thoughts rambles, I've been accumulating for an year now.
Bless @ectogusher for listening to my rambles, and @doodlingwren for busting my door open to finally share what I got.
Excuse me as I talk in my notes as if these things were like a guide/romhack shit
All under read more bc it gets long c:
Here's the main skeleton of this whole deal-
Sanctuary = Its own region. No new fakemons, but it's a sizeable piece of land that has gathered up a wide variety of various species found across the globe. This worldwide thing also influences the type of trainers and people from all over the world going there. If we were to touch on the subject of game mechanics: There would be most of them (Mega evolutions, terastalise, Dynamax even Paradox pokemon forms) further showing how mysterious and mythical this region is.
PC - Seiya / Shoko Rivals - Seiya -> The other bronze boys / Shoko ->The other saintias
With Ikki being the Silver-esque type of rival, meanwhile Shiryu/Hyoga/Shun all follow the same line of friendly rival archetype. I still haven't thought that far on the Shoko route.
Other prominent NPCs:
Professor Shion: Former gym leader, he was once offered the champion title but refused it. Claiming that his passion was in research and studies, rather than the battlefield. Due to stepping down from battles, his friendship/relationship with Dohko has strained over time. Shion is the one who brought Mu to Sanctuary down the line.
Schoolkid Kiki: Catching Tutorial NPC. He can be usually found at the Pokemon School in Mu's city. He will inherit Mu's mantle down the line. The pokemon he uses in the tutorial is a Noibat;
League Chairwoman Saori Kido - With Julien Solo and Hades coming in as other seemingly "investors" on the project
Gym leaders: Most of these guys' aces aren't fully evolved, bc they chose to keep them like that. Yadda yadda friendship boosting their favorites.
Mu: Sinnoh - Dragon - Dragonair
Aldebaran: Hoenn - Ground - Rhydon
Saga/Kanon: Alola - Water - Gyarados (Saga)/Kingdra (Kanon)
Deathmask: Kalos - Dark - Murkrow
Aiolia: Sanctuary (native) - Electric - Electabuzz
Shaka: Kanto - Psychic - Alakazam
Dohko: Johto - Fighting - Mienshao
Milo: Unova - Bug - Volcarona
Elite fours:
Aiolos: Sanctuary - Fire - Charizard
Shura: Galar - Steel - Metagross
Camus: Sinnoh - Ice - ? (Either Froslass or Glaceon)
Aphrodite: Paldea - Poison - Roserade
Champion - ??? (the plot twist is that: the PC wouldn't fight the 3rd gym leader, bc Saga was pretending to be the champion. When he really wasn't chosen or appointed to that position)
Evil organisations: They definetely do exist, and they are obviously tied to the aforementioned Julien and Hades figures. But I still haven't thought that far.
Worldbuilding notes:
Muvians are similar to draconids (introduced in ORAS), a small tribe that originates from Sinnoh and has some deep connections and bonds to dragon types. Which means, any muvian = dragon type specialist or in the very least owns one. Muvians are also meant to have a foot in aura sensitivity (see characters like Lucario, Riley, etc.);
Sanctuary's League has a rampant corruption problem, as seen by what I mentioned about Saga. The two evil organisations are basically being pitched against one another, as smokescreen for the real problem. Their current champ is this sort of "elusive" figure. There hasn't been a proper champion in a long time. And yet, according to paperwork and the system, it states that the role is currently filled by someone. Anyone that isn't tied to Saga's schemes is left in the shadows, even those that allegedly should be the closest to him (Aiolos for SURE has no clue of what's going on. He's probably hiding or declared missing in action during the events, and only shows up when the time comes to challenge the E4).
There's a small timeline:
ND folks (a good few years into the past) -> Classic folks -> Omega folks (+20 years into the future)
In ND's setting we see how odd and hapharzadly the League was instated in the region. Which sets up the perfect grounds for Saga to exploit down the line;
Shion and Dohko are recently turned gym leader here. Mu comes onto the picture a good few years after ND's events; In a way, since Tenma would be the PC here and Alone his rival. It could be the Red vs Blue type of ordeal.
In Omega we'd see how the League is trying to remedy its reputation & amend for Saga's schemes, with an entirely new set of gym leaders and League members. + Former league members can still be found and fought in the post game, Silver/Gold style.
Individual notes:
Mu - Obligatory pokemon Aldemu food
Mu used to own a Gible and Alde once owned a Trapinch, at some point they traded pokemon. So now, Alde has a Garchomp in his personal team and Mu has a Flygon;
Mu's battle team against young trainers has a Swablu, which is used as a messenger to carry mail exchanges between him and Alde;
Mu LOVES pokemon dolls and has a huge collection of it. In the post-game: PC can find Mu and Alde on a date at the region's big mall, with them looking at a shop's display window. Mu gets mad at PC for ruining his date, but would give out his pokegear number;
Aldebaran -
Aldebaran gym's city is also where the pokemon day-care can be found. He may not run it, but he often helps out the elderly couple currently in charge of it;
In the post-game: After adding Mu's re-match call number. Alde can ba found on the route between his and Mu's towns, he was on his way to take a meal for him, and he also shares with PC that they bought the doll in the end
Saga/Kanon -
PC doesn't really get to fight for the 3rd gym badge. Rather, it's simply handed out by Kanon, who approaches them to talk about how the leader hasn't been seen in so long;
Saga's "fall from grace" comes from a humiliating match against Aiolos, originally fighting for the E4 member promotion which he lost. Despite the clear type advantage;
It's left implied that these two were meant to be gym leaders, the matches would have been double battles.
Deathmask -
DM gym's city houses a Game corner (Casino) and a contest hall. First sighting of an E4 member is Aphrodite, who introduces PC to them;
DM is a sore loser AND has no qualms with cheating against his challengers, if it means he gets to maintain his "streak". In the battle against PC he would use an overleveled Crawdaunt;
In the post-game: PC will get a hint from Shaka's radio talkshow mentioning DM's whereabouts, in the city's underground game corner;
DM's strength is everything philosophy = DM's entire personal team consists of very strong dark types with some form of 4x weakness;
DM is well in kahoots with Saga's schemes;
Aiolia - TBA I haven't thought anything for him c':
Shaka -
Shaka gym's city is meant to be the largest and the most advanced one (Saffron and Goldenrod cities style), it has the region's largest shop for expensive and important items. It also has a radio tower, which broadcasts various programs (professor talk, loterry ticket, poke flute, etc), Shaka hosts a talk show where he commentates on PC's progress, all while actively putting down/poking fun at his defeated colleagues. Under specific time slots, he will have a guest join him, which will be an exchange between the various league's members. But the most important one is where he will be joined by the region's "champion";
Shaka is a fan-favorite across several trainers in the region, with many NPCs commentating how much they love tuning in to hear him talk & so on;
Shaka is also well known for his psychci prowess (Sabrina style);
Shaka is also deeply involved in Saga's schemes;
Dohko -
Dohko gym's city also houses the pokéathlon. With Dohko going undefeated in all the challenges, until PC comes along;
Post-game: to get Dohko's number for rematches. PC has to visit Shion after obtaining a certain number of species then, take a mail key item to Dohko. And THEN they get Dohko's number. it's a love letter, an invitation for some tea at noon
Milo - TBA I haven't thought anything for him c':
And "unfortunately", that's all I got x)
I suppose this is a lot better than trying to find all my notes scattered around all over the place. Hope it makes sense or that in the very least, it's fun to read through.
RN I focused on the classic folks bc it's the one I've been working and thinking of for the longest time.

Fic Authors Self-Rec
in response to this tag game, my answers requested by @gauzyfruitcake! (sorry it took me so long friend!)
“Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗”
sincerity is scary – a Leovin fic from Detroit Become Human. My longest work yet, still so very proud of it.
faux cat day – Another Leovin fic. Comedy is my one true love despite it being so hard to write, this is my fic with the most shenanigans. I need to return to this vibe.
milk tea – Tina/Chloe again from Detroit Become Human. Just a sweet little thing, I need to write more lesbians.
zoetrope – A gen Schwarz fic from Weiss Kreuz (an ancient fandom and one of my first) I wanted to write something I actually liked for this fandom for like 20 years! I’m very happy with how this one turned out. I still want to write more for them, there has never been enough Schwarz as family out there.
axia – Ikki/Shun from Saint Seiya. My problematic ship I guess, but you know Kurumada himself ships them also, because if not why are they Like That
Tagging (if you want to <3) @indigo-a-creeping, @rainbyotes, @archadianskies

If you feel confident answering, what are your top most problematic badwrong ships? ;) (either just CV or in general lol)
Only if you promise i won't lose your friendship :( But alright iothgmlmrdkngmlrsnb
Well, though i'm not as active in the fandom as I used to be, when I was really into Saint Seiya, I was shipping twincest (Saga x Kanon, Aspros x Deuteros, and Hypnos x Thanatos). I think it's the "worst" kind of ship i have ? (i feel like it's nothing though lol) I don't know about CV eorighermlkgnsrklmng i have some suspicious ships, but "problematic badwrong" ? I don't know ?? I guess most of my ships with Dracula are ? Like, a ship with Dracula means big age gap and/or big power dynamics and holy shit can this bitch be a manipulative rat <3 It's pretty hot. <3 (the only exception is with Death cuz i just can't see them being problematic nor toxic for each other :/ They'd be the perfect twisted couple if Dracula wasn't so wife-obsessed smh. actually, Dracula x his Castle is also an exception) But it depends on how it is written too, like, sometimes, it's just him railling/getting railed for the sake of it lol. And other times, it's him manipulating young devil forgemasters for sexual arousal <3 Or disgracing a Belmont in the house of God ;3 i'm so weak for religious desecration right now. Well, okay, i did have thoughts about him doing... things to teen!Isaac, that's pretty "problematic".... but i can't ignore the call of trauma and mental scars
Outside of that, i am a very pure person with only good ships and healthy dynamics. <3
#now if we talk about kinks... it's another story#castlevania#saint seiya#ask#beevean ask#shipping#proship

this kind of anti rhetoric by some fans is so funny to me bc like. theyre all DEATH TO INCEST but seem to disregard literally sooo many canon examples of pairings that could be considered problematic bc its their fave or something i mean did you guys see crimson youth??? abel was stated to be athena's brother literally so early in the movie yet was basically in LOVE with his sister and tried to kiss her at some point even.
ive even seen some people saying saori x seiya is like, bad or something??? but then they ship like,, a bronze saint with one of the golds or something??? and i just have no idea why?? how do these people even determine whats problematic and whats not at this point bro
Antis in the saint Seiya fandom unwittingly shipping problematic ships are so fucking common?? Just saw someone with "against pedophilia" on their bio reblog a nsfw art of shaka and Saori, when Saori is canonically 13. Also in twitter saw someone calling random shippers gross while shipping Kanon x Thetis (28 and 15)
I don't know why but I find it really funny
The one that cracks me up is if you go by the manga, Hyoga/Shun (like the most popular pairing in the series) is technically incest since they're half brothers.
And I'm surprised NO ONE'S said that Shiryu/Shunrei is incest because they were raised as siblings when Shiryu was training under Dohko.
And not to mention the super huge age gap with Shion (200+) and Mu (~20-ish?)
Also, I think Ikki/Pandora is technically getting into incest territory since Pandora is Hades' sister and Shun is Hades' vessel and Pandora wants to fuck her brother's vessel's brother.
Also, why are antis even IN the Saint Seiya fandom? Saint Seiya is based on Greek Mythology! Do you know how much problematic content is in Greek Mythology?!

Hey! Just to tell you I loved your critique against that Achilles Song book and I agree with you that I hate how Greek (and at lesser or more degree Roman or Egyptian) classics are changed in a nonsense way just to please the modern reader and give them a progressive agenda to the characters.
Just for curiosity, what do you think about fantasy media that is inspired in ancient Greek myths and legends like Percy Jackson books or Saint Seiya?
Dunno, those were my faves when I was a kid (but I have not checked them since at least 10 years ago, lol), but, seeing how the Percy Jackson fans try to portrait themselves as all knowing about Greek culture, while actually not engaging in the classics and refusing to know about Ancient Greek history and culture. The Saint Seiya guys seem more normal, but I'm not sure if Greek people just saw the anime as a gross cultural appropiation like Hercules from Disney or they actually did not mind it.
An interesting ask to receive, thanks! And hm... I don't really know? I haven't read Percy Jackson or Saint Seiya so I can't comment. It all depends on the media in question - it's nice to see so many people like it, but our ancient legacy is kind of all Greece has right now. The economic depression, the ecological impact on the islands that's been happening, the fact that it's mainly considered a tourist destination for wealthier Europeans and the bitter state of the modern Greek youth - and yet we have this legacy we feel so connected to despite all the years between, lmao.
My family is from Sparta - a small rural village just outside it, actually - and so when the movie 300 came out the hype was unreal. Like King Leonidas is a cultural hero, there's still a monument to him in Sparta - they were making a movie about our guy! I saw it with twenty Greeks, all Spartans... and they hated it. They were yelling at the screen, they were so upset, and none of them knew what a Frank Miller comic book was. I recently tried to rewatch it and had to turn it off at the scene with the ephors and the oracle. Don't get me started on Troy, lol.
Otoh, I recently enjoyed Hades (the game) though I avoided it for a while. It's bright and colorful, the gods are strange and erratic, and it's tons of fun. Demeter grief-stricken at the loss of her daughter, Persephone avoiding Hades and Hades being angry and bitter - that was great. (I could go into a whole tangent about how people are actually erasing the voices and pain of ancient women when they woke-ify Hades and Persephone, but.)
The essential thing is this: the ancient Greeks were capable of criticizing their own culture. We invented philosophy: the art of sitting around talking about what's wrong with society and how we might fix it. They wrote plays - plays that won awards, that were preserved unto this day! - that served as a feminist critique of their classic heroic myths. Going back to the 300 film, while it's true oracles were often sexually abused, they noticed that was a problem and made changes to prevent that. There's this attitude people take to ancient cultures a lot where they think people were just... stupid, and wholly swallowed everything, and then they're gonna write their critique of their problematic beliefs without considering the humanity and knowledge of people who lived thousands of years ago.
You don't need to completely change the themes and meaning and significance of our stories, but what you can do is humanize them. Rather than hole them up in some white-walled Ivory Tower of Academia bring them out as they were - intended to be funny, intended to make you think - while preserving the historical context. I have dreams of making an Odyssey film (that some EU arts fund needs to give me a billion dollars to make. also, i am a legendary respected filmmaker in this fantasy) that would bring economic prosperity to the Greek islands and also make it /funny/, showing that Odysseus was a trickster figure who fit ancient heroic definitions of being a wild celebrity figure rather than a Hollywood Hero. Making it clear that his wife was just as smart as him and they were a love-match and making Athena buff as hell and swapping into a man's body, even making Odysseus black - none of that would be modernizing the story to suit our woke tastes. It would piss the hell off a lot of supposed "Classics" fans.
Ultimately, though, having fun with the mythos isn't actually harmful. What is harmful, what genuinely upsets me on a fundamental level, is how Le Classics have been incorporated into this great ideal of Western Civilization and then been appropriated by white supremacists. Here's a great blog doing the good work going into it in detail, but twisting ancient culture to fit your own modern ideals is just.... not good for anyone, lol.
EDIT: ...In my last post I was like "why is tumblr recommending me eurofash propaganda" and I just realized. Liking ancient greek culture and the classics is probably why 0__0

I'm doing a drawing of Princess Elise and Athena (Saori Kido) shaking hands and the small similarities between them
1- His relatives/or father figures are problematic (Saori's grandfather spoils her when she was young and didn't care about his children (in the manga all the knights are half brothers of the same father) besides he treats his granddaughter as if she were Athena, that is, he took this goddess talk too serious. The Duke of Soleanna Elise's father he was the worst father, why? He was selfish in wanting to use the power of Solaris to right the wrong and bring his wife back which resulted in complete shit, those involved died and even involved his daughter almost killing her, not that it was when he had an idea to seal a demon of fire inside her body making her suffer for never crying to release the fury of Iblis inside her and that resulted in her staying no friends 10 years being cared for only by the castle's servants without making contact with ordinary young people like her).
2- are hated by the fanbase for being selfish, and without feelings and being useless
In addition to the fact that the fandom doesn't like characters who "don't do anything useful", this irritates me since the work shows genuine acts they do to be effortful and even their strategies like Saori did in the Hades arc where she made a fake treat of her death to go in the winter looking for hades and in addition she was captured in her plan to face the real body of Hades in the smooth fields, in the first arc when it was revealed that Saori was the incarnation of Athena she started to open her goddess pose and it started to matter to others so much that she hides her emotion when a knight is injured or killed, however much here (the Saint seiya fandom BR fandom) treats her as uncharismatic and a stone personality, Saori demonstrates that she doesn't care about people's feelings. offenses that the gods and enemies give her seems to know how to deal with it well and even she decided to prove to Seiya and others that she is no longer her grandfather's dumb one throwing precious stones and jewels away in the sea, different from the old incarnation Sasha who is idolized by the fandom for being an athena with a mature and "charismatic" personality, what do I need to disagree with since Sasha didn't go to fight Atermis in ND, it wasn't Sasha who made a treator pretended to be captured to face Hades and when one of his knights who freed her in the vessel for her to awaken her armor and thus fight Hades at last.
Now with Elise it was not the same, but her actions in Sonic 06 to be seeing that she tried very hard when she gave the blue emerald to sonic realizing that Eggman wanted her pose for one of his plans, Elise also did not think of herself as some say, at the train station she talks to sonic to save the workers and innocent people from a possible tragedy on that mission in '06, Elise says that being cares for everyone and that you do what you can for your beloved subjects, it was Elise who gave the idea of everyone going after the chaos emeralds to revive Sonic however much came a kiss in my opinion the kiss was a spiritual symbol since Elise had some spiritual powers and she used them to revive Sonic since affection and loving kisses heal people as some fairy tales say, it was Elise who ran away from Eggman in hiding to not follow his plans and Amy helped her run by getting out of there and also threw herself on top of the ship because she prefers to die than to be a prisoner him and she sacrificed herself to save everyone from Eggman's wrath and she went to him on her own
That's it for today
