Topic: Steven Universe

Lapis Lazuli is not a precious cinnamon roll. She is a villain. More so, she is chaotic. Not meaning that she brings chaos, but she does not play by the rules. 

Lapis works on her own terms. She is not weak at all. When we see a subdued Lapis, it is because she wants to be seen as such. 

When Lapis was Broken, she had no restraint on her powers and fucked shit up something fierce. She ALMOST DROWNED STEVEN. Steven healed her, and she is grateful to this. If she had any alliance to anyone, it would be Steven. Not the Gems. Not Earth. Just Steven. And that would probably run out once her debt was repaid.

She is strong enough to hold Jasper at bay. That is not easy. She controls water. Know what else is made of a lot of water? Humans. We had a whole episode of Avatar about this with bloodbending. If humans somehow pissed her off, not only she cut off humans from this vital resource they need to survive, she could also use the water in the body to kill from within.

Lapis is also a strategist. She planned that betrayal of Jasper. She planned to manipulate the Gem judicial system in favor of herself and Steven when on the HandShip by playing meek.

And, of course, in Chille Tid. She said she was Malachite, not Lapis. She basically said straight-out that she was the enemy. How  

There is too much going on with Lapis to call her an ally. She is, at best, a rogue agent. And until this business with Malachite is over, it makes most sense to call her a villain. Because as Malachite or once Jasper takes over and they un-fuse, she will be of absolutely no help to Earth or Steven.
