The song in our hearts
Lestat De Lioncourt x Female Reader
A musician with a heart that sings and an admirer who wishes to see his songbird thrive. Two beings in different worlds get caught up in each other when someone threatens to steal his songbird's spotlight. Loving Lestat isn't simple, and your life will never be the same again. What is eternity without chaos?
{Masterlist}
{Previous Chapter} - {Next Chapter}
Chapter Seven - Eleanor
You aren't seen by Amelie all week. The first glimpse she gets of you is at the theater that following Friday. You hadn't told her you had spent almost every night in Lestat's home. That would definitely give her ideas, and you didn't need that right now.
She follows you into your dressing room. You take a seat at your table and look at your reflection. You're looking a little paler than before.
“Are you alright?” Amelie asks softly. She could tell she was worried about you. “I went to your house a couple times, you weren't there.”
You turn and look at her. “I've been… busy.”
Amelie comes closer and takes your hand in hers. “Busy?”
“I've just got a lot going on.”
She presses her hand to your forehead. “You look a little off, but you don't seem to have a temperature. Do you need anything? Water? Food? To rest a little?”
You shake your head. “No. I'm okay.”
“If you're sure…” Amelie doesn't look convinced. She steps away and takes her leave.
You slump agaiant your dressing table and sigh, fingers digging into your hair. All week you have been sneaking off to Lestat's to simply be with him. To let him taste you. To let him hold you.
God, the way his arms felt around you was a dream. You wanted nothing more than that in life. Well, there was perhaps more you could want to do with him. He certainly knew as much.
‘Are you alright, Chéri?’
His voice is in your head. He seems to know every thought and feeling you have. You find you don't mind quite as much.
‘You're thinking a lot. Don't worry, mon amour.’
My love. That was the first time he had called you that.
A knock at your door makes you jump and turn around to see who it was. “Come in.”
The door opens and Jack enters. You offer him a smile and he smiles in return. “Amelie looked worried. Are you okay?” He asks.
“I assure you, I am well.”
‘More than well.’
You ignore Lestat in your mind.
“No one has seen or heard anything from you all week.”
‘I have certainly heard you.’
“No. I'm sorry. I've been busy. I'm still here though.” You smile again.
“Good. You're my best performer. You and that piano are my stars.”
‘The brightest star I have ever seen.’
You smile, but who you're smiling from is the question. You know who.
“I'll let you get ready.” Jack leaves you alone to prepare.
You look at yourself in the mirror and stare hard at your reflection. You smile at yourself.
The magician on stage takes a bow, and people applaud. Lestat watches with disinterest. He doesn't care for anyone else in this show. He wants to see his shining star. His darling. His music maker.
The stage clears and the lights turn to the manager, Jack. He babbles for a little while and then addresses the crowd with open arms. Lestat leans forward in his seat, a proud grin on his lips.
Your name is announced.
The curtain open to reveal your piano in place and as Jack exists the stage, you come on. Lestat can't teat his eyes away from you. You're wearing a gorgeous gown and around your neck is that ruby red necklace he gave you months ago.
Your eyes find his own and he winks at you from his box. You're gorgeous.
You take a bow and sit down at your piano. A few moments of silence fill the room before you fill the air with your beautiful music. You're playing his song again. Lestat smiles. If this was a declaration, he was listening.
Everyone in the room was hanging on to every note. You had them completely wrapped up in your magic. You were the siren and they were the sailors.
You played for the next half hour. You enchanted every soul in the room.
Lestat had fallen even more for you.
When your time was done you took a bow and left the stage. Lestat, as usual, leaves his box. He's waiting for you at your dressing room before anyone else. You smile as he reaches out and caresses your cheek gently with his fingers. His touch is ghostly, so light you could barely feel it.
As Lestat leans in, almost as if to kiss you, you're both interrupted by a voice. You both turn to see a young woman, mid twenties at least, looking at you.
“Excuse me, I don't suppose you know where Noah is? I didn't see him in the show tonight and I wanted to speak to him.”
You feel yourself go stiff. Lestat grabs your arm gently and smiles at the woman. “Who is asking?”
“My name is Eleanor. I'm Noah's sister. I wrote to him to tell him I was coming to see him perform, but I didn't get a response, at least not one that arrived in time.” She shuffles on the spot slightly. “I was disappointed to see he was not on stage tonight. Don't suppose you know where he's staying?”
You turn your eyes to Lestat for help. What were you supposed to say? ‘Oh gosh, we're so sorry, you see, your brother was being an ass and Lestat decided to feed on him until he was dead.’
Yeah, that would go down well.
“Did you not hear? He left,” Lestat tells her.
The woman visibly deflates. “He did? No, I hadn't heard.”
Lestat keeps his hand on your arm to keep you calm. “Perhaps his letter had yet to reach you.”
“Possibly,” she sighs.
Lestat feels you grabbing at the sleeve and puts on a polite expression for Eleanor. “If you don't mind, we are just leaving.”
She looks between you both and steps back, getting the message. “Of course. Forgive me. I better contact home and see if Noah got through. Thank you kindly, both of you.”
Lestat takes your hand and guides you past the young woman. You're holding onto him tight. He can feel your panic just from the touch of your hand.
Once you're out of the theater you drag him into the alley nearby.
“Shit, Shit, Shit!” You hiss out. “What are we gonna do?”
“Nothing,” he replies nonchalantly.
“Nothing?” You stare at him in disbelief. “You killed her brother and she's looking for him!”
Lestat shrugs. “So? She'll never find him. I disposed of the body.”
“Oh my God!”
“He can't help you.”
You glare at the vampire. “This isn't funny! I'm the last person Noah went to see. No one knows you were involved!”
“Calm, Chéri. All will be well. No harm shall come to you.” He holds your face in his cold hands.
“Lestat…”
“Shh. If you keep on worrying you'll get wrinkles.” He taps your nose with his finger. “Do you want that?”
“Stop messing around.” You wave his hands away from your face. “Someone has to take things seriously around here.”
“Why? Nothing to worry about. You'll see.”
You almost hate how unbuttered he is by this, but at the same time, how many times has he done this before? Lestat was a clever man. He surely chose his victims carefully. If people kept on disappearing from the same place, flags would be raised.
“I trust you,” you say softly.
Lestat grins. “That's what I like to hear. Now, back to mine for a nightcap?”
You roll your eyes and go with him.
When you get back to his house, Lestat can tell you're still freaking out over Eleanor's presence in town. You're all figgity in your seat. Lestat sighs and holds out the glass of wine in front of your face. When you don't take it from him he places it on the table beside you.
“I can make you forget,” he offers.
“Forget?”
“About Eleanor and her questions.”
“That might make things worse,” you sigh. You didn't want to forget that the family of a dead man was out there searching for him.
“Just for tonight.” Lestat leans over, his lips brushing along your ear. You feel a shiver run down your spine.
He closes the distance between you both and wraps his arms around you so smoothly. You fall into his embrace with ease. Whatever line there was between you before had been crossed, and you knew there was no going back. Lestat kisses along your jaw, your breathing came out in small little pants. He had you right where he wanted you.
“Lestat,” he name falls from your lips with ease.
“Shh.” He whispers in your ear. “Tonight you are mine and I am yours.”
His lips press against your own with desire. Long awaited desire. From this single kiss you knew he had been waiting a long time for this. Lestat had had his eyes on you for a while now. It was only a matter of time before he got what he wanted. Lestat could be patient when he wanted to be.
He pulls you into his lap and brings your bodies closer together. It's like a magnetic force bringing you together. You follow after his lips, your hands grab onto him wherever they can. Lestat lets you chase after every part of him that you want.
Your fingers dig into his hair as he pulls you to sit up in his lap. He lifts you up enough so he can lay you down and climb on top of you. His lips leave yours to trail back down your jaw and then your neck. Your back arches as he goes lower, down to your collarbone. His hands stay firm on your hips.
You're about to forget your own damn name, that's for sure.
His large hands go wandering under your clothes. You've never found yourself in this position before. Lestat had you feeling all kinds of ways.
You gasp as he sucks on the spot he bit you from last time you were here. The skin there was sensitive and had you shaking under him.
“Ma petite beauté.”
He speaks in a low voice. He's using every ounce of his charms to keep you with him. It's working.
His fingers pluck at your clothes. You don't even move to stop him. He smirks against your skin. He's about to undo the buttons but there's firm knocking at the door.
Lestat lifts his head. You look up at him. “Don't answer it.”
“Chéri, I do not get guests.” He looks at you.
You hear the knock again and Lestat rises from the couch. He fixes his hair and stalks slowly toward the door. You sit up and fix your clothes, missing the touch of his lips on your skin.
Lestat opens the doors. You watch from your spot on the sofa. He doesn't say anything as she steps back and lets the person inside.
Amelie.
You stand up quickly and hurry over to her. “What are you doing here?”
“I knew you would be here.” She looks you up and down. “I didn't know where else to go.”
You place your hands on her shoulders and look at her. Lestat watches from the door. He remains quiet as you talk to her.
“It's about Noah… the police came to the theater. His sister called them after finding his apartment. He's gone missing.”
You stare at her. Lestat can see the panic in your eyes. Eleanor was causing him problems. He is normally a little more clever when it comes to his victims.
“What… what's happening?” You ask.
“They're saying kidnap, but… they're also gonna look for a body… It was awful. They were all over the theater lookin’ for clues.”
You glance at Lestat who holds your gaze with a sharp look. You turn back to Amelie. “Let me walk ya home.”
Amelie nods and follows you out. Lestat doesn't even get to kiss you goodbye.

Hetalia headcanons - France
Because six people liked my last post! Six! I'm so popular!
Okay, Hetalia isn't perfect. (It's far from perfect.) The depictions of Poland, South Korea, and Seychelles are in some cases blatantly racist, so we won't talk about them. Those characters deserve better.
But France.
Every fic I've ever read of him, he's so 2-dimensional. Yes, haha, pedophile, and romance, and the French language, and dramatic. Haha.
Where are...any of the French stereotypes about art?!
I understand that maybe some stereotypes about France are overdone, and boring, so the writer didn't include them. Fine. Mimes, berets, and the sailor outfit, dark hair and moustache? Yes, too American and English. Okay.
France should like...art, though. I don't care what kind. You can do all, you can do none. Costume parties. Fashion. Ballet. Singing. Musical instruments. (Perhaps those are Parisian.) Gardening. Painting. Philosophy. (Why isn't France a moody, wistful, philosopher, pining about the old days like England?!) Sculpture. Jazz. (He does take pictures sometimes.) I can go on. We see young Italy painting...once. How many genres of painting originated in France? Hello? Comic books? Comedy? We don't even see him shopping! Mon Dieu! Why isn't he a bohemian? Night clubs and partying and dancing (the can-can, the quadrille).
Not to mention the strikes! He's a little lazy, but I'd be making way more jokes about that.
Granted, Spain is also one dimensional. With Spain, at least, you get glimpses of his honorable, conquistador side. With France you get...cooking and wine and passion. Sometimes. I recently developed a head canon where Spain is a lot more Don Quixote, like, meaning he's a hot-headed idiot.
Also, I understand that the cuisines are supposed to be only ethnic to that specific country but...Spain eats coffee, chocolate and churros. America eats way more than hamburgers. Tex-Mex? American Italian? American Chinese? American Japanese? There's more to Italian cuisine than pasta! (A couple of fics depict Romano drinking coffee. Thank you.) Has anyone ever heard of polenta?
Speaking of which: Romano. Romano should have sports cars. Romano should be a terrible driver, but have sports cars.
That's all for today. I have other characters too, but God the portrayal of France leaves me so disappointed.

One of the all time greatest
Petula Sally Olwen Clark, CBE (born 15 November 1932) is a British singer, actress, and songwriter. She has had one of the longest careers of a British singer, spanning more than seven decades.
Clark's professional career began during the Second World War as a child entertainer on BBC Radio. In 1954 she charted with "The Little Shoemaker", the first of her big UK hits, and within two years she began recording in French. Her international successes have included "Prends mon coeur", "Sailor" (a UK number one), "Romeo", and "Chariot". Hits in German, Italian and Spanish followed. In late 1964 Clark's success extended to the United States with a four-year run of career-defining, often upbeat singles, many written or co-written by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent. These songs include her signature song "Downtown", "I Know a Place", "My Love", "A Sign of the Times", "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love", "Who Am I", "Colour My World", "This Is My Song" (by Charles Chaplin), "Don't Sleep in the Subway", "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener", and "Kiss Me Goodbye". In the US, Clark was sometimes called "the First Lady of the British Invasion".
Clark has sold more than 68 million records. She has also enjoyed success in the musical film Finian's Rainbow and in the stage musicals The Sound of Music, Blood Brothers, Sunset Boulevard and Mary Poppins.

Ahhh, thank you so much for tagging me in such a fun quiz! I am LOVING reading everyone's answers! All of you make me smile so much 😍 @stocious @shinygalaxyperson @energievie 😍
what are some movie / tv quotes that you quote often?
"Keep it secret, keep it safe!" - LOTR (any time I hand anybody anything) "What, like it's hard?" - Legally Blonde A million quotes from Arrested Development, Seinfeld, and Simpsons, because I'm annoying.
what is your favorite flower?
Iris, tulip, daffodil, bleeding hearts.
if you were in avatar: the last airbender what element would you want to bend? earth, fire, water or air?
Water!
what was your first job?
An ice cream shop where I had to sing full length songs about ice cream and also sing every time I got tipped.
what is your favorite breakfast?
Difficult! I'm a breakfast PERSON as a LIFE RULE. I eat breakfast food often more than once a day. Maybe a giant waffle with all three of the fruits. Although my local place does a waffle with bacon and chocolate that I love. But when I say that, I miss meat. You see my problem. Scottish square sausage is the best sausage.
what’s a meal from childhood that you love?
Going fishing with my dad, he'd clean the fish outdoors (or have me scale & gut them), and then he'd fry them til super crisp over the fire, cooking in a pan with masses of butter and salt.
what’s your favorite joke to tell?
My kid is the joke-teller, I'm funny on the fly/in banter.
what’s your favorite animal to see at the zoo?
The reptile & amphibian house!
what’s your go to quick meal to cook / make at home?
Packet ramen that I load up with egg, meat, veggies etc. Chocolate chip pancakes. Omelets with whatever filling is in the fridge.
what’s your go to meal to cook someone to impress them?
Shrimp red curry from scratch, lamb & okra curry (recipe from my Pakistani ex-father-in-law), lasagna.
what’s something you want to do better?
I don't know. I try to be kind to myself and not give myself expectations that may fail, and rather try and work toward a general goal. Like, I would like to continue to learn and grow in handling my PTSD, triggers, and symptoms in a healthy way.
if you’re working do you like your job?
Yup! I love it! I haven't been able to work in 6 months, because of my spine injury, but I'll be back once I heal from surgery. I work at my daughter's grammar school as a recess and lunch monitor, so I get to see her every day, as well as her friends. We have a good time!
do you collect anything? what?
I of course collect all my concert tickets. I collect horror movies, like I have hundreds of horror DVDs, a lot of them obscure (and many of them not). I've been collecting different editions of Anne Rice books since I was 11yrs old.
if you were trapped in a kids tv show, what show would you be okay with being trapped in?
Sailor Moon!
an adults tv show?
God, all the shows I watch & love are all so fucking fraught with Horrors LOL Can I be on Supernatural as long as y'all promise I don't end up like all the other women on the show?
what kind of job did you want as a child?
I wanted to be a garbage lady!!! I wanted to actively help save the environment lol. So, I was always really happy when the garbage people came along to take away the trash and recycling. Later, I wanted to go into zoology. (Didn't do any of those things, I got a scholarship in Theater & Arts lol)
do you follow any sports? what team do you root for?
GLASGOW CELTICS MON THE CELTICS
if you could be any animal what would you be and why?
I've always wanted to be a sea turtle! Drifting and dreaming through the pretty seas and having a million lovely beautiful babies.
if you could be any mythological creature what would you be and why?
Probably like a pan. Y'know, with the goat legs, playing music all day and getting drunk, partying with the other forest fae.
what’s the most obscure thing you’ve had to google for a fanfic you were writing/reading?
I was definitely googling how nuclear power reactors function for Star Trek fic and learned more than I imagined I would lol.
what milkovich do you identify with most?
Ooof, of course Mickey. Growing up terrified of a severely abusive father who would snap at the smallest thing, having an eastern european immigrant family, growing up with anger issues but being excessively soft on the inside, and hey, my parents are chicago born-bred folks (first generation american).
which one are you actually like the most?
ughhhhh. . .Why I gotta decide?! Mickey lol.
what gallagher do you identify with most?
Fiona. She had to deal with Frank the most. My dad is a lot a lot a lot like Frank (narcisstic alcoholic genius level asshole who is happy to abandon their kid & make them feel bad about it instead of taking responsibility), to the point where I will sometimes get triggered by his presence in an episode and have to stop watching for months at a time when I was first watching the show. She's always trying her best to be everything for everyone, usually to the detriment of her own personal identity and happiness. She's absolutely easily the most like me.
which one are you actually like the most?
No, still Fiona lol

In 1954 she charted with "The Little Shoemaker", the first of her big UK hits, and within two years she began recording in French. Her international successes have included "Prends mon coeur", "Sailor" (a UK number one), "Romeo", and "Chariot". Hits in German, Italian and Spanish followed. In late 1964 Clark's success extended to the United States with a four-year run of career-defining, often upbeat singles, many written or co-written by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent. These songs include her signature song "Downtown" and "I Know a Place", "My Love", "A Sign of the Times", "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love", "Who Am I", "Colour My World", "This Is My Song" (by Charles Chaplin), "Don't Sleep in the Subway", "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener", and "Kiss Me Goodbye". In the United States Clark was sometimes called "the First Lady of the British Invasion". Clark has sold more than 68 million records. She has also enjoyed success in the musical film Finian's Rainbow and in the stage musicals The Sound of Music, Blood Brothers and Sunset Boulevard.🎂

If you ain’t runnin’ game…
Dis Mon Nom | Sep. 11, 2017 | Bad Nylon
A lot of people who know me professionally know that I’m someone who draws a lot of inspiration from 90’s media, especially animation and music. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, being a superfan of PPG (… don’t talk to me about the reboot) and Sailor Moon (don’t talk to me about that one either cause tbh I couldn’t keep up). I thought I’d grow up to be a cartoonist, but always found myself daydreaming about being in a girl-group. Funny enough, this had little to nothing to do with the fact that I was also musically inclined, and began producing beats to my original lyrics at the age of 11. Growing up in the 90’s, it was a Spice World. The Spice Girls were on every conceivable piece of merch and media and I was here for it. And while I hailed Missy Elliott as my hip hop queen, something about the unison of girls into a team spoke to me in more ways than one. Anyone who knows me personally knows that as of lately, I haven’t been myself. I lost myself in people and in projects that took more out of me than they were willing to give back, and as a result, I was losing a part of my identity. I hadn’t found the drive to draw a proper piece in months, I was inundated in my work with my band, to the point that I nearly forgot why I was in one in the first place. I always tell people that I do what I do to inspire the next generation (which is 1000% true, love the behbies), but I was losing sight of what was inspiring me, and quickly relapsing into a low-maintenance depression. That is until August 28th, 2017. Strange Froots opened for Princess Nokia at Club Soda. It was an experience I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I got to perform with my friends, my younger sister got to see me in action, and in the crowd was a sea of melanated fans my own age. For the first time, I really felt like our presence made a difference- in this generation. And then. AND THEN. I SAW BAD NYLON LIVE.
Bad Nylon is a wonderful fellow gurl squad of primarily franco “rappas”, as they so aptly call themselves. Both groups performed last Friday at the OUMF Festival. They came to see us perform near the end of our set and were some of the most energetic folk in the audience. It was a truly beautiful spontaneous moment. They were performing on the main stage later that night, and I hadn’t seen them live yet, so I was definitely not missing it. As soon as they hit the stage (after a mini-skit intro by a little girl, much à-la-Missy), they set it on fire with color-coordinated jumpsuits and the attitudes of well-seasoned masters of the game. Their energy, as well as their moves, were in sync; they were a unit, but still able to let their individuality shine through in their mannerisms. But what really got me… they hit us with a throwback medley, covering artists from Ja Rule to Ciara, from TLC to Destiny’s Child. And they did in such a fun-loving way, but still with no wahala. I felt something I hadn’t in a very long time. I got home that night, playing it back in my head, playing back our conversations in the green room after the fact. They fully acknowledged the Powerpuff Girls comparisons, even going so far as debating who would be which. They had their families and young fans waiting for them at the bottom of the stage, as if just seeing a middle school recital. I saw in them what I saw in my junior high daydreams. 3 girls totally owning the stage like their faces are already on lunchboxes somewhere, exuding an energy of near-calculated success, but maintaining the carefree attitudes of 4 best friends who just got let out of detention for the weekend. Expect great things from this group. I feel like a kid again, and I wanna be them when I grow up.

Hi!!! I read your Omen x Reader fic about Omen trying to be closer with the reader. That was the most adorable thing ever!! Is there a chance you could do something like that with Chamber please? :)
I see we like our French friend. Tres Bien, you are not the first (also I love your pfp this is a Snips stan acct). Coming right up!
Chamber x Reader: Trying to get to know them and being dramatically awkward about it
· It’s no secret that Chamber is a smooth fucken sailor. He can talk his way out of the most terrifying situations and crack even the hardest facades
· Hell, he managed to get his way into the Valorant Protocol, one of the world’s most secure organisations
· But somehow, when it comes to you?? That charm he’s become so very reliant on is nowhere to be found. Like, he reaches for something, anything.
· It’s gone
· When you walk into the room, he’s reduced to knee-jerk reactions—the three same pet names, talking loudly and dramatically to the nearest person like some dumb highschooler
· He silently curses himself as he does it but this man is surprisingly bad at dealing with what he quickly realises are feelings
· The great Chamber? Reduced to such a simpering fool?
· He’s gotta do something. Anything
· To start with, expect to be absolutely peppered with attention. To start with, I definitely wouldn’t blame you for being suspicious that Chamber wants something from you
· Every day, another ‘Ah! Mon petite chou, just the person I wanted to see! Could you humour me and test out my new weapon? I believe it may be to your liking’
‘Uhhhh, yes, but can I finish my cereal first? Please?’
‘But of course mon canard, you are the one with the crackshot reputation here, no? I can wait’
· Every time he opens his mouth he’s inwardly cursing, but he’s at the point of no return. He’s got to catch your eye. Somehow.
· Finally you accede to one of these… weapon test runs for want of a better word? Chamber is positively delighted. It’s like half an hour in of him showing the cool things he’s made and how much money he’s spent on them before he finally gets to the thing he actually brought you here to see
· This is bemusing to say the least, but you humour him as he takes the (admittedly very elegant) ghost out of the glass case with gloved hands. He runs you through the mechanism, bragging at the patented ball-bearing system that reduces trigger latency and recoil.
· ‘Oh, so like a fidget spinner?’
· Man has never been more gutted in his life, but he shakes it off.
· ‘Aight, hand it over then Chamber.’
· Your hand brushes his as you take the weapon, and he lingers for a second, seemingly paralysed by the gesture.
· ‘You… okay there bud?’
‘Ah, yes, mon Cherie. Just… proud of my work.’
· While that’s not the whole truth, there’s more truth in that sentence than he’d usually be comfortable sharing. Huh.
· As you take the gun, feel its balance and give it a spin, you can feel him watching you intently. You toss it up, catch, and take aim at the synthetic target on the far wall.
· As much as you kinda hate to admit it, the gun handles well. Really well. It reminds you more of a finely crafted musical instrument, sculpted to purpose.
· With a remarkably quiet release, the two of you appraise the singed hole in the inner ring of the target
· ‘Not bad at all Chamber.’
· Goddammit. He hates just how hard it is to hide the happy flush that spreads across his face. It’s all he can do to keep from grinning like an idiot
· ‘And I wasn’t even the one shooting the gun,’ he observes dryly
· You shoot him a wry smile at this, and it’s all Chamber can do to stop from pumping the air
· He manages to draw you again with the promise of good weaponry, and try as you might you find it hard to find flaws in the weapons you test
· Granted, when you do notice something off in the handling, he’s pretty receptive and starts tinkering away
· Soon, the two of you have made a habit of hitting the workshop together, building up… for want of a better word, it’s a strong professional relationship based on trust
· This is big for Chamber, trust doesn’t come naturally to him
· Finally though, he wakes up one morning and realises he can handle himself around you
· Tres bien
· From here, Chamber becomes more and more forward about wanting to spend time with you. After tinkering, he starts to suggest innocuous little cafes and quiet lunch spots
· ‘Oh but mon Cherie, it is my treat! You are the one helping me with these gadgets’
· Finally able to relax a little bit more, you began to see a side of Chamber that’s more comfortable and less reflexively performative. He seems to genuinely want your advice on situations, and is keen to share what he learns. He’s still very outgoing, but there’s an earnestness that he doesn’t seem to show otherwise
· That’s all well and good but as soon as any of the other agents walk by it’s back to drama king Chamber. It’s quite jarring the first time it happens. One minute he’s kicking back and humming along to the bossanova in the background, the next he’s loudly exclaiming about how ‘you simply must change up your casual outfits, Yoru! You look like an angry teenager in that jacket’
· It happens a couple more times before it hits you that he seems to be genuine specifically around you
· Huh
· Eventually you call him on it
· ‘Vincent.’
· His ears prick at the mention of his real name. He’s made no secret of it in the protocol but it’s still out of the blue
· ‘Yes, ma puce’
‘This is like… the third time this week you’ve gotten me flowers.’
‘Ah but of course mon-‘
You cut him off
‘You trust me to be real right? It feels like you’re courting me here Vincent.’
· You can’t help but feel your cheeks heat up as you say this. God, what if you’re misreading this and-
· The spiralling stops when you realise that Chamber has turned even redder than you feel
· He sputters a little, genuinely caught offguard
· The great, smooth-talking Chamber. Rendered speechless
· You can’t help but chuckle
· ‘Please mon chouchou, you have put me at quite a disadvantage’
· Okay, this is fun
· You draw closer, relishing the way he seems to struggle with hiding his face but also enjoying the closeness?
· Seeing his lip quiver a little, you decide to take pity on the poor man and say, just quietly enough for just him to hear
· ‘Well, I’m certainly not opposed to this partnership, my dear’
· His eyes flick up to yours, see their sincerity, and glimmer with something you can’t quite place
· ‘It seems, mon bonheur, we have a deal.’
· Closeness definitely achieved.

Hi!!! Could I ask prompt number 20 with erik destler? Mostly because I love passionate and vulgar erik 💖 (we all know the man swears like a sailor) thank you!
Pairing: Erik Destler x GN!reader
A/N: Oh, I bet he totally does! And I can so see him doing it in French, like underneath his breath, and not even realizing it! And then if his S/O swore, he’d be mildly horrified that he was rubbing off on them. 😂😂 Here goes nothing anon! (Alright, I found French cuss words off the internet so if they’re wrong, I apologize! I don’t know French - should’ve taken that in HS instead of Spanish so I could write some linguistically correct fics, who would have known- ) I hope you enjoy it darling!
20. “Fuck being friends!”
Warnings: language
You were going to do it, no more putting it off or questioning your decision. You were going to tell Erik just how you felt about him. You suck in a deep breath, steeling your nerves, before marching straight towards the bench Erik was sitting on at the organ.
“Erik?” You say just loud enough to catch his attention.
He turns towards you, setting down the utensil he’d been using to write his musical notations on his newest composition. “Ah, mon ange (my angel).” His voice is low and rough as if those have been the first words he’d spoken all day.
You give him a shy smile. “Erik, I have something to tell you, if you have a minute to spare.” You say tentatively.
“Yes, what is it mon ange?” He asks, his eyes already straying back to his music.
“S'il vous plaît écoutez (please listen). I need your full attention.” Your voice is firmer now, less tentative than it had been moment before.
“Ah, yes mon ange. If you’d simply give me but a moment. This melody is not quite right.” His fingers glide over the keys as he plays the melody in question, his brow furrowed in concentration. “C'est de la merde (this is crap)!” Erik mutters under his breath before crumpling the paper and tossing it away from him.
“Depuis le début (From the beginning)…” He sighs, pulling out a fresh piece of paper.
“Erik!” You call out somewhat firmly, in an attempt to pull his attention from his music.
He turns back to you. “Mes excuses (my apologies). You may continue.”
“I wanted to talk about our relationship.” You take a step towards him before sitting next to him on the bench.
“Yes, we are friends mon ange. What is there to talk about?” You can tell his mind is still in the music, as he hands start to flutter over the keys, fingers yearning to play the melody his mind continues to create.
“Yes, we are. But that is what I want to talk to you about.” Your finger delicately traces the edge of an ivory white key as you try to keep from looking at him.
“Well, then what is there to talk about mon ange?” He questions, apparently believing the conversation is over with as he returns to his composition sheet.
“Ah Erik, écoute. Ce que j'essaie de dire, c'est d'être amis. (Ah Erik, listen. What I'm trying to say is fuck being friends).” You pause, oddly grateful that you finally had his attention. “Je veux être plus que ton ami Erik. Je veux être ton partenaire, ton amant, ton autre moitié. (I want to be more than your friend Erik. I want to be your partner, your lover, your other half).”
His eyes widen and his fingers go slack around the writing utensil. “Pourquoi mon ange, tu es tout cela et plus pour moi (Why, my angel, you are all that and more to me).”

Mon amie! Congratulations ×100 🎉🎊 🎆 Obligatory celebratory beverages and foodstuffs all around! 🍻🥂🍾🎂🥧
May I request a match up with a Pedro boy? You kinda know me but hey here go lol:
She/her, 32 yrs, Pisces, 5'0 (I'm not short, I'm fun sized!), curvy/heavier side, tattooed, type 1 diabetic, blind as a mole without my glasses, animal lover (cat mum and horseback rider but love all animals--I would pet a crocodile if I knew it wouldn't bite me LOL), sarcastic, jaded, got a sharp tongue and bit of a smart ass, swear like a sailor (particularly British slang and swear words), singer, avid writer and poet, bookworm, enjoy hiking/camping/fishing, prefer tea to coffee and prefer meat to veggies. Hail from Rocky Mtn area (UT). Outdoorsy & indoorsy and have strong stomach. Love all music genres. Shite with languages. Love exploring/driving my Ford SUV (I love Ford trucks/SUVs but have the nickname 'Chevy'). I can learn to drive/adapt to almost any vehicle so I guess that's a skill? Night owl, bit of a loner, independent, good shot with a rifle, jeans/T-shirt with a ball cap type gal.
My friend, I think I have just the man for you. I thought I was going to go one way, but I changed course and I think it's perfect.
Our sweet, sweet Frankie. The first thing that draws Frankie to you is your humor, a sarcasm that he finds refreshing and witty. He likes that you swear and give it back to him just as good as he gives. He likes to banter, and not everyone can make him laugh the way you do. He particularly likes your British slang, and laughs when you call him a right foul git.
Frankie finds peace in the outdoors, and adores that he can take you camping and shooting with him, knowing that you can enjoy the silence together and just have a good time. Frankie is a black coffee kind of guy, but you win him over with some strong black tea in the mornings by the campfire while you listen to the stream nearby.
Frankie is an animal lover too, but has never ridden a horse so he finally asks you to take him and you show him how to connect with a horse, which he finds incredibly moving. When you both get a place together, he makes sure that his dog loves your cats and is fine with the cats ruling the house. He loves listening to you write poetry and eventually will share some of his own that you've inspired him to write. He likes watching you hum to yourself while you pick out which book to read next, and secretly stalks your Goodreads so he knows what you want to read next and he can buy it and slip it onto your shelf. He smiles whenever he hears your exclamation from the next room and knows that you've found the latest addition to the collection.
I hope this resonated with you, dear! I love Frankie for you.
Requests still open for my 500 followers celebration!
