ethan and julia!!! this is pretty much their canon relationship— married, divorced, but still deeply in love. ethan always wears his wedding ring when he’s not on a mission, i think julia would wear it pretty often too!

4, 5, 6 for choose violence, any fandom, and 23 for spn!
4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?
oh man it's just anytime someone says some bullshit about ace people. i was friends with two different people on here for years. one bad post and they got blocked with no further communication about it. like it's not hard to be normal about ace people, except apparently it is?? cmon.
5. worst discord server and why
the server i joined right after nov 5. speaking of blocking people i blocked like 90% of those guys because they were just generally so fucking unpleasant to be around. if you can see this while logged in i'm not talking about you, you're wonderful <3 if you're only seeing it because you're logged out you need to find some meaning in your life or something. get well. whatever.
6. which ship fans are the most annoying?
(cw inc*st) it's actually the anti-w*ncest people. do they count as shippers? i really hate to start a debate about this on my blog again but like. i'm usually fairly neutral about ship discourse or whatever when it involves two !!! consenting !!! ADULTS !!!, and for the record i don't do w*ncest, but i remember so specifically this trend where people would put "w*ncest shippers dni!" banners on their posts, and then when actual survivors were like "we don't like those banners because it reminds of us of the whole thing multiple times daily and no one tags for them," and everyone continued to use the banners bc it wasn't about protecting survivors, it was about virtue signaling. those people specifically fucking suck. also the people who made a blocklist and had on it people who had shipped it a LITERAL decade ago, as if tastes and personal growth cannot possibly happen in ten years. like i understand that it's well meaning but that is a witch hunt, it's not protecting anyone. please get offline for awhile.
23. ship you’ve unwillingly come around to
awww it's samwena. i still like them better as buds bc i strongly prefer saileen but i have come around to it mostly because of his mommy issues. their goodbye in s15 was something i genuinely enjoyed, i really loved their relationship all the way through and i think it would be hilarious if crowley was crushing on sam only to then have sam fuck his mom <3
[ASK MEME]
#liz answers asks#anonymous#ASK MEMES#liz watches spn#this is not an invitation to send me an ask about shipping discourse btw. please do not

not quite a single ship BUT opinions on saileen versus sam/rowena
they act like two legends cannot coexist !!
ok for real though, i am always for saileen endgame because they were so cute and i think they absolutely deserve each other. plus i love eileen and want good things for her. i’d like to think she was happy with sam. (full disclosure i haven’t seen all of s15 and i know something happens regarding eileen and her free will later in the season? i am ignoring that for the sake of this commentary since i don’t know that much about it).
a part of the allure of samwena, for me at least, was the inherent tragedy behind it. sam was the one who was destined to kill rowena! sometimes in an attempt to sidestep fate, you cause it. whether him killing her necessarily meant the end of rowena is a different story. i really enjoy content where he’s just her wet little purse dog, though. they’re a really fun dynamic to explore in any context.
also i really enjoy saileenwena but i don’t see nearly enough content for it 🙏 again maybe i just suck at looking for content but also going tag surfing is scary + i can only do it for so long
give me a ship and i’ll give you my brutally honest opinion

His Kiss the Riot
Author: spiffyflypie
Artist: kayanem
Rating: Teen
Pairings: Castiel/Dean Winchester
Length: 49105
Warnings: Major Character Death, Suicide Ideation, Canon Afterlife
Tags: mcd is because it takes place after the finale, Fix-It, Post-Finale, Post-Canon, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Saileen - Freeform, some dreamhunter, canon afterlife, suicide ideation, Djinni & Genies
Summary: > Everything is fine. Castiel wakes up to a remade Heaven and a godly son, and it seems they all got their happy ending… except something isn’t right. Castiel keeps running into unexpected barriers that prevent him from seeing Dean, Jack might be a bit too young to handle being god, Sam and Eileen have long since split, and Castiel’s starting to wonder if Heaven is such a happy ending after all. He risks everything by confronting the problem head-on only to wind up stuck in a memory loop. His only hope to break free is a man who probably never wants to see him again. > Everything sucks. A newly powered-up Jack can’t pull Cas out of the Empty, so Dean is left to a restless haze of a life, trying to figure out what to do with himself next. When Cas appears in his dream, and with some prodding from Sam and Eileen, Dean decides to take matters into his own hands and find a way to bring his angel back. Dean just needs to figure out if he can give Cas a home worth coming back to.

I mean, ok, I can understand the episode not addressing Cas' declaration, maybe (MAYBE????) they did genuinely think that Dean was straight, but...Eileen was a perfectly safe and heterosexual ending for Sam and they just forgot about her? If the problem was COVID19 they simply could have added Sam receiving a face call while mourning Dean? I don't actually care much for Saileen, I'm just so confused
I think that the network just wanted to go “safe” and “safe” for them was the bros together, none of the love stuff they had been crafting for, idk five years.
It just sucks, because this is the last we ever got of those relationships:
And it doesn’t make any damn sense why, why the network thought THIS was okay

“Perfect.”
When he first told Dean, he looked so small and helpless, almost guilty, like he expected Dean to just smack him right in the spot for daring to bring it up. Maybe that's what convinced Dean to participate. Or maybe it was the warmth that painted his cheeks when he imagined Cas smiling brightly at his kid and his... and Dean coming together to make something for him. "Father's Day, huh? Sure. Yeah, why not?" Jack smiled as bright as Cas did in his head.
so uhhhh aparently it’s father’s day in the usa? so i wrote a little something for @dadstielweek i hope this is okay <3 also thank you @creepyeyesandfrogs for the inspiration ur the best!!!
Summary: Dean and Jack have plans for Cas on father’s day. They also have some unresolved issues.
Warnings: Miscommunication, self worth issues, J*hn Winchester, brief mentions of self destructive tendencies (nothing explicit), brief mentions of sexual themes between Dean and Cas (also not explicit), background Saileen.
also, english is not my native language and i mess up sometimes! i’d much appreciate it if you warn me about any possible mistakes.
"Damn, kid, those are some bright colors you used." it was meant as a jab, but Jack only smiled proudly
"Thank you" he replied "I thought I might be using too much yellow, so his name is written in pink. See?"
Dean did. He stared at the card for a few more seconds. It read "Dad: I feel so safe with you! You always took good care of me and you hold me so gently when I can't sleep. Your the best dad ever!" in yellow, with blue doodles of bees and hearts around it, and "I love you, Castiel" in light pink at the bottom. It wasn't a work of art, but he clearly had fun doing it with some old colorful markers he found around the bunker. It was funny to Dean that a 5'8'' man had done it.
Not a man, he corrected himself. A kid. It was easier to see it in days like these.
"Yeah, it's real pretty, alright. But, uh, just a note-" Jack looked up then, his eyes wide. Dean tried not to be offended about how obvious it was that he was waiting for Dean to back down at any moment "You wrote 'your'. As in, 'your bag', 'your drink', 'your pen', you know. It's 'you're'. Like, 'you are'. You're. You're the best dad ever. Okay?"
"Oh." he looked down again. Stayed silent for a few seconds. Dean imagined he was processing this new information. Then he brought up the yellow marker and fixed it. "There. Is that it?"
"Yup. Looks perfect, kid. Cas is gonna love it."
Jack looked like someone had just told him he could eat all the candy he wanted. Dean found himself chuckling softly at him, then turned back to the cake he was decorating. He was pretty anxious himself. He knew he wasn't the best cook out there, and art also wasn't his strong spot, but he figured that writing "Happy Father's Day" wouldn't be so hard. Jack insisted in some skittles on top of it, too, because "Cas loves colorful things and he even ate some of Jack's last week and seemed to like it!". Dean wasn't so sure. He knew Cas had a weird relationship with food. He didn't need it, and hardly found any he genuinely liked. So he might not eat it at all. Or he might eat it just to make Dean feel good.
But there was something else he had in mind. Something he and Jack had picked in town last week. It was sappy and simple and exactly the kind of thing he never though they’d get to experience.
In the kitchen counter, close to the coffee machine, there was a porcelain mug wrapped with a colorful ribbon. And on it was written “BEST DAD EVER”.
Coffee was something that Cas liked. Especially when it had plenty of sugar. The mug was silly, the kind of thing you’d find at the dollar store, but it made Dean smile just thinking about it. Cas could drink from it everyday.
Jack followed his gaze and stared at it with a smile. Then he turned to Dean, and to the cake, and seemed to understand something.
“You know he’ll love it too, right?” Dean smiled, but it wasn’t natural anymore. He wasn’t surprised when Jack didn’t buy it. “No, I’m serious. He likes chantilly. He likes chocolate cake. He likes skittles. He loves you. Why wouldn’t he like it?”
It wasn’t planned at all. It just came out. Easy like that.
He likes all those things. He loves you.
Dean sucked in a breath but before he could reply Jack was staring back at the mug. It seemed like he was already thinking about something else. He was like that, sometimes. Too much energy, a bit like an actual child would have, and not enough place to put it. It wasn’t uncommon for him to lose his train of thought mid sentence. It’s like his own brain was a bit too fast for him.
Dean was like that too, sometimes.
He silently wondered if he should scold him for that, like his own father did to him. But he couldn’t bring himself to do so. Instead, He nudged Jack’s shoulder softly. “Go on. Use plenty of chantilly, ‘kay? You’re right, he likes it.”
Jack didn’t need to be told twice. He hopped to the fridge and got the rest of the chantilly Dean used for the cake. Gently placed the ribbon a little lower on the mug so he could pour something inside it. Turned to the kitchen cabinet and picked up a spoon, and, before Dean, he raised his index finger.
And the coffee machine started working.
Magically.
“Jack!” Dean hissed. He didn’t want to deal with that right now. “Jack, please. Don’t-”
“It’s okay!” he seemed excited “I got it.” he brought a spoonful of chantilly, and the mug floated and stood right in front of him, gravity be damned. “It’s easier this way, I can just-” he held the chantilly container with one hand, the spoon with the other, and the mug was hovering in front of him. There was no way he couldn’t see how that was dangerous.
“Jack, come on,” Dean stopped decorating the cake and reached for the mug “just put it d-”
“Whoa, guys?”
Too many things happened too fast. Sam walked through the kitchen door, rubbing his eyes lazily. Dean flinched. Hard. He thought Cas had discovered them. Jack also flinched, his eyes wide and scared, like he’d been found doing something he shouldn’t be doing. The coffee machine stopped working. The mug fell.
It shattered on the floor, before them.
“Oh, shit.” Sam said, wise as ever.”
“Oh, no, no, no, no, no! Come on! Look at it! Goddammit, kid, why did you have to- Come on!”
“Guys? Uh, sorry-”
“I’m- I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! I thought- I thought Cas had- I got scared, I’m sorry, Dean, I can fix this, let me just-” he gestured to it, clearly intending to use his powers again, but Dean stopped him, gripping his wrist forcefully with just a little too much strength.
“No. You’ve done enough.” Dean said, his voice cold. He wasn’t sure how exactly things could get worse, but he didn’t want to find out either. Jack struggled to get away from his hold with wobbling lips.
“Dean-” Sam placed a careful hand on his brother’s shoulder “what’s going on?”
“It’s father’s day.” Dean said “We baked a cake and bought Cas a stupid mug but now-” he sighed “the kid used his creepy ass powers and now it’s broken.”
That was like someone had slapped Jack in the face. He finally managed to get his arm free and stepped back like it had burned him. He clutched his wrist, and cried.
“I’m s-sorry...” he managed between sobs.
Dean stared.
He was crying. Outright bawling his eyes out like it was all he knew how to do. If Cas hadn’t slept in Dean’s room (conveniently far away from the kitchen, it was all thought out, that’s definetely the only reason he was there) exhausted from last night’s activities (angels don’t need sleep, per se, but they do benefit from it every now and then if they’re low on grace and already tired from... uh, hunting) he probably would have woken up.
“Oh, shit.” Dean said, for once, somewhat wise.
“I’m sorry, I’m- I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to- I shouldn’t have used th-them. It’s my fault! I didn’t- I didn’t mean-!” he stepped back again, like he was scared anyone would hurt him (or he would hurt anyone).
Dean’s heart dropped to his toes and he wanted to punch himself in the face.
“Shit, kid. No, it’s- Fuck. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have- I shouldn’t have yelled like that. Fuck. Sam, a little help here?”
Sam stared at them for a second, his eyebrows knitted together.
Dean got mad and went a bit too far. That’s happened before.
It happened a lot with John.
But Dean would always chime in and fix John’s messes for him.
Sam turned around, brought a shovel and a broom and in two swift movements cleaned the remains of the mug while Dean stared at him like he’d grown a second head.
And then he left the kitchen.
“What the fuck. Sam, what the- Sam!” but, obviously, Sam didn’t turn around. It wasn’t that he didnt care. He did. So much. He was scared that if he let them there things would only get worse. But he trusted them- he had to.
Dean and Jack needed to have this conversation by themselves.
Jack. The Jack that was pressed up against the wall crying desperately like there’s no tomorrow. Dean wanted to cry too.
“Kid. Jack. Jack, I’m sorry. Hey, listen to me.” he took a careful step but Jack didn’t even seem to notice. He was clutching his own wrist so hard Dean was scared he was going to break the skin.
He raised his hand and slowly reached for his wrist. Jack flinched again and looked up to Dean like he was surprised that he was so close. Slowly, like he was trying to approach a wild animal, Dean held the kid’s hand and opened it, forcing him to let go.
“There we go. Careful, kiddo. You were hurting yourself.”
Jack scoffed, or tried to, but as he hadn’t stopped crying yet it sounded a little like a scared cat. “Right. Like I d-don’t deserve it.”
“No.” Dean’s voice was suddenly rough again “No, you don’t. Kid- Jack, look at me.”
Jack didn’t want to, but Dean reached for his chin softly and, carefully, as if the Nephilim was made of glass, he brought his face up.
“I-I ruined it, Dean. I broke the mug.”
“Yeah.” his voice was soft again “You did. But it’s okay. You didn’t do it on purpose. You got scared. You shouldn’t have been so careless, but you didn’t mean to do it. I know you didn’t. Okay? You just have to be more careful next time. It’s fine. You’re fine, okay? I’m... I’m sorry I yelled. I’m sorry I hurt you.”
Jack stared at him. His lips were slightly parted and his face was still tear stained. Dean ran his thumbs through his cheekbones, drying his tears softly. Jack let him.
“I’m sorry, Dean. I shouldn’t have... Used them. My- my creepy powers.”
“No, Jack, it’s okay. Those powers, they’re not creepy, okay? They’ve helped so many people before. They’ve saved us. And they’re a part of you, and you’re not creepy, okay? You’re not. I’m sorry I said that. I was wrong. And I shouldn’t have- Shouldn’t have yelled. I’m sorry, too. I’m sorry, Jack.”
Jack looked like he was waiting for the punchline. He studied Dean’s face, and eventually he stuttered out “It’s... It’s okay, Dean.”
“We both fucked up, huh?” he chuckled softly, and Jack did so too.
“Yeah. I guess- I guess we did.”
“Well, I’m the adult. I can’t let this happen again. I’m not going to. Okay? I’ll be more careful too. I just- I lost it, Jack. I’m so, so sorry. I hope you know how wrong I was. You’re not bad, Jack. You didn’t do this on purpose. You were just trying to be faster. It’s okay. You made a small mistake. It’s no biggie. I need to keep it cool next time, okay?”
“No! No, there won’t be a next time, Dean. I’ll be more careful, I promise!”
Dean smiled. “I know, Jack, I know you will. But you’re four. You’re gonna make silly mistakes like this. Your job is to try a little more everyday. Okay?”
Jack nodded enthusiastically. “I will. I’ll do my best.”
“I know you will, little guy. I will, too, okay?”
“Okay.”
“I promise, too.” Jack smiled at that. Dean swept his hair from his face, leaned in and kissed the kid’s forehead. He beamed. And then he stopped. Dean glanced at his face.
“But, Dean... It’s, it’s broken, now. We only have the cake and the card.”
“Well, I’m sure he’ll love them, Jack.”
“Yeah, but... It’s... It’s Cas, Dean. He deserves better.”
Dean contemplated for a second. And then he smiled. Jack tilted his head in a very Cas-like fashion.
“I have an idea.”
Cas turned around in Dean’s bed, hoping to find the man laying next to him. He didn’t.
It wasn’t unnexpected, you see, Dean woke up early everyday. Cas wasn’t used to sleeping, but when he did, he slept in late. He only needs his four hours after all. But honestly, Cas couldn’t help but wonder if there was some shame in there.
He glanced around the room and decided it would be best if he got dressed. He got up, groaning softly, then retrieved his underwear and pants from Dean’s desk. His shirt was on the ground. Tie and trenchcoat were perched on a chair. His cellphone was on his pocket. He thought about going out, maybe make Jack some breakfast, but it was still early and the kid was probably asleep. So he decided to go back to bed (without his trenchcoat, mind you, not even he is that formal).
Immediately as he laid down there was a knock on the door. “Come in!” he slurred out, still sleepy.
Whoever was on the other side hesitated. “Are you... Decent?”
Cas couldn’t stop his smile. “Yeah, Dean, I’m decent.”
“No, like... Jack- Jack is here, Cas.”
There was a laugh on the other side. “Dude?” Sam whispered. Cas decided to pretend he didn’t hear him.
“Come in, Dean. Unless you want me to put on my shoes as well.”
The door opened and the first thing Cas noticed is that Dean’s whole face was red as a tomato. The second thing was that he was holding a cake covered in chantilly and skittles and the third is that he was followed by Jack and Sam.
Oh, no, did he forget anyone’s birthday?
But they didn’t sing. Instead, Jack jumped on the bed, holding something colorful. Sam was right behind him, holding a wooden platform and placing it on the bed. It was like a support so nothing would fall. Dean put the cake on the platform and Jack placed something too.
Cas blinked.
“Uh, wh-what’s... Did I... Miss something?”
“It’s Father’s Day!!” Jack beamed. Cas couldn’t help but mirror his smile. But he was still a bit confused.
“O-okay, so...?” Jack leaped at him, involving him in a hug.
“Happy Father’s Day, dad!”
Oh. Oh! “Jack!”
“Kid’s super excited. It’s your first Father’s day without an apocalypse, after all. So, we... Yeah. We did something.” Dean tried to explain. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Cas stared at him like he’d personally brought him the moon.
“They did something for you, too, Cas. Look!” Sam pointed at the colorful package at the improvised table. He noticed, then, that it wasn’t a package.
It was a mug involved by a colorful ribbon. The one he usually used. It used to be white and bland. But now, there was a blue tie doodled on it, and in Dean’s unmistakable handwriting it was written “WORLD’S BEST DAD”. It was filled with coffee and chantilly, just the way he likes it.
Cas held it in his hands and couldn’t stop the tears flooding his face.
For a second, Jack panicked. His eyes widened and he looked between Cas and Dean questioningly. Dean reached a hand to his shoulder and whispered “I think he likes it, Champ.”
“But- But he’s crying?”
Cas sniffed loudly, then. He couldn’t explain it. He didn’t expect it. World’s best dad, him? “They’re... T-they’re tears of joy, Jack.”
Sam giggled sofly. He brought his cellphone up and started recording. He was happy he did, because just at that moment, Dean leaned down and kissed him wholeheartedly.
Like, on the lips. Full on romantic kiss. The type they show on TV.
If Jack was surprised, he didn’t show it. But he was happy, that was clear. Sam, however, cheered them on. “Oh, fucking finally!”
Dean showed the camera his middle finger. Jack tilted his head again, and Sam zoomed in on him, mumbling something about “like father, like son”. When they broke apart, their pupils blown and panting softly, Dean cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck. Cas was at loss for words.
Jack seemed to remember something, then, and shoved his card on Cas’ face with no mercy. “Oh, oh! I also made a card! And Dean baked the cake! We painted the mug together. He taught me how to draw a tie. Do you like it?”
“Liked it? Jack, I love it. Look at it! You drew a bee, too! It’s so pretty.” he sighed contented while Dean tried to steal Sam’s phone only to find he had already sent the video to Eileen. Jack stared at him with childlike wonder, and Cas was almost scared for a moment because of how happy he was. But it was okay. He was allowed to be happy. He deserved it. “I love it. Thank you, so much. All of you. It’s perfect- you’re perfect.” he turned to Dean, with Sam’s hand on his shoulder as he cooed childishly. “I love you, Dean.” And then he turned to Jack, the kid smiling in blissful, childish naivety. “And I love you, son.”
“See?” Dean grinned, nudging Jack playfully “I told you he’d love it.”

hey tabitha i just saw you finished and this your living kiss for the first time? 👀 what are your thoughts on it?
(spoiler review under the cut lmao)
LOVED IT LOVED IT. so I’m not a big AU person (I love canonverse too much and there’s always so many OOC characters... it's why I never finished Beat Sheet RIP, though it was hilarious and now that I know the plot twist through tumblr I kinda want to finish it just for that.) But this hit just the right amount of buttons for me.
I think their relationship translated soooooo well to this alternate universe. like, what is dean if not just some guy with a shitty, shitty life but lots of spirit and love who somehow inspires cas to be himself and break free y'know.
the side character roles were so creative too. like, missouri being his former teacher and mentor? kevin being the insecure student in class who was worried he'd never measure up to the poems from class? even tired-and-true tropes like charlie being his best friend felt more fleshed out with the flashbacks to how they met and her having her own life & story rather than just being there to be the emotional gay support.
also I said this here but I really do like that jack was the saileen kid instead of the destiel kid. I'm not big on baby jack (sorry y'all.) to be fair, this is definitely a personal preference since I don’t really care for babies or kidfic in general lol (the responsibility of raising a baby is terrifying to me and I don’t get the appeal of a ship having one) and have complicated feelings on dean & jack in general. but sometimes it sucks to see the importance of sam & jack's relationship undermined just to give dean/destiel a baby too, especially when he had been the first one to truly be there for him and care about him. so this at least fixes that.
uncle dean works SO well too. he’s not his father but he does spend a lot of time taking care of the kid and still becomes a huge part of his life. and it also meant we got to have a young jack who greets everyone by signing and I think that’s absolutely adorable (love that he was still adopted too.) sam got to more than just the “brother who is off at law school” too, loved them discussing the intricacies of being raised by john winchester and dean seeing how sam is trying to be a better father to jack.
anyways, as for the actual meat of the fic I mean woooooooooh the psychoanalysis of dean winchester through poems were written SO well and delicately. I’m not a very cultured person when it comes to poetry so I honestly learned a lot about form and prose from the discussions about it in both cas and missouri’s class. jack allen’s style is so fun and the kind of poetry I would be way more into over the “I am very intelligent” types the other students seem to prefer, with the way it feels more real and storytelling and references pop culture. it’s why I enjoy spn bloggers’ poems so much I think, because I know what it’s referencing.
but yeah, the “perfect” poem had me crying and seeing cas’s reaction to realizing the “lazarus” poem was about him was great. dean’s first poem about death was actually my favorite, I loved that it used creatures from the show like Thee Death as metaphor and imagery in his poem. it’s just such a cool way to tie in canon.
other small moments I liked: 1) the alternating POVs showing how each saw the other and were like “wow he is out of my league” 2) the hilarious discourse on how his poem was “femalecoded” and Max and Kevin basically being like “yeah that’s not a thing” like hello spn tumblr and 3) DEAN’S BIRTHDAY <3
was it borderline lifetime rom-com? sure. is it very unrealistic that a lot of people would show up to a lgbt college group’s poetry seminar because there was an attractive teacher? definitely. but overall, it’s just a very soft and sweet fic that I think any artist or creative type (not just poem writers) can relate to and see themselves in.
anyways this is definitely longer than what you asked for but WOOF I like this fic a lot, talk to me about it
sidenote: had a very out-of-body experience reading this part of the fic after realizing this fic was written in 2019 aka a YEAR BEFORE THE CONFESSION???
#the cascord has been doing a fic of the month club which is why I finally read it#next one up is strandlines so wish me luck#last one was Teaching Poetry to Fish which I haven't actually finished yet because I made the mistake of trying to read it one sitting#asks#gracekisses#destiel#and this your living kiss

Destiel fluff is [watching westerns on Dean’s laptop while sitting up in bed together] [eye rolls when Dean is being frustrating or Cas is being obstinate] [holding eye contact to tell each other things they can’t properly verbalize] [shoving each other into walls and pinning each other] [Cas growling and Dean sucking hickeys into Cas’s neck] [wrestling each other to the ground without either of them giving an inch to the other] [pinching and biting and groping being indulged in by both] [Dean being touch-starved and Cas wanting nothing more than to hold on to Dean forever] [relaxing on the couch with Dean resting his head on Cas’s lap, and Cas carding his fingers through Dean’s hair] [a rerun of a Dr. Sexy episode playing on the tv that has Cas complaining about unresolved plot holes and ooc absurdity] [Dean arguing against Cas’s reasoning because he enjoys pushing Cas’s buttons] [Cas getting worked up until he realizes that Dean is deliberately goading him] [Cas shoving Dean off the couch and Dean laughing over Cas’s prior righteous fury] [Cas raising an eyebrow at Dean that kills Dean’s laughter and has him gazing back at Cas until his lips go dry] [Dean licking his lips and the heated kisses from Cas that follow] [meeting Saileen to go bowling on a double date where upon Sam and Dean get very competitive about beating each other’s scores] [Eileen getting the highest score because she is a badass, and Cas getting the lowest because Cas would rather have Dean rub up against him to show Cas proper form than knock over a bunch of wooden pins] [holding hands walking back from the farmer’s market on a breezy day where Cas’s trench coat is tousled by the wind] [lightly kissing each other’s knuckles while holding hands] [Jack drawing pictures in crayon of his family that are hung on the fridge] [Jack drawing Cas with rainbow wings and Dean with black Batman wings] [Dean stopping himself from telling Jack that Batman has a cape and not wings because the wings look badass] [Jack drawing Sam and Eileen playing catch with Miracle] [and Jack drawing Kaia and Claire carrying decapitated vampires to burn in a bonfire that Jack drew himself standing beside roasting marshmallows] [Cas falling into the habit of calling things awesome and Dean falling into the habit of saying something is not of import] [Dean nuzzling his face in the crook of Cas’s neck while Cas bakes] [Dean planting kisses along Cas’s neck and nipping at Cas’s earlobe] [Cas humming while Dean is kissing him] [Jack collecting fresh eggs from their chickens to cook pancakes] [Jack using his god powers to put out a stovetop fire when he can’t find the fire extinguisher] [Dean telling Jack that he will teach Jack how to cook] [Dean cooking for Cas even though Cas doesn’t need to eat] [Cas savoring every bite of food that Dean cooks] [Cas being grumpy if he is awake early, because he is not a morning person] [Dean being careful not to disturb Cas, when he gets up at dawn to take Jack fishing] [Cas finding a fresh pot of coffee after waking up, because Dean set the coffeemaker’s timer to brew before he left] [Cas texting Dean emojis to express his happiness and love] [Dean responding with an emoji keysmash because Cas always smiles over them] [Cas weeding their vegetable garden when Jack and Dean get back home] [Dean showing Cas a photo on his phone of the really big fish that Jack caught, because Jack wanted to release the trophy fish to go back to its family] [listening to the Led Zeppelin mixtape Dean made Cas on a stereo cassette player Cas purchased from a thrift store] [Cas bringing his mixtape and stereo outside to play quietly every time he is tending to their garden, their chickens, or their honeybees] [Cas letting Dean pull him away from his work, so they can lie beside each other in the shade of a tree and watch the clouds roll by overhead] [falling asleep nuzzled together in mid-afternoon cradled by blue sky and green grass, while rock music is still audible from a cassette tape playing on a loop in Cas’s stereo]

StackedNatural Day 97: 10x11, 11x11
StackedNatural Masterpost: [x]
January 27, 2022
10x11: There's No Place Like Home
Written by: Robbie Thompson
Directed by: Phil Sgriccia
Original air date: January 27, 2015
Plot Synopsis:
When Sam comes across a video of Charlie attacking a district attorney, Dean thinks she has returned from Oz to hunt on her own.
Features:
Good vs. Evil Charlie, Dean’s clean eating, extremely hateable realtor with a history of drunk driving, the Wizard of Oz, the Book of the Damned.
My Thoughts:
I didn’t remember this episode at all and to be honest based off the summary I was kind of skeptical, because I didn’t really like the episode with Dorothy, but once you buy into the premise it was actually pretty good. Nic @weedsinavacantlot called it a soap opera, and they’re right. The mirror between Dean with the Mark and Charlie with the dark side of herself is a bit clumsy, but it does make for some really nice moments between the two of them that I enjoyed. Charlie is a great character and I love her relationship with Dean.
I think Felicia day does a good job of differentiating between all three versions of Charlie that she plays in this episode. I particularly like her doe eyes when she plays Good Charlie, I think they’re cute.
The main issue I have with this episode is that in order for it to make sense you have to accept that there are inherent moral values to food, sex, and alcohol. I can understand moralizing alcohol in this universe (especially given Dean’s relationship with alcohol), but I don’t love that you can’t eat a hamburger or think a girl is hot without having given in to your dark side or whatever. This is the kind of thing that make people in the fandom think that Sam has a purity based eating disorder.
I do think that the Mark of Cain arc gave them a really great opportunity to actually explore Dean’s alcoholism in a meaningful way, which they’ve teetered on the edge of a bunch of times but never truly resolved, so it ends up being kind of disappointing.
Something interesting about the Mark of Cain (and I can’t decide if this is purposeful or not) is that a lot of the time when Dean gives in to little violent urges like threatening the lawyer in this episode, it gets rewarded by the narrative by giving them information that they likely wouldn’t have gotten any other way. It complicates the morals a little.
Notable Lines:
“Our Charlie? Yea high, wouldn't hurt a Hobbit, practically sparkles?”
“You lied to me.” “You lied to yourself. That's kind of your move.”
“I forgive you, Dean.” “Yeah, well, I don't.” “I know. Kind of your move.”
Laura’s (completely subjective) Episode Rating: 7.8
IMdB Rating: 8.0
11x11: Into the Mystic
Written by: Robbie Thompson
Directed by: John Badham
Original air date: January 27, 2016
Plot Synopsis:
Sam and Dean investigate a case where people are suffering violent deaths after hearing a mysterious sound.
Features:
Malevolent banshee, a locked-room muder, Sam’s Cage trauma, Saileen origin story, Dean and Casifer bonding hour, Dean is vulnerable.
My Thoughts:
I haven’t seen this episode before but it was SO good to me, thank you Robbie Thompson!
I have one complaint that I will get out of the way first is that the effects on the banshee suck so much shit. That accounts for most of the points knocked off this score. It would have been way scarier of a monster if it was invisible, but if they absolutely HAD to have it visible then surely it would have been cheaper to just cast an actress and put her in a red dress and some makeup. CGI costs so much and it looks so terrible.
I loved Mildred, so often old women who think the boys are hot are totally creepy and played so that Jared can make a yuck face as a gag, but she was so sweet. I love that we got to see Dean thinking about living into old age (MY HEART, Y’ALL). I love that she wants to practice ASL for her granddaughter. I love that she wants to make Dean a little bit happier and that she got to be part of the success of the hunt.
Likewise Eileen gets an amazing introduction in this episode. I don’t claim to know a lot of Deaf culture or disabilities but Supernatural is the last show I would have guessed would make Eileen’s deafness a gift of protection from her mother rather than a curse or the result of trauma. I like that part of her connection with Sam is just that he tries to do nice things like speak ASL even if he isn’t good at it. It’s such a good meet cute. And earlier this season he was talking about settling down with someone in the life! It was the obvious narrative choice but I like that she got to kill the banshee.
I loved that Sam and Dean actually talked to each other like human’s about what they were going through. Sam’s trauma from the cage got addressed rather than being glossed over.
Speaking of the Cage, I have been seeing people talk about Casifer online since I got back in to the show so I was excited to meet him, but I was NOT prepared for how great a job Misha does with it. Obviously he’s a great actor, but when someone plays the same character for a long time it’s really easy for me to forget that they’re super skilled. Casifer is the exact right amount of creepy and the exact right amount off from Cas that it sets off alarm bells without giving anything specific to point to. I love that he has a lot of season 4 Cas traits like standing too close to Dean, and I can’t explain it but the facial expressions are more season 4 than season 11 Cas. I hope he stays in Cas for a long time and it doesn’t get resolved right away because it's really spectacular to watch.
I don’t care much for the Dean/Amara stuff - I much prefer to believe @casitito’s theory here that the last scene of the episode with Dean lying in bed is the moment he realizes how he feels about Cas. I am going to rewatch this episode three times and convince myself that that’s what happened.
Notable Lines:
“Being so close to Lucifer again, that... Brought stuff up. Stuff I thought I forgot about.”
“When's the last time you watched a sunset without waiting for something to go bump in the night?”
“You want to know the secret to living a long and happy life?” “Actually, yes, I do.”
“I should've looked for you. When you were in Purgatory, I... I should've turned over every stone. But I didn't. I stopped. And I've never forgiven myself for it.” “Well... I have.”
Laura’s (completely subjective) Episode Rating: 9.6
IMdB Rating: 8.6
In Conclusion: Today’s Stack is about being forgiven by the people you’ve wronged even when you can’t forgive yourself.

So I am literally just speculating but something does not sit right with me about this last season. It doesn’t sit right with a lot of people but here’s my thing:
-knowing this is going to be the last season (I don’t know when they announced it but it was pretty early) and you went in, you started plot lines in s14 that would continue into s15 that just... didn’t go anywhere.
-you brought characters in and back for storylines that only fit to further the boys’ plotline, which would have been fine if you didn’t insist on killing them right after when the fandom has been asking you for years ‘please stop killing my faves’
-one of your actors, who’s been trying to convince you for years, goes full down knock down drag out for one whole ‘I love you’ scene to canonically make him gay (which you’ve been denying for years and made him sleep with women) and you decide to pepper little things throughout the entire season that shows Cas and Dean feel more for each other than just friendship. And instead of making Dean reciprocate, you kill him because of literary symmetry that stopped being relevant to the story in s4 or s5
-you then started a bunch of plot lines (and here is where it REALLY gets me) that were good this season. That were leading you up to the finale. And then you got to the middle of it. AND IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE YOU JUST DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR CHARACTERS OF 15 YEARS SO YOU JUST DECIDED TO THROW OUT AT LEAST 9-10 YEARS WORTH OF CHARACTER GROWTH IN ORDER FOR IT TO REALLY ALL TIE TOGETHER ( I mean, come on. They did a whole ass episode bout why being normal sucks and then all they wanted at the end WAS TO BE NORMAL I CANT EVEN THIS SHOW WAS EVERYWHERE THIS SEASON)
-and then you just LITTER the season with meta and foreshadowing (Dean and Cas in purgatory, Dean and Cas ‘what’s real about any of it?’ ‘We are’, Sam and Eileen not knowing if it’s real and breaking up because of it ((which didn’t even matter come sam wanting to get his dick wet but I digress 🙃)) and then you have Garth who got to live, his episode is ‘the heroes journey’ and he ends up safe, happy, still settled with his wife LIKE A MIRROR FOR OUR BOYS) and then you just DECIDE THAT NONE OF THAT MATTERS
-and then you did exactly what we asked you not to do for years. No matter how many times we all said ‘we want to see the boys happy, together, all three of them. We want them together as a family, even Jack too and Claire and the wayward sisters, we literally wanted everyone safe, happy, alive.’ So it doesn’t matter which ending they were going to give us, it was always going to end in a way we never wanted or asked for. They literally heard... okay. We kill the boys. And then everyone, even if they aren’t dead yet... will be in Dean’s heaven. That sounds right. EXCEPT THE PEOPLE THAT WE WOULD HAVE WANTED THERE, THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT REDEEMABLE FOR US (Samantha Ferris, Chad Lindberg, Osric, etc) WERE NEVER GOING TO BE THERE. it was going to be filled with his abusive father, a mother that we fleshed out and mourned for a second (or third I can’t remember) time, a vessel of the guy that very much tried everything to get away from you and your brother and this life and was super not okay with it and only did it to save his daughter but sure, he cares about you, and the actual fucking band Kansas. Who isn’t even dead!
So you did that. You did all that. And so here’s where i absolutely eat fire. Besides wanting to know why on earth this was done to our show after years of asking them not to, I want to know why it nearly felt like they were setting us up for another season. They knew that s15 would be the last way before they started writing. They had the time to write this well thought out ending and they could have taken it so many ways. They could have closed a loop, they could have tried again with the spinoff as I’m sure it would be phenomenal now. But everything they did, every plot hole and plot line they opened and never closed again... feels like it should have been a set up for s16. Now maybe I have too much anger and this was done accidentally, but I don’t think so.
Now I want to add a disclaimer that there a no proof here, I’m speculating, of course. And there were never rumors about a s16. But with the way the season went, I can’t help but wonder if someone had already planned for one. And when j2m said no, we’re gonna hang it up, it fucked a lot of peoples plans of this show being their cash cow. Now, it’s completely possible that the writers are just bad as this show has given us some doozies before. maybe they recycled plot had they been planning for a s16 but Cas’ declaration scene was the first thing to be written so... I doubt that.
But here’s my thing alright, and if you’re already here with me, guys, stay with me: why would you leave all these open ends knowing there will be no other season, throw away all this character growth you’ve been writing and telling the fans about for 15 years, and do exactly what the fans asked you not to and leave them separated and stuck on blood when for years you’ve been telling us ‘family don’t end in blood’?
It was a fuck you. It was a big fuck you to everyone involved. And I don’t mean just to the fans, which is exactly what it was to all the people that asked for them to end up alive and happy (so most of us). Again, I say, I’m speculating but it sounds to me like producers, show runners, went out of their way to make this season not make any sense. To make it bad (the fight with Dean and Cas having been written more sad than angry, the way we had an entire holiday episode for the first time in a while but without Cas, the way they literally told us the ending in beckys scene and then had the nerve to make fun of the GOT ending, I won’t even mention saileen again, the way they knew it would only reach about 30% as a good ending). It sounds to me like someone was being a petty bitch. And especially towards Jensen and Misha. Going back to look at this season, those two boys were put through the ringer and were put at the forefront of our screens and made to go outside of their character especially in the last few episodes, and yet it was all a plot device for Sam to live on.
Jensen who went tooth and nail for his characters ending and hated it (even the original one because I’m pretty sure it was pitched to him precovid) got a car ride for the send off to his character. Misha who fought for Cas to be queer for years got to die and have 12 years of love be for nothing (as dean dies a week later). These are the two that have been trying to tell the show who their character really is for years. If you go back and watch panels, Jensen has been trying to tell them for years where he thought his character should go and he said multiple times that it got swept under. He said he left the meeting feeling drained and they told him he was too close to the story. Bitch, he’s Dean!
I can only speculate that Jared didn’t have as much back and forth with the writers and show runners, but I don’t actually know. I’ve seen a panel in which he said he’s done that stuff but they’ve literally either not listened or done the opposite so I have a feeling he stopped trying so hard after a while. But I can take a guess, after hearing what Jared said at his panel about the ending being good and right, that they brainwashed him just a little to believe that this is the ending they’d always been fighting for. They say forget AKF, forget pretty much all the growth you’ve had for the past few seasons and he had to go along with it. I can also speculate that with the new show coming out they were like ‘shhh this will be good for your ratings’.
TL; DR: I think the show runners/ producers purposefully set us up with a bad season because the producers/show runners are petty bitches and they broke our boys to do it.

Saileen endgame was real - another casualty of the “true ending” & why it pulled a better vanishing act than Houdini ever could
I know everyone is reacting to what Jared said and some people are upset (understandly so). I already had Saileen and BeanDenny meta-type posts on the way but after seeing this, I decided to put the finishing touches on the Saileen one first to get it up there because I know some of my fellow Saileen peeps are hurting rn.
In this one, I want to focus particularly on this one quote of Jared’s from the article: “I think it was very, very purposely ambiguous and strangely I agreed with that. I feel like a lot of what Sam did after Dean died was almost in honor of what Dean would have wanted, and Dean would not have wanted his little brother to marry Eileen, Ruby, someone in the life.”
Okay let’s break this down (prepare for one long ass post):
“It was very, very purposely ambiguous”
We know that Sam met Eileen back in 11x11 in the episode called “Into the Mystic” - interesting title, right? I invite you to look at the lyrics here for the Van Morrison song of that title that this episode title is supposedly based from. According to the SPN wiki, the song is about death or saying goodbye. (x) Please keep that in mind as we move forward.
In season 11, the theme is clearly ‘heart’ which is made pretty clear by things that are happening in the plot this season:
Cas is possessed by Lucifer the second half of the season so Casifer is on scene until he isn’t
Dean has a bond with The Darkness aka Amara
Amara is downright pissed at Chuck (as she should be) & wants to confront him, doing anything and everything she can to make it happen - she ends up going to spend family time with him in the end, getting her brother back because that’s what she really needed
Chuck and Lucifer have a temporary reconciliation in order to work together to defeat Amara - working out the hurt that Lucifer has from Chuck abandoning him, casting him out, & locking him up
Claire is learning to settle in at Jody’s - at first, she struggles but realizes in the end she now has a family
Sam & Dean have an episode involving a wrestling show that John had taken them to in the past, something they remember fondly
Dean is starting to doubt the ending he always thought would happen for himself
We have a Bobby and Rufus episode - remember that scene where Bobby and Dean see each other for a split second? & we see Bobby on the phone with the boys in the past?
Sam is reunited temporarily with Sully, his imaginary friend, who cares for him still
We see Dean, Sam & Jenna saving a baby after the father makes sure she’s safe with them, before turning himself - the baby who ends up being Amara
Cas is overtaken by Rowena’s spell in 11x03 - we all know the infamous face-cradling scene from the end of the episode
We see Amara sucking up souls - this leaves them soulless, unable to feel or love anything, tell wrong from right
Amara while looking for Chuck keeps trying to find ways to get his attention so she goes after those she thinks matter most to him - the believers, the angels, Lucifer
Sam dies temporarily & Dean is desperate to get him back - and what’s playing at the same time as this part of the story? the werewolf husband (boyfriend?) who killed Sam while the wife (girlfriend?) has no idea until it’s almost too late & what does she say at the end of the episode? she talks to Dean about how she can’t go back to normal after losing the person she loves
We get an epic episode from Baby’s perspective - we all know that’s a huge part of Dean’s heart - not to mention that was home for them for a lot of years
Sam has been praying to God for help with Amara and thought he was getting responses until he finds out they’re from Lucifer
Sam & Dean meet Jesse & Cesar, two hunters who are married and ready to settle down once they get the revenge Jesse needs
Metatron sees Chuck again & then later sacrifices himself so Sam & Donatello can get Casifer to safety (long story short, Chuck might be able to cage Amara back up with Lucifer’s help which means he won’t give up & the world will be safe - if anyone was in love with humanity...)
We see Rowena admit why she hates Crowley so much when he asks why - because if she doesn’t, she might love him
Lucifer takes Sam on a stroll through memory lane and of oh, look at that, he uses a moment where Sam is in high school & kisses a girl, his time with Amelia in season 8 & the dog, and when he sacrificed himself to save Dean in season 5 - all moments related to the heart/love
Mary is resurrected in the season finale which is what Amara told Dean she gave Dean in return for helping her to realize what she truly needed (her brother/family) & wants to do the same for him
And in addition to this, look at these moments:
interesting place for the warding to go, right? on this time travel episode on this rando character? those that wanted to steal the hand of God weapon could have killed her differently in order to get it, but no she puts the warding right there to ensure they’d have to do it that way
remember this scene? Amara makes Lucifer unconscious and what happens right after she puts her hand over Cas’ heart? she is able to connect to Dean and show him a bloody Cas which puts the pressure on to find their location and rescue Casifer
The season was definitely about heart. So keeping that in mind, and looking at that list through the lens of what that season was about & had even been confirmed in dialogue a few times throughout it (“We always do this. Make the heart choice instead of the smart choice” - Sam to Dean when talking about Cas & Lucifer) - hell we even get an episode dedicated to Valentine’s Day and matters of the heart, wife wanting her husband to stop cheating & love her back - so take a look at what is in the 11x11 episode alone:
Dean & Sam end up in a retirement community investigating a case
Dean talks about what his ending might be before Sam dismisses it unintentionally because he’s having a hard time himself due to what happened with Lucifer
Sam meets Eileen and discovers that she’s another hunter and a MOL legacy
Dean meets Mildred who keeps hitting on him but also gives him sage advice (”follow your heart”)
Mildred has a heart ailment and that is why Dean & Sam are thinking she’ll be attacked next by the banshee (the banshee actually attacks Dean)
The first victim (that we see on screen that is) attacked by the banshee in the retirement home is the manager who has just told Dean that his wife left him and he is heartbroken, & he is staying at the building in the meantime
Casifer makes an appearance and it’s the first time we see Dean sense something isn’t right but not 100% sure yet - Casifer grabs the wrong shoulder, Dean talks about Amara and Casifer doesn’t really react, etc - and what do we get in the end? “Darlin’, if there is one thing I’ve learned in all my years on the road, it’s when somebody’s pining for somebody else” - many people theorize this is about Amara or Cas but either way it’s about Dean’s heart -- & isn’t it interesting that this is the first episode we see Casifer interact with Dean, sensing something is off, & he talks about Amara & lo and behold, Sam meets Eileen?
In the beginning of the episode, we see Sam has no hope; by the end of it, we see he has hope again -- sound familiar? think Dean when he lost Cas in 12x23, when he lost Cas in Chuck’s vision from 15x09
And if you need further proof in the pudding what this episode is about, I list even more detail here (though just a warning, it does feature Saileen but admittedly it’s more about Destiel and Dean).
Now, these are some interesting parallels:
Mildred lives in the retirement community | Eileen goes undercover as an employee there (why didn’t she try to act like a law enforcement agent like we’ve seen Sam, Dean, John, Mary, Bobby & Rufus do?)
Eileen is deaf | Mildred mentions her granddaughter is deaf - bonus: Sam knows ASL from college where he was also pre-law (more on that below)
Eileen was trained to be a hunter growing up | Sam was trained (to an extent, not as much as Dean) to be a hunter
Eileen’s mom was a lawyer | Sam was pre-law
Eileen is a MOL legacy | Sam is a MOL legacy
Eileen lost her parents to a monster in her room while she was in her crib, her ears bleeding from the banshee’s scream | Sam lost his mom (& technically his dad since he became a “broken shell” of a man) to a demon in his room while he was in his crib, blood in his mouth from the YED
Eileen gets her revenge this episode | Sam already got his revenge back in season 2 (for Jess)
And look at this framing:
this is after Mildred tells Eileen “You can have the tall one”
And check out this intro scene between Dean & Eileen. Anything look familiar?
“This is Castiel. This is Mary...Winchester.” “Your mother.” (x) (and if you don’t see the connection there, that’s totes cool but I then present this question to you, why did Sam introduce Dean to Eileen in this way, where Dean shakes her hand without giving a usual wave or nod and a “hey, how are you doing?” They purposely showed the handshake/introduction because they are telling you it was important for Dean to meet Eileen, look at the framing)
and that’s an interesting style coat Mary is wearing up above, right?
I mean, maybe it’s just hunter uniform - you can get them off the rack at 30% at the nearest hunters’ outfits outlet (did I just make a bad joke? well the show gave me a bad finale so sorry not sorry)
And let’s not forget who took out the banshee - Eileen and Mildred working together & look at the ending scene: isn’t it interesting that they have Sam and Eileen walking out together & then Mildred and Dean? And then Eileen & Mildred watch Sam & Dean drive away? (x) I mean look at that framing
We all know Eileen was killed off in season 12 (which was stupid imo but so goes the fate of being a woman on this show, yep I said it) by Ketch using a Hell Hound to brutally kill her (again, need I say more?) but we also know she was brought back in 15x06, where Sam is able to find a spell to help resurrect her. Here’s the thing: if Eileen was never supposed to be in Sam’s ending, if she was never supposed to be considered for anything post-Dean’s death, then why bring her back? To end her story like they attempted to do for Kevin, in that very limited ambiguous way? Okay, sure, but then why the romance? What was the point of introducing it that late in the story? And it was a romance because they made a point of mentioning in dialogue in 15x14 that Sam is going on a date with her, that he’s worried about her when she comes back, they have “an agreement”, and he’s then devastated when she’s Thanos snapped. We even see him reacting to her phone and keys on the ground where she disappeared. Where Dean comforts him and then goes after Billie with Cas, them thinking it’s her that made everyone disappear.
There was no point to any of this if there wasn’t a reason for it in the narrative. And better yet, we have this scene in 15x08:
youtube
Where Dean is giving his approval. Why was this scene necessary to keep in the episode if there wasn’t going to be any follow through for what Dean was telling him? If Sam was going to give it all up once Dean was gone? Including Eileen?
Yes, we’ve seen Sam say over and over that he wouldn’t be hunting without Dean, but we’ve also seen him say confidently that he’s chosen to keep hunting, that this is his life, and we’ve seen his capabilities (think beginning of season 14 where we get a very hot leader!Sam & the incursion he led on the BMOL in the end of season 12 - they very purposely had Dean injured & sitting out of that fight btw, telling Sam “I saw you. You’re ready for this”, so it’s not just about needing to save Mary - x)
And I mean, look at this framing they also gave us in season 15:
This is a vision of the future that Chuck shows Sam in 15x09 if they succeed in defeating him right then - I’ve already talked about this in detail on previous posts but I’ll sum it up here really quickly
Sam and Eileen mirroring each other’s positions, to where their laptops almost touch
In the beginning of the scene, they were flirty
Cas comes in with 4 beers & hands them out (which brings Dean over who had been falling asleep in the arm chair behind Sam a minute before), Dean says “movie night?” to which Eileen says “I’ll make the popcorn” - why beer & popcorn? basically why the food/nourishment mention? why does beer make them all go “yeah” and then Eileen making popcorn is an added bonus to their movie night? could it be because Cas & Eileen are symbolic of the sustenance they provide to each brother? I mean...
Cas is standing on the same side as Eileen
The room is bright - does it have its own sun, for crying out loud? - yes, we know they are trying to show that this is a vision in a reality that is not yet set, but look at how many damn lights are on - we’re talking the table lamp, the lamp on a table no one is using, the wall lights that are turned to ultra high, the room light -- and why? is this meant to symbolize something close to hope for a happy domesticity featuring these 4 characters? especially since it’s right before Jody calls with the news of Claire’s death, that the monsters are starting to overrun the planet, and their future goes downhill? something to think about
all 4 of them are within/between the two brightest lights in the room
one more positioning note: look at where Dean and Cas are standing, yes within Sam & Eileen but look where they’re facing - had this vision come true, Cas would have the MOC and the confession scene in 15x18 wouldn’t have happened yet (or at all?), though they obviously have had the resolution they got in Purgatory in the same episode - isn’t it interesting that they’re facing Saileen, though? Knowing that Cas loves Dean (& that Dean loves Cas, if you don’t agree that’s cool, but that’s my take on his ambiguous ending to that whole thing) & Saileen was just being flirty & are facing each other, what does this tell us? This is where Dean & Cas are headed
Then of course we have this shot:
What’s happening here (at the end of 15x07):
Dean has just returned from the hunt where he ran into Lee, a look at what Dean himself could have become had he given up after finding out about Chuck’s manipulations (and possibly running into a former flame)
Sam almost died and he’s telling them all about the flashes he saw of where Chuck is
Cas and Eileen just dealt with Sergei (who left before Dean came back) to save Sam
framing details:
Dean and Cas standing apart (they still haven’t resolved what happened in 15x03 & we just had an awkward run in scene in the map table room before this scene) - Dean was relieved to see Cas but Cas is still unhappy with him (notice the crossed arms) and Dean’s arms at his side
Sam & Eileen are sitting together on the bed, close together - they are getting along & not fighting or have any unresolved issues between them
Eileen is on the same side as Cas
Sam & Eileen are in between the lights in the scene, Dean & Cas are not (& again, why the lights? did both lights on both nightstands need to be turned on or even the light on the desk at the bottom of the still? funny how this is two episodes before the shot above this one)
Now, 15x07 itself - let’s take a look at these particular scenes:
We not only have Cas interrupting Sam & Eileen like Sam tends to do with Dean & Cas, but we also have an introduction scene, again - “Cas, this is Eileen Leahy. Eileen, this is Cas” & notice how Cas & Eileen are standing in identical positions, facing each other, in the beginning (x)
Dean finds Sam & Eileen making breakfast after a night of margaritas & what does Dean say, since we all know Sam doesn’t always cut loose like this & that he even made real bacon? “I knew I liked you” - Sam & Eileen are on one side of the room, Dean is on the other, clearly saying he’s the third wheel here & he knows it “I’m going to take a drive, clear my head.” “Alone?” “Yeah, you know, you and Eileen, you guys are having fun. I don’t want to spoil that, you know?” (x)
And this is one of the best - Eileen threatens Sergei and who happily watches on? Cas - “Fix him or I kill you” Who then pulls out his own threat to get Sergei to save Sam, which he ends up doing - “Fix Sam. Now. Now” - this scene shows them working as a unit to help the brothers, isn’t it funny how Dean is MIA and Sam is out for the count but it’s up to Cas & Eileen to resolve the problem and deal with the jerk? Hmm... Notice Eileen’s expression when Cas tells Sergei what will happen if he doesn’t save Sam - And who did Cas call to get eyes on the person Sergei cares about? Alternate!Bobby & who did Dean & Sam used to call when needing assistance while hunting/dealing with a situation? Bobby, their surrogate father (x - 1:06)
And then of course we have these two scenes happen that echo each other, not only in dialogue but the setup:
“I know that was real” - 15x09 (x)
“Dean. You asked what about all of this is real. We are” - 15x02 (x)
Notice the common denominator here: Chuck & finding out he manipulated everything (not to mention the music swells in each scene)
And notice who leaves in each scene: Eileen & Dean
And who do we know Dean is most like?
And who do we know echos John at times?
Not only have we seen Eileen share some similarities to Mary: not just style and visual wise but also character wise. Both try to get Sam to relax a bit, both are strong and fierce hunters, both are used to hunting alone, both have their own hunting lives outside of Sam & Dean’s - I mean, there’s more there I’m sure but that’s just scratching the surface.
I even would venture to say Eileen has one interesting parallel to Dean himself. In the ending of 11x11 - Eileen talks about her plans after this: “What now? Law school?” “No, this is my life” - the same episode where Dean is starting to wonder if he wants more (or has been for a while but not 100% sure yet) and what has he said before? That hunting is his life, he doesn’t see a way out, etc.
There might even be one more parallel for her to Dean: both are killed by Hell Hounds and dragged to Hell
And who else has been to Hell? Sam
Then there’s 15x18:
Alternate! Charlie loses Stevie
Sam loses Eileen (note 0:33, Dean knows how much Eileen means to Sam, how worried he is & steps on it when he gets that look from Sam)
Dean loses Cas
Look at this framing:
Both Sam & Dean’s positions are mirrored down to their hands - Sam is sitting across from Charlie who just lost Stevie and how do the events go in the episode? First Stevie, then Eileen, then Cas - & what does Stevie talk about before disappearing? How to make the perfect eggs: low flame, don’t rush them - & what have Saileen and Destiel been considered? slow burn, not rushing
So we know that Sam cares for Eileen, may even be in love with her by this point (though we never get to hear either of them say it to each other, more on that later). Now that I broke all of that down on her story line, I want to go back to Jared’s quote, the ambiguous part. There’s a reason I included Destiel in the breakdown (I’m sure you’ve heard of the Destiel parallels before) because it has to do with ambiguity.
Because they had so heavily paralleled/mirrored Sam & Eileen with Dean & Cas - it’s no surprise that Saileen got dropped the moment Destiel did. Why? It could be a couple of reasons. One is the network interference (we all know about that by now one way or another) with the ending & Dean’s response to Cas either way, COVID (which we know is a bullshit excuse at this point, they could have had Sam sign back to Blurry Wife or had a photo of Eileen on the mantle and now we know is definitely not the case thanks to Jared’s statement), or because they were still set on killing Cas off permanently and didn’t want viewers upset that Dean didn’t get Cas but Sam got Eileen since they had finally confirmed Destiel & they remembered what happened back in season 7 when they tried to kill Cas off that time. Personally, I think it was the first option because if it had been the third, why have Sam have that ending? Or why not make Blurry Wife a redhead or blonde? Plus, you know who else is a brunette and is in the new show playing Walker’s wife?
And didn’t this feel like a Sam-centric episode once Dean was out of the way? So this should have showed us more of his life, closing up loose ends for him? Like Eileen or even Jody or Donna? But no, instead we got this below, Blurry Wife, Dean 2.0 & the Party City wig on clearance:
And isn’t it ironic that these guys end up being the big bad that finally get Dean Winchester in the same episode?
Vampmimes (it gets funnier every time I type it) - who cannot speak
Uh huh. Network interference on all ends.
But I digress. My point being that since Saileen paralleled Destiel so heavily up until 15x18 - because Destiel got dropped, unfortunately, they were going to drop Saileen, too. So Jared’s words of “I think it was very, very purposely ambiguous” make a lot of sense now, don’t they? Not only did Saileen & Destiel get dropped like hot potatos & kicked to the curb alongside any story or character development the boys had, but the show played down the middle, as much as they possibly could. To their great dismay (and so much more to ours), it didn’t work. Because it didn’t make sense. 15 years of story telling completely nuked in 1 episode will never work, in any show. No matter how great the acting is or the writing or anything.
Now let’s look at the rest of his quote: “and strangely I agreed with that” -- it’s not that strange, Jare - we get it, you’re on a new show now that you’re not only headlining but have EP credits on, you need to promote it, tow the network line, and sell it well - we get it (like I joke, but in all seriousness, I’m not mad at him - this is what actors have to do, PR & Hollywood are well oiled machines as we know and what are they oiled with 9 times out of 10? a massive amount of bullshit; plus he is able to work closer to home & be with his family, and as we all know, he wanted to be with them, which you can’t blame him - he was missing them, out of J2M, he seemed to bring it up the most - seriously, please don’t hate on this guy, he is a very good guy with a huge heart but he needs to keep working & take care of his family, so please don’t hate on him - and we all thought CW snipers had lasers trained on Misha and Jensen, but did anyone think to check on Jared?)
Oh and I just want to mention, we know Jared is not the type of actor who just reads the script and mails it in like he said he was this last season. Does anyone remember how he’s talked about in the past how he struggled with leaving certain scenes on set and not bringing them home? Which funnily enough he mentions in this new article about Walker, too. So, what changed the narrative so to speak for Jared? Walker.
And here’s the kicker: “I feel like a lot of what Sam did after Dean died was almost in honor of what Dean would have wanted, and Dean would not have wanted his little brother to marry Eileen, Ruby, someone in the life.” -- okay, no disrespect to Jared at all, he’s been playing the character for fifteen years, he knows the character inside and out, he knows Kripke, he knows the writers, he was in the writers’ room when they pitched the finale, he knows Sam’s journey the best (outside of the writers)...but I call bullshit. Bullshit meaning that is not what the narrative was telling us in season 15.
Did Dean want Sam to find a way out of the hunting life eventually? Sure. Dean wanted to get himself out eventually, too. He died while he was trying to do that even (see Miracle, the job application on his desk for reference). (and seriously who knew a tetanus shot was required to become a hunter? I will never not be okay with that dumpster fire) But Dean liked Eileen, and more importantly, he liked Eileen for Sam.
Why else did we get an intro scene to the big bro when she was brought into the series? Why did we get Dean giving him the approval, twice, once implied and once explicitly? So to say that Dean wouldn’t want him to marry someone in the life...Dean never said that. The only thing he said was that he wanted Sam to get out himself. Now, would that cause difficulties in the relationship? Sure. Especially if vamp stunt guy #4 who killed your big bro with a big ass nail happened to steal your wallet, found your address, and comes a knocking while you’re trying to have a nice Sunday dinner with the fam. But other than that, Dean never said in his death scene “Sammy, don’t you dare hook up with another hunter, you hear me?” As a matter of fact, listen to what Dean says in this 8x14 scene regarding Sam’s ending: “I’m a grunt, Sam. You’re not. You’ve always been the brains of this operation” “I want you to get out. I want you to have a life. Become a Men of Letters, whatever. You with a wife, and kids, and grandkids, living ‘till you’re fat and bald and chugging Viagra.”
And lo and behold: this interview with Jared (& Jensen and Misha) didn’t age well (x) I’m thinking this is before J2 sat in the writers’ room & found out the ending that had been planned
And Ruby? Who has been dead for 11 years? Who Cas was definitely not going to get out of the Empty? Who betrayed Sam by tricking him into opening Lucifer’s prison in season 4 by breaking the final seal by killing Lilith? So Sam’s on The Supernatural Bachelor now? - nah bro, this is simply a placation - think about it - why mention Eileen in relation to Sam’s ending since in the finale, she wasn’t a part of it? And since he mentioned Eileen, he needed to mention another name to keep it from going into that topic. Guaranteed.
Plus let’s not forget this little nugget about Cas’ ending (x) and how they’re not supposed to talk about the original ending -- and again if COVID is really the reason or this is how they intended it to be all along (meaning Dean’s ending, Sam’s ending, Destiel, or Saileen) then why not just come out and say it? The show’s over. Sure, there may be a project a few years from now or a reboot, but what’s the big secret?
And once again, I’ll say the one word answer we all know is it by now: Walker
So, to sum up this very long post, Saileen was real and they were definitely sailing that ship into port. Otherwise, once she left in 15x09, they could have kept it at that. They didn’t have to have Sam losing her in 15x18, she didn’t need to be the one Sam was texting, it could have been Jody or Claire or someone else they knew. But no, they chose for it to be Eileen for a reason. And they changed the episode name from “The Truth” to “Despair” for a reason. And the minute Cas disappears from Dean’s life, so does Eileen from Sam’s...for a reason. It’s a shitty reason but it happened. And now we pretty much know why.
‘This has gotta go, fellas’
‘Goddammit, this will have to go, too. They’re too closely connected.’
‘Sorry honey, but we’ve got to make sure we hit the ground running on this one’
‘We’ve only got two months from the finale and that’s not enough time to build a traditional viewership from scratch’. We’ll have to promo the hell out of this one just to catch up. But yeah, those are our notes.’
‘There, that’s better. Good ol’ brotherly love.’
‘So now viewers will know what to expect if they tune in. It’ll be the perfect transition for them.’
‘So no romance, you hear?’
‘Perfect.’
.
.
.
.
But peeps, don’t let Jared’s statement/interview fool you. This was endgame:
It was slowly layered in early on. And this amazing bamf character deserved so much better than what she got:
tldr; Saileen is legit but they dropped it - they disappeared Eileen from the narrative (not saying it’s okay or right, I’m just stating what we know they did), Jared’s statement needs to be taken with a grain of salt, several thousand grains actually, & CW can take that huge salt mine and...well...you know...
Saileen was beautiful. Eileen was a badass. Instead Sam got a bad wig and a stand-in for the brother he missed, waiting all of ten minutes to die so they can be reunited.
Thank you for coming to my long Ted talk.

You pull into the only open space and put your car in park with a sigh. You overestimated the drive time and you’re nearly half an hour early, but that’s not what has you so exasperated.
Your phone has been pinging nonstop for the last hour, making it very difficult to follow the GPS to your destination. You pull it out of the dashboard holder and flip through the texts, barely skimming the words. They all say the same thing anyway.
Your friends think you’re nuts for even coming here, but really, what other choice do you have? Your school, with the lack of forethought only college administrators could be capable of, admitted more students than it could house this year and gave priority to incoming freshmen. So instead of snagging the nice on-campus apartment you were hoping for, you now have to find somewhere off campus to rent. It sucks, and it’s making the lead-up to this term into one giant headache. Who can afford an off-campus apartment in their sophomore year? Certainly not you, not even with twenty hours a week of work study.
You can’t ask your parents for the money; you know they can’t afford it. You live just far enough away that staying at home is out of the question. And if you add any more work hours, you know you’ll fall behind in classes. That could lose you your tuition scholarship, and that? Is not an option. It’s too late to apply for any scholarships or additional loans, too, so. That leaves you here. At the Tipsy Cow Cafe in Lebanon, Kansas, hoping to snag the dirt cheap apartment you found buried in the student housing forum.
Even if it is an hour’s drive away from campus and your landlords are three middle-aged white men, a.k.a. the most likely demographic for serial killers.
You sigh again, flipping through the last of the texts and then turning off your phone screen, remembering your best friend’s worried gaze when you showed her the forum post.
“One bedroom, access to full bath and kitchen. Common areas shared with…” She’d looked up at you with wide eyes. “Are you crazy?! You can’t live with a bunch of old dudes. That’s so creepy.”
“How is it creepy?” You’d said, though you already saw her point.
“This place is like fifty miles away! In the middle of nowhere. No, more like the outskirts of the middle of nowhere, near some kind of industrial farm complex? And these guys just happen to have an open room to offer a college student? For that cheap?”
“Yeah,” you’d said defensively. “So?”
“So do you wanna be on Unsolved Mysteries? ‘Cause this is how you get your very own episode of Unsolved Mysteries.”
You thought she was being melodramatic at the time, but now? Now you’re an hour away from campus with only 2 bars of cell service, and you’re starting to wonder if she had a point.
But you’re already here, and at least the meeting spot is a public place, right? That has to speak to good intentions. You hope.
Or it could be their way of lulling me into a false sense of security so they can serial murder me later.
You immediately wish you’d never thought of that.
You sit in the car for another twenty minutes, tapping nervously on your steering wheel and debating whether to just drive back to campus. On the one hand, you’re greatly in favor of not being murdered. You can take the ‘I told you so’ from your friends. On the other hand, you can swallow your pride easily enough, but the gas costs? That’s another story. And you already know you aren’t going to get an apartment cheaper than this one. It’s so cheap it even makes the gas costs from driving back and forth worth it, especially if you only drive into campus on the days you have to be in class. You might even be able to eat something other than ramen and Easy Mac a few times a month, if you’re really frugal. Which’ll be easy to manage, you think, considering you won’t be surrounded by a bunch of people who just got old enough to buy their own booze.
It’s a good idea. It is. As long as your prospective landlords aren’t serial killers.
You take a deep breath. You grab the filled out lease from your passenger seat and your keys from the ignition, suddenly thankful for the kitty cat keychain your mom got you for Christmas last year. Then you get out of your car and go inside. If they seem creepy in person you figure you can always just leave without giving them the lease.
You walk inside the cafe and look around, wondering if they’re already here. Only a few tables are occupied at this time of day: one near the door by a redhead glued to her laptop, one in the middle by two older men sharing a plate of french fries who look like they might be on a date, and one near the back by two other guys, one who looks to be in his twenties and one who looks older. Thirties, maybe?
The last two look up at the jingle of the bells above the door when you walk in, so you head that way.
“Mr. Kline?” You approach the table with your hand outstretched, the kitty cat keychain tucked safely out of sight—but within reach—in your pocket. Just in case.
The older of the two stands and offers you his hand to shake. You take it, a little stunned as you crane your neck to look up at him. He’s very tall.
“You’re here about the room rental?” He asks, voice quiet and friendly. You can only nod, still a little thrown.
“Thanks for meeting us here,” he says, gesturing for you to sit down. He rejoins the younger man on the other side of the table. You sit, sliding the folder with the lease in it into the empty spot beside you.
“This is my son Jack,” Mr. Kline says, gesturing at the younger one, who gives you a sunny smile.
“Hello,” he says, waving like a little kid. You find yourself smiling back. He’s very cute.
“So, you’re looking for a place to stay while you attend school. Hastings?”
“Yes, sir,” you say. You haven’t been an adult long enough yet not to think of anyone older than you as sir or ma’am. But Mr. Kline laughs and waves a hand at you, as though shooing your words away.
“Call me Sam, please,” he says, still in that quiet voice. “Do you have any allergies? We have a dog.”
“Oh, uh...no, no allergies.” You don’t mention that you’re a vegetarian, because it’s not really an allergy and these guys look like the type who make eating red meat a vital part of their identity. Anyway, you’ll be making your own food, so it’s not like it should matter.
“Do you have a reliable way to get to and from campus every day? We have a car, but we travel a lot and keep weird hours, so you’ll need a way to get to places on your own.”
“I have a car,” you say. “It’s pretty reliable, at least so far. If it breaks down on me, I have AAA.”
“Great,” he says. “Do you have any questions for us?”
“Um.” You say. Almost stop yourself. Then decide what the hell. “So it’s you two and one other guy?”
“What? Oh, actually,” Mr. Kline—Sam—looks embarrassed. “Jack doesn’t stay at the b—house, at least not all the time. He’s in school, too. Most of the time it’s just me and my brother and our...friend.”
Something about the way he says friend pings weirdly for you, but you push past it for now.
“In the pictures the place looked kind of…” you stop, biting your lip. You don’t want to insult the guy’s house, but frankly? It looked like a large prison cell. Bare walls, bare floors, all cement.
Sam seems to know what you mean.
“Yeah,” he says with a slight grimace. “It’s...an older building. The original owners weren’t big on decorating. But the rooms are pretty big, and they lock from the inside...believe me, that’s a good thing when you live with my brother, who still thinks putting itching powder in my sock drawer is top-tier comedy. And you can decorate your room however you want. Can’t be that much worse than a dorm room, unless they’ve gotten a lot nicer since I was in school.”
“Did you go to Hastings?” You ask without really thinking.
“Oh, uh...no. I...Stanford,” he says, sounding embarrassed. Which is weird, because. Stanford? Not something to be embarrassed about.
You decide to add that to the column labeled “weird, possibly a serial killer.”
“What’s your favorite part of school?” The younger guy—was it Jack?—pipes up, sounding like he just couldn’t hold in the question any longer. You think for a second, not quite looking at him.
“I like my classes,” you say finally. “I like getting to set my own schedule, too.” You also like what it represents: the chance to get up, to get out. To not live and die in the same town for the rest of your life, never seeing the rest of the world, never knowing anything beyond the county line.
But you’re not gonna say that to a couple of strangers. You clear your throat and shift in your seat a little. This is a very weird housing interview.
“I like the classes, too,” Jack says. “And getting to be around other people.” The way he says it makes it sound like he didn’t meet other people at all before college. Homeschooled?
Another tick in the weird column.
Sam clears his throat.
“So...you said in your email the rent works for you. Utilities are included in that, and the wi-fi’s covered. We have a washer and dryer you can use, no quarters needed, we just rotate out who gets to use it on what day. Parking is free but uncovered. There’s no landline, so if you need to make a call…”
“I have a cell phone,” you say. Utilities and wi-fi included? Free laundry and parking? This really is too good to be true.
Unfortunately, it’s also too good to pass up. No college apartment has free laundry, free parking, and free wi-fi. Certainly not one you could ever afford.
You reach for the folder beside you without fully realizing you’re doing it.
“I printed the lease you sent and filled it out,” you hear yourself say. You slip the lease out of its folder and hand it to him across the table. He takes it, looking faintly surprised.
“Great,” he says, scanning it quickly. “Okay, this looks good.” He looks back at you over the top of the lease.
“Any other questions for us?”
You shake your head.
“Okay,” he stands, offers you the hand that isn’t holding the lease.
“Well, I’ll talk it over with my brother and we’ll get back to you by the end of the week. Does that work?”
“Sure.” The height thing really is disorienting. If this guy decides to murder you, you think distantly, no amount of kitty cat keychains is going to help. There’s too damn much of him to stab, and all the vital organs are out of reach.
Okay, that might be exaggerating. A little.
Not much.
You tune back in just in time to realize Sam has said his goodbyes and is now awkwardly waiting for you to walk away.
“Uh. Bye,” you say intelligently, and then hightail it out of there.
---
So?” Sam approaches the table at the center of the restaurant, where Charlie has just joined Dean and Cas. “What d’you guys think?”
“I scanned the cell phone when they came in,” Charlie says. “Didn’t find anything weirder than about a billion text messages from friends saying you guys are probably serial killers.”
“Well, they aren’t completely wrong about that,” Cas deadpans. Dean elbows him.
“Hey! We’re not a bunch of mouth-breathers with mommy issues who go around killing co-eds for fun. We hunt monsters, that’s different.”
“Yeah,” Charlie mutters. “You definitely don’t have any mommy issues.” Dean shoots her a glare, which she ignores.
“I didn’t sense anything,” Jack says, appearing at Sam’s elbow. “Just a regular human.”
“School email checks out, too,” Charlie adds. “Social media is totally normal. Dare I say...basic? Though I'm shocked a single person somehow managed to have all your terrible tastes in music combined. Lizzo, Van Halen, Taylor Swift…”
“Hey,” Dean says, gesturing threateningly with a ketchup-covered french fry. “Taylor Swift is the voice of a generation.”
Sam barely holds back a snort. Cas looks at Dean with confusion clear on his face.
“I believe Taylor Swift is part of Claire’s generation, and I am fairly certain Claire would not agree.”
“Yeah, well...I’m pretty sure you’ve never been in the car with her when ‘Picture to Burn’ comes on.”
“No,” Cas concedes. “I haven’t.”
“Anyway,” Sam cuts in, hoping to bring the conversation back to the topic at hand. “So not a monster, not a demon. Aside from being a Swiftie, is there any reason we shouldn’t rent out the room?”
“None I can think of,” Dean says casually.
They start to pack up their things while Cas goes to pay for the fries.
“Okay,” Sam says. “I’ll call back on the way home."
When they’re almost to the car, Dean calls out.
“Cas gets shotgun!”
“Dude,” Sam says, all wide-eyed betrayal.
“Sorry Sammy,” Dean says, holding the passenger door open for his angel. “Disrespect Taylor, get banished to the back seat.”
You’re still on the road when the call comes in. You answer one-handed and put it on speaker.
---
“Hello?”
“Hi, this is Sam Kline calling about the room rental.”
“Hi Sam,” you say. Your heart is suddenly pounding, though with excitement or trepidation, you aren’t sure.
“I talked it over with my brother, and the room’s yours if you want it. What’s your move-in date?”
You just barely manage to hold in a squeal. Excitement it is, then.
“September 17th,” you say, voice passably calm.
“Great,” Sam says. “We’ll be sure someone’s home to show you around and get you a key. See you then!”
“Sounds good,” you say. Then, impulsively: “Thank you.”
“No problem,” Sam says. “Bye!”
He hangs up before you can say it back, but you’re too happy to care. You have housing that won’t break your budget, and now you can focus on other things. Like affording all your textbooks, and what to do if your landlords do turn out to be serial killers.
And what to tell your friends, who are still blowing up your phone.

same anon again, I feel like mishalecki is kind of like samstiel/gabriel x sam, it's something more so that sam/jared are not left out, like mishalecki is more just because theres cockles, and why can't misha have something like jensen where he's great friends with both costars? Sastiel is a different story, but I think mishalecki was more of a thing because of the emergence of cockles cause like I said before - it's more of a working relationship rather than an actual friendship. Sastiel is more just in-laws, and gabriel/sam is more something because there's destiel, and why can't sam have an angel love interest. J2M is just being inclusive of either Misha or Jared. I've never really seen mishalecki as a real friendship, just cause they never seem to have hung out outside of set and Jared seems to bully Misha a bit so, it's like mmmmm no thanks. I've always had my thoughts on Jared, but it's interesting to see most of it come to light now that spn is over......
Yeah. I’ve always thought he was okay.
But like. Then I realized just how he actually was on set towards other people and like… that’s not okay.
So, yeah. I guess I can see where you’re coming from on these.
I never understood Sabriel. But I never really paid much attention to Sam. 😳 I mean, overall yeah. But not in like detail oriented way. If you know what I mean.
But I loved Saileen bc I loved Eileen. Lol.
Mishalecki was definitely just for the banter. I don’t really see much more to it. It was like an “I have to work with him and play nice” kind of thing. Which sucks because he was not nice to Misha.
