:/ but to be fair quebec is more conservative than idk... montréal (so if the author was a montréalais that could explain esp since its just a pretty wide spread idea in mtl that quebec is filled with racists) but its still... yea

yeah, obviously it is, but in my experience it’s much, much less racist than, say, SagLac, where I grew up. I also saw a lot of change happening in the last few years! (I also think now is just not the time, not so soon after, not this way, and definitely not - anything about this tbh)

(one of the things that pissed me off the most last elections - the way the districts are divided are very unfair to a lot of areas. For exemple - Limoilou, where I used to live, is one of the youngest, poorest and most diverse areas, but it was joined with Beauport, a middle class white area whose population is getting a lot older. even though the two neighbourhoods are not even next to each other. the difference when I was canvassing was huge and despite all our efforts, Conservatives won the district. :( the gerrymandering is definitely a factor here.).
