Okay! I had a thought yesterday!

We all know that our poor BW fic writers (and all the other fic writers, really) are starving for comments. It’s hard to keep making stuff with no feedback + encouragement. So BW fanfiction comments Saturday?

If you want, rb this post with your fic (or one you think is underrated or something!) and I’ll try to read + comment on as many as I can today? I might not be able to get through everything, but I’ll do my best!

Everyone is free to join in the commenting and stuff of course, and I’ll rb this post again with the fics so ppl can see.

[ Chapter Seven - Ramasse-Moi, Quand Tu Voudras ]

The bright, mid-afternoon sun beamed down across the campus as Antoine and Evka walked side by side to class.

“You’re pulling my leg,” Evka said, suspicious.

“I assure you I am not,” Antoine insisted.

“A werewolf?”

“Yes!”

“Those don’t exist.”

“As far as you know.” He raised his brows. He had been describing to Evka the thrilling tale of a pack of werewolves that had once terrorized a small town in the Frostbacks before a couple of brave Grey Wardens had appeared to save the day. It was a tale best told on a chilly evening beside a campfire, with warm coffee, but Antoine had done his best to make it entertaining anyway.

“I’m from Orzammar, not Faerun,” said Evka. “I’m pretty sure those villagers were being killed by a perfectly normal wolf.”

“Ah, but how do you explain the sightings? Dead men walking about, changed but recognizable? Tracks made by a creature that couldn’t possibly exist?”

“Demons,” Evka said. “It’s always somehow demons in your surface stories.”

“You don’t have legends of werewolves and curses in Orzammar?”

She scoffed. “No. We have rock wraiths, and those are much scarier.”

“What is supposed to be frightening about a bunch of rocks?” It was Antoine’s turn to be suspicious.

Evka’s eyes lit up with mischief as she grinned. “They’re dwarves who were so corrupt that even the Stone rejected them, dooming them to wander the depths, undying, forever.”

“Wandering does not sound so bad.”

“They also snatch up naughty children who don’t listen to their elders and cause cave-ins.”

“Ah, I see the problem now.” He nodded.

“Miners are superstitious.”

“So are Orlesians.”

They had reached the campus courtyard now and paused beneath the shade of an old magnolia tree. This was where they should part ways, each to their own buildings, but neither moved to do so. Antoine gazed down at Evka, at the soft braids falling over her shoulders and the way she squinted in the dappled sunlight. A cool breeze caught a stray strand of her hair and sent it curling across her cheek. He longed to tuck it away again, but he caught himself and cleared his throat.

“Spend time with me.”

“That’s your pitch?” she asked, looking at him with her eyebrows raised. “Just, ‘spend time with me’?”

“Yes,” he grinned crookedly. “Spend a little time with me before the world ends.”

“The world isn’t ending.” Evka rolled her eyes.

He slowly took her hand, leaning closer. “Not so long as you are with me.”

She snorted and pressed her other hand over her mouth to hide a smile.
