genuinly no surprise akira 1) choose to go with cain&co rather than drummond when they first arrived in that world 2) continues to choose the wizards (their friends). like. ofc ure going to go with the ppl who not only asked for ur help rather than demand it, but also took the time to understand that you dont understand whats going on & explained the gist of it to u. i keep coming back to it, but those akira lines about 'they made me feel welcomed & at ease. they waited for me, they greeted me, they picked up things ive dropped' & how at ease they feel about standard everyday things such as 'this wizard cant decide between olive oil or jam for their bread. that wizard is fine with burnt parts'. the recent-ish figaro cards training ep too (the mixer one?) where he asks what akira likes about him & akira cant decide where to start & then goes on & on about things similiar to earlier points and i think its all so...T_T ofc? ppl paying attention to u feels good & i feel its natural to be drawn to the ppl who do so as well, even more so during difficult points in ur life. and akira has those couple lines about not always wanting to work in groups & sometimes wanting to live completely alone outside of society && while i do think those sentiments comes up when bad stuff happens, its....yknow..........together with the other stuff they think sometimes.....

tldr no wonder akira chooses the wizards. i think the sage role initially helps with it cuz it forces a connection + we need ur power. but cain immediately calls akira by name & oz multiple times makes notes of the importance of ur own name to akira. akira puts in the effort to try to understand everyone (even if theyre wrong sometimes). 'if those three saw u cry they might get angry & start a fight w oz again' 'i dont think thats true but its fun to think about' ID ALSO CHOOSE THEM AGAIN AND AGAINNNN uuuu i think its also so?T_T? soul-healing? heart-healing?T_T? ofc akira grows fond of them when theyre met with love........'u might be disappointed in me, but i hope we can become friends' guuuuhhHhhHh it sets the tone for everything SO well
