First ‘I Love You’ - Ichigang/Y7

Tried to keep these a bit shorter this time. Also I am halfway through Infinite Wealth so happy to start taking requests for IW characters too, although I might not get to some of them straight away depending on the character, with me not having finished the game yet. 

Not too bothered about spoilers, but would prefer to avoid them if possible when receiving asks 💕

Ichiban:

Ichi would be the one to say it first, and also he’d say it fairly early on in the relationship too. Man falls hard and quick. He wouldn’t just say it either, he’d more shout it, partly because he’s so eager to tell you, and also because he’s so nervous. His proclamation of love would accidentally come out louder than intended.

He’d likely have planned a date around it, intending to make it a special day by taking you out, and declaring his love for you then. He would have a clear scenario in his head of how he would want it to go. He’d picture himself being all cool and smooth as he drops the first ‘I love you’. Of course, as mentioned, he would be neither cool nor smooth.

He would be so happy if you said it back to him. He would be grinning so widely, and would scoop you up in to the biggest hug ever. Wholesome, happy Ichi.

Nanba:

You would be the first to say it, as Nanba would probably be too nervous to do so himself. He would almost be afraid of being rejected, despite already being in a relationship with you. Some days, he probably still can’t quite believe that you’re with him. He often has thoughts of low self-worth.

He would be so surprised when you say ‘I love you’ for the first time. His eyebrows would just shoot up, and he’d look so taken aback. He would recover quickly though, and say it right back, whilst wearing a happy little smile, and his cheeks holding the faintest of blushes. He’d feel so warm and content inside.

It wouldn’t be said very often going forward. Maybe if one of you were going away for a while on a trip, or if he’s about to pull off some dangerous stuff with the Ichigang, then you’d probably swap an ‘I love you’.

Adachi:

Adachi would say it first, although he’d wait quite a while into the relationship before telling you. He’s had a few longer-term relationships in the past that never worked out, so he would want to avoid laying his feelings out, only for it to come crashing down in the end.

He’d probably tell you over a few drinks at a bar. He wouldn’t be drunk, but the relaxed setting and the slight alcoholic buzz would loosen him up a little. He would just come out and say it, and he’d seem pretty confident and chilled in saying it too. He adores you and wants you to know it.

When you say it back, Adachi would just grin widely, his face lighting up almost. He’s never been one for long-term relationships, they just never seemed to work out for him. It’s different with you though, and he can just picture himself growing old (older…) with you.

Saeko:

Saeko would say it first, and she would be very drunk. She would mean every word though. At first, you may brush it aside and think she’s just saying it in a drunken way, but the next morning she would bring it up again.

She’d start by telling you that you don’t have to say it back if you’re not feeling the same way yet, and would then tell you that she loves you, and that she meant it when she said it the previous night. She wouldn’t be particularly nervous telling you, but she’d secretly be hoping you’ll say it back, hoping that you’re both on the same page in the relationship.

She’d give you a tight hug once you say it back, a small smile on her face. She wouldn’t treat it as a huge deal, but is very happy that you feel the same way.

It would become a nightly ritual, telling each other that you love each other every night, before heading to bed. If you two don’t live together just yet, you would exchange ‘I love you’s’ by text every night instead.

Joon-Gi:

You would say it first.

This man is clueless. Though he’d be a bit more accustomed to dating after being with you for a while, he’s likely never had anyone tell him they love him romantically. He’d straight up just say ‘thank you’, and that would be that.

Well, until he tells Seonhee. She’d think the whole thing was rather sweet at first, until she asks how he responded, and he tells her that he just thanked you. She would just be staring at him with fire in her eyes, and would ask Joon-Gi if he feels the same way. He’d probably think first, before confirming that yes, he does love you. Seonhee would 100% scold him for not saying it back despite feeling the same way, and for essentially leaving you hanging. She would send him straight back out to go and fix his blunder.

Cue a rather flustered Joon-Gi turning up on your doorstep, blurting out a ‘I love you too’ as you open the door. He would apologise profusely for his error, to which you’d just brush it off casually, telling him he’s not obliged to say it back. He does mean it though, he really does love you, he’s just an oblivious fool at times.

Zhao:

Again, you’d be the one to say it first. You’d probably blurt it out without thinking, just a casual passing comment like ‘this is why I love you’, or ‘you’re lucky I love you’, if he’s being a little shit.

He is gonna smirk as soon as he hears you say it, his eyes glinting mischievously, and so begins the teasing. He wouldn’t tease you in a mean way, but he would have some fun with it, more so to save face, as he’d be a bit taken aback and flustered, but still pleased. It’s probably not something he’s been told often. He’d be like ‘what was that? You love me?’, nudging into your arm gently and calling you cute, as you get more and more flustered.

He wouldn’t tease you for too long, and would save you from becoming too embarrassed by telling you he loves you too. He’d say it so casually, as if he hasn’t just teased the fuck out of you for saying it a few moments earlier.

He’d say it pretty frequently going forward, not seeing it as a huge deal. He would just pop up randomly and say it, before going back to whatever it is he’s doing.

Remember when I just couldn't use Zhao in Like a Dragon because I started grinding too early and he ended up being lvl 32 when the others were lvl 50+ when I got him?

SAEKO BABYGIRL I'M SO SORRY. I was doing so well with 3 people even without drink link abilities and I was having so much fun leveling up jobs and planning movesets that this just... happened.

I'm gonna have to whip her into shape asap, I don't wanna do the rest of the Kiryu section with 3 people ;-; damn.

This menu makes me wanna bust, ngl. The UI in this game has been INSANE in general. They put their entire RGG Studiussy into this stuff.

YEAH, HI SAEKO! I'm sorry I kind of went ahead and did my grinding without you. IN MY DEFENSE - I thought getting a 4th team member would take a lot longer and that they'd be at least lvl 43. I don't know why.

Lesbians? In my Infinite Wealth? Like... come on. Even Kiryu is clueing in that something's up. There is tension there.

Maybe I'm just really desperate to get some major representation for my fellow lesbians, idk.

But I also dread thinking about the scenario of this happening and Kiryu getting confirmation that he's 100% gonna die. and him then slowly dying when he had finally started looking forward to what life has to offer. It's definitely something I can see RGG Studios doing, and I hate the idea.

Alright, I wanna write a bit about Garouden the Way of the Lone Wolf, because since watching a few days ago it hasn't left my brain, but also because i've seen a good bit of negative reactions to it's story so far, particularly the ending.

Now im not going to say that the plot of the show is particularly deep or super well constructed. The whole thing has a pretty fast pace to manage it's entire story in the 8 episode runtime, with a lot of characters and scenario's being left pretty threadbare as a result.

That said, I did really enjoy how the story set things up, full of familiar and expected things from a "dude show" like this, with it's big burly men beating the shit out of each other because that's just what men do setup, only to then lead in a wholly different and even tragic direction. Fujimaki is set up in every way to be basically your standard macho badass. Ruggedly handsome, ludacriously built, tortured loner, the works. Hell, the first thing we see him do on screen is fight a bear and kill it barehanded. Him being in run from the law for an act which seems pretty bad, killing a burglar who sexually assaulted a woman he loves, but could be seen as justified or at least righteous by most, as well as him being the last student of a legendary martial artists whose style is consider by some one of the strongest in the world. With all these elements one can already see the standard course for a story like this. The odds are stacked against him at all times, but with his awesome fists and big balls Juzo fights his way up to be the strongest, getting back his love Saeko and honoring his recently lost and shamed master.

But instead... Going into spoilers here. Anyone who hasn't watched the show yet, it's on Netflix and only 8 episodes. Statistically you aren't likely to like it as much as me, but I would reccomend giving it a shot.

Instead, Juzo fights his way through an underground bloodsport tournament and wins. He's right there, at the finish line, being given an out from the crimes he's charged with, so he could after a bit return to his previous life, back to the woman dear to him and to his master. But he can't, because he let loose the beast in him once more, and he can't quell it anymore, not even for the relatively short time needed to clear his name and get him his freedom anymore.

In the last few episode, all the expectations of the sort of stock martial arts badass are broken apart one by one.

Juzo's master? Not a wise old master who espouses peace despite his strength, but a somewhat frustrated and even bitter old man for having learned to perfect a killing art all his life, but being unable to every utilize to it's fullest against other humans.

Saeko, the love interest? She wasn't afraid of Juzo for the crime he had commited, but rather was only glad that he killed the man before her, which scared Juzo into running away in the first place. She's revealed to only care about the strength of men, rather them as a whole, and chooses to be with a man stronger then Juzo, seemingly holding no affection to Juzo at all anymore.

His fighting style thaught to no one but him by his master, in particular the legendary technique that he has mastered? His master just takes on other students who are about as strong as Juzo, and they master the said legendary technique in fairly short order.

And lastly, in the finale, Juzo returns to fight. It's a pretty contradictory fight on his part, as he claims to be fighting for the sake of preserving his style by seeing if Himekawa is worthy of baring it, even as his master tells to his face that he already chose him, and Saeko flat out tells to Juzo that she's chosen to be with the man instead of Juzo. It feels like Juzo is the only one who thinks that winning the match will solve anything or give any kind of closure, and frankly it all comes off as rather phony. He just wants to fight. And then he loses, because Himekawa is just stronger then him.

The place where the beasts duke it out mercilessly ruined Juzo, just like he at the start of the series thought it would if he ever let his loose on human beings again. And what makes it worse is that everyone around him wanted him to return to it, just because he is strong. The underworld tournament management people forced him to take part, Saeko promised him that they would marry if Juzo was the strongest man in the world, and even the cop who is after Juzo really only wanted a rematch with him from back when Juzo first beat him. Seemingly everyone but Juzo believe he belongs among the beasts as one of them, and when he return there it ruins him. That final battle is awesome, with everyone in awe watching and cheering, but it's a tragedy from only Juzo's perspective.

There's a glimmer of hope, of sorts though. Matsuo does invite Juzo back to among the strong once he's done his time. He truly belongs there now, for better or for worse.

It's good. it's entirely different from the philosophy about martial arts and "being strong" then present in the Itagaki Garouden and indeed most martial arts manga and anime, but it was refreshing, and im sad that most people seem to be reacting very negatively to it, because I suspect they just wanted the more standard rise to the top story and just have a strong aversion to a more tragic ending. It's some of that "subversion" shit that people like to throw out to say that a show they like is better then most because it goes against expectations, which is usually a snooty and pretentions dickhead stance, expect in this show case (because I like this one).

After he gets out of jail though, the first thing Juzo better go do is go for a trip. He has a bartender gal, an old monk and his pal Joze who are all waiting to see him again!

1: Him scoring, to his total surprise, with a *smoking* hot babe one night, both of them fucking like crazy until the bed breaks, then her leaving in a hurry in the morning. After that it’s just a memory that makes him feel a bit like he’s the player he pretends to be. But then he fins out some triad family is in town for a talk with the yakuza and he gets given the bullshit boring job of escorting the spoiled airhead daughter of one of the higher ups around town for a week or two to keep her busy.

And it’s the girl.

2: Just him hiring Saeko as bodyguard and thinking how lucky is to have a babe like that around. And kind of hoping people assume he’s sleeping with her.

But then he finds out HOW lucky he is when she turns out to be REALLY into him.

Loving the thought of the first scenario with him going “THEY’RE GIVING ME FUCKIN’ BABY SITTING DUTY!? I RUN A CASINO, NOT A MACDONALDS PLAY PLACE!” and just being the grouchiest bastard alive until meeting her (again)-

saying majima and kiryu is cheap because the video clips we get in the karaoke cutscenes speak for themselves (majima's 'as long as you're happy' has footage of makoto, kiryu's pride from despair gets back up vocals from majima and clips of them throughout their lives) and the lyrics line up to those scenarios

my personal favorite examples come from like a dragon & infinite wealth, because zhao only sings songs ichiban also sings in both games, and in saeko's infinite wealth solo "awake" she ends it by kissing an alternate version of herself on the mouth. come on now. 🌈

personal LAD:8 wish fulfillment scenarios ranked from lowest to highest probability of occurrence, Majima-specific:

3) it is revealed that the person who Kiryu proposed to was, in fact, Majima, who rejected him for one of any number of reasons (probably the death faking thing lbr). Hijinks ensue. by the end of the game the two of them plus Saejima are getting married as a triad in Hawaii, in a sequence ripped shamelessly from Mamma Mia! (2008) in which Ichiban had already planned a wedding for himself and Saeko but now understands that they are not ready, and Kiryu doesn’t want to waste the venue and opportunity.

2) in a serendipitous turn of events Majima runs into Makoto, who has been living in Hawaii since the end the YK2 Majima saga. Her husband has since passed in a tragic boating accident. Splish splash, doctor overboard, you get the picture. They get married in a scenario ripped straight from Mamma Mia! (2008) in which Ichiban had already planned a wedding for himself and Saeko but now understands that they are not ready, and Majima doesn’t want to waste the venue and opportunity. Saejima moves into the in-law suite in their home and gets into gardening.

1) Majima and Saejima are near-completely absent from most of the game but pop up in one scene in Hawaii where they run into the party, who didn’t know they were there. They are both conspicuously wearing wedding bands, but nobody notices or comments on it.

it is very important in scenarios 2 and 3 that the wedding sequence is ripped straight from modern masterpiece Mamma Mia! (2008). The ABBA is negotiable but it would be nice if they at least threw in a style parody with questionable lyrics

If the ROs could have any superpower, but only for the purpose of pulling off hilarious pranks, what would it be?

Mionii/Miokai - Anything with illusions! they could create illusions that make it look like the castle is haunted or make objects appear and disappear to confuse the poor workers just trying to do their jobs. Just for the sake of freaking people out , out of boredom. The castle can be pretty lame sometimes.

Saeko - Super strength: This might seem like an odd choice, but it would give the Saeko the ability to pull off some pretty impressive stunts. She could lift houses, move heavy objects, and create all sorts of absurd scenarios that would leave people scratching their heads.

Akiyo - This power would allow the person to create seemingly innocuous calligraphy or written notes that, when read, would cause ridiculous and unexpected outcomes to occur.

For example, the person could write a note that, when read by the intended target, causes them to temporarily speak in a high-pitched voice, or to break out into spontaneous dance. They could also create calligraphic designs that, when viewed by someone, cause them to see everything upside-down for a short period of time.

The key to the humor of these pranks would be the element of surprise and the unexpected nature of the outcomes. With their love for books and attention to detail, this person would be able to create convincing and believable notes and designs that would catch their targets off guard and result in hilarious reactions.

They most likely wouldn't find it too funny since they're not that into pranks and childish things but it might cause them to smile a little.

Dante - This would allow the Dante to sneak around undetected, making it easier to set up elaborate pranks without being seen. He could play practical jokes on people without them knowing who did it and make them rethink life.

Kaisen - making people's cereal experience a nightmare. Imagine you're a cereal before milk type of a person and you reach for the cereal box only for milk to flow in your bowl and ruin your day. Yes that would be hilarious for Kaisen.

??? - probably anything with control. Just the thought of making to someone smack another when someone turn around and causing a fight would have her happy as hell.

Came up with an Enyao headcanon/ scenario that has been looming on my mind 4 days!!

Enya gets a full-ride scholarship to go to an art school to get her Fashion degree, but it's in Sotenbori, and Zhao and Enya's relationship is temporarily long distant (kinda) :') (some sfw and nsfw headcanons are somewhat under the cut 😭)

SCENARIO:

Enya is working at the Rose Blossom when one of the customers she's serving notices her and requests her for the night and ends up having an in-depth conversation and ends up talking about Enya's aspirations

After the conversation and learning about Enya's knowledge of fashion, the customer tells her he has connections at the art school and would pull strings to get her a full ride and she'd have her degree in six months if she started now. He lets her know to visit the campus the next day to apply and prep for onboarding and that's when he mentions it's in Sotenbori :')

Enya was happy at first but became doubtful given it would mean she'll be apart from Zhao and considered declining. The man told her to sleep on it and visit tomorrow if she was interested

Zhao pick her up from work and noticed she looked troubled and asked what was wrong when she hesitantly told him about the opportunity and considered declining when he immediately stopped her and told her to take the opportunity

Enya was so worried about how their relationship will go, but Zhao mentioned how she should follow through with what she wanted since it was her passion and reassured her they'd make it work and did not have any issues visiting her and letting her know she could visit on weekends too

Enya eventually tells the gang and ends up taking an impromptu trip to Sotenbori with them for the weekend to support her

The first two days everyone went sightseeing and hanging out until the last day when everyone helped Enya gather supplies for her dorm room and classes

Everyone followed her through the tour all the way up to the point she was given her dorm room key where she met her roommate, Yumi.

Everyone got acquainted with her and shamelessly Adachi tries to flirt with her 😭 until Saeko scolded him

Zhao made food for everyone including Yumi to celebrate Enya's new beginnings and coming closer to her life goals

As the night ended and everyone headed back, Enya became emotional knowing she won't be with Zhao and will sleep alone ( She has severe abandonment issues :') ) Zhao reassured her that she can do it and encouraged her as much as he could

Some days later Enya finds herself having a hard time finding her classes and fitting in (The people in Sotenbori are much meaner 😭) And finds herself being bullied by a clique of girls who are in her class and sabotaging her first project. She complained to the dean about the incident, but because one of the girl's fathers is the one who helps fund the college, it was swept under the rug. She trudged back to her room hoping to vent to her roommate but she was already out for the day

Enya calls Zhao sobbing and practically having a panic attack saying it was a mistake and she didn't want to stay anymore and wanted to go back to Ijincho. Before Zhao was able to get a word in, she mentioned that she had to go and her next class was starting in a few minutes

At the end of her last class of the day, Enya heads back to her dorm and just plops on the bed with no interest to eat or anything

Zhao comes in the middle of the night to see her with Yakisoba and Boba tea to cheer her up and comforts her letting her know that he's there for her, and (jokingly) asked if she wanted them to be "dealt with" and would happily give her father some "encouragement" to stop the girls from harassing Enya, but she declines, knowing it would make her no better than the girls if she did that

Zhao encouraged her to see through her goals especially since this was something she really wanted to do and if they give her any more problems to let him know and both he and Han will make "arrangements" to fix the issue

Enya decides to continue with Zhao's support despite the girls trying to give her trouble

Enya would video call every day and chat with him for hours as he tell her about the happenings with the gang while she was away and some of the interesting encounters he has had while cooking at You Tian including having to shoo a man who came in with only a diaper on

Enya would binge-watch movies with Zhao via video call or visit her dorm

Some days he'd sit on a call with her as she rants about her classes and the different things she learned during her lectures and mentioned how Yumi was eyeing Han the second he walked in and asked her if he was single😭

Sometimes they'd accidentally fall asleep on call after binge-watching too late

During the week he'd visit and bring her any new dishes he has made wanting to get her input or sometimes just bringing her something small like a tiny panda plush and some sweets while he was there

She bought a switch of her own and plays with Zhao and the gang some nights while away

Once out of the week when she's off sometimes she'd pick up a shift or two at the Rose Blossom when she can for extra cash

Enya made a comment about one of the male students eying her and even tried to engage in conversation quite obviously flirting and he ✨jokingly✨ threatened about feeding the guy to the tiger 😭💀💀 this also led to more visits and even showing more PDA than usual when he finally had the pleasure to meet the man eyeing Enya

The distance apart starts to get to them both in more ways than one so those video calls soon escalate to something else when Yumi is away and Enya is alone

Zhao is usually very level-headed when it comes to the distance not wanting to show any ounce of doubt that would make Enya want to drop out, but their time apart despite seeing each other often doesn't lead to much time for sex usually Yumi is in the room with her. One day he rents a hotel and picks her up impromptu and took her out. most of the trip hastily found himself all over her before he could even close the hotel room door. He comes faster than he ever has and complained his hand wasn't enough and the idea of any man eyeing her while he's not there really got to him and wanted to make sure everyone knew that she was his

Enya was sore for a few days 😭 Zhao felt kinda bad and got her taro bubble tea to make up for it :')

When Yumi isn't there and Zhao visits they'd usually take advantage of the "alone time" they have which usually results in quickies. 🤭

Saeko had always loved dogs, so it was a shame when her parents would never get her one. When she finally moved out, she knew she didn’t have enough room for a puppy, but that didn’t stop her from wanting one with her entire being. 

So when she finally got into a relationship with someone she was overjoyed to find that they had a dog. She loved that dog like it was her own child. She made sure the puppy had the best food, toys, yard, and exercise ever. 

She would bow to the whims of that dog. Until she and that person broke up. She had been with that dog for over 3 years. She knew that she was more responsible for the dog that her ex ever was. 

So she asked for the dog. And the ex said yes. Saeko was so surprised that they gave the dog to her the first time she asked, that she actually didn’t have anything set up for him. 

That’s where you come in, an online school student who had just inherited a house too big for only you. So you do the only sensible thing, get a roommate. You had posted that ad on early Saturday morning, and were ready to meet new tenets on Monday. 

The first two tenets that you met at a coffee shop were shady, one had a smoker's rasp to their voice, and a cigarette in their hand, even though you had specifically said no smoking. The other one’s eyes kept wandering lower and lower until you finally got fed up and told him to leave. 

You take a minute after you had met with that last tenant (who had started talking about how he would eventually buy the house from under you) to hit your head on the table and leave it there, relishing in the cold against your warm forehead. 

“Hello?” A voice jolted you up from your moment of peace. You glance up and blink at the woman. Oh, you think, this must be the final person. You stand up to greet her. You look at her, she didn’t have much with her, but what she did have with her was a beautiful black lab. 

You clear your throat “Hi, my name is [Name], are you here for the roommate ad?” Your voice was flat from dealing with stupid people throughout the day. 

“Yup! That’s me!,” she bows, and you bow back. “My name is Tanaka Saeko” You straighten up and gesture for her to take a seat across from you. 

The talk went well and you were planning to help her move in on Wednesday. And so what if you were slightly more interested in her than you let on. That was for you and the dog to know.

I think the problem is that most evil giantess stuff is rooted in NSFW themes like death, blood, vore... Having an evil giantess in a story isn't NSFW by itself, but most stuff I find always focuses on high death tolls, horrific scenes and the aftermaths of rampaging a city.

It's easier to get away with this if you don't point it out. Kind of like Godzilla movies, where people die off screen but we don't know because they don't focus on the humans being crushed under a crumbling building.

I like to draw Kaiju Girls stuff, but I don't want to deal with those things, so my justification is usually "that's a conveniently empty building", "this neighborhood has been evacuated already" or "luckily nobody got hurt, somehow".

If I started showing death tolls, or people trampled under their feet, or how a missing Atomic Breath vaporizes a building full of people like it's the Nuclear Nightmare scene from Terminator 2, I would have to start tagging my stuff as NSFW because I can't handwave it as "we don't see anyone die onscreen".

I also feel like most G/T stuff I find is focused on evil G/T scenarios. 9/10 fanfics of any canon character turned giant will always be about how they turn evil even if they're good people before they changed sizes.

Most G/T games I found (Daibijin, Shrink High, Saeko: Giantess Dating Sim...) are focused on cruelty, death, blood and gore, which are NSFW. This is probably another reason why evil G/T stuff is considered NSFW, the same way a famous actor is always remember as "that character they played" even if they try to play something completely different.

Dating Someone with Anxiety

Was mega anxious today at work (even tho I literally work from home in my own safe space) and apparently that inspired me idk. Hope these are okay and againnn sorry for any typos 💕

Ichiban Kasuga:

This guy is sometimes very oblivious, so you would need to let him know if you were struggling. Once he’s aware, he’s an absolute angel.

Going out for food but too anxious to order? He’ll ask you what you want and place the order for you. Out with the rest of the gang? He’ll stick by your side to make sure you’re okay, and will provide comfort/support if needed. Maybe a certain situation or scenario has been playing on your mind, to the point where you are overthinking and stressing big time? Ichi is there to listen and let you talk it out, and also offer advice if needed too.

He’s not big on PDA, and to be honest Nanba and Adachi would roast him so hard if they witnessed any major PDA, but if you were out with the gang he would hold your hand and give it a reassuring squeeze whenever he can feel you beginning to tense or shake.

Yu Nanba:

A lil quiet and anxious himself sometimes, I think. He would be understanding of your anxiety, but also wouldn’t make a huge deal out of it.

Like Ichi, if he noticed you becoming overwhelmed he would secretly grab your hand and give it a reassuring squeeze.

If he noticed you becoming increasingly overwhelmed or anxious, to the point of an anxiety attack, he would assist by removing you from the situation and taking you to a more secluded spot, whether that be an alleyway, park, or just a emptier spot on the street, away from people.

He’d be happy to just sit in silence with you as you calm down and recollect your thoughts and feelings. He’d also be there to hear you out and offer some advice or reassurance, if you wanted to talk about what triggered you/what was causing the anxiety.

Adachi Koichi:

I think he’d maybe be a tiny bit less sensitive than the others, to be honest.

He’d be the type to try and encourage you to face your triggers, but only if you felt up for it. Adachi would just want to try and be supportive, and would definitely be right beside you when facing your cause of anxiety, just in case you needed him to step in, if you felt overwhelmed. Of course, he would never pressure you in to trying to deal with/challenge your anxiety triggers.

He’s a big guy, so I think he’d definitely use his body to almost shield you in a way, if you felt overwhelmed and wanted to hide for a moment.

If crowds were a cause of anxiety, he would definitely keep a secure hold of your hand/arm when moving through a crowd, keeping you as close as possible.

Saeko Mukoda:

Gals got your back.

Like Adachi, she would sometimes check to see if you’re up for facing your anxiety, or if you need her to chip in and help. For example, if you’re nervous with speaking to people, she’d maybe check to see if you were okay to speak to them directly first, or if you wanted her to maybe speak for you.

She’d be really respectful and wouldn’t overstep at all. Saeko would always ask before acting or speaking on your behalf, if you’re too anxious to do it yourself.

Honestly, she might sometimes lightly tease you if your anxiety causes you to be quite shy, but she would never be mean or belittling. It would more be centred on how cute you are if you’re more shy due to your anxiety, or if your anxiety causes indecisiveness she may make a light hearted joke about you taking forever to make a decision.

If anyone ever dared to tease you for your anxiety in a cruel way or in a way that made you uncomfortable, she would be so mad and would have your back straight away.

If you were wanting to get involved in a conversation with the gang but were maybe too anxious to join in yourself, she would totally get you involved by asking you directly for your opinion, or maybe mentioning a comment you had made previously on the topic, allowing you to speak up and join in if you were feeling up to it.

Seonhee:

Like Adachi, Seonhee is maybe not the most sensitive person around, and won’t always fully understand your anxiety, but she would never belittle you for it or make you feel bad.

She’d probably ask you about your anxiety, why you feel the way you do, what causes it, etc. She’d want to try to understand your anxiety and triggers better.

Very protective and would 100% get mad at someone if they ever made you feel bad for your anxiety behaviours.

If you tend to apologise a lot, she may lightheartedly tell you off. You don’t need to apologise for anything!

Honestly, she’d maybe be a bit lost if you ever had an anxiety attack. In the end, she’d probably just hug you and stroke your hair until your breathing and thoughts have calmed.

Joon-Gi Han:

I feel like he’s definitely someone who has experienced anxiety in the past, and has learned to either overcome it or mask it very well.

Once he catches on to your anxious behaviours, he’d ask you what causes your anxiety, in the hopes that he can look out for you and help you avoid triggering settings/scenarios.

He’s just so protective of you, and would sometimes step in to speak for you or act for you, without asking first. If you feel he’s overstepping, he’d definitely want you to tell him. He’d be very apologetic and would make sure not to do it again. Definitely wants to respect your boundaries, he’s just over protective at times.

Happy to sit in silence with you if you need a quiet moment to collect yourself and your thoughts. He’s not the most talkative at times, so would also be a great listener if you need to just speak about your anxiety or any causes of stress.

Tianyou Zhao:

Another one who would probably lightheartedly tease you for certain small anxiety behaviours, but only if he knows you absolutely won’t take offence.

If your anxiety makes you shy, indecisive, or overly apologetic, he would make small jokes or playful comments, more so to try and diffuse your anxiety or tension.

Would stick close by you when out with friends, and if he notices you becoming overwhelmed he would pull you to one side and check in on you.

If he notices you biting your nails or digging your nails into the palm of your hand, he would simply grab your hand and keep a hold of it.

He would quickly learn what makes you anxious, and would know to keep you away from those triggers. He’s a pretty chill guy, so is happy to go along with whatever makes you comfortable.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't go for Ichi/Saeko in LAD and waited this long. I'm not against it, just... neutral. It does make sense.

Kashiwagi(??) just lowkey listening in on the tea was very funny to me.

I was cheering them on and the date was going so well...

Ichi... my man. My dear lad. A proposal on the first date? After you just got so damn flustered when you pretend to be her boyfriend?? Gosh. The proposal made me want to crawl out of my skin and die. Ichiban tried very hard and was clearly kind of frantic on top of being drunk, but that was HORRENDOUS.

...I'm gonna have an aneurysm. NOT AGAIN LSJDKSNSNDNF 😭😭😭

Ichiban getting canceled by a Vtuber version of DramaAlert wasn't on my Infinite Wealth bingo card, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anything at this point.

I feel very bad for Ichi. It's cool that RGG Studios has made social media into a big part of the people's lives in the games. I know it's 2023 in-game, but it could have been an easy thing to just gloss over.

Also I don't trust the whole Yakuza Purge 2 thing. Don't trust it at all.

Eiji is very good and I love him and I hope he has a happy life. What a sweetheart. Seeing Ichi interact with him was also cool. Like Eiji said, he didn't treat Eiji any different than he usually treats people; he was very respectful and chill. What a good man.

Dark and mysterious and perpetually cold? COUNT ME IN. I want more of this guy for sure.

Literally a nightmare scenario. I would literally become so mortified that I would never move a muscle voluntarily. I would be haunted by this for the rest of my life.

The plot has me WAY more engaged already than LAD ever did. I don't know what it is, it just hooked me in way better. LAD wasn't bad by any metric in existence, but it just clearly wasn't a game made for me personally.

The battle system is SOOO much better. Like. So, so much better. Some people might say it's not THAT different and that the differences here are small, but... These kinds of small quality of life changes can really elevate the experience of playing a JRPG. So much time is spent on grinding and fighting in general that even little tweaks here and there make a massive difference in the long run. Seriously.

I'm not looking forward to gear updating and job leveling stuff, but at least the grinding will be less painful.
