The Wicked adaptation is actually so painful it's like if the musical got all the cunt surgically removed from it.
#honestly this movie wouldn't even have to be GOOD for me to see it just fun#but it's so drab like the lighting is bright and flat the backgrounds are muddy and the actors look so 😐#like they tried to recreate the musical poster but elphaba's hat doesn't cover her eyes her expression is plain and glinda's facebis visible#rather than hidden behind her hand because heaven forbid we can't see ariana grande's face#sad because i'm at least interested with what elphaba's actor will do with the character#i think casting a black woman was an interesting choice and def adds to the subtext#but then i see the mcuified production quality and ariana grande and go “oh yeah this movie is a soulless cash grab”#wicked#wicked (2024)#📨
