Please share one of your headcanons on the nature of Vide?

Despite what people claim, Vide is not a god (Orsterra could tell them that). Vide is an entity that only exists because people fear and hate it. It originated somewhere in older Solistian SacredFlame teachings and quickly gained popularity as a scare tale, and got strong enough that it started feeding on any hate and fear it could find.

Of course the gods couldn't let that thing run around unchecked - unfortunately for them, the battle gained enough traction to become a central event in Solistia's faith and that newfound popularity helped speed Vide's rebirth up to a point where the gods realized they wouldn't be able to keep up forever, since it was just eight of them against the entirety of human suffering.

So they started picking their chosen ones from people with potential and set them up to receive their powers by altering the lives of everyone around them to get dragged into their cause one way or another. That in turn created enough new suffering for Vide's next rebirth, and now everyone is stuck in a cycle neither side can break without getting obliterated.

Sometime earlier in the cycle, Vide figured out some people were very receptive to shadow possession and set up one royal family in particular to generate massive amounts of suffering both to fuel the rebirth cycle in Vide's absence and to break someone enough to become its next vessel. (In an attempt to get rid of that problem, Brand made the extremely risky move of picking his chosen directly from the Ku family to put an end to the wars and slow Vide down again, but it remains to be seen if he's successful. In any case, he had a backup if Hikari had given in to his shadow at any point prior to Stormhail.)

Welcome to a bright and beautiful week! 🌷 Color zoning is somewhat prevalent in translucent minerals. In gemstones, it is not desirable as even coloration throughout the gemstone is coveted. However, in a crystal like this Smoky Quartz Flame, it can add a level of interest and artistic beauty. At a certain angle the zoning jumps out, but as the flame is rotated, it disappears. You can see a video of this happening in our Stories. I have always loved color zoning. I find the perfectly parallel lines to be fascinating in their degree of seemingly perfect straight lines. Smoky Quartz is a go to for grounding and protection. This flam is 5.5” tall. Based on Celtic tradition, Imbolc was meant to mark the halfway point between winter solstice and the spring equinox in Neolithic Ireland and Scotland. Imbolc, meaning in the belly, may refer to the pregnant ewes who are about to give birth to their lambs, but it can also refer to “in the womb” of Mother Earth. It is a time of quickening and new growth, a time to celebrate the promise of fertility, new life and new hope. Imbloc is one of 4 Celtic fire festivals in honor of the pagan goddess Brigid (pronounced Breet). Imbolc was celebrated by burning candles throughout the home and lighting bonfires in tribute to the goddess. Brigid is one of the most venerated deities in the Pagan Irish pantheon. When Brigid was born, she had flames shooting out from her head, and through them, she was united with the cosmos. As a baby, Brigid drank the milk of a sacred cow that came from the spirit world. The name Brigid means exalted one, while her most ancient Gaelic name, Breo-Saighead, means fiery power or fiery arrow. She embodies the element of fire. She is a powerful being and through her fires, she is the patroness of healing arts, fertility, poetry, music, prophecy, agriculture, and smith craft. She was also called the Goddess of the Well, as she has ties to the element of water. The well is sacred because it stems from the womb of the earth, and Brigid is Mother Earth or the Mother Goddess. Worshippers sometimes call Brigid the “Triple Goddess” Imbolc commemorates the changing of the goddess from Crone to the Maiden. Celebrants prepared for a visit from Brigid into their homes by crafting an effigy of the goddess called Brudeig (pronounced Bree-jog) from bundles of oats and rushes. Once the effigy was crafted, it was donned in a dress and put in a basket lined with white cloth overnight. Imbolc focuses on purification, cleansing and devotion. 10. What is the most annoying thing that has happened during a d&d session you’ve played in?

Frequent attempts to set Omid up with ladies even though he’s 1. gay, and 2. extremely stressed at the moment.

Also there was this dude who felt the need to explain basic concepts to all of the women in the party.  He would also just leave in the middle of the game because he wanted to hang out with his friends, and the dm was cool with it (but if my girlfriend cancels a head of time because of work, her character gets punished).

16. What is your favorite spell?

In my early d&d games, I had my neutral good cleric cast “vision of hell” because I didn’t understand alignment restrictions.  The dm allowed it because he just learned that his father died (my previous character) so this could be him snapping.  Ever since, “vision of hell” has become our group’s ooc response to any minor inconvenience in a game.
