Christ the King Double Novena for request & thanksgiving - Day 11 “Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who speaks to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe”; and he worshiped him. Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.” Some of the Pharisees near him heard this, and they said to him, “Are we also blind?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains.” —John 9:35-41 If I was to write an opera, it would be titled THE DIALOGUES OF THE GOSPEL OF JOHN. The Synoptic Gospels are more action driven. John gets up front and personal with the conversations. It is from the dialogue that the action is exposed. I encourage you to contemplate all of Chapter Nine. It’s a great retelling. The part that clung to my heart is after the pharisees banished the blind man because he is healed. Jesus searches for him and confirms the healing. It is like those times people will gaslight us to make us think what is right is wrong. Jesus will search for us and confirm He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life for a blind world. Jesus, I trust in You
