Today is the 23rd April and it is a special day for turks! Since I’m so into children I had to make a blog entry for this great guy! Do you know who this guy is? It is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who dedicaded this day just for children! My mother is by now 49 and she is still a fan of this day and tells us every year what they did as children. They made sack races and races where they had to carry a boiled egg on a spoon in their mouth! She says it was super fun and if I look at her telling that with enthusiasm it has to be a crucial day in her life! She keeps saying the rhyme: “Bugün 23 Nisan, cünkü neşe doluyor insan, which basicly means "Today is the 23 April, because everybody is happy” I love to see my mother cheering us up on this day!
