SacAnime WINTER 2017

So far my time at SacAnime has been the most successful. We’ve seen Jason Page who sung the Pokémon theme and Lego mania. I’ve got my sao sword signed my Bryce who voices Kirito and I’ve meet Vic Mignonga again and got a Qrow print and my Full Metal Alchemist special edition movie too. Meet up with some cool friends too! Hope to be back for the fall!

Now that it's been a couple days I figure I should come back to tumblr and talk about SacAnime! It was fun, but we were woefully underprepared for the weather. Next time I'm gonna wear all my warmest costumes that I can't wear in Spring or Summer, like Vanellope. Also, my friend is sharing her tips, like the best hotel and all that. I felt like an old lady with all the screaming and running teens and being tired all the time, but I had fun and made some new friends! McThor loved my Eleven! And his friend, The Starflower on Instagram, and I are mutual followers and she talked up my workmanship on my dress! I felt so honored! I feel bad that I forgot her name, I'm really bad at names. I realized at the con that everything I brought was something I sewed from scratch! Two of them I drafted myself and two were from Frankensteined patterns. I've only been sewing about 8 years, and a lot of my costumes are bought garments or made by my mom so that's a pretty big deal! Friday we got in late-ish so I threw on Star for the Disney gathering. After I was sick of Star I put on Miwako at like 11pm and only wore it for an hour. Saturday was my grungy day, so I wore Chell, Little Sister for the video game gathering and then Eleven late at night because it's warm. Sunday I didn't dress up because of our long drive. Boy howdy, it was long. We got a notification of a slowdown on 17 while we were leaving Sacramento and STILL sat in traffic for like 2 hours because of a downed tree. Poor T, the next day he went back to work and there was a landslide and another downed tree and was stuck on 17 AGAIN for an extra 2 hours. The weather is bad here, y'all. I'm already looking forward to Summer SacAnime! We're making notes of what to do differently next time.
