Spock's dad is Sarek with one "a."

In his first appearance from 1976 pictured above, the Vulcan Green Lantern wasn't given a name. His appearance was merely an inside joke, probably from artist Mike Grell, who had previously snuck the Enterprise into a 30th century junkyard (along with the Jupiter-2 and a Flash Gordonesque stubby dart rocketship) in an issue of SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES. In that same Green Lantern issue, the forerunners of the Green Lantern Corps use golden rayguns whose designs are clearly Grell's modernized seventies redesigns of TOS's phaser pistols.

The Vulcan Green Lantern was apparently a one-and-done inside reference who languished in character limbo until he was brought back in 2008 and given the name Saarek (with two a's) as an homage to Spock's dad, but he's a legally distinct character of his own.

Also, I’m pretty sure Vulcan doesn’t have a “One Steve Limit” global law, so there could be other people named Sarek who are not Spock’s father.
