SIMS 4 - BUN WITH TWIST FEMALE ONLY HAIR RECOLOURS - COTTAGE LIVING REQUIRED

46 recolours retextured with a lot more modern colour variety, now available on CurseForge! This hairstyle is suitable only for females, aged teen through elder, because of the shape of the mesh, and has been restricted for males. I have provided 4 different files to choose from, install only one or they will conflict!

LEGEND: ALLOWS RANDOM - you will see the hair on random female NPC sims NO RANDOM - you will see the hair only on the female sims you choose to put it on AS - Archetypes Separated to what I hope is realistic by hair colour NA - No Archetype separation so all recolours valid for ALL female sims of any skin colour (Archtypes include African, Asian, South Asian, etc, and yes the game allows tagging for these)

I've tweaked the front and back of AF mesh and added slight animation (to TF mesh as well).

7 custom shades include one with greying roots - not really an ombre but whatever. Natural colours for this hair are here DL link (SFS) - those are for all ages and have star-decorated elastics. I've removed stars from my recolours by texture edit.

Hello! Could you, please, make a tutorial how to make recolours of your hat-hair cc?

Of course! Start with unmerging the package (if it contains more than one age version).

To recolor the HAT part:

Place the adult version in your Sims4Studio folder (usually in /Documents) Close and open Sims4Studio so it loads the new file.

Clone as usual.

Recolor the Hat Part, dont touch the hair part of the swatch (I normally let them be grey so you see that it is not getting the color from those swatches.

Import as usual.

If you want the recolors to also be used for children and toddlers - clone THE ADULT HAIR again, retag for kids (toddlers) and import the mesh from the original package (which you of course need to export first.)

If you want to recolor the HAIR part, place the file with the hair colors in the Sims 4 Studio folder, and clone it. Export, and you shall have 24 EA colors. Recolor, or add colors if that is what you want to do. Import. CHECK that the OUTFIT TYPE (the first drop down menu in S4S) is Hair Color Overlay, NOT hair.

(Swedish version above, long nice Swedish word to know ;) ) Save. NOW: open the Hat Hair file in CASTools.

Go to Hair Color Manager and import the new colors into the package. Commit, save. Done. :)

Hi everyone so this is a recolour set I've been working on for a bit as this set includes a slight texture edit of the original Doctor Slone Hair that has their own recolours as well.

Cakemix Palette is split up into Naturals & Unnaturals (due to the large file sizes) and there are 2 versions of the PuppyCrow Palette 1.0 (old version) & 2.0 (new version) you can download 1 or the other or both as you wish!

"BustedPixels_FortniteConverted_yfHair_Innovator_DoctorSlone_RETEXTURED" file includes: Maxis Swatches, Modmax Swatches + 1 True Black Swatch (32 SWATCHES).

Regardless of whichever version you download whether that be the standard recolours just the retextured hair or the retextured recolours the original mesh is required!

i’m a sims 3 player thru nd thru, so the buried alive one from showtime. i just think the ghost looks so cool LOL.

i love the teen to young adult transition! i love being able to watch my sims grow up and figure themselves out, so it’s hard to choose. i think i have the most fun playing with teens, but when they grow up and i get to progress their lives, i also have a lot of fun playing with them as young adults, since i’m already invested.

gameplay for sure! i can’t build.

yea! most of my friends these days come from simsta so i can’t tag them, but @mal-functioning has been my ride or die since my sims 3 days.

since joining simblr to retiring from sims 3, i think i got better at being able to represent the features i wanted to, but my style evolved especially when i started making s4 sims. i think the way i do eyes has become very distinctive.

tfw you lose where you put half your hair recolours

in other news i updated my simfileshare folder with some new puppycrow recolours

a couple are some by ea, but trying to name the ea ones is a dick and it was really hard to remember what ea called them when i was making them in s4s...

i also very rarely play at the moment, im too weak for mods and cc and my pc hates my game with my 24gb+ of ESSENTIAL MODS AND CC like, it expects me to build a house without LITERALLY all of peacemakers build things?? come on like, without peacemaker i would probably have given up long ago... man is doing the work of god and i am so happy for whatever he releases because it always looks incredible

so yeah if there are bugs let me know and i’ll boot up my slow buttface game (yeah i know i could launch with ONLY my recolours but what if i get distracted and wanna make a cute sim who lives on a farm with no power??)

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, I'm definitely going to be changing where I upload to because it just took me FIVE HOURS to upload today's file. And that was the second attempt to upload the file; the first attempted timed out after almost an hour. That is just insane, it should not take five hours to upload a 175MB file, even with my slow af Aussie internet! Not to mention all the people who seem to be having issues downloading from the site as well. So, I'm done with @simfileshare until they get their shit together.

I still have two more packs of hair recolours to upload (not including Life & Death, that'll get done when S4S updates no matter what) and then I'll be taking a small break, but after that all future downloads will either be only through Patreon (for free of course) or through another site as well, probably either Mediafire or Google Drive, I haven't decided yet.

Either way I need a lil break first, I still haven't gotten a chance to fully play around with the new pack. Also Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes a lot of time and concentration 😂

I'm sick of fighting with SimFileShare and their slow af upload speed every damn day, anyone got recommendations for better free file hosting sites? Because at this point I'm about ready to completely delete all my old CC from my Mediafire account and upload stuff there, but that will only get me so far before I eventually run out of space... maybe I should just stick with (free) Patreon downloads only 🤔
