Jennifer Kale turned out NOT to be an agent of Mephisto.
In reality she was the most under developed character. Even her own episode/trial didn't do much to answer her history or flashbacks like all the other characters, even Alice who out of all of them got the cruddy end of the stick. (That's a post for another time).
