Ya know, with how selfish, untrusting, deceitful, and unapologetic they made Lois in My Adventures with Superman, they could easily make her the villain.

As a Lestat lover slash apologist I know he's done a lot of fucked up shit but I'm still sad and mad about the season 1 finale.
I know he prevented Claudia from leaving and was shitty to her and Louis. But even in Louise's editorized memories we hear Lestat say if Louis rejects him he'll go away and Louis never does. He can never make up his mind or has the strength to leave Lestat until he murders him for Claudia and my poor murder baby is sitting there and announcing his undying love with his last breath and telling Louis he's happy that he can share his last moments with him while Louis stays silent. That's devastating and Lestat at least deserved Louis's honesty which he never gets.

Demonologia sacra, or, A treatise of Satan's temptations in three parts by Richard Gilpin
Secondly, Consider the tendency of such Suggestions: Let no Man say that this will come too late, or that it is an after game: I do not mean that we should stay so long, as to see the Effects; (though this is also a certain discovery of Satan's knavery in his highest pretences; the Phanatick Furies of the German Enthusiasts do now appear plain to all the World to have been Delusions, by their End, Fruits, and Issue) But that while these Conclusions are obtruded upon us, we should observe to what they tend: which we shall the better know, if all Circumstances round about be con∣sidered. Sometimes Satan doth covertly hint his Mind, and send it along with the suggestion; sometimes our condition will enough declare it, and there is no case but it will afford something of dis∣covery if seriously pondered.

something that haunted me waking up this morning after ep6 is honestly not knowing which way louis is going to go in ep7?
[what follows is speculation, i don’t know anything/don’t want spoilers, i’m just going off what we’ve been shown in show/in promo]
louis’s in a surprise murder trial and he says he can’t think beyond the knowledge that lestat is alive/here? i did not expect them to foreground that in the trailer.
Tumblr media
this is the guy who was wandering the moors eastern europe and paris FOR YEARS hallucinating his dead ex—and for most of those years, apparently, one who was appearing as he last saw him, soaked in blood with a gaping neck wound, right? that “i’m gonna fucking kill you” guy.
paris!dreamstat was a softer iteration. he’ll eat your criticized art photos and talk about his sentimental suit and scoff at the awkward fumblings of your new bf. but he’ll also tell you to show him you love him the only way you gruesomely know how to love.
louis still feels GUILTY. and then his guy shows up alive.
so when faced with these attempted murder charges is louis going to buckle? the man is disoriented, freshly betrayed, and has been cracking under guilt and sadness of the murder for YEARS.
but also: fuck the TdV. fuck this kangaroo court. fuck santiago. louis despises them all. and he has to protect claudia and madeleine.
but lestat shows up to (I'm guessing) to condemn his daughter. how does louis cope?
bc I get the sense lestat has been put in a position where he has to put on a show. the dude was literally forgiving louis as he was cutting his throat open, he's proud of Claudia's moxy (per SR), we know blame's not an issue where lestat’s coming from.
there was a promo photo of claudia’s diaries being used at the trial, and if they contain what they contained in Merrick, it’s an understatement that that’s going to momentarily kind of fuck louis up in regard to his solidarity with claudia, or maybe just his self-loathing. so I can’t guess where it would go from there
(I know ultimately things go to shit and presumably louis goes Carrie White.)
IDK I JUST NEED YOUR SPECULATION. tell me your thoughts about Louis. about everyone.
the others--
as for claudia, I can't anticipate anything but furious outrage. had no problem tossing that dude on the grill, even if she'd known anything about these rules she's sworn to uphold, fuck these vampires.
and Madeleine's just hanging on reliving her post-war mob justice.

I rewatched both Katara vs Pakku fights a few times and I think a big part of the problem in the live action is that Katara has too little space to work with and bad choreography.
In the cartoon she runs around a lot in this fight. The first phase of the fight is mostly Pakku standing at the center and Katara running around and from different angles towards him to attack and he slaps her back in various ways. (She counters a few of his moves, but more often she just takes them and gets back up.) When Pakku moves himself just does a few very advanced moves then ends the fight by trapping her. (Note that it is Pakku who uses waterbending to move not Katara, that is beyond her skill level at this point - she does it in Season 2 after Pakku taught her.)
In the Live Action they went for more graceful movements for Katara which don't really fit a self-taught bender. And she pauses between moves, which makes the fight seem disconnected.
While the bending doesn't look good, I think the fight is primarily underwhelming because the fight choreographers (and set designers) didn't do a good job. They focussed too much on adapting individual moves from the original and not on creating or copying the general flow of the fight.
Anyways, the full original fight is on YouTube and is a great watch.

With Ezra back and Filoni's Thrawn letting them go just in the nick of time, it felt nice and comfy like a live action Rebels episode. The humor was spot on too - not too much, just a dash here and there.

So basically Sam Riordan is Lenny Butcher.
They look similar, have older brothers and hide in the closet.
I'm sure there's more similarities

at the end of that slow motion scene of mrs coulter walking between the magisterium soldiers she turns around and the camera pans up over her head. my dad looked at this shot, saw the silhouette of a soldier and his (dog) dæmon and deduced it was lee and hester joining the dark side. this man has watched far too many bbc police dramas to trust any adult character

i will skin anybody alive who says this episode or that episode of The Last of Us is boring because Oh it doesn't have infected and Where is my God-given right to watch senseless violence on television LIKE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, why are you so goddamn desensitized to humanity and love that the couple episodes we get (which are still plot-important) exploring specifically relationships, love, and compassion in a post-apocalyptic world that you are genuinely bored? does it mean nothing to you? have you no shame when you say you're bored watching an episode of the zombie show that is still, in spite of focusing on the relationship of two people, suspenseful and sad?
hmmm it's almost like you were bored by episode 7 because it was the backstory for a queer teenage girl and you don't give a shit about something that doesn't prominently feature men. like bro episode 7 was so vital to the plot and characters. i hate everybody who watched TLOU and didn't appreciate the parts that weren't action-packed violence. it was never meant to reach that sort of audience. it's a show about humanity. get a grip
