🥰 Limited Release (rageprufrock) - 63K, modern XMFC AU - established cherik, FBI agent Erik, Charles being Charles, everyone hunting for domestic terrorist Shaw - really excellent fic, I really dug these versions of them

😊 Damn your love, Damn your lies (purpleweekend) - 66K, modern steddie, eddie's a rockstar who falls for bartender steve (who has no idea who he is) - the central conflict is 100% eddie not telling steve who he is - I was on the fence about this bc eddie doesn't just omit info he actively constructs a double life (which is usually my hard line) BUT the writing was solid enough that I wanted to see how it played out & overall i think the author succeeded - we're in Eddie's POV so we know WHY he's doing these actively dumbass things and he does grovel an appropriate amount for forgiveness - still YMMV on this topic

😊 Fer-de-Lance (Nero Wolfe #1) (Rex Stout, author; Michael Prichard, narrator) - looking for some kind of comfort read, decided to start NW again. Once again reminded of the wonderful '30s slang phrase 'Lovin' babe!' (as an expression of astonishment) which I really wish would be reanimated

🥰 Second Best (Nejinee) - 51K, buddie omegaverse - "Eddie has convinced himself that helping Buck through his heat was perfectly normal behaviour between friends. It didn’t mean anything." surprise! Eddie is WRONG. LOL. Enjoyable.

😍 ain't really quaint (quietnight, silentwalrus,) - aka Farm Hell (44K) this was my 4th? reread of this, this one for stucky bookclub. Still absolutely hilarious. Such a great mashup of MCU/comics into an absolutely fascinating & solid alternate timeline. Incredible characterizations, fantastic art and legit some of the funniest lines ever written in this fandom.

🥰 Smash & Grab (RELIC #1) (Maz Maddox, author; Kirt Graves, narrator) - pink punk dino shifter (utahraptor) + buttoned up paleontologist + menace from ruthless dino collector = silly fun adventure romance road trip. What a fun romp, the book equivalent of Romancing The Stone or Lost City or a National Treasure movie. Absolutely absurd but extremely enjoyable

😍 Not Easily Conquered series (dropdeaddream, WhatAreFears) - FINALLY reading this absolute classic in this fandom. And I absolutely get why! Even though I knew it had prose that knocked your socks off, I was not prepared. Womb to tomb, sweetheart. It's hell to love a fighter. So far I've read the first two stories: A Long Winter (35K) which is Steve's alt timeline life and The Thirteen Letters (35K) which is Bucky during the war, writing the letters
