squid game au that i thought abt for like 2 seconds where both hwang bros are in the games undercover (for diff reasons of course, with in-ho trying to manipulate/break down gi-hun like in canon while jun-ho is helping gi-hun take down the games) but each of them doesn't know the other is there until they're both in the room together so not only is in-ho hiding that he's the front man but both of them are hiding from gi-hun and everyone else that they're brothers and that they both Know what's up

I know we already talked about Jun-ho's expression/Wi Ha-jun's acting during the cliff scene and I know my blog probably feels like a broken record at this point but

I know it's just a quick clip here but man. Immediately at the reveal and when he gets shot his expression looks very blank in the sense that he's feeling a million things but it's so overwhelming that he can't react. But here? Poor Jun-ho looks like he's about to cry. Like he can't believe what's in front of him (or doesn't want to). Like he wants all of this to have just been a bad dream. Like he feels like a scared little boy who just wants his brother - the version of him before everything went wrong - back.

losing my mind. jung-bae's death is both one of the biggest and one of the only moments we see such an intense emotional reaction from gi-hun in season 2

gi-hun is fairly outwardly emotional/expressive in season 1, but after the games he becomes much more outwardly cold and hardened and closed-off, not showing a lot of emotion, positive or negative. he still feels those emotions but the first games he was in changed him and a lot of what we see is more subtle (slight smile when talking to young-il, subtly trembling when other players are killed, etc)

his reaction to jung-bae's death is one of the strongest and most raw displays of emotion we see from him in season 2 and the fact that through most of the season we've only seen a fraction of how expressive he used to be just makes that moment hurt so so much worse

man i'm not even a huge 457 girlie but why does in-ho lean into gi-hun sm when they're watching dae-ho play gonggi during the pentathlon like bro you don't need to do that?? is this your idea of endearing yourself to gi-hun?? putting your body weight on him?? making your bodies as close to each other as possible without knocking him over??

whenever i post or rb stuff abt the hwang brothers i feel like i'm just saying the same stuff worded slightly differently over and over so i kinda hesitate to make even more posts but also i need to keep shaking them around in a jar and observing them like a specimen and rotating them in my brain so violently they get motion sickness

i don't actually think the "gi-hun joins the front man's side/becomes the new front man" thing is gonna happen but what if gi-hun put on the whole front man fit, mask and all, and then encountered jun-ho who, thinking it's still in-ho behind the mask, immediately calls him hyung. and that's how gi-hun finds out about the connection between jun-ho and the front man and that jun-ho lied to him. what then
