S03E06- Comrade Bingo
The universe heard me wishing for book!Dahlia to appear and my prayer has been answered!! More of the Aunt Dahlia who lovingly calls Bertie a revolting young blot and less of the Aunt Dahlia who doesn’t care if he lives or dies please
They’re making the same shitty fat jokes about Charlotte that were made in the book but there’s an extra layer of baffling because she literally looks no different from any of the other female romantic prospects on this show
Like maybe she’s wearing a slightly bulkier coat
This is how I learn they had electric kettles in the 20s. Apparently they were invented in 1922
Bertie has so little involvement in household finances that he didn’t even know Jeeves had bought an electric kettle, which I assume must have been expensive, being the cutting edge of technology
Different Jeeves but he’s a class traitor all the same god bless ❤️
LOVE that Bertie immediately caught on to what Bingo was up to. My boy is bright! My boy is fed up with this nonsense!
I love the looks he and Jeeves exchanged
“You said Fothergill’s painting!” Bertie’s love of pulp mysteries finally comes in handy

I love this scene so much. Its nothing to do with the turns of phrase that makes P.G. Wodehouse so much fun but it is so in the spirit of - this show and performance are just such brilliant visual interpretations of that world 😂
