i wish smap members would take on more weird roles. a lot of the biggest living filmmakers in japan are a bit quirky, so it's not like they'd have to leave the mainstream to get into some weird film projects, but it's also not like they need the mainstream movie money. they could do more indie stuff. i want to see more things like smap short films or kusoyaro, but not made for them.

the best we've got is probably chugakusei maruyama. if we count cameos, then survive style 5+.
