Fun Fact: A lot of her memories are fractured from the explosion that took her legs and also caused her Prosopagnosia, but she does distinctly remember Jango’s face as she would bother him a bit from her time before she was a Bartender at the White Clover— hence why she also knows Bane and Embo. Essentially, her Prosopagnosia is a mild case a she cannot differentiate between people she didn’t know before the explosion, so it absolutely threw her when she met the Clones for the first time.

Free Space/Ramble: She was originally a bounty hunter who was one of the best but sometime before the war started she was gravely injured under Cad Bane’s watch and direction. An odd sort of guilt and pity caused him to drag her out of the situation and so it just makes sense they ended up in this weird sort of relationship— Embo was a bonus though. It seems that she might just be near-human, but she can’t say for sure, but she really likes the life she lives now at the White Clover Tavern thanks to the Blancas— besides, the place is essentially a “leave your titles and jobs at the door and just relax on equal ground” sort of place, so there’s always something interesting going on when someone visits for the first time.

The Arcana cast’s Digimon partners

Some of you know that Digimon is my oldest passion and it’s common for me to assign Digimon partners to characters from other fandoms. (I think this is especially interesting for you @thatlittleringo)

Will do this for the Arcana cast, but I will start with my apprentice. (I’m sure many of you mostly know the Digimon from the first anime seasons, but I still ask you what Digimon your apprentice would have as partner.)

If I could freely choose, I would actually give Ajina my own Digimon Pikunamon as partner (with pre memory loss being Magnavamon) simply because it fits Ajina’s fire theme and her slight feline habits.  But since we want to stay in canon, my choice as partner for Ajina during the events of the game would be Meramon.

Obviously fire is again the main theme here, also it fits to Ajina’s tendency to have a violent temperament, it’s a close-combat fighter and they both have blue eyes. It also stands into strong contrast to it’s former appearance, pre memory loss, Valkyrimon.

Ajina had a slight different character before she lost her memories, so also her partner had a different nature, with being noble, more controlled and using the element ice instead of fire. When Ajina lost her memory, so did Valkyrimon and also lost most of it’s power and devolved to Mermamon.

Now onto the cast of the game! (Will put under Read More)

Asra Oh, that was hard to choose. I wanted some magic/sorcerer Digimon for him, but none quite fit him the way I would have liked, so I went with the snake theme. But also here I could choose, so I simply decided that before Lucio’s murder his partner was a HolyDramon.

It has similarities with the beast Asra is riding on and since Asra is described as fluffy at one point, I thought a fluffy Dragon would fit him. Due to power loss or some other reasons his partner changed his form (devolved) and is a Coatlmon in the current events of the game.

Nadia She was so easy to choose. The first Digimon that came into my mind for her was QueenChessmon, a ruler and superior to her husband KingChessmon. (I was tempted for a second to give that one to Lucio as partner xD) She is elegant, but also s strong-willed fighter and so a perfect match for Nadia.

Julian To my dismay there doesn’t exist a plague-doctor Digimon yet (heresy!) and any other Digimon associated with healing is mostly a female Fairy Digimon and wouldn’t fit to Julian. So I went with the Raven theme and went to one of my favorite Digimon Ravmon. He fits Julian’s style, especially since he tends to use his black wing as cape.

Lucio Similar to Nadia, I had the perfect match in mind for Lucio: LordKnightmon. A narcissistic knight, who is ruthless in following the thing he calls justice and likes roses. Funny enough, he can evolve from Goatmon. (Goatmon->Knightmon->LordKnightmon)

Portia Okay, I have to be honest, I was lazy with Portia’s partner, simply looking for a cat Digimon and thinking that Mikemon would suit well to her.

Muriel I really wanted to use a wolf Digimon, but the only one I would have liked (WereGarurumon) was too much punk for me. And when I remembered BanchoLeomon, I just had to choose him for Muriel. Both are being tall, are fighters and have scars on their chest.

Valerius = Bacchusmon (from the roman god Dionysus who represents wine)

Vlastomil = Kunemon (there are only 2 worms and I choose the lesser cute one)

Nasmira = Lilamon (Nasmira strikes me as the flower type)

Mazelinka = Babamon (old lady who still can kick ass)

I really love @therowdyravens‘s Scarlet Manor AU and of course I had to put my Ajina into that setting, too. I explicitly asked if the stage/club was fire-proofed. xD

As in Canon Ajina is a fire dancer/performer, the only difference is that her whole show is a bit more...sensual. Most of the time she is alone on stage, but sometimes she performs together with Asra.  When Asra got her the job offer she accepted it gladly, happy to be able to follow her passion and be able to work with her best friend together.  She isn’t Lucio’s biggest fan, most of the time annoyed by him and so she is glad that Nadia is her actual boss, since she has a lot of respect for that woman. She gets along splendid with the Devorak siblings, always chatting and joking around with Portia in their breaks and doing flirty banter with Julian. Julian is also the one who provides her with potions and ointments for her burns and dry throat after performances. Ajina likes to think she has a mutual respect with Muriel, since she helps containing any ruckus in the club, should he be prevented for any reason. After several months she and Asra learn about the mob. Ajina, always up for more excitement in her life, agrees to join and Asra agrees too, mostly to look after her. She might not be as strong as Muriel, still thanks to her acrobatics and fire abilities she gets the position of a bodyguard, at first only for Asra, but then later also for Lucio and Julian.

So, @doctormctiddy‘s post about the Arcana LIs calling MC pet names / terms of endearment in their native language got me thinking about what kind of names my Apprentice would use.

I headcanon that Ajina comes from an Arabic inspired nation and accordingly has that as mother tongue.  So she would call Julian Houbi (my Love) mostly in casual situation or for teasing, Galbi (my Heart) when earnestly expressing her love and Omri (My Life) or Rouhi (My soul) in more intimate moments.
