XZ Album 《我们 WE》 early cpns.

you know we just need a few things to see and it’s a whole bunch of cpns we can produce after 😂😂😂 that’s the magic of being a turtle. lol. we may be interpreting this whole thing wrong but that’s usual when it comes to speculations we make and i think that’s the joy of it.

i’ll start of with this one that made me want to scream and cry:

why you gotta pull the wei wuxian imagery like that. i’m very very weak for this. the writing mimics that of a red ribbon. of all things. tho the WM here as how fans interpret it and how i think xz intended it to is WM: WǒMen (我们) as in We/Us or WM: We and Me (我和“我们”) (Wǒ hé “Wǒmen”). not to mention that the color scheme of this red is 911005. his bday. everything is intentional.

but still. red ribbon. come on. who can blame us for clowning like this when he makes it so easy. it’s not a secret that the untamed and the role of wwx is important to him career wise and well *ehem* personally *ehem* because of a certain someone. if you don’t wanna look that far then just go with the W as in WANG. lol. and if it’s WM, M flipped is still W. so that’s how transfixed he is with the letter W. i wonder why. 👀

now we move on to the snippets of what the song means & how it’s making us think of wyb’s previous single everything is lovely ( which has a separate cpn too between them )

QQ music said this line connected to the album/song:

“About me, about you, about TA (him/her), or the relationship between people in this big city.”

this is pretty similar to the message of everything is lovely — it’s about appreciating everyone and looking at life and your surroundings as interconnected. they both have that sense in them. what we do and say, it has an effect and we are all related even if it’s a big city we live in. plus the use of TA which does not specify the gender. we love that! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

we get more of an expanded idea too via xzs post of the activity for the release. it mentioned a description. you can substitute the we to us if that reads better to you:

“Some people say that WE are close friends, cats and dogs waiting for us to come home every night are concrete in life.

Some people say that WE make friends with all kinds of emotions... are virtualization hidden inside the heart.

These characters of “ME”, and emotions form different "WE".

We are placed in a prism named "life", where light breaks it down into multi-faceted spaces. We travel through different spaces as lights flow and capture our own colors.

Starting from "Me", feel the intersection related to "Me", and then return to understand "self". What is the "we" behind "Me"?

A trace of emotion, a thing, a friend... The bits and pieces around "Me" all make up "We".

i think if you are someone who have been watching them for a while and the messaging they are sending out then you will see the common theme/connection here. the cats and dogs waiting for us to come home every night. that reminds me of the cpn that they have a cat and dog at home, at some point. and it’s what they want too. the interconnection of you/other people and appreciating everything around you, that’s the vibe i’m getting right now. of course we will know more one we have the song/s and the full lyrics and possibly some backstory from xz.

a coincidence too that the “me and we” is giving the same energy as “ u and i” which is in wyb’s weibo bio. which i know is something UNIQ related but there you go.

what’s more chilling i guess is the “we” was emphasized and used as a caption between them by hui-ge ( cpn about this fansite here which is a primer of sorts but there are other instances aside from what’s there ) which was i have a we / i have us. i mean. come on. too bad they haven’t posted in so long especially because fans were looking too much into them ( cpn about this photo/ post here )

the use of “we” which they have mistakenly said back in 2019 when talking about themselves:

other minor similarities:

* the concept of multiple xz and wyb through something prism/mirror like.

* both xz and ybo using similar captions which is not new but most importantly, starting an activity for fans to participate in. which i’m not sure but possibly other artists do too. but whatever, let’s add that 😂

* and the PINK! because pink is the color of love! what are the chances they will use the same color?

lastly, one of the release dates is 11/19. and as cpfs we have a whole story about that and it’s nice that we get to continue that timeline. cpfs think it’s a confirmation of the importance of this date too ^^

I'm new here and I love your blog. But I keep seeing stuff about a necklace? Maybe not here but other places keep mentioning an ox-head necklace and that it's significant?

Hello, and welcome! I am so glad you enjoy my blog and I hope you stay for a while.

I am going to put the explanation for this under a cut, so if don't like looking into the bjyx side of Tumblr, stop reading and move along, keep scrolling.

This is one of the first theories that sold me on bjyx because it explains more than any alternative explanation.

For those of you who have never heard about this before, this is the necklace in question:

It's a Gucci necklace that represents dd's Chinese Zodiac since he was born in 1997, the year of the ox. This is significant for a few reasons.

First, dd has never been particularly superstitious or the kind of person to seem interested in these things. Gg, on the other hand, is. We have seen him wear that red bracelet his mother gave him for good luck, for example. Dd has never done something like this before.

The second reason is that dd doesn't endorse Gucci at all, and yet he wears it more than any other piece of jewelry. That is, we have seen him wear it nonstop since 190619 (exactly one year and one day after their dragon boat festival date on 180618), being last seen during SDoC. He wears it more than the feather necklace and the ring he got from Han-ge, who is like family to him, so it must be extremely special for him.

Third, gg does endorse Gucci, and yet this is not the kind of thing that would be sent to him. This was an exclusive item being sold in only two physical stores in China and gg just so happened to be in one of these cities at the time that it was being sold, so he definitely has the opportunity to get it.

When fans started noticing that he was wearing it, rumors about how he got it started coming up. In my opinion, there are a two options:

He got it himself, which wouldn't explain why it seems so important to him. However, a staff member said that dd himself told him he was the one to buy it. Keep in mind however that this wasn't someone in dd's team and therefore it's not unlikely that dd lied to avoid any relationship rumors (I'm saying this from the top of my head, it may not have happened like this. If so, anyone is free to correct me).

Someone really important to him or a s/o got it for him. But again, Han-ge is very important to him and you don't see him wearing the feather necklace or the ring all the time.

I have explained above a little bit of why people seem to think it was gg that got it for him but when I first saw it, I wasn't convinced. It seemed like too much of a stretch.

What sold me on this theory was the Happy Camp episode (which could be a post by itself). During this, they were playing a game where they were grabbing each other to keep the other team from going through some kind of hoops (?) and having something around the neck was potentially dangerous. And it was because dd did get hurt, he scratched his neck with it. Why wouldn't he have taken the necklace off when it was that dangerous? It must really mean a lot to him.

But what's startling is gg's reaction to dd getting hurt (around 5:50). Everyone else who approached him seemed worried, but gg looked mad, which if you know gg at all you will know is extremely ooc. His public persona is very kind and calm, so this really must have affected him if that was his reaction. According to fan lip readings, he then tells dd to take it off and only then dd does.

There's also a lip reading of yu bin asking dd if gg got it for him and dd nods.

Another significant detail is that while he still wears it, he started hiding it after rumors started getting out of hand. Now he'll often wear it under his clothes, but if you pay attention you'll see that it's still there.

(You'll see it if you zoom in enough. Also, a bit of an aside, note the shirt with the 'blue sky and white clouds'.)

If he bought it himself or a friend got it for him, why hide it?

This is just a summary of it and there are people way more capable than I am of explaining this since I just fell down the bjyx rabbit hole, but I hope this is enough to answer you question.

An Update on UNIQ.

Since I was wondering what happened to them, I tried to summarize the past years of their career. Since their debut in 2014 they mostly pursued solo activities. I linked some stuff and attempted an explanation for Yuehua's managing behaviour.

Wang Yibo

2016-18: roles in smaller dramas and movies

2018: dance mentor for the Chinese Produce 101

2019: lead roles in "Gank up your heart" and "The Untamed" (based on a Boys Love novel)

2019: team member of professional racing team (Yamaha China racing team)

Overall: participated in multiple OSTs, released some songs (e.g. Fire, Lucky, No feelings)

Seungyoun

2015: founded musical collective M.O.L.A (alongside Kino, Vernon, 15&'s Jimin and more)

2016: participated in Show Me The Money Season 5

2016: co-founded production crew "Drinkcolor", with ATEEZ' producer EDEN amongst others

2016-17: solo activities as "Luizy" and multiple collaborations (feat. Flowsik, Hyunsik of BTOB)

Sungjoo

2016: acting debut in MBA partners alongside other UNIQ members, multiple dramas follow

2017: role in "The liar and his lover" alongside Lee Hyunwoo and Joy

2018: roles in Kdramas

2020: announces enlistment (march)

Conclusion: They all were more or less active the past years and actually didn't disappear at all. While most members pursued acting careers and especially Yibo gaining popularity with acting, Seungyoun stuck to his music career and became a pretty active producer. In fact it actually is not surprising they didn't continue group activities, if you consider the China-Korea conflict after the deployment of the THAAD in 2016. This caused a literal Hallyu ban in China and hence made it impossible to continue promoting Kpop in China ... If UNIQ was only under Yuehua, they could have just promoted as Cpop band I assume, but apparently the plan (considering that they have Korean members) was to promote in both countries - hence they also seemingly get managed by Starship in Korea. It seems to have become normal that Chinese Kpop idols literally disappear in China at some point and promote alone there, for example Junhui, Minghao, Yanan and Lay. So it just seems logic that also the Chinese UNIQ members leave to China to raise their popularity there, which obviously worked pretty well. I guess Yuehua doesn't disband them because they all still work under the label (and hence earn money for them) and it might be that they just wait and see if the China-Korea conflict at some point loosens. Moreover it might be that the popularity of individual members is supposed to boost band popularity...but it also could be that following Sungjoo's enlistment they'll disband. Let's hope that won't happen.
