Man the way dogs communicate sometimes is so good and funny
I wish I had the room and the energy to teach mine to use those buttons I'd love to see what would happen if she had an audible "voice"

JJ Maybank x sister!reader
summary: a young Y/N needs her big brother after a particularly scary nightmare.
warning(s): mention & description of physical abuse/child abuse
a/n: i hope that the direction that i took with this snippet doesn’t come out of left field. in the context of the reader being a young child i hoped that it would make more sense to try and end on a fluffier, happier note ◡̈

Y/N woke with a start, her wild eyes taking inventory of her surroundings as she struggled to adjust to the darkness of midnight. Relief quickly flooded her small, shaking form as she realized that she was safe within the four walls of the château and not, in fact, watching her father beat on JJ in the house she was forced to call home.
It was all so vivid—the droplets of blood flying from JJ's mouth as her father's punches met his face, Luke's angry grunts as he swung mercilessly at his own flesh and blood. It was a scene she'd watched far too many times from behind her bedroom door, JJ's words repeated over and over in her mind like a mantra.
It’s not safe. Don't get involved.
But this time wasn't like the others. This time her father didn't back off once he was content with the fact that JJ had learnt his lesson, wiping at his nose and mumbling under his breath as he walked off to find a bottle of beer to nurse. This time she didn't get to run to her brother's side, tears in her eyes as he weakly assured that he was fine, he would be fine, everything was going to be okay.
This time the blood didn't halt; the punches kept flying as JJ yelled, sobbed, and eventually fell quiet as his body wasn't able to withstand the pain.
Stop! She was shrieking, banging fruitlessly at her father's arm, Stop! Daddy, stop! Please! You're gonna kill him! But even though she was yelling as loud as her body would allow, no sound left her lips. Y/N was little more than a ghost, helpless as she watched what remained of her brother get pummelled into the hardwood floor.
Her tears began almost immediately and the sobs followed soon after. Y/N tried to shake the horrible images from her mind but to no avail—they reappeared every time she closed her eyes, relentless in their torment.
The young girl sprung from the bed, clad in pyjamas as she ran through the château and towards the loud laughter of the Pogues outside. The group of teens barely had time to acknowledge Y/N as she joined them on the porch, their conversation falling short as she barrelled towards where JJ was splayed across a sofa, a blunt lazily hanging from his left hand.
"Hey, w—" Y/N crashed into her brother’s chest, quickly wrapping her arm around his middle. He grunted from the impact. "Jesus Christ, what was that for?" JJ chuckled, instinctively resting his free hand on her back as he passed the blunt off to Kie.
His features softened with concern when he felt Y/N's small shoulders shake from her sobs, her tears beginning to soak the fabric of his t-shirt. "Hey-hey-hey, what's wrong?" He pulled her tightly to him, running his fingers through her hair. "What's wrong, Y/N/N? What happened?'
Y/N offered no response, clinging to her brother's shirt as she breathed him in. JJ was alive. JJ was safe. To her, that was all that mattered.
"Did you have a nightmare, sweetie?" Sarah tried after a moment, cuddled under John B's arm with a worried look in her eyes. Y/N nodded into her brother's chest.
"Oh, I get it," He said, rubbing her back with his large hand. "It's alright, kiddo. I promise. It was just a bad dream."
"N-no," Y/N choked out, leading JJ to furrow his brows. "No . . . no, it's . . . it's real." JJ sighed.
"It wasn't real, Y/N, I swear." He gently pulled her away from his chest and took her small face in his hands, wiping at a few stray tears with his thumbs. "It's not real."
"Daddy was . . . he was h-hitting you." JJ's stomach dropped as he looked into her big tearful eyes, and the rest of the Pogues felt their own hearts shudder at her words. "That's real."
JJ searched his brain for something to say—something that would comfort his baby sister, something that would make it all okay—but his silence only grew as his mind raced. He knew she'd seen Luke hit him once or twice, but he hadn't known just how deeply it affected her. He'd tried so hard to keep his father from hurting Y/N, and yet he managed to get to her even still.
He eventually gave in with a sigh, breaking free of the tense silence that gripped the Pogues as he led Y/N's head to his shoulder and stood, carrying her back to what might as well have been their bedroom. She continued to cry as he sat them both on the bed, and JJ waited for her sobs to ease before pulling back and taking her small hands in his.
"Listen to me, peanut," He said carefully, "I'm never gonna let him hurt you, okay? Dad’s never gonna touch you."
"I don't care!" Y/N snapped, catching JJ off guard. The girl sniffled, wiping her eyes before continuing. "I don't . . . I d-don't want daddy to hurt you anymore."
JJ felt a lump growing in his throat and forced it down. He was certain that him crying was most definitely not going to make Y/N feel better. Instead he opted to lean back against the headboard with her on his chest, her legs still wrapped 'round his waist.
"I know . . . I know you don't. I-I don't want him to, either." Y/N stared at him as JJ struggled to find the words to say. "But . . . but I'm alright, aren't I?" He brought her hand up to cup his cheek. "See? I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere."
Y/N didn't look convinced, snuggling her face into his neck. "But what if daddy does it again?" JJ leant his head atop hers. "What if he doesn't s-stop next time, Jay?"
"Y/N," he breathed. He was hoping that she would get a little bit older before he had to explain the complicated topic that was their dad, but he knew he had to say something. "Dad's just . . . he's not . . . he's not good."
"I know," She sniffled. JJ had told her this before, and she knew enough about Luke to have come up with that conclusion before he ever had to.
"I know you know, smarty pants." JJ poked at her ribs and felt relieved to hear a small giggle escape her. "But I . . . no matter what, he's never going to take me away from you. I'm always gonna be okay in the end—always." Y/N was silent, clearly struggling to believe her brother. It was then that he realized that he needed to take a different approach. "I mean, how could I not be? I'm the strongest guy in the whole wide world."
"No you're not," Y/N said, her voice muffled in the crook of his neck. JJ smirked.
"Yeah, I am."
"No, John B is," She said, and JJ couldn't help but notice a small smile tugging at her lips as she turned her head to face him. He faked an offended gasp.
"Who says?"
"He does!" Y/N countered. "Sarah says so, too."
"Well, Sarah doesn't know what she's talking about." Y/N giggled, her tears finally rescinding as her dimples came out of hiding.
"Yeah, she does. I've seen him carry you on his back."
"I carry you on my back all the time."
"But you're a lot heavier than me." JJ laughed at that, tickling her as she giggled and squirmed against him.
"You're one cheeky kid, y'know that?" He let up after a minute or two, allowing her to get comfortable on his chest once again.
"Pope says I get it from you." He snorted.
"Yeah, well. He’s got that right." JJ brushed some hair from her face, smiling as her eyelids grew heavier. "I love you, peanut."
"Love you too, Jay," Y/N replied. "One day, I promise I'll get big and strong and make sure daddy can't hurt you anymore."
"I'm sure you will, kid." He placed a tender kiss to her forehead. "In the meantime though, what do you say you get some sleep? Hm?"
"Will you stay with me?"
"Are you kidding? 'Course I will. What's the point of being the strongest guy on Earth if I can't keep some pesky nightmares away from my girl?"

Hooked On A Feeling
Chapter Twenty-Four - Milo's Birthday
Daniel is a Formula One driver, but, more importantly, he was a single dad to a wonderful little girl. He wants her to be a normal little girl, to have a normal social life, so he sends her to daycare. That was where she met Milo, her future best friend.
Milo's mother was incredibly stressed. She worked so hard to provide a good life for her son. But then he makes a new friend, a friend who has a hot dad (ofc they fall in love)

That night, the night after her run in with Kerry-Ann, she found herself at the kitchen table. Her old, beaten up laptop sat open in front of her and she typed away, writing her story.
She hadn't opened her laptop since their Monaco trip. A small glass on wine sat on the placemat beside her laptop. She brought it to her lips, finishing off the glass before she put it back down and returned to her writing.
"Momma?"
Her head snapped towards the door. "Munchkin, what're you doing up?" She asked as she saved her work and closed her laptop (every time she did, it was a wonder whether it would turn back on again).
Milo slipped into the seat opposite her, sitting on his hands. He rocked gently from side to side as he looked at his mother. "My bed at Danny's house is comfier," he muttered. It wasn't Milo's bed, just the bed in the guest bedroom that had been decorated with enough stuffed toys that the bed beneath was barely visible.
But it might has well have been Milo's bed.
"He'll be back soon, munchkin," she said and pushed her laptop away. "I miss him and Olivia, too."
Leaving her laptop on the table, she put her glass in the sink with the rest of the dishes and waited for Milo to stand up. Together, they headed back upstairs. She tucked Milo in and headed to her own bedroom.
It was the middle of the day in whichever part of the world Daniel was in. She called him, holding the phone to her ear as she called him.
It didn't take Daniel very long to pick up. The moment she heard his voice, she couldn't hide the elation she was filled with. Not that she had anybody to hide it from.
"Hey, honey," he said. Daniel sat outside of the AlphaTauri hospitality unit, coffee in front of him.
"Hi, Danny," she said quietly. "I miss you."
"I miss you, too," He replied.
She didn't want to bring up her unpleasant encounter with Kerry-Ann. Not yet, anyway. They talked, talked about how the Grand Prix weekend was going, talked about how Milo had been enjoying school since he left
"He misses you, too," she said to him, and Daniel chucked. There was nothing she could have said to him that would have made him happier. "Danny, we need to talk about something."
From across the world, she couldn't see as his face fell. "What's the matter? Did something happen? Is it Olivia?"
"No, no," she said quickly. "No, Danny. I had a run in with Kerry-Ann earlier. And I know it's stupid, I know she was just trying to get into my head, but I can't stop thinking about what she said to me."
"What did she say to you?" He asked. He had sat up straighter in his seat, his posture tense.
She sucked in a breath. "First she... she accused me of being with you for your money. Which, I swear I'm not interested in you for money, Danny. I love the person you are inside, I swear."
"It's okay, sweets. I know. She was the one with me for my money, not you. I know you're not." He let out a breath. "What else did she say?"
Guilt ran through her. She knew this bit wasn't true, either. She knew how Daniel felt about her. But still, she hadn't been able to stop thinking about it. "She said that you don't love me," she said. "She said that you won't ever love me."
Silence. That was maybe the worst thing he could have done. Daniel said nothing. He didn't say a single thing to her for a good minute. Oh God, she was going to throw up.
But then Daniel let out a breath. "I did love Kerry-Ann. I loved her enough to have a child about her. But she showed who she really was after Olivia was born. I can't love someone that awful. She's got it in head that it's impossible I don't love her. So she thinks I can't love."
He paused, giving her a second to soak it in. "She's wrong, though. She thinks I can't love, but I love you so much that sometimes, I don't understand how it's possible. I don't understand how I can be so in love with another human being. But I am. I'm in love with you and I can't wait to buy you a ring."
She couldn't stop herself from gasping. "You don't mean that."
"Fuck, baby, I do. I've been gone a day and I just can't stop thinking about you. I know it might be soon but I can't help but dream about a future with you."
She couldn't stop herself from crying, sobs muffled by her pillow. "I can't wait for you to come home," she said through her cries.
Now, their reunion after the Grand Prix weekend was exactly what you'd think it would be. It was sweet and loving. Daniel took the four of them out for dinner and then, well, he didn't let her out of bed very much after that.
The next two months were bliss. Pure bliss.
With every Grand Prix that went by, things got a little easier. Nothing Kerry-Ann said could affect her, not when she knew how much Daniel loved her.
But then they ran into a bump. Daniel hadn't thought to ask when Milo's birthday was. But they were coming up to a year ad still, Milo hadn't celebrated his sixth birthday yet.
But then, a few weeks before the Vegas Grand Prix, she started coming home with presents. She snuck them into the house and hid them under the bed they shared.
"What's this?" He asked, watching the third time she pushed a toy beneath the bed.
She sat up and dusted off her hands. "Presents. For Milo's birthday."
Daniel moved closer to her. "Honey, when is Milo's birthday?" He asked. He had several Grand Prix coming up; he just had to hope that Milo's birthday didn’t fall on one of those weekends.
"23rd," she answered.
"What, November?"
"November."
"Fuck!" Daniel couldn't stop himself, couldn't stop the words escaping his lips. "Shit, baby. I'm in Vegas that weekend." His head fell against his shoulder and he let out a huff. "I'm gonna get him something good, I promise."
She ran her fingers through his curls. "I know you will, Danny," she said and kissed his forehead.
"I'll arrange for a party, too. And then we can do some when I'm back."
That was exactly how Daniel spent the next few weeks, planning and arranging Milo's birthday. Just like Olivia's birthday, he arranged for a custom made cake. There was a bouncy castle, a magician and more. Daniel was going to do whatever he could to give Milo the best birthday ever.
Milos birthday came around and Daniel wasn't there. Milo said he understood, but everybody could tell just how upset he was. Even more so when Kerry-Ann refused to bring Olivia to the party.
He spent most of his party in his bedroom. The bouncy castle, the custom made cake, the magician. He wanted none of it if his family wasn't all there together.
So Milo didn't enjoy his birthday on the day he turned six. He missed Daniel, he missed Olivia, enjoying it was near impossible. But he did enjoy the cake, the dinosaur cake Daniel had gotten for him.
Daniel was home the next day. He picked Olivia up from her mothers on the way and took them back to his home. Where she was waiting. With sweet, sweet Milo.
"Don't tell Milo, okay Livvy?" Daniel said to her as they pulled up outside. "It's meant to be a surprise."
Olivia mimmicked locking her lips and throwing away the key. She pulled her backpack onto her shoulders and followed her father up to the house. "Did you have fun at the party?" He asked as he pushed the key into the lock and twisted it.
"Oh, mummy wouldn't let me go to the party," she said and walked in, running up to her bedroom.
"What?!" Daniel cried as he dropped his bags.
His shout alone got the attention of everybody in the house. Milo came running down stairs (after his reunion with Olivia) to jump into his arms and she, his beautiful, wonderful girlfriend, came from the kitchen.
Daniel hugged Milo and let him go as he strode towards her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he held her waist. "Hi, baby," she said and kisssd him.
Daniel kissed her back, but pulled away quickly. "Kerry-Ann didn't let her come to Milo's party," he muttered. "That bitch didn't let Olivia go to the party."
"It's okay," she whispered, running her hands through his hair in a soothing manner. "It's okay. We're gonna go and have a nice dinner tonight, right?"
He nodded. "Right. Yeah. Really nice dinner."
Daniel wanted full custody of Olivia. More than anything in the world, he wanted full custody. But, first, he was gonna marry this girl.
a/n: we have reached the penultimate chapter of the Hooked On A Feeling series!! One more to go (but im definitely doing a follow up series dw)

Can you do an Older! Eddie x reader, where they're neighbors, and they tend to be flirty with each other, and one night, they go out and drink like, A LOT, and it ends up with reader calling Eddie "Daddy" and Eddie's like WTH did she just said? But reader doesn't remembers any of that, and after some weeks Eddie decides to go out to another bar with reader again, and Eddie kinda hints what happened last time they went out together, and Eddie ends up revealing what she had said to him and reader' s a blushing mess and panics and starts apologizing but Eddie reassures her (maybe Eddie likes being called daddy?)
I had a lot of fun with this. I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting 🫶🏻

Y/N moved to Hawkins a year ago, she ran from her family and needed to start over. She bought a small home, with a green yard and a good neighborhood. She was friendly and made sure to introduce herself around the block.
She connected with her neighbor, Eddie. He was a gorgeous man, toned, musical, and extremely charming. He had a smile that made her knees buckle and a voice that sent shivers up her spine. Over the months, she found herself flirting with him shamelessly, and happy to see he flirted right back.
She didn't make any moves, she was unsure of his life and if he had his own family. He was older and lived a much more life than she did. But she also couldn't ignore him. She felt a pull towards him.
He couldn't stay away from her either. Not that he tried. He's been married, divorced, and the whole thing. If he found her attractive, and if he felt happier than ever next to her. What's so wrong with that? He knew he was older and that put them at different points in life. But they met and connected. It was a sign of something he believed.
He had no shame in constantly going to her house or calling her to his. They hadn't done anything, and he craved to do a lot more than just talking. He wanted to taste her lips. He wanted her body against his as she cried out. But he also wanted to wake up next to her, go on dates, and show everyone she belonged with him. Something was going on between them but neither had the balls to make it go further.
Until Y/N got a little too drunk.
~~~
Going out to the bar was a common thing they did together. There was a small bar just a few miles from their house, perfect for a drunk walk home.
Y/N drank a bit more than she usually did, and Eddie wasn't going to let her get drunk alone. Both slamming drinks and laughing loudly. Eddie was craving a cigarette but refused to leave her by herself. He didn't speak, just gently grabbed her hand, wrapped her fingers around his pants chain, and led her outside as he tugged for his pack and lighter. She blindly followed, she'd let Eddie bring her anywhere he wanted.
Once outside, she kept her fingers on his chain, loving the way she felt connected to him.
"Want one?" He offered, but she shook her head. She much rather watch him smoke than taste the tobacco off his tongue.
~~
On their walk home, she kept her fingers on his chain, this time dragging him along. She swayed and almost tripped a few times. His body caught her before she hit the ground.
They stumbled into her house, and he led her to the bedroom. Her drunk mind noticed how horny she felt. Her hands were on his chest as she walked him to her bed.
"Whatcha doing there?" He teased, his feet hitting the bed as he fell back. She giggled as she fell on top of him.
"Just wanna have a little fun, daddy." She whispered, her lips on his neck.
He wasn't sure if he heard her right. His thoughts out the window as her mouth sucked on his neck. Her hands felt amazing and her mouth had him breathless. He could feel his bulge growing in his jeans. He wanted to hear her say it again.
"Trust me, I want this too but maybe we should try it sober?" He asked, gently pushing her to his side.
She pouted but nodded. He was right but she was too drunk to know what was happening.
~~~
A few weeks passed, and she hasn't brought up what happened. Eddie figured she didn't remember anything so he didn't want to embarrass her and bring it up. But it hasn't left his head.
They were back out at a bar and Eddie tried to stay focused on the conversation but Y/N could see his head was everywhere else. Both ordered water and stayed sober for the night.
"Something on your mind, handsome?" She teased, sipping her drink as she watched his eyes blink himself back into reality.
"Sorry, sorry. Just, I'm fine. You were saying?" He tried to shake it off. But her eyes were piercing through him. And that hint of lust was there, the same look when the word left her lips.
"Are you seeing someone or something? You won't even look at me." She said, a hint of sadness in her voice. It made her stomach turn to think about him falling for someone else.
"No! That's not it. It's just, do you remember what happened last time we went out?" He asked. She shook her head no.
"Why?"
"Something kinda happened and I can't stop thinking about it." He admitted, his jeans felt tight as he thought about it and as her hand slipped on his thigh.
"Tell me," she encouraged with a smile.
"Well you pushed me on your bed and kissed on my neck..." he started, praying it would connect in her head.
"Oh my God." She whined, removing her hand immediately. "I'm so sorry I practically harassed you! Shit, I can't believe I did that."
"You don't have to apologize, I liked it." He said with a smirk, she couldn't help but feel her thighs clench.
"Really? I didn't make a total fool of myself by throwing myself at you?"
"I told you that I'd like to do it sober." He said, a smile on her face as she bit her lip. He took it as a green light to move closer. His face inches away from hers. Her hand was back on his knee as their bodies melted into each other.
"I'd like to do it sober too."
"Do you remember what you called me? When you were dry-humping my leg and sucking on my neck?" He teased, his hot breath hitting her mouth. She almost felt like she was going to drool. She wanted to yank off his clothes and take him right there.
"No, what did I say?" She teased back.
Eddie smirked and began to quietly moan and whimper. "oh daddy, you feel so big. Oh, Daddy fuck my dirty pus-"
"WHAT?" Y/N screamed in horror. Her face was immediately in her hands as she shoved her face against the sticky bar counter. "I can't ever look at you again"
"Baby, I'm kidding! I'm kidding." Eddie laughed, his hand squeezing her knee. "You didn't say that." He reassured her, and her hot blushed face appeared out of her hands.
"If I did, I think I might die." She whined.
"You did call me Daddy though," Eddie smirked, again laughing as she dove her face into her hands.
"I'm so sorry. This is so embarrassing." Her voice mumbled as she spoke to the counter instead of him.
"It's okay and don't feel embarrassed." He said, then his voice got low, and his mouth was right next to her ear. His breath tickled the skin and she felt goosebumps cover her body. "Daddy liked it." She tried to ignore the ache she felt between her thighs.
"You did?" She mumbled into her hands. Still refusing to look up.
"Look at Daddy when he's talking to you." He said in a demanding tone. Her body followed his words before her brain knew what he said. Her face was inches from his as she looked into his eyes. His hand reached out and grasped hers. Gently placing it on his growing erection. She whimpered as she felt how big he was under her hand.
"I did." He said, a quiet moan leaving his throat when she added pressure and pushed down.
"Maybe I should help?" She asked, standing up as she removed her hand from his lap. She held out her hand and nodded her head towards the small bathroom.
"Damn, I wished you called me that sooner." He said as he grabbed her hand.

Ganon omegaverse 2 baybee
Fluff, male reader, omegaverse, made up Hyrule lore, mentions of the Oracle's as I have been playing seasons and ages again as they're the best Zelda games fight me
🔺🔻🔺🔻🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻🔺🔻
(name) was in awe as he looked at gerudo valley, the endless sand dunes and the hot sun as they took a break at the Kara Kara Bazaar "we prepared clothes for you, the weather's aren't as fair as they are in the castle" Ganon said smoothly as one of the guards presented him with clothes.
Omegas were treated the same as women in Geredo town, many omegas saught refuge there and were welcomed, so it made sense that omegas wore similar clothes as the gerudo people "uberosa has graciously offered to help you in any way" Ganon said and (name) nodded as he was led to the small inn, the Gerudo who ran the Inn bowing to their king "Sav'aaq...my mate needs a place to change his clothes, could we perhaps use a room?" Ganon was calm and kind to his people who nodded "o-of course! It would be our honor!" One said and they were led to a large bedroom "Sarqso" Ganon said and (name) said a soft thank you with a curtsy to them much to their suprise.
"Uberosa can help you change as needed...I'll be outside" Ganon said smoothly and (name) nodded, the trip had been a bit of a blur so far.
"Did you know of the engagement?" Uberosa asked casually as she helped him clasp anything and adjust, when needed "I wish I did... I-I don't know why my sister would keep something like that...not just from me but from everyone-- aside from betraying me she could have caused /war/"
"The pain it would cause both our people... it's selfish of her" he said and Uberosa was quite shocked, so far the Omega seemed dainty and like many omegas in upper class status but to hear him openly call the Queen selfish /and/ think of not just his people but the Gerudo was quite refreshing.
"I formally apologize for my sister's negligence" (name) bowed to the Gerudo who pulled him up "Fret not little Omega, you are not responsible for your sisters actions"
"I just hope I can make a good impression with your people"
"/Our/"
"Hm?"
"You are mates to my brother, you too are a Gerudo"
"Wait-- you're his sister?" (Name) whispered in awe "you're my sister in law?"
"I am" she smiled softly at his look if awe "A-and you do combat? That's so cool! Zelda knew how to use a sword but I wasn't allowed because I was an Omega, gosh I have so much to learn about the Gerudo people!"
Uberosa found the smaller Omega (compared to her any Hylian was tiny) quite fascinating as she helped him finish up, dressed in lovely Gerudo clothes, the poor Omega fitting in their more teen sizes.
"Fit like a Gerudo" Ganon said smiling as he could see (name) beam from behind the delicate silk that covered his mouth "you think? It's so much more light weight than Hylian clothes" he said happily and Ganon led him back to the carriage "you look wonderful".
The valley was vast as Ganon pointed out things in the far distances, landmarks and such "that is the temple though it's far to dangerous to go into at the moment" he explained and (name) nodded, fully paying attention as he looked at where the other pointed. Ganon found his curiosity precious and was incredibly pleased his mate loved the valley as much as he did "this will be your home, so it's best you know things about it that aren't from books" he looked at (name)s outfit, enjoying the sight of his exposed stomach and knew (name) was sneaking glances at him, the male Gerudo clothes showing his muscles fully and he could faintly smell the attraction from the other who desperately tried to hide his scent.
"Welcome to Gerudo town" he said as they stopped before the sandstone walls that hid the large city, Ganon stepping out as the door opened to help the Omega out and smiling internally at the look of awe on his face "better than the books?"
"Far..." The hot sand slid slightly against his flats, the hot desert Sun like no other but he was giddy none the less.
Between the sandstone buildings were vibrant shades of colored fabrics as stalls lined the townsquare, merchants selling their wares and the sound of water from the stream running through the city. He felt his body shake in excitement and eyes looked around with wonder "you live here?"
"We live here" Ganon said to the other who flushed slightly "we can give you a tour of the town tomorrow, for now we should get you settled in yes?"
The rooms were grand, soft looking blankets and pillows adorned the room he was led to as windows looked out the endless cast desert "I prepared you a room of your own, I didn't want you to feel pressured sharing quarters with me just yet" (name) chirped at his kindness as Ganon took his hands in his own and gently kissed the knuckles "I will leave you to settle"
When night rolled around, (name) had a blanket wrapped around his shoulders as he gazed through the large windows of his room, the valley was beautiful at night as stars littered the sky like flecks of paint... It was like nothing he had seen before at the castle. It was colder too, the Omega shivering slightly under the thick blanket "troubles sleeping?" (Name) turned around to see Ganon dressed in a Bastian shirt and dark pants and shoes.
"It's pretty..." Was all (name) said as his fiance walked to where he was and (name) reached out "care to join me?"
The two couldn't understand their attraction to one another, it was predestined for centuries but it felt like the stars aligned in their favor.
"Absolutely"
(Name) let himself be sat in ganons lap as they looked at the stars, (name) pointing to the constellations that were not able to be seen from Hyrule Castle, what he learned in his books coming in handy as he spoke "that is the constellation for din, it's said the star shines brighter when a season changes" he explained and Ganon hummed "in Hyrule, we could only see farores... What do you think the Oracle's were like?"
"I was told that Din was a traveller, a Nomad one could say... She was one of the first to settle in Gerudo valley..." Ganon said softly, holding pride in his people "it's said nayru still lives, she travels through time and visits periods and watches over to make sure time stays right"
"And farore?"
"None is known about her but it's said she travelled to ta neighboring kingdom and lived in a tree not unlike our Deku tree" ganons voice was soothing as (name) settled in his chest, the smell of spices and honey comforting him as his eyes slipped shut, enjoying the sweet words his fiance spoke.
Ganon stopped speaking when he felt (name) slump, smiling at the Omega who was sleeping so gently against him.
He was truly made for him.

Last Christmas | Rafe Cameron
Kinzi's 25 Days of Christmas: Blogmas day 3
Summary: It's Christmas in Outer Banks, the holiday where you got to spend time with your friends. It's hard to enjoy the holiday when your mind goes back to last Christmas and who you were spending it with.
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warning(s): a few cuss words, hints at ward cameron being a unaliver, mentions of breakup, soft! rafe.
Disclaimer: in this imagine Rafe did NOT kill peterkin and he’s not psycho. He’s a normal boy who just needed some extra love. So in this imagine Ward will be the villain 100% and Rafe 0% (besides breaking up)
*Gif not mine* *Not proofread or edited!*

*Christmas Eve - OBX*
It had been 11 months since you had been in Outer Banks, your breakup with your ex-boyfriend had been too hard on you to stay. After that you felt the need to leave Outer Banks and your family had finally convinced you to come back and spend the holidays with them. You knew that they would try to convince you to stay and not go back to living with your aunt on the mainland, however, you were unsure if that would be the best choice.
"Y/N!" Sarah shouted as she ran to hug you. The big house your family parked outside of looked familiar, but no longer felt like home. It wasn't what you were used too, or maybe it was what was no longer with you. "I am so glad your back, we've missed you around here." she stated pulling away from the hug.
You were like Sarah, born a kook but turned into a pogue. The only difference is that your family did not make a difference between the kooks and pogues. There had been many times when your family had fed the pogues or gave them a place to stay when they needed it. Your family was very understanding, and you appreciated every little thing they did for your friends.
"Only back for the holidays." Y/N told her as the two headed into the big house that she used to call home. The girl's quickly made their way up to the room that was her’s so they could get Y/N settled in. “It feels unreal, being back in this bedroom.” She muttered memories of her and her ex flooded her mind. No one knew Rafe Cameron the way that Y/N. While he was trouble, most of the time, he was caring around her. Well, she thought so anyways.
Sarah gave the girl a small smile, “there’s a party, John B decided to have a Christmas celebration.” The Cameron girl spoke. “Your parents allowed them to use your guest house, out back…” she trailed off. Knowing that the idea of a party would make the girl nervous.
“Why would they do that?” Y/N asked going through her clothes knowing she’d be dragged to this party regardless of what she wanted.
Sarah shrugged, “John B said it was a “get together” type thing and you know how your family is about welcome home celebrations.” She explained watching the girl shuffle through the clothes that she was putting away. “You’re just back for the holidays, remember? Let’s make the most of it with our friends.”
🎄
By 10 that night the party was on, the guest house behind Y/N’s house was overflowing with guests who had greeted the girl back with open arms. She had showed up an hour late, due to worrying about what to wear, how to do her hair and makeup, and stalling in hopes of not seeing him.
“Y/N, the life of the party decided to come back to us!” JJ Maybank yelled over the music as the girl joined the pogues in the den. “Y/N, you know my girlfriend Kiara, right?” He asked smuggled.
Y/N’s eyes widen in shock, “really, you two? When did that happen?” She asked surprised about her friends becoming lovers.
“Let’s just say that you’ve missed a lot.” Kiara spoke before pulling the girl into a bone crushing hug, “it’s good to see you again.”
“Likewise,” y/n spoke with a smile. “If you’ll excuse me, I don’t want to be rude so your guest of honor is going to go grab a drink.”
Y/N made her way through the crowd and into the cramped kitchen. She was pouring herself a drink and just thinking about her life. She had thought that being back made her feel out of place, that was until she was next to her friends then she felt at home.
“I’ll be damned,” a voice spoke from behind her as she slowly stopped pouring her drink. “I honestly didn’t think I’d see you again.” The voice of her former friend continued.
Y/N sat her cup on the kitchen counter and turned around to face the man behind her. “Kelce,” she greeted with a smile. “It’s good to see you.” She added as she stepped forward and pulled the man into a hug.
“It’s great to see you.” He replied as they pulled away. He glanced around the kitchen before looking back at her. “Have you seen him since you’ve been back?” He asked carefully unsure of how the the girl would reply.
Y/N shook her head as she turned around the grab her drink, “I was hoping to avoid him.” She mumbled before taking a sip of the drink. “It hurt, bad.” She shrugged thinking back to last Christmas and how close they were. “I had to get out and I don’t plan on ever coming back permanently.” She spoke the truth. At this current time, she had no plans of staying in outer banks.
Kelce gave her a sad smile, “I know Rafe puts on a facade, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t hurt too.” The man told his best friend’s ex. He knew that the two of them were inseparable and truth be told, Rafe didn’t tell anyone as to why they broke up.
Y/N rolled her eyes at the man in front of her before playing with her fingers. “Maybe but-” she cut herself when she looked around kelce and locked eyes with the one man that she planned to avoid. “I have to go.” She mumbled after looking away from Rafe. She walked around kelce and made her way back to the pogues.
It was going to be a long night and she knew it.
The party had been going on for a few hours and everyone was either drunk, passed out, making out, or playing games. Y/N had only had two drinks, making her pretty much sober because she didn’t trust herself if she was to get drunk. No matter where she went tonight she felt as if Rafe was following her or he knew her next step. She had locked eyes with him many times tonight and each time it got her heart racing, her hands sweaty, and made her nervous.
She didn’t understand why he still made her feel that way. After all, she was over him! Or was she? “Hey guys,” Y/N called as she walked over to the pogues. “Thank you guys for this Christmas slash welcome back party, but I’m super tired so I think I’m gonna walk back over and head to bed.” She told them. She gave them all hugs and said good night before leaving the guest house and heading back over to her house.
She was beyond excited to be able to go to sleep. Her parents were going on their houseboat tonight with some friends, so she’d have the house to herself and could relax all she needed. She knew that in order to face tomorrow and the days to come that she would need to get herself together.
“Did you honestly think you wouldn’t run into him at some point?” She asked herself in her head. She knew that she would at least see him, but she was hoping that he wouldn’t see her back or that she could avoid him.
Y/N pushed open her bedroom door while unzipping her dress. She was beyond ready to get out of that dress and get into comfortable clothes. “Holy shit!” She jumped when she moved her head up. Her hand instinctively went over her heart because of how fast it was beating.
Sitting in her desk chair beside her bed was Rafe Cameron. He didn’t have his usually cocky expression on his face, but a soft smile did form when he realized he had accidentally scared her. “I’m sorry,” his voice came out quietly and soft. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
Y/N scoffed eyeing the man in front of her, “you didn’t mean to startle me? Why are you in my room?”
“I wanted to talk and I knew you’d run at the party.” Rafe shrugged as he pushed himself up from the desk chair.
“You lost the privilege to come over unannounced when you broke it off last year.” Y/N told him as she felt her chest get heavy at the thought of how things ended. She would’ve done anything for Rafe and everyone knew it, so whenever he broke it off… it was a shock.
“You never let me explain,” Rafe started as he walked a bit closer, but Y/N just scooted back not wanting him to get close. Mainly because she was afraid she’d give in. “A lot happened after you left and some of it is still going on.”
“Maybe it has, but Sarah also told me about your new girlfriend.” Y/N replied seeing his eyes darkened for a moment before he let out a huff. “I was obviously the problem with something going on in your head.”
Y/N knew that Rafe had anxiety and depression. she also knew that he was yearning to make his father proud because Sarah was their favorite. She had been with him through everything and that’s why she didn’t understand why he left her.
Rafe ran a hand through his hair before taking another step closer causing Y/N’s back to hit the wall when she stepped away. “My father wanted me to do his dirty work and I was afraid that he would hurt you if I refused.” Rafe explained the girl that he loved, even if he never told her. “I broke it off so you would be safe and he couldn’t use you against me. The one Sarah told you about was a distraction I was with her to replace you and it never worked.”
Y/N could see the sincerity in his eyes as he spoke about his father and his ex girlfriend. “I loved you, Rafe. I would’ve done anything for you and you know it!” She spoke her voice coming out in a whisper.
“I know that, baby.” Rafe spoke back equally as quiet. “Which is why I broke it off, he was crazy and the things he wanted me to do… I needed you here and I needed you alive.” He took another step and that made him right in front of the girl that he had fallen in love with himself. “I’ve always loved you, Y/N. I never properly said it but I do.”
Y/N sucked in a breath, her emotions weighing down on her. He just admitted his true feelings, something that he never did when they were actually together. It was surreal hearing those words come out of his mouth, something that she had never expected. "Then why not try to get through it?" she asked the hurt in her voice showing. "Last Christmas was the last good memory we have, and we didn't even break up until New Years Day."
"If my dad didn't do what he did then we would still be together." Rafe promised.
Y/N's eyes teared up thinking about losing Rafe, she had been with other people and for some reason she had fallen head over heels in love with Rafe Cameron. She was slowly accepting the fact that she was still very much in love with the Cameron boy.
"When are you going to stop living to please your family?" She asked softly. "You are so much more than what your family thinks of you, who cares what they view you as. You deserve to be loved, Rafe. You need to believe that." she whispered softly so she wouldn't make his softness break.
Rafe's eye matched Y/Ns as both of them held tears threatening to fall. He knew that Y/N understood his situation and never once judged him for it. Making him know that she was definitely a keeper and the one for him. Without saying anything, he quickly slammed his lips to hers. Scared that she would reject the kiss if she thought about it too long. He knew his way around her overthinking, seeing as he had helped her with it many times.
Y/N did not object the way he thought she would, instead she yearned for him. She had wanted him since she left outer banks and she had wanted him when she locked eyes with him in her guest kitchen earlier. If he was willing to be with her, even just for the night, she was going to take it. Because at least for one moment, it can feel like the love they had Last Christmas was still alive.
Author's Note: So, I was originally going to base this imagine as "Last Christmas" by WHAM! Turns out I went a different direction and a part two will come out the next time I write for Rafe. I think that it's in a week or two, so if you enjoyed it, I hope you'll stay looking for that. I also feel like this could have been better and that it could have been smoother, but it is what it is. Also, sorry this is so late! I had the stomach virus (stomach flu) and I felt miserable and today is the only day I started feeling like myself and I have also finished all my finals so now I am back to full time writing, excluding my work shifts!

As consciousness seeped into his body and his senses slowly awakened, he was hit with a few realizations that quickened the process of waking up. He couldn't hear Génesis babbling away in her crib nor the loud strays he often fed mewling for food outside. The springs in the mattress beneath him dug slightly into his skin and the smell of cheap booze and perfume lingering in the air invaded his nostrils. The mattress abruptly dipped slightly and strands of hair tickled his shoulder, startling the exhaustion fully out of his system.
The room around him was unfamiliar. The walls were covered in chipping paint, there were enough clothes on the floor to give to twenty people, random bottles of water and beer were sat about in different places, and there were odd stains on the barely visible rug. The chaos and mess of the room made his skin itch. (Y/N) exhaled quietly and tilted his head to look at the owner of the bedroom. Shit.
"I can't wait for ya'll to meet them. I swear, they are the kindest people in this whole city." (Y/N) hummed, absentmindedly listening to his cousin's girlfriend go on and on about their neighbors, the Gallagher family, as he raked his fingers through his eldest daughter's hair and detangled the small knots that had formed. Veronica held his other daughter at her hip, cooing and clicking her tongue to keep the toddler entertained whilst they made their way over to the tall house right next door.
"V's right, (Y/N). You'll love 'em. Debs and Talia are gonna get along great." Kevin piped in and scrunched up his face at Génesis, a wide smile breaking out on his face when she burst into giggles and gleefully clapped her tiny hands together. Talia clutched her dolls close to her chest and tentatively peered up at the house when they entered through the front yard.
"I bet Carl's going to be tripping over himself when he sees Talia." Veronica giggled and gently pinched one of Talia's reddened cheeks, listening to her boyfriend pound loudly on the front door until it swung open and a teen's freckled face greeted them. He looked between them all curiously and a fond smile appeared on his lips when he noticed the bundled-up toddler in Veronica's hands.
"Hi, I'm Ian." He introduced himself a bit meekly and stuck out a lanky arm to shake (Y/N)'s hand before stepping back and allowing them to enter the house. The house seemed bigger with an archway connecting the living room to the kitchen and dining room. There were two staircases on opposite sides of the house leading up to the second story, nearly each step covered in toys and beer cans alike. It looked like a tornado had rampaged throughout the rooms but (Y/N) tried to contain his judgment and put on a smile for the family. Veronica had mentioned there was only a twenty-one-year-old managing all five of her younger siblings with their drunk father occasionally crashing on the couch.
"Oh, a baby!" A little girl not much older than Talia squealed and sprang up from the couch, nearly trampling her brother in the process of reaching them and earning a swift glare. She jumped up onto her toes and smiled widely as she delicately ran her finger over the back of Génesis's hand, cooing softly and introducing herself. "Hi, baby. I'm Debbie."
"Guys, I'd like you to meet (Y/N) and his daughters, Génesis and Talia. They're going to be stayin' with us next door for a little while so make them feel at home, alright?" Veronica called into the living room, barely drawing the other teenager and his little brother's attention away from the action movie playing on the television. She scoffed quietly and muttered under her breath before flashing the woman heading down the stairs a smile. The pretty brunette returned it and gasped softly at the sight of Génesis in her arms.
"Well, aren't you a pretty little thing?" She cooed warmly and chuckled sweetly at Debbie's fascination with the baby, one hand rising to comb back the hairs sticking out from Debbie's ponytail. He assumed she was Fiona Gallagher, the eldest daughter taking care of all the kids. Fiona was tall and slim, almost lanky like her brother but held a more at-ease air to herself than he did. The bags under her eyes were subtle, just barely noticeable, and her hair had been tied up into a messy ponytail that barely restrained the wavy locks. She looked up from Génesis and met his eyes. Her brows slightly lifted and her lips parted and closed, a hint of red spreading across her cheeks.
"Nice to meet you, Fiona."
He'd promised himself before leaving Kentucky he'd stay in his lane, that he wouldn't involve himself with anyone again for a while. Talia's mother had been one thing, someone he couldn't bring himself to be resentful despite her refusal to be in their daughter's life. They'd been two naive fourteen-year-olds messing around who faced the consequences of not being more careful. Becoming involved with Génesis's mother, however, had been his fault. The lengthy criminal record and history of short relationships should've been big enough red flags to abort ship before they could be tied together permanently, but he'd ignored them and her own recklessness led to her incarceration. Two failed relationships, two motherless daughters. With his shit luck, he could only hope Fiona was on some sort of birth control.
"Fucking hell." He sighed heavily and rubbed his palm over his face, making vain attempts at ignoring the subtle throbbing in his temple. (Y/N) pushed himself up and swung his legs over the edge, picking his briefs up from the floor and slipping them on. Fiona groaned quietly behind him and he peered over his shoulder at her as she rubbed her eyes and stretched out across the small bed, the mattress beneath her creaking with each movement.
"Jesus, I did a number on your back. Sorry about that." She chuckled and tucked some of her frizzy hair behind her ear a bit sheepishly. Fiona sat up and leaned back against the wall, one arm reaching out to rummage through the nightstand until she found a cigarette pack and pulled one out. Dangling one between her fingers in his direction, she said, "We should do that again sometime."
"No, Fiona, this wasn't supposed to happen. I- I have too much on my plate right now to deal with... whatever you want this to become. I don't need the girls getting confused either. I appreciate the warm welcome into the neighborhood but... for your sake and mine, we should just stay as neighbors."

7 YEAR STRETCH
Jen and i had been married for 7 years. We had a 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Our sex life was non exist. It consisted of me sitting on the toilet looking at my phone jerking off. This was what I did now. I mean I couldn't blame Jen with two kids all day it was hard to not be exhausted every night. I thought. After our son was born she wanted nothing to do with sex. Pushing me away even if I touched her. After awhile I stopped trying. Our sin would be two next week. It had been two years since we had sex. Jen had managed to get in better shape then she was before two kids. I often got hard just watching her get dressed.
"I am going out tonight with the girls so you got the kids" Jen told me Friday morning.
"No problem" I responded she always came home in much better mood after a girl's night out. Jen was already dressed when I came home.
"Wow, you look amazing" I told her.
"Now you notice" she said smug as she grabbed her keys and left. I fed and got the kids in bed. Then sat and watched some TV. But found myself scrolling thru my phone and quickly found myself on literotica reading cuckold stories. I almost wished Jen still liked sex. I would love to watch her take a big cock. I thought as I jerked off several times as I jerked off to the stories. I was in bed dead asleep by the time Jen came home. I woke with the kids the next morning letting Jen sleep. She got up around 11. The kids and I where outside playing in their little pool. I came in to grab a towel. And Jen was in a short robe making coffee. She made a wierd smile as I passed.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing just forgot" she said.
"Sorry forgot what?" I laughed
"Nothing forget it" she smiled and ran back out to dry off the kids. I got the kids inside and changed into dry clothes. I went to change out of my suit. Jen had returned to bed she was scrolling thru he phone. I pulled off my suit and went to grab so dry underwear when I caught Jen suppress her laugh.
"Did you shrink?" she spit out.
"Fuck you" I shot back.
"No, I do t think you even want me to" she shot back.
"What the hell does that mean?" I tried not to yell. She tossed the phone she had been scrolling thru my phone.
"Come here" Jen said pulling back the covers I realized she was naked. If I was mad at her I forgot why. I climbed on top of her.
"Wait" she said "I saw what you play with yourself to" she said her hands running down my back as she held my hardon between her thighs. "How long have you known?" She asked
"Known what?" I asked. Just wanting to fuck her.
"That I been cuckolding you of course" she replied.
"What?" I sputtered "who, how"
"Shh, it's okay. Now I know you like it" she moved her legs ever so slightly rubbing me between her thighs.
"Is your little pee pee all excited" she teased I was ready to cum already when I heard our daughter start crying. I didn't want to get up. But Jen stopped
"Better go check, I will be here when you come back" she told me. I rushed to get dressed and check on the kids. It took longer then I had wished to return. Jen was in the shower. I tried to join her
"We can finish our chat later" she told me. She got dressed and we spent the rest of the day shopping. She decided to discuss how she had been cuckolding me for over a year with several people I knew. While being cryptic in front of the kids. She explained it had started when I showed no interest in sleeping with her. She loved me but did not want to spend her life as a nun. So she found a lover. Then another, there had been six but two of them had been one time things. She explained. She was convinced I just didn't want sex. I had completely stopped even trying. Now she knew why after reading the stories I read. This kept me on edge all day. By the time we got home, got the kids feed battled and in bed it had been a soul searching day.
Jen invited me to join her in the bedroom. She sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Take your clothes off" she smiled. I quickly stripped. She remained fully clothed. She reached out and stroked me.
"The first time was Jack Rudolph" she told me. He was a member of our church. "I was volunteering with that carnival" she reminded me. "Jack gave me a ride home every night" she continued I did remember she was stroking me very slowly. "So I thought I should repay him" she told me. That was it I came hard all over her hand.
"Do you eat your own cum like in the story?" Jen asked offering me her hand. I nodded no.
"OH to bad that would be so hot" she told me. She washed her hand and we cuddled I was still naked while she remained clothed. We watched TV till I fell asleep.
I woke to Jen stroking me again.
"Wake up little one" she giggled in my ear. "I was thinking last night. I am willing to bring you back into my sex life under some conditions" she told me.
"Anything" I moaned.
"First I kinda like some of the things in the stories, to remind you of your place" she told me.
"So I would like you to shave and wear my panties whenever i am with a man" she told me. I nodded just wanting to cum.
"I also think you would like to know when I was with someone else so no more lying" she told me. I came again she seemed annoyed she wasn't done.
"And you will eat cum" she said out of frustration and pushed her cum covered fingers in my mouth. At first shocked but the taste wasn't bad. I found myself licking her fingers clean.
"I am going to enjoy this very much" Jen told me. She had me get up and get the kids ready for the day.

Resident evil: Village characters with a S/O with powers like Rose
Gifs not mine!
Tumblr media
Lady Dimitrescu
Once she finds out you have those type of powers she is thrilled!
But, wait until she finds out that you, her darling S/O, is the ‘perfect’ vessel for Eva.
She also learns that Mother Miranda is looking for you.
Time to go on lock down. Im not kidding. She will lock you in her room when Mother Miranda visits, and you can’t go anywhere outside.
She was always a little clingy, but now? You are always near her. You are never leaving her side.
Her daughters are guard dogs when the mistress of the house is gone. No one is allowed near you except for the Dimitrescu daughters, not even the maids can be near you.
If you beg to go outside, she will put up a huge fight. Good luck, your never going outside again.
Donna & Angie
Tumblr media
Donna found your powers out when you and Angie were playing. One of the dolls jumped up and scared you and you put your hands up and shrieked, causing your powers to activate and push away the doll.
Angie looked at you and squealed “[Name]! H-how did you do that? That was so cool! Do it again, please!”
You started crying, scared that Donna was mad at you for doing what you did.
Donna ran over to you and hugged you, promising you that she could never get mad at you. And that what you did was an accident, and you didn’t mean it.
But, Donna is scared, she knows that Mother Miranda is looking for someone with a similar power. And her fears were confirmed a week later.
She was at a ‘family meeting’ when Mother Miranda showed a picture of her S/O on the screen, claiming that you were the perfect vessel for Eva.
Angie and Donna nearly had a heart attack. “What?!” Angie says while looking at Donna scared, “what happens if Mother Miranda finds her?! We have to lock her in her room! Or in the basement where our friends can keep her safe!” Angie was freaking out and wanted to go home immediately but they had to wait.
Once the meeting was over the two raced to the house, scared that Mother Miranda has already found you. Even though Mother Miranda didn’t know you were Donna’s S/O, they still were scared.
Once they get there they ushered you into Donna’s room and quickly locked the door, saying they will give you an explanation later.
A week later they let you out of the bedroom (don’t worry, you got fed and you got to use the bathroom, with Donna or Angie watching you) once your out of the bedroom, you notice how heavily guarded the house is and asked Donna.
She told you everything and almost broke down, just like Lady Dimitrescu, you are not allowed to leave the house, never
And when you and Donna go to bed, Angie is now beside you and Donna holds you a lot more tighter then what she used to.
Good luck getting out of her grasp!
Moreau
Tumblr media
Honestly, I didn’t want to write him 😭 I’m sorry! 😭
He would cry, he would actually cry when he finds out the Mother Miranda is looking for you.
When Miranda comes to visit, he literally shoves you in a closet and locks you in there until she leaves.
You are always by his side
Your never leaving his side, he is too scared. And he would cry if he lost you.
He is so scared, he is always holding your hand and demanding cuddles to help him feel better.
Karl H.
Tumblr media
He is FREAKING OUT
“Oh. Hell. No” he would be damned if he let that feathery fuck take you away from him.
All he wants to do is keep you safe, he doesn’t want to lose you, your the only one that cares for him, he just cant lose you.
He would have nightmares about it. Bad ones. To the point where he is actually SOBBING and you have to cuddle and kiss him to sleep. He will hold you TIGHT
Just like everyone else your not allowed alone or outside. But Karl is even more protective.
Omg you are never allowed out of his sight, the only time your allowed out of his sight, is when he is doing his more…gruesome projects, he just knows that your going to have to see it eventually, but he is not going to allow you to see it right now.
There is always a Lycan around you, even when Karl is there to watch you, they are still there. If that power seeking bitch comes around unexpectedly, the Lycan’s will report it immediately, no matter what, so Karl always knows!
He puts you in the biggest part of the factory so there is a slim chance that bitch doesn’t see you but if she does, he has a backup plan, and there is a backup plan for his backup plan for his backup plan and….you get the point.
He is all about your safety and happiness, seeing you happy makes him happy!
Please, never leave him. He can’t live without you, he loves you with all his heart!
Oh did I mention that there are cameras and radio’s everywhere?? No? Ok, well now you know! You are fully protected, yay!
Just, don’t leave him, please! :)
That’s it! Please request, I’m desperate! 😭

The manor was quite, the morning dew coated the windows, leaving the outside world hidden from the child's bedroom, She who had just rosen from her slumber, tired eyes and small yawns escaping her lips as the room was dimly lit, the sun slowly sinking upon the curtains, letting the floor be coated in a warm haze. Every morning was like this, the child running down the staircase with her nightgown fluttering with the force of the air as she sprinted down the stairs, twisting around every corner, practically bouncing off the walls as she rushed endlessly to her fathers room.
Alucard was always awake before them, ready to start the day before his daughter; yet he waited. He would hear her little feet patter against the wooden floors of the castle, chuckling quietly as he always pretended to be asleep the moment she opened the door before jumping into his bed. Some days she would doze back off in his care, but on days like this she jumped headfirst into his chest.
“Oof! Little lady, what a brute way to awaken your father!” The Man would shoot a playful glare at her which was always met with the brightest grin she could manage, Mornings were always warm, As if nothing could go wrong in the day before the sun would signal that it was noon.
“I woke up first again papa! That means we get to work on the flowers again!” Alucard smiled at his daughter, stroking her hair while nodding. He had always promised if she woke up earlier than him then she could choose the chore for the day, and she almost always chose to do garden work, or work outside. This was something they enjoyed to do together, something simple in the warm sun, Alucard didn't mind the sun, compared to others it had no ill effect on him but truth be told It did make him a bit more sluggish towards the end of the day, but perhaps that was himself who conditioned that sort of thought.
“Garden work again (y/n)? I thought we agreed the attic needed dusting.” He teased the small child, but she stood proudly before jumping off the bed in a huff, twirling around to grab her fathers hand and lift him from the confinement of his comforter.
“You said I could choose! You lost!”
“Yes yes of course dear, now, we need to get you some food before we begin, work in the sun is always tasking on you.” He smiled softly, changing into a comfortable but far more appropriate outfit to start the day, for neither of them could work in nightgowns. He handed her the change of clothes and she rushed off to change. Her footsteps echoing through the walls as she raced back, he left his room and made way to the kitchen on the ground floor.
“Fruits, and some toast should be good, I’ll make us an early lunch anyways since we will be outside..” He murmured quietly to himself as he continued to prep the fruits. The gas stove warmed the pan and right as he began to place the bread onto it with a dash of butter the young girl ran back in.
“Papa!” She smiled widely and took it upon herself to grab the pitcher of water off of the counter, carefully tipping it into two different crystal glasses. They once had a dining room table they shared in the dining room itself. Ever since she had grown past the age of four they both agreed they preferred to eat closer, so they had a set of chairs sat at the counter by the window, which was their ‘new’ table. They only used the dining table when closer friends and family came over; which is rare.
“Darling, do you want to plant the rose bushes? Or perhaps we can work on the stone structure in the front part? As long as you don't make me do it all again.” The small girl giggled at her father before the plate was placed in front of her, he sighed as he stared at her hair, It was a mess and tangled beyond belief.
“You didn't brush your hair after your bath did you?” He shook his head, stifling a small chuckle and she turned back around with full cheeks, stuffed with the mix of sliced fruit with a dash of honey.
“Nwo… Forgwot” She spoke before he was able to cover her mouth which was full of food.
“Don't speak with a mouth full of food little one..” She swallowed quickly and puffed her cheeks slightly, her eyebrows furrowing before he pulled her hair back to rest off the back of her shoulder before grabbing a comb and ribbon.
“Eat up (y/n), I'll comb through the knots, we don't want the dirt getting into your pretty hair or we will have to spend twice as long washing it all out.” His fingers slowly separated strands, making sure to take the comb carefully, unraveling them in ways that would hurt the least. She ate quietly before putting a strawberry on her fork and pointing it in the direction of her father who looked over and smiled before taking a bite of the strawberry.
“Thank you little one, Do you want your hair braided? It’s a bit windy outside and I don't want you to get overwhelmed with your hair loose or in a tail.”
“Can I have a braid? But I want papa to have a braid too.” His eyes widened a bit, surprised to see the young girl so eager to share a hairstyle with him, so he smiled and nodded. “Yes I suppose so.”
He slowly braided the hair, making sure It was secure, wanting it to last until they were done with outside work. She tends to get distracted by the critters out and about and chases them around.
“Can I try to braid yours papa?” She turned around and looked genuine, seemingly wanting to give her father a hand with the workload, he sat for a moment, pondering the question as he tied the ribbon around the ends of her hair, tucking any loose pieces behind her ear. He turned his chair to her, sitting with his back facing his daughter.
“Go ahead little one, first you take three strands and slowly weave them together, think of it almost like making a basket like we did when Uncle Trevor visited us.” She seemed excited, wishing nothing more but to make her fathers hair look as pretty as he did for hers. She had done ponytails or simply brushed it and decorated it with a few clips in her jewelry box.
It was small moments like this that made Alucard wonder how he ever had the chance to have this little girl as his daughter, how anyone could look at his (y/n) and just drop her off in a box in the forest, left to be a meal by other monsters that lurked within them. He had felt lucky to be her father, to have such a smart child, such a caring and sweet one, albeit a handful from time to time, he never stopped being proud to be her father.
“I'm done! You look pretty too now!” he smiled softly, pulling the braid over his shoulder; examining her work. She had done wonderfully, sure there were a few strands a bit loose but It didn't bother him one bit when he saw how happy she was, and for a moment he felt like his mother. He saw his own once childish smile in his daughters, and he felt his mothers presence as he looked softly at her. Nothing but adoration and pride shone in his thoughts as she looked so unbelievably gleeful at his hair.
“It looks gorgeous little one, thank you. You should have told your father you could braid so beautifully, I'll make you braid out pie crust from now on!” He chuckled and picked her up, enjoying the warmth at that moment. She rested on his hip as they both spun in the kitchen, her giggles filled the room before he dipped her, pretending to drop her before catching her and placing her down onto the floor.
“Well, are we planting the roses or fixing the stones?” They stared for a moment but then she looked out the window.
“Roses, But you have to dig the holes!” She ran off, leaving her father to trail behind, smiling softly at how happy he was, even if his family was small, It was his and he wouldn't ever change it.
≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾
Ahhhhh I love writing these so much… Biggest comfort in the world is writing my cc as fathers, they make me so happy and dear god Alucard my beloved man. As always I hope you all enjoyed this, I had planned to do a bit more, though I thought it was a sweet ending seeing them softly bicker as you run off.
Stay healthy, happy, and hydrated everyone!<3

The sun always rises again (Farrier x fem!oc) Part II.
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Part I
Summary: 1940 Dunkirk, France. Farrier, Collins and thousands of soldiers are fighting at the same time they're waiting for their evacuation. The Air Force is exactly where they need them to be. || In Sussex, his wife and kids are awaiting for him, although something tells Maggie that it wasn't going to be easy.
Warnings: Angst. Some old fashioned thoughts. Mentions of war and all related to it. Daisy Preston belongs to @emotionalcadaver. || Same as I did with Farrier, I also invented Collins' name.
Words: 3k.
Tumblr media
1938-1940
"I bought you something," Maggie said giving him a small box that contained a new watch.
"Love, you didn't have to. It's really nice."
"I wanted you to have something that reminds you of me. It has our initials engraved on the back.
"And our wedding date," he added reading it.
Maggie nodded. She had been avoiding to show her sorrow, but every minute it has become difficult to achieve.
They needed him, of course they needed him. An elite pilot as he was, it was always necessary. The air force was an essential part of this new, but not unexpected, war. Although probably, no one knew the magnitude of it nor the damage that it was about to cause.
"Jack is already there?" she asked refering to Collins. His best friend and also their son's godfather.
"He is. And the rest of them as well. But they're going to separate us. Although, at least, Collins and I we're going to be in the same group."
"Together as always," Maggie said trying to smile. But a single tear betrayed her.
William knew she was trying to show him that she was going to be fine, that she was strong so he could leave without worrying, but he knew better. Of course his wife was strong and was perfectly capable of taking care of the house, the kids and herself. But that didn't mean she was okay with it. Farrier put the watch in his pocket and hugged her. He felt her hands clutching his jacket and how she started to sob against his chest.
"I promise to be back, sweetheart. To you and to the kids."
"I'm scared," Maggie finally confessed.
"I know, love. But, I'll be back and when I do, I think we can make another mini-us," he said, putting his hand on her belly and smiling at her. "Or two. We did it well before."
"Maybe we can," she admitted, feeling his arms embracing her tightly.
"I know I don't say it so frequently as I should, but I love you, Maggie. I really love you."
"I know you do, Will. I don't need you to tell me it all the time, I can see it. You're the most perfect husband I could ask for. I wish I could do something about this and prevent you to go to hell."
"You can't. But I'll survive."
Alone in the kitchen, William kissed his wife. It was a soft, slow kiss. Like trying to keep this memory of them together for the last time forever in his mind. Her hand was caressing his cheek and he had the other against his chest. Her tears fell down her cheeks and he could taste them in his own mouth but he didn't mind. When they pulled apart, he wiped them away with his thumb.
"You don't know how lucky I am," William said looking at her. "I love you, Maggie."
"I love you too, Will."
A car outside was already waiting for him, but he took his time to kiss her again.
Their kids were in the living room. Clara ran into his father arms and hid her little face in his neck "don't go, papa."
"I have to, Clarie, but I'm going to return, yes? Be a good girl. Can you promise me that? Help your mother, okay darling?"
The little girl nodded. Then, William turned to look at his son "you too, Ed. You're the man of the house, now. Don't make your mother angry and helped her. She needs you. Will you behave and help her?"
"Yes, sir!" The kid responded, saluting him.
His father nodded "You're a good little man, Edward."
William kissed Maggie once last time. He touched reddish hair with his fingers. He always loved her hair. In the mornings, when the sunlight entered through the bedroom's window it seemed to shine. And the freckles on her shoulders accentuated that.
Farrier was going to miss his family. He knew that. The last image he saw of them was the children hugging their mother and Maggie looking at him go, without knowing if he was going to return.
Contrary to regular soldiers forced to be on the battlefield for long periods, his position required him to go back to safe place because planes required maintenance and fuel.
After six months there, Farrier asked permission to return home for two weeks as it's was allowed to do but they refused his request. They needed him.
"They needed me, too!" He wasn't a man who easily lost his temper, but sometimes his superiors tested his patience.
Collins and Farrier had a free day. Farrier could call his wife and heard her calmed him a bit. Things back in home were fine. Edward lost one of his deciduous teeth and was happy when he saw that the fairy teeth left him money under his pillow. Although, Maggie said, he was determinated to give his money to the soldiers. Until one of them, gently, told the boy that any soldier could be happy if he kept the coin for himself or bought something nice for his mother.
"He bought me a cake," Maggie said and Farrier knew she was smiling. "Clara, him and me ate it drinking tea that same afternoon."
"He's a good boy. Kind as you are, my love."
"Ed is a little gentleman as his father is," she said "it's really sad that you can't come, Will."
"I'm furious. They promised me time with my family, like the rest of them! It's… it's frustrating. Maybe I can do it for Christmas."
"That would be beautiful. I'm planning to buy a new tree and Clara wants to decorate it with ribbons. Do you remember that doll she saw in town? I bought it already."
William couldn't help but smile imagining the house decorated for holidays. When he was there, the four of them helped to decorate it. The smell of the delicious food, his kids playing in front of the fireplace… he missed them. Marguerite was the best wife and mother he knew. It wasn't egocentrism, but he knew she really missed him. Farrier knew her very well and knew how difficult it was for her and yet, there she was proving herself that she was stronger than she believed.
"You have to go, I know," she said later "I love you."
"I love you too. I'll call as soon as I can."
"I'll be waiting. Kids send you their love, too. Take care, okay, Will?"
"Promise."
.
"If it's helps," Collins said to him later when they were walking into a bar where other soldiers were and looking how annoyed he was, "They don't allowed me to go home either. How's the family?"
"Kids are waiting for Christmas already and Maggie is trying her best to keep them entertained."
"I need to send them something, I think. What kind of cool uncle I am, if not?"
"Edward presumes the planes you sent him to anyone who has time to listen to him," Farrier commented refering to a collection of wooden planes that Collins sent to him a year ago for his birthday. "You already are the coolest uncle."
"I know, of course I am," the blond man smirked, but then added more seriously "your kids are good and so is Maggie. This has to end sooner than later and you'll be able to get back to them."
Farrier sip the beer in front of him and looked at his best friend "if something happens to me, promise me you're going to take care of them."
"Wiliam…"
"No, don't try to tell me that everything will be alright because we both know how things work. How many of our soldiers already died? Pilots, too! We're not the exception, Jack! So if I die, I want to do it knowing that my kids and Maggie will be okay. They trust you."
"They're waiting for you, not me. So don't think those stupid things because I know very well that you could sell your soul to the devil if that means to go back to them, Farrier!"
"The devil nowadays live in Germany, Collins, and don't think he wants my soul."
Jack Collins nodded "if something happens to you, I'll take care of your family, William."
"Thanks."
.
But William couldn't go to his house that Christmas, although he sent cards, chocolate and money to them. And the morning of the 25th, he had the chance to talk to his children.
Both Edward and Clara were already sleeping, but Maggie wasn't. The woman was in the dining room with a cup of tea in her hands and a plate of cookies next to her, that she and the kids baked that morning. Through the window, she could hear the ocean, too dark to see it, but the sound of the waves was clear. Some lights in the distance indicated that fishermen were in their boats waiting to catch the best fish.
Maggie wonder how many times her own mother sat exactly where she was waiting for her husband while Maggie and her brother were sleeping same as her kids right now. She promised herself more than once not to follow her mother's steps. Mrs. Lewis didn't abandon them, but her mind always seemed to be somewhere else and not in the present. Like it was always 1914 and the man she loved was going to return.
Maggie dreamt about having a family like the one she now had, but William wasn't in her plans. Probably she hoped to marry a carpenter, a teacher or a fisherman even, but she didn't want nothing to do with men involved in the military field. She didn't want to be her mother. And yet, when William appeared everything she promised herself evaporated the moment her eyes found his. And there she was, like the woman she promised herself not to be.
She didn't know what her father promised her mother, if he even promised something, but she did believe William's word. He promised to return and something made her believe his words.
The Farriers saw the landscape of Sussex changed with every season that passed. Christmas arrived again and the man of the house was still absent.
By 1940, Edward was already seven years and Clara five. Maggie found a new job as the secretary of a doctor near the school were the kids studied. With almost no men in whole Great Britain, pubs were almost empty all the time and incomings weren't the best. This new job also gave her the opportunity to spend more time in her house and didn't take time from his old neighbor who looked after her kids when she wasn't around.
"We're going to France. Dunkirk."
That was the last time she spoke to him. A rescue mission organised by Churchill himself.
May of 1940 was ending and the news weren't good at all. Operation Dynamo, it was called. The objective was to rescue at least 29,000 soldiers from France and bring them back to England. The Royal Air Force, where William and Collins served, was required. It was the only way to stop the bombings of the enemies.
"You can do this, Will," she said. "I love you."
.
"You can do this, Will. I love you."
William saw the panel in front of him and checked the fuel. Still had enough gallons to do that.
The vast and infinite sea was behind him. Under any other circumstances he'd take some minutes to enjoy the view but he couldn't.
Farrier only wanted to leave that place as soon as possible and doing it alive. Now yes, his superiors authorized him to return home. Finally, after a year and a half. All he wanted in this world was that. His kids and Maggie hugging him, his house and the smell of the food prepared by her. He loved her meals. He loved her.
"Fortis 2," he called.
Collins replied immediately. "Here, Fortis 2."
"What's your fuel, Fortis 2?"
"70 gallons, Fortis 1."
Farrier took notes.
At the beach, hospital ships were carrying the injured soldiers. A lot of them in critical conditions, so bad that probably lot of them were going to die before reaching England. Thousand of soldiers strong enough to be on their feet were waiting their turn to be evacuated.
And above their heads, the enemies. It didn't matter if the hospital ships should be untouchable, in theory. They dropped bombs against them, too, killing the poor soldiers, nurses and doctors.
"Where's the bloody air force?!"
Dodging the enemies and down them, was easier to say that to do. The Spitfires were amazing planes piloted by elite pilots but so were the others.
"I have no eyes on Fortis Leader," William said. He had shot one of the enemies and it collapsed in front of him. "Fortis, 2, answer."
Collins dodged another plane before responding "Understood, Fortis 1. Orbit for a look."
Over the sea, help was coming but not quickly enough. Not when you're floating in middle of the ocean with seawater entering your lungs. When despair is filling your mind.
When your best friend is floating next to you already dead.
.
Maggie was nervous that day. The skies above her were clean and only birds were flying there.
No planes. Not Spitfires. Not him.
She knew something was wrong and couldn't explain why, but she feel it in her heart.
Her kids were fighting that day. It wasn't uncommon they were just kids, and siblings, but in her current state she couldn't tolerate it and yelled at them. Both kids stayed quiet immediately and apologized. She regretted in the moment, too.m, she wasn't like that. Every time she corrected them, she did it firmly but calm, not like that.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" she said kissing their heads
"It's okay, mom. We're going to behave. We promise dad that," Edward said and his sister nodded.
"Thanks, Ed. Today I'm not feeling well, that's all. But it's anyone fault. Just…just a bad day."
.
"He's on me, Fortis 1!" announced Collins to Farrier.
"And I am on him!"
William managed to destroyed that plane. But Collins didn't have time to celebrate because another one, shot him.
Farrier wanted to swear. He wasn't that kind of man, but that was a good moment to say fuck. Not Collins. Not his best friend. He saw smoke in one of the wings.
William allowed himself to look down. Some ships were around them. Collins was prepared enough to water landing, if he succeeded, then he could be safe. And then, only him will remain in the air.
"Forty gallons," said his friend and Farrier nodded.
"Just do it," Farrier commanded. "Jack, remember your promise."
Jack stayed quiet as he began to descend on the sea "I do remember. Good luck, Farrier."
"Good luck, Collins."
.
He was rescued. Luckily alive. A man, his son and a pretty lady helped him to get in the boat. A black haired soldier was there wrapped around a blanket, shaking and apparently in his own mind.
Collins raised his eyes to the sky. Only one plane against the rest. The odds weren't favourable, but it was also true that his friend was a hell of pilot. If anyone could do it was him.
"Come on, Farrier." He said for first, but not last time.
.
The fuel tank was almost empty but he felt in his heart that he could do that.
His mind was focus on his target and every enemy plane that fell, meant that he was nearing home.
Maggie. He needed to do that for her. If he wanted to return home, he needed to succeed.
There wasn't more fuel on the tank and the the plane was using the propulsion system to stay in the air. New bombs from the enemies but those were the last ones before Farrier destroyed in hundreds of pieces the last enemy. Where he was, he didn't hear the cheers. The happiness of them, meant the victory that Churchill wanted.
He flew over his heads. He could see the boats and ships rescue them and felt peace. Although he didn't know what was going to happen to him. Sun was starting to hide as he began to land his faithful plane. And yet, Fortis 1 needed to die.
He was alone in the beach, or so he believed, when finally the wheels touched the sand. He took his gun from his vest and shot at it. Fortis 1 combusted almost immediately and he remained in silence watching the fire that contrasted with the sunset in that moment. Then, he heard voices and a gun on his back. Germans.
Farrier didn't know that, but in that moment to calm her anxiety and nerves, his wife was at the beach. Her feet were touching the sea, like if somehow she could connect with him. Her red hair was moving in the wind.
She was crying and he wasn't there to comfort her. She didn't want to think the worst, but why her heart ached that bad? Maggie sat down on the sand and hugged her knees, she hid her face against them and cried.
Her mother was right. All those years, she was right. The pain of waiting couldn't be described.
.
"Going home?" The sweet girl named Daisy asked Collins when they were finally at the pier and the train was ready to take the soldiers home. Some of them were rude towards him, but he ignored them.
"Sussex," he replied.
"You live there?"
"No. My best friend live there… the other pilot. William Farrier is his name, his wife and kids… I need to tell them that him-"
Collins couldn't finish the sentence. Daisy put a hand in his arm.
"Maybe he's alive and well… hope is something invaluable these times. Have hope, Collins."
Jack Collins nodded and said goodbye. He fell asleep in the train thinking what and how, he's going to tell Maggie the news.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

warnings: fluff, slight angst if you squint, gojo and reader are in their mid 20’s, gojo is a sorcerer, reader is also a sorcerer, over-worked gojo, gojo being a little clingy, black fem reader, very short.
a/n: gojo brainrot. I just miss him a lot ngl.
—————————————-
The rain ran against the roof and windowsill as you slept. While the rain outside was harsh, making the inside of the apartment was cozy. Soon condensation would start to build up on the windows but for now, rain droplets remained in their place. It was getting colder outside; so you kept the temperature around 77°F (25°C), making the house relatively warm inside.
Prompting you to turn over in your sleep, feeling the hard contrast between the warmth of your body and the cold side where Gojo usually slept. You opened your eyes for a moment, but only a moment as you closed them again.
‘Right, Satoru had a mission last minute.’ You reminded yourself as you flipped back to your original spot. Your eyes fluttered back open again,“He should’ve been back by now..” You mumbled tiredly, while mindlessly reaching out for your phone and sliding up to see the time.
‘7:04 am’ A sigh left your two-toned lips as you read the time, before putting the phone back on the stand and rubbing the sleep from your eyes. The heavy rain made itself very apparent as you looked out the window. The rain in the street was almost reaching the side walk.
‘It’s still early..I should go back to bed.”
And with that, you fixed your bonnet properly over your head and laid your head back on the pillow to calm your worries.
It was still raining as he tracked his aching feet into the house. He slipped off his wet shoes, and fixed them by the door. He was exhausted, in-dire need of a warm bath and some sleep. He peeked into the shared bedroom, checking if you were up yet.
You were fast asleep in bed, at least that’s what it looked like to Satoru when he opened the door. A soft smile played on his pale pink lipslooked at your sleeping figure, before closing the door and heading to the shower.
He absolutely adored you when as you slept. The way the light from the lamp shined on your brown skin, the way you looked so peaceful compared to your blunt nature.
He left the bedroom, hobbling over to the bathroom. Leaning on the wall as he lifted up his shirt, seeing some bruises he got while fighting. “Thought it would be worse..” He thought to himself, as he let his legs sink into the bath tub. He leaned back against the tub, trying to relax and think of something better.
With the constant pressure from higher-ups, the dangerous missions he goes on, and task constantly being shoved to him left and right? He was more than happy to come home to you at the end of the day.
He stepped out the tub, the steam leaving the bathroom and pouring out into the bedroom. Your eyes opened a bit, the door creaking open to see Gojo standing in the doorway. “Hey,” You mumbled happily, seeing him return home safely.
His head turned to you. “Hey-I didn’t wake you did I?” He asked softly, as he held a towel between his waist, and walked over to his dresser to get changed. “No..m’ just glad your home.”
He stifled a groan as he slid himself into the bed, grabbing at your waist to pull himself in.
“Hey.. are you alright?” She asked, as her eyes now noticing the fresh injuries on his chest and abdomen.
Yawning, you moved a bit openly, allowing the white haired man to bury his face closer into your neck.“Yeah, it took longer than expected. No major injuries.. I could just ask Shoko to heal me, but I doubt I’ll need it.” He murmured against your neck. He just missed you, never wanting to let you go. His head picked up, his eyes further ingering on your face.
Her fingers traced at his scars from past missions and fights. “I wish you didn’t have all this pressure on your shoulders, my love.” His hand grabbed yours, intertwining them; lifting it up to kiss it.
“I know you’re going to worry, but you shouldn’t. I came home today didn’t I?”
”As long as you’re okay, i’m fine.” Your voice was considerate, as a hand crept up to the top of his face to brush a few strands covering his face.
“Anyway are you hungry?”
“Maybe.. but i’m exhausted.”
“I would get up, but the bed feels comfy.”
“Good, stay with me longer.”
You let out a laugh, it was clear both of you guys were exhausted from Sorcerer work. Last night was the only real time you guys had together, and yet Yaga had to cut it short with a sprung on mission for Satoru. Which to say the least you weren’t happy, but you’re partner assured you he’d be back in the morning. And here he was, sticking to his words.
You weren’t going to sugarcoat it, the situation was annoying. But, he’s safe, and really that’s all that mattered to you.
“Actually.. I might be hungry now.” He got up with a grin. As you heard a light growl come from his stomach, your lips pursed in amusement. “Really toru’? Well you gon have to wait cuz’ I just got comfy.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Good, now cmere closer baby.”

white liar
Tumblr media
Pairing- jake seresin x reader, javy machado x reader, bradley bradshaw x cousin! reader
Warning(s)- cheating, i think that’s it if not lmk
Word count- 1.6k
Summary- jake cheated on you and he thinks you would never find out
Tumblr media
 Hey, white liar
Truth comes out a little at a time
You and the Squad were hanging out at your place. Jake had gone to help Javy get something “out his car and as soon as he was out the front door, Bradley and Natasha had pulled you into the kitchen as a precaution to prevent someone else from hearing.
“Where were you the other night?” Your cousin asked. Bradley was more like a brother than a cousin. He was your safety net and you were his. You were there when his mother died. You were there when he graduated from college. You were there with him when he confronted Maverick about pulling his papers. You were there for everything just like he was always there for you.
“Here. Why?” It was the truth. You and Jake were going to go and meet the others for some drinks but you backed out last minute with a headache. Jake said he’ll let everyone know where you were but by the question Bradley had asked, you guessed that Jake didn't tell anyone.
Natasha looked at you with a look that resembled a mix of pity and anger. Bradley mimicked the same look.
You were about to comment on the looks but Natasha cut you off. “Jake cheated on you.”
And it spreads just like a fire
Slips off of your tongue like turpentine
And I don't know why, white liar
“Jake what?” You turned around to see the rest of the squad standing behind you with shock written all over their faces. Jake and Javy in the front. Bob and Mickey were the only ones who didn't look shocked, only disappointed.
Once the initial shock wore off, everyone was glaring daggers at Jake who looked extremely guilty.
“Is it true?” You asked, your voice wavering just a bit but you covered it with a cough. “Jake?” You repeated once he looked away to avoid eye contact with you.
You knew about his past. His playboy ways. Everyone knew that Jake Seresin didn't do relationships and when you two got together, everyone was beyond shocked. You were a fool to think that he changed his ways just for you. “Jake?”
The guilt was eating away at him fast. He had the urge to say something, anything. So he said the first thing that came out of his mouth. “Yeah. Sorry.” He said in a nonchalant tone. Jake, along with everyone else, was shocked at what he said.
You said you went out to a bar
And walked some lady to her car
But your face has more to tell
A few nights ago
It was almost 4 in the morning when Jake came stumbling into the house. Jake groaned as he ran straight into the wall next to your bedroom door. “Jake?” You groaned as you rolled out of bed. As he walked into your room, Jake tripped over his feet and landed on the foot of your bed. “Did you drive here?”
“No. Bernice drove me here.” Jake slurred. Bernice? Bernice? Your mind ran through multiple people trying to find out who Bernice was but you had no luck. You wanted to ask him who Bernice was but you knew not to question someone who was drunk after Bradley forced you to sing ‘Great Balls of Fire’  with him after you asked him how many drinks he had.
Instead, you pulled Jake up and walked him to the bathroom and sat him on the edge of the tub as you gathered him some clothes to sleep in. After struggling to help get him dressed, you both went to bed knowing that you’d have to go to the bar to get his truck for him.
Hours before
Jake Seresin walked into the Hard Deck with an unknown redhead under his arm. It was a pretty bold move on his behalf. Bringing his side piece into the bar where his girlfriend, her cousin, and their friends hangout. This wasn't his plan. He just wanted to come play some pool and drink some beers, but when he ran into the redhead outside the bar, he knew his plans were about to change and not in a good way.
“Jakey!” The redhead shouted as she noticed Jake walking towards the front entrance with his head down. Before he had a chance to look at the owner of the voice, he was tackled into a hug. The yell had gained the attention of some of the regulars who were sitting outside. All the regulars had known that Jake Seresin had a girlfriend, but that red head he was currently hugging, wasn't you. Who the hell was this girl and why was she under Jake's arm? Where were you?
“Wh-What are you doing here, Bernice?” Jake stuttered in a state of panic, frantically looking around to see if his friends were around. If they were, he was in a whole lot of trouble. Thankfully they weren't, which had calmed his nerves a bit. “To get some drinks and see my favorite man, silly.” and before he knew it, he was being dragged inside the bar trying to not be seen by his friends.
“I’ll be back. I'm gonna get a beer.” Jake decided that since his entire plan of relaxing went to shit, he should at least get a beer. He left and headed towards the bar top but immediately regretted his decision as soon as he saw Bob and Natasha talking to Penny. He decided to just ignore them.
“Can I get a beer please, Penny.” Jake asked. Looking over, Penny gave him a confused look as she noticed that you weren't with him. Jake noticed this look and sighed. “She's sick.” He lied. Penny didn't believe that one bit. You would’ve messaged Bradley or Natasha, not send Jake to tell them. Penny nodded and turned around to grab Jake his beer.
Once Jake got his beer, Bradley was already walking up to the bar to question him about your absence. Bradley stood right next to Jake who had grabbed his beer and was about to say something but Jake was already walking towards a corner booth in the back. Taking a closer look at the person in the seat, Bradley knew that it definitely wasn't you who was there with Jake.
“Oh! There you are Jakey. I thought you ditched me for someone else.” The redhead said as Jake sat down.
After a moment of silence, the redhead gasped which made Jake look up from his drink. “I need to freshen up. Excuse me.” Jake let out a breath of relief once she was gone.
As soon as Bradley came back, he told Natahsa what was going on. So, once Natasha noticed the redhead walking towards the direction of the bathroom, she let Bradley know that she was going to follow the redhead.
When Natasha opened the door to the bathroom she noticed the redhead standing in front of the mirror fixing her makeup.
“Excuse me, do you by any chance have a tampon?” Natasha asked. She didn't need one. She just wanted a reason to make conversation with the girl.
The redhead didn't respond as she pulled out a tampon and handed it to Natasha. “Thank you. I'm Natasha by the way.” Sighing, the redhead responded. “I'm Berniceb and if you'll excuse me I have a hot date to get back to.” Then walked out.
“Dumbass.” Natasha smirked and walked out.
Natasha walked towards Bradley and sat down next to him. “Her name is Bernice.” Bradley nodded.
'Cause my cousin saw you on the street
With a red head named Bernice
Turns out you don't lie too well
One drink turned into two. Two turned into four. Four turned into eight. Soon he was on his tenth. Jake was not a light-weight in any means. All the drinks hit him at once.
“I need to get home.” Jake slurred and got up but stumbled into the table a bit.
Natasha and Bradley had been watching the two all night. “Should we take him home?” Bless Bradley and his caring heart.
“No. He’s a cheating snake. If I drove him home, I would drive him to his new home, off the side of a cliff.” Natasha smirked as Bradley gave her a somewhat scared and impressed expression.
Bradley didn’t respond. Natasha and him watched as Bernice helped a drunk Jake Seresin out of the bar and to her car.
Hey, white liar
Truth comes out a little at a time
And it spreads just like a fire
Bob being Natasha’s backseater, obviously made them close.
“Can I tell you something?” Natasha asked as her and Bob were walking towards their cars after work. Bob nodded. “You just have to promise not to tell anyone. Especially Jake and Y/n.”
Now, Bob was worried. What was so bad that Jake and you couldnt know? Bob hesitantly nodded as Natasha looked around. “Jake cheated on Y/n. I dont know how long its beem happening though.” Natasha then explained the whole night to Bob.
Bob ended up telling Mickey, who surprisingly held onto that secret. Natasha shouldve know not to trust Bob with that secret since he was known as the person who couldnt keep secrets.
Here's a bombshell just for you
Turns out I've been lying too
Present Time
Nodding you took a deep breath and looked at Jake after a long moment of silence.
“Since you’re admitting that you cheated, I think it’s fair to admit something to make it even.” You said looking at Javy.
Javy gasped in realization. “Y/n no.”  You ignored Javy’s shouts.
“Me and Javy slept together.”
Now I'm the white liar
Truth comes out a little at a time
And it spreads just like a fire
Slips off of my tongue like turpentine
And I don't know why
White liar

As a soon-to-be mother, Aelin was so proud of her baby girl for growing so much.
As an orthopedist, she was mourning the perfect posture she used to have.
Fenrys stopped at the kitchen’s doorstep to stare at her. “What the hell are you doing?”
“I’m trying to save my lombardic curve. Stop being weird about it.”
He shrugged and sat on the nearest couch as Aelin tried to adjust that arched back of hers. Holy rutting Mala, why did pregnancy make her go through all that?
“Is Dorian coming tonight?”
“Probably. If he feels like it.” Fenrys shrugged. “It’s not that serious.”
Aelin crossed her arms, clamping her lips together as she tried to look serious. “You’re just casually seeing each other every day?”
“Exactly.” He turned on the TV. “Just like you and Rowan are platonically living together and having a baby.”
She gaped, but still sat by his side. “Take it back!”
“Absolutely not! Do you think Rowan just…” Fenrys flailed his arms around, looking for an example. “He doesn’t goes around massaging everyone’s feet, Aelin. I’m pretty sure you’re the only person he does that for.”
She crossed her arms, chin up. “He does it for me, but not because of me. I just happen to be carrying his baby.”
“The baby is inside the belly, not the feet.”
She sighed, forcing her voice into a lower, calmer tone. “Look, you weren’t there, but he clearly wasn’t interested. He only changed because of the baby. And I’m not complaining about it, I had fun, I’m just saying that if he wanted non-platonic stuff with me, he would tell me.”
Fenrys looked her dead in the eye. “You had a boyfriend.”
“And that never stopped him from fucking me senseless. Wouldn’t stop him from seeing me outside the base if he wanted to.”
It was true, and it was also killing her. Every time Rowan ran to a store to buy something she was craving or massaged her swollen feet, Aelin had the painful reminder that, when it was just her, all she got was cock and a couch inside his office. Rowan just learned very early on that happy mom means happy baby, and she was trying to be okay with it.
They were just having casual sex at first, and now he seemed okay with keeping things platonic for their kid. There was no use in reading between the lines.
After that, Aelin decided to go find Rowan at her house. Fenrys was nice enough to be silent when Dorian was there, but his bed still got squeaky sometimes.
She hired a company to paint her house, since she couldn’t smell paint because of the baby, nor could she let Rowan paint the entire four-bedroom house the Air Force provided her. He protested her decision, but he was already doing too much for her.
Aelin had a feeling that, if she asked him to build a house from scratch for this baby, he’d do it alone without thinking twice.
She had already grown familiar with the path between her house and Rowan’s. The sound of the leaves when the wind got a little stronger never failed to soothe her, and Aelin was excited to co-parent a kid with such close proximity.
Which could be even closer, if her new idea worked out.
When Aelin stepped into her house, the first thing she noticed was the faint sound of Syd Barrett spilling his guts, and she looked for the source until she found Rowan lying on the nursery’s floor.
He didn’t seem surprised when she walked in, though. He probably listened to her footsteps all the way to the baby’s room.
“I didn’t know you were into junkies from the 60’s.”
Rowan got up to get another pillow and help ease her onto the floor. “You listen to them all the time.”
Aelin closed her eyes, feeling the muscles on her back relax now that she was lying too. “My parents were fans.”
Rowan’s hand found her scalp, and Aelin almost purred. God, she was too weak for those.
“You think about them a lot?” He asked.
“More often now that I’m pregnant. And with insomnia.”
Pregnancy just made her think of them more often now, but it wasn’t the crushing type of grief she felt during her late childhood and early teen years. It was bittersweet.
Rowan hummed, never ceasing to caress her hair. “Did you try eating an apple before bed? It helps to induce sleep.”
“No, I haven’t.” Aelin hid her face on his side, trying her best not to laugh.
Apples before bed did absolutely nothing for people with sleep disorders. Rowan didn’t know that her pregnancy was just making a deeper problem worse, though. Aelin couldn’t take any kind of sleeping pills with a baby on the way, and telling him this problem with no solution was just going to make the Buzzard worry to death.
Aelin had been off her antidepressants for almost two years, so this new development made her ghost her psychiatrist and decide to go back once she stopped breastfeeding. She had plenty of time to tell Rowan about that.
Aelin closed her eyes and grinned. “This song is so silly. I love how he laughs halfway into it.”
It was a good song, but he just repeated the name Maisie over and over most of the time.
“It isn’t silly,” Rowan protested. “He’s stoned out of his mind, and the only thing he feels like doing is repeating that girl’s name over and over. It’s kinda relatable”
“Rowan Whitethorn.” Her voice was low as she looked at him with widened, surprised eyes. “Are you coming out as a stoner?”
Chuckling, he playfully pinched her upper arm and turned sideways to face her while lying. “The name is really cute.”
“Maisie?”
“Yeah.”
She chewed her bottom lip, thinking this over. The name was adorable. “But we’re not naming our daughter after a junkie’s song, right?”
“No.” He shook his head, as if erasing the idea. “Of course not.”
They just stayed there, letting the album play as Aelin took in the baby’s room. It was so cute she felt like her chest could burst any minute.
She made Rowan and Aedion put a baby blue wallpaper, even if the Air Force’s regiment said every wall should be plain white. The furniture was in white wood, except for the little dresser in the corner.
It was wooden as well, but every drawer was a different shade of blue, getting darker at the bottom. The knobs were sea life themed, and it took Aelin a lifetime to decide which animal went with what drawer.
It was the cutest, babiest little thing. She woke Rowan up at 1 am to show this finding when she saw it online. It was her favorite part of the nursery.
Aelin felt her heart bang again when she met Rowan’s deep, inquisitive eyes.
“What’s on your mind?”
She placed her pillow closer to Rowan and hugged him. “Thank you.”
He had been pulling Aelin’s house together day and night, completely ignoring her protests about not letting her do much.
Rowan didn’t say anything, just caressed her head in that way that made her melt.
“I’ve been thinking about something,” she continued.
He hummed.
“Your house doesn’t have much of the baby vibe. With the parade of one-night stands and all.”
Rowan sighed. “I know I need to have this talk with—“
She shushed him. The house was Fenrys’ as well, and she didn’t want a surprise baby to disrupt his lifestyle.
“I thought of something. It’s not a permanent solution, but I won’t put an expiration date on it either.”
Rowan leaned closer, watching her intently.
“When I move into this house, you could come with me—“
He engulfed her in a hug, burying his face in the crook of her neck. “Yes.”
“You can pick any room you’d—“
“Yes.”
“So neither of us will be alone with a newborn—“
“Yes.”
Aelin laughed, feeling her chest tremble against his own. Alright, he didn’t need a lot of explanations. She got that.
They just stared at each other for a moment. Aelin felt her heart knock on her throat and do fuzzy little flips as she watched how Rowan’s smile made his eyes light up.
For the first time, she could put a name on the jolt of electricity he made her feel.
She was falling, and bracing herself for the bone crush.
~~
It was funny how everyone from this soccer moms’ night out was telling her to stop being shy and sing with Lysandra. Aelin wasn’t a shy person at all, she was just someone who knew her strengths. Singing wasn’t one of them.
There was no amount of fancy drinks that could make her go up on that stage, but now that Lys made the crowd ask no nicely…
Dorian was trying to save Aedion’s love life in a bar two blocks away. If this became a huge embarrassment, she could just leave, pretend this never happened and join them there. Aelin got up and took the second mic, not missing the cheery crowd—and especially her table—stirring things up.
“What are you two singing?” The employee with the computer asked.
“Lana?” Aelin suggested, but her friend had a vacant stare on the crowd.
She poked Lys on the ribs. “What are we singing?”
“Oh.” She jerked Aelin’s way, blinking, but then her disoriented face turned into a roguish grin. “Peppers.”
Not a question, but Lys and the employee still sought Aelin’s confirmation before starting.
Aelin was just singing at first. She wasn’t stiff, but there was nothing much to her moves. However, when the pre-chorus was reaching its end, Lysandra placed one hand on hand on Aelin’s hips in an attempt to loosen it, and that’s when she understood.
Lys didn’t want to sing a song. She wanted them to give a full show. And now that Aelin understood, she wouldn’t settle for less.
She was rolling her hips, swaying her whole body and toying with her hair as the lyrics suggested. Aelin had no idea if the tables were stirring them in because they were actually good or just two excited drunks, but she was eating it up.
“Put your hands on my knees, baby!” Someone screamed, referencing the song lyric.
Aelin had a snarky remark ready, but kept to herself when she realized it came from a woman, not a creepy dude. Instead, she swayed her hips harder and went down so she could put her hands on her knees in a little provocative manner. The lesbian roared, making her cackle mid-chorus.
And you know what? Tonight was about girls. Aelin came with her soccer mom friends to talk about girl things and sip girly drinks. If she was doing sexy dances tonight, it was for the lesbians. And bisexual girls. Non-binary too—
Lys tapped her shoulder when she stopped singing, too distracted counting all the letters from the acronym to check if she wasn’t forgetting anything. Fuck. She blamed it on the tequila.
Aelin smiled at the crowd when the song ended, taking the applause and fame in. Maybe she should quit orthopedics to perform for a living. Maybe that was her true calling.
All of those thoughts came to a halt when she paused to carefully study the room, though. Her heart stopped just to go back at the highest speed.
Rowan. By the side of a hot redhead.
He was staring at her, and there was no way to decipher that intense look in his eyes. His lips were pursed, but even if Rowan looked pissed, he never took his eyes off her. Not while she was on stage, not when Lys dragged her by the arm to the ladies’ room.
The redhead was looking between them the whole time, probably figuring something out already.
Aelin didn’t do anything when she got to the bathroom, though. Just stood there, staring at a blank spot in the wall. She was so shocked she barely noticed the distinctive reek of a bar’s bathroom. Lys was watching her the whole time, forehead wrinkled and hands on her hips.
This silence was too much, especially since Lys knew most of whatever went down with Rowan.
Well, that didn’t matter now. If the last weeks gave her any doubt about how she should proceed now that they were in a better situation, this just gave her rational side more certainty. He had moved on already, and so should she.
Aelin decided to reapply her lipstick just to do something with her hands.
“I’m assuming you saw Rowan with that woman.”
Yes, and not with any woman. It was the kind of woman who made single moms question their sexuality.
“A redhead?” Aelin’s voice came out slightly high-pitched as she stopped reapplying her lipstick to protest, searching for Lys’ concerned gaze through the bathroom mirror. “I thought he liked blondes. When did blondes stop being the hottest option?”
“You’d still be hotter than her if she were blonde. Or if you were a redhead.”
“This is not about me.” Aelin closed her lipstick, rolling her eyes. “I’m talking about men’s choices in general. It’s an anthropological observation.”
Lies, lies, lies. But Aelin didn’t even tell her therapist about old feelings resurfacing, she wasn’t about to pour her heart out to her newest friend while drunk at a club. Especially not while Rowan was having a hot date.
She raised her eyebrows, looking as if she was tired of explaining something obvious. “Even though he was ogling you like a dog staring at meat through a butcher’s shop window?”
Aelin put away her lipstick and gave Lys a pointed look. “He was not.”
“I was there. I remember it all too well.”
Aelin’s eyes widened. “We could sing that.”
“We can, because you’re not crashing Rowan’s date tonight.”
Aelin was carefully silent. She’d be lying if she said that idea didn’t cross her mind.
“You’re not.” Lysandra’s tone was firm, and she placed both hands on her friend’s shoulders. “You’re going to repeat after me: I’m Aelin Galathynius.”
Aelin giggled. “You’re not Aelin Galathynius.”
Lys squeezed her friend’s shoulders harder than necessary. “Say it.”
She straightened her posture. “I’m Aelin Galathynius.”
“And I’m too mature to crash Rowan’s date.”
“And I’m too mature to crash Rowan’s date,” she lied.
“Great.” Lys took a deep breath and pointed to the door. “Let’s get back to our table.”
Aelin went from the restroom’s door straight to Rowan.
“Good to see you got out of your house for once.”
Rowan slowly assessed her outfit with that judgy gaze of his, making her skin burn. ”Good to see you singing something that isn’t a nursery rhyme.”
Aelin crossed her arms. “I thought you were seeing a guy tonight.”
Rowan mirrored her expression. “So did I.”
Wait, he thought who would be seeing a guy?
His date extended a hand. “Hi. I’m Ansel.”
She begrudgingly shook it. “Aelin.”
God, this was awkward. She should’ve listened to Lysandra and stayed at her table. But when she saw Rowan there on a date with this gorgeous homewrecker with incredibly shiny hair… Aelin felt like she was burning from the inside out, and not in a good way.
Something about her face must’ve showed, because Ansel pointed between her and Rowan and said, “This is totally platonic. Fenrys thought Rowan could have a night out, so he stayed with the kid and set this up.”
“This is…” Rowan tilted his head, frowning at the redhead. “Exactly and not exactly what happened at the same time.”
Ansel elbowed him, making him straighten his posture.
“This is exactly what happened,” Rowan amended.
“Rowan?” Ansel put a hand on his shoulder to grab his attention, and Aelin almost singed it off with her eyes. “Can we talk for a second?”
They excused themselves and got just far enough so they’d be out of earshot. It looked like they we bickering. Ansel pointed at Aelin with her head. Rowan’s body stiffened. She pointed at the door. He pulled at his shirt cuffs and nodded. Aelin would kill to hear whatever that exchange was, especially because when Rowan approached her, Ansel was… smirking? As weird at this sounds, it looked a lot like a smirk.
“Hey.” Rowan didn’t sit again, just got close enough so she’d hear him over the terrible performance of an 80’s song. “I’m going to call an uber. Can you stay here?”
Aelin felt her heart sink. “You’re leaving with her?”
“What? No!” His eyebrows shot up as if the idea was absurd. “I’m calling Ansel’s uber. I was asking if you can wait for me here. Or at the tables outside, anywhere but the club part.”
Aelin nodded, chuckling. The loud, buzzing dance floor by the entrance must’ve been a terrifying sight for Rowan.
She found the soccer moms and quickly explained she’d be with Rowan in the other room. They seemed to understand the situation, which was good. Aelin was friendly with everyone there, but the only person she was close with was Lys. That one would be blasting their DM tomorrow morning, there was no doubt.
Rowan came back just a few minutes after she found them a table at a calmer area outside.
The breeze hitting her shoulders was gentle, but still stronger than her thin, backless shirt. Still, Aelin held her head high, refusing to feel bad for crashing and ruining his date.
“How many beers did you pay her?”
Rowan leaned back on his chair, a playful glint in his eye. “Three, why?”
“You’re paying me four.” He opened his mouth, but she raised a finger and beat him to it. “No questions asked.”
Rowan chugged his beer after their first round came. “I don’t know why you’re being like this. Aren’t you dating other people too?”
“What?” Aelin slightly shook her head, mouth ajar. “Where is this coming from?”
He tilted his head. “You were very clear about wanting more kids.”
“And then you made an assumption about my dating life.”
Rowan didn’t answer, unwavering.
Aelin held a finger up. “First, I told you I haven’t figured that out yet.” Another finger up. “Second, I wasn’t in a relationship the first time, I don’t need one to have kids again.” She shrugged. “For all you know, I could be talking about adoption or fertilization.”
Rowan had his arms crossed, eyes squinted at her. “Why would you pay to have kids if we did that for free the last time?”
The mix of what he’d just said and his displeased face made her cackle. Hard. Her head was tilted back, her body trembling as she tried to regain composure and feel less breathless.
“Why is this funny?” He protested, trying and failing to hide a silly smile. “I’m just saying that if you don’t have another person you’d like to… share genes with, the reasonable thing to do would be make the other children genetically compatible with Maisie.” He sipped his beer, looking nonchalant. “In case one of them needs a kidney or a bone marrow transplant.”
“Alright.” She chugged the rest of her beer down. “Let’s suppose I decide to do that. Would you donate your sperm and sign off parental rights?”
“Absolutely not!” He blurted, clutching his beer for dear life as if it’d protect his imaginary kids from Aelin’s modern ideas. “I’d make and raise them the old-fashioned way.”
Aelin leaned towards Rowan, her pulse skyrocketing as her breath fanned against the shell of his ear. “I bet you’d love that, wouldn’t you?”
There was no mistaking the way he trembled under her whisper. Rowan found the exposed curve of her waist with his hands like a magnet, the tips of his fingers pressing against her skin.
Rowan’s pupils were dilated, his forest-green irises looked on fire. “Stop teasing me. We’re drunk.”
Aelin leaned back on her seat and sipped her drink, chest filled with satisfaction even after being rejected. It was really hard to feel defeated now, since Rowan was too intoxicated to take his eyes off her golden top.
“You were a lot more fun six years ago.”
Rowan chuckled and finished his bottle. “Next round?”
Aelin confirmed at the same time her phone started ringing.
“Dor? Is everything okay—“
“I can’t stand your cousin anymore, Aelin! I’m dumping him in the sewers!”
She chuckled, not missing Rowan’s curious gaze. “Did Aed drink too much?”
“That too! He went straight to a woman and slurred: ‘you’re the prettiest girl I’ve seen this week.’ I can’t do this, Aelin. He’s unsalvageable.”
Aelin snorted. “Alright, give me five minutes and I’ll text you.”
“Too long!”
She finished the call before Dorian could protest further. Rowan had his head tilted, waiting for an explanation.
“Dorian’s bored, so he decided to be Aedion’s wingman tonight. They’re at a bar close by, so we agreed to uber back together.”
“Uber together where? Dorian lives in the opposite side of town.”
She shrugged. “Who knows? You know how Dorian is.”
That explanation seemed enough for Rowan. It didn’t take long for them to decide it was way past their bedtime already, so they decided to head out as well.
They needed to have their wristbands scanned at the cashier near the exit, and she took a step back when Rowan mentioned for her arm as well.
Aelin shook her head. “I spent a small fortune in frilly cocktails.”
He didn’t say a thing, just gently took her wrist and showed it to the cashier.
The outside of the club looked the same it did hours ago, except the line to enter was longer, making the street too loud for it to be the middle of the night.
“Heeeey.” Aelin made a twist to look him in the eye, but stumbled on her heels. Rowan tried to catch her from falling, but she beat him to it. She was just that kind of independent drunk. “Your mom invited me to your trip with Maisie the last time she was in town.”
Rowan snorted. “Sounds like her.”
Every year, Rowan and Maisie visited the southeastern beach house his parents retired in. Inviting Aelin to her ex’s trip without letting him know was something only Rory Whitethorn could pull off. She was a… peculiar person, to say the least. Aelin loved her to death.
“What did you tell her?” He asked.
Aelin tried to look nonchalant, thankful he couldn’t tell the tingling in her limbs. “What was I supposed to tell her? I already crashed your date, I won’t crash your trip too.”
To be fair, Aelin didn’t say anything because she would not, under any circumstance, invite herself to Rowan’s trip. And by under any circumstance, she meant only if she was drunk.
He shrugged. “Maisie would love it if you went.”
She gave him a pointed look. “Of course Maisie would want me to go. I’m talking about you. Would you feel comfortable with me there?”
Rowan’s shoulders dropped, and something in his eyes melted. “Of course I would. Do you want to come with me next month?”
Aelin flipped her hair, not looking him in the eye. “Well, since you asked so nicely.”
He snorted and placed a hand on the back of her shoulder, gently stroking that patch of skin with his thumb until their uber arrived.
Rowan opened the backseat door for her, but a very drunk Aedion called his name from the inside.
She leaned closer to Rowan and whispered, “I think he wants you to go in the middle.”
He sighed, but complied.
The moment they got inside and closed the door, Aedion laid down on the backseat, resting his head on Rowan’s lap and hugging his middle. “I love you, man.”
Rowan petted his head the same way he’d do to a dog. “You’re okay.”
“Aw,” Dorian cooed from the passenger seat. “He got so happy when he saw you outside.”
“Are you staying with Aedion?” Rowan asked, since the driver was getting them farther from Dorian’s apartment each minute.
“No, I’m staying with you. You stole my boyfriend, remember?”
Rowan’s face was flat when he replied, “Thanks for letting me know.”
Grinning at the bickering, Aelin rested her head on Rowan’s shoulders and nearly purred when his hand met her scalp. He chuckled. She lightly elbowed his ribs.
“You know damn well I’m weak for those,” she mumbled, eyes blissfully closed.
“I do.”
Aelin almost fell asleep right there, all because of Rowan’s skilled hands. She would’ve, if it wasn’t for the seat bumping as the driver sped, and the annoying air freshener in the car.
When they arrived, Rowan decided to drop Aelin off while Dorian did the same to a nearly dead drunk Aedion, and they’d meet later. Or Dorian could just break into the house through Fenrys’ window like he used to, that part wasn’t clear.
“There’s this thing nagging me,” Rowan said as they walked through her front garden.
“Spill.”
“Dorian seemed to know you were with the soccer moms all the time, but Fenrys seemed so clueless about this earlier today.”
“Oh.” Aelin leaned against a pillar, scrambling for a nice way to explain this. “Dorian doesn’t tell much about me to Fenrys, since it’d be the same as telling you. I never asked him to do this, but he’s just that loyal.”
Rowan’s expression seemed downcast for a beat, then he concealed it with a grin. “Keeping secrets, Lieutenant?”
Aelin crouched to get the keys from under the front mat, trying to downplay how much that harmless question made her heart twist. Something about her demeanor must’ve given it away, since he changed the subject.
“You know it’s not safe to leave your keys there, right? Why didn’t you take them with you?”
Aelin got up again and sighed, already knowing it was too much for his male brain to understand. “My purse is small, and the keys would scratch my lipstick tube.”
Rowan shook his head, but a small smile betrayed his disapproving face. “So between your lipstick and your house keys, you’d rather keep the lipstick?”
“Absolutely. I need to keep my priorities straight.”
He chuckled, eyes soft as their corners crinkled. “Good night, Aelin.”
Rowan held her upper arm for a beat, caressing it with his thumb, and then let her go.

Modern Hearts Chapter 23
Chapter 22 here
******
You woke up around 1:00am in Shouta's bed, with his hands still clasped in yours.  You couldn't help but smile at the scene; this felt right.  But alas, you should get back to your dorm so no one would see you do the walk of shame later this morning.  You kissed Shouta's fingers, then leaned forward to kiss him on the lips.  This stirred him awake, and he smiled over at you.  "Well hello there," he said in a cute and sleepy tone of voice.
"Hi. I'm going to get going, Shouta," you whispered to him.  He grumbled back at you, "stay here with me and sleep some more."  You couldn't help but smile at him when he said these words, "goodnight. I'm looking forward to our picnic date."  With that, you two unclasped your hands, kissed once more, got up and put your tee shirt and shorts back on.  You picked up your bra and panty set from the floor, and tip-toed out of his room.  Once you got to his doorway, you opened the door an inch just to assure no one was around; there wasn't, thankfully.  You opened the door the rest of the way, softly closed it behind you, and went back next door to your dorm.
You got back into your dorm, and leaned back against your door.  Not that you had anything to be ashamed of; you were a grown woman, and Shouta was a grown man, and you two could do whatever you wanted.  You just felt a little nervous at the thought of someone seeing you come out of his dorm later this morning, especially Nemuri.  You knew for a fact that she wouldn't keep her mouth shut about...well, anything.  You went over to your couch, sat down, and smiled to yourself thinking back to the events of the evening.
That was probably the most mind blowing sex you've ever had in your life.  It just felt so natural with Shouta, like you two were made for each other in that respect.  That said, you still needed to go on this date just to make sure that emotional connection was there as well.  You believed there was, but the date was necessary.  You felt yourself getting tired again, so you went to your bedroom, threw your bra and panty set in your hamper, and plopped into bed.  You fell asleep nearly the second after your head hit the pillow.
You awoke again around 8:00am and instantly smiled; you had your date with Shouta later this evening.  Suddenly, you received a text from an unknown number; it was Shouta.  Ah, now you finally had his number, you laughed to yourself.  "Good morning, Y/N, it's Shouta.  If you could provide a nice blanket for us to sit on later, I'll provide the food and drink for our picnic date :)"  You smiled down at your phone, "good morning to you :) Sounds good to me. What time shall we meet up?"  You two agreed to meet at 5:00pm.  It would still be light enough outside and the weather was nice.
Once 4:00pm rolled around, you got into the shower and washed up.  After your shower, you put a robe around yourself and a towel in your hair.  You went to your closet and picked out what you were going to wear; a baby blue, spaghetti-strap sundress that was very flowy, and a pair of navy blue high heeled wedge shoes.  You looked down at your outfit, and thought that looked appropriate enough for a picnic date.  You continued to get ready by putting on some makeup and blow drying your hair.  You then put your dress on and did a little spin in front of your mirror.  You smiled to yourself; this was one of your favorite dresses you owned; it showcased your curves quite nicely.
By this time, it was 4:50pm, so you put on your shoes, gave yourself one more lookover in the mirror, grabbed the soft blanket for you two to sit down on, and headed out the door.  When you were outside of your door, you didn't see Shouta; you wondered if he had already left.  Well, only one way to find out.  You walked down the stairs of the dorms, and ran into Mic.  "Hey girl, don't you look nice? Where you headed off to?" he asked.  You grinned over at him, "I'm going on a picnic date with Shouta."  To say that Mic absolutely beamed at this would be an understatement.  "That's amazing, Y/N! I hope you guys have a great time!"  You hugged him, which you could tell he was not expecting, and just thanked him. He hugged you back and laughed, "anytime girl!"
You and Mic said your goodbyes and went your separate ways.  Even though he didn't know that you had overheard that conversation between him and Shouta that day in the school lounge, you still felt the need to thank him.  You truly believed he was a big part of the reason you and Shouta were on the path forward.  You were thoughtful for the remainder of your walk to the park.  When you arrived at the park, you spotted Shouta sitting on the table part of a bench overlooking the lake, with a picnic basket sitting next to him.

The Redbridge Hunts, Chapter 12
Tumblr media
Little bat eyes watched Claire curiously from outside her bedroom window, she was completely oblivious as she went about her morning routine in her night gown before getting dressed. Being on one of the upper floors she never bothered closing her curtains in the dark, as she thought no one could see in anyway.
Claire took her time straightening her hair for the day, then putting on a little bit of make-up before getting dressed. She felt a little worried about Loki, and how today would go. She knew it would likely be a difficult day after what happened.
She was just about to take off her night gown to get dressed, when she heard scratching and scraping against her window. With a frown, she made her way over to see what the noise was. Her eyes widened when she saw two bats having a scuffle on the window-ledge.
‘Hey! Break it up you two, what’s going on?’ She yelled at them through the window and tapped on the glass, which startled the bats and stopped them from fighting.
The two bats flew away into the dawn.
‘That was… odd.’ Claire muttered to herself, but she shrugged it off and continued getting ready.
The two bats flew around the side of the building, where Loki turned back into his vampire form.
‘What the hell was that about?’ He snapped, turning to face the other vampire.
‘What do you mean what the hell was that about? I should be asking you that! You’re going to blow your cover if you spy on her as a bat, plus not to mention it’s morally wrong.’ Jessica argued, arms folded over her chest.
‘I wasn’t spying.’ Loki huffed.
Jessica raised an eyebrow at him and just gave him the look.
‘Well… I was only checking she was ok. I wanted to be around her, to calm my nerves a bit.’ Loki admitted sheepishly.
Jessica’s face softened. She knew it must be difficult for him, desperate to be with his soulmate but having to control his temptations and keep a distance.
‘Why does your nerves need to be calmed?’ She asked with a frown.
Loki sighed and ran a hand down his face. ‘One of our students, Stevie, was killed by a hunter at the weekend. Kirsten was saved, luckily, but had to witness her brother being murdered. All thanks to Chris, who they thought they could trust.’
Jessica’s eyes widened. ‘Oh god.’ She gasped and put her hand over her mouth. ‘He was in my class this year.’ She said with a lump in her throat.
‘I know.’ Loki said sadly. ‘I had a fight with Chris last night, then ended up here, finding comfort in Claire. She thinks it was a drug deal gone wrong, which is what the public will hear. We’re going to need to help our students through this, today is going to be difficult.’
‘Hence why you came to see Claire?’
Loki nodded.
Jessica sighed. ‘Well, if there’s anything I can do today just let me know. I guess we might be better holding an assembly to tell everyone?’
‘I think just in registration class might be best. I’ll speak to the other teachers when I get there.’ Loki said decisively.
‘Whatever you think best.’ Jessica agreed. ‘Well, I better get going… Try not to perv on Claire too much though, as a fellow woman it’s concerning, even if you are her soulmate.’ She smirked a little.
Loki blushed a tiny bit. ‘I’ll try not to.’
-
Tensions were high when school started, many pupils had already heard the news. Some of the vampire students knew the truth about who killed Stevie, but of course the humans thought it was drug related.
‘Do you think Chris will show his face today?’ David asked.
Loki had been filling in the other vampire teachers about what happened.
‘I don’t know. If he does, maybe all of us can finally finish him.’ Loki snarled, his hands balled into fists.
‘I’m sure he didn’t mean to send Stevie directly to his death like that…’ Hannibal said cautiously, yet calmly.
Loki glared at him. ‘Of course he did. He’s reckless, all he cares about are his old stupid traditional ways and ending the human race. Thinks they all need to evolve to what we are, that humans should be wiped out.’
Severus sniggered from the side, causing everyone to turn their attention to him.
‘Something amusing you, Severus?’ Loki asked, hands on his hips as he narrowed his eyes at him.
‘Various things. Chris thinking that he can play God. Plus, you thinking that we would be able to, finish him, even as a team. You should know better than any of us that he would still be too strong. It’s not like he physically made the twins go hunt, like many of the other young vampires coming of age, their hormones are raging. Of course, they are going to want to hunt, let loose with their primal instincts. All we can do is try and get to them first, show them there are better ways and teach them. Protect them as best we can from any hunters.’
Loki hated the fact that he was right, he knew Chris would be impossible to stop physically. He also had a point in that Chris didn’t force them to go hunting, though he did highly influence them which still enraged Loki to think about.
‘Yes, I’d say protecting the younger vampires from hunters is our main priority.’ Matt said softly.
The door to the teacher’s lounge opened and in walked Chris, the room instantly thickened with tension that could be cut with a knife. Loki attempted to lunge at him, but Severus grabbed Loki’s arm to stop him, much to Loki’s annoyance.
‘You’ve got some nerve to show your face here.’ Loki snarled at him.
‘Look, I know you think this is all my fault, and yes, perhaps I did talk them into hunting the traditional way, but I wouldn’t send a vampire to their death knowingly. You know deep down that I wouldn’t. I want the vampire race to thrive, to overcome the humans, that can’t happen if hunters keep taking us out.’ Chris said with a neutral look on his face. He wasn’t smirking, when he almost always had one plastered on his face, so the vampires were all slightly thrown off guard.
‘You’re the headmaster, the kids trust you. Stevie trusted you. You know it’s not safe, talking them into hunting like that is a death sentence in itself.’ Loki snarled at him.
‘It’s a risk that we take, and every vampire knows it.’ Chris said calmly.
Loki tried getting near him again, but Severus tightened his hold on his arm. ‘Do not let him wind you up.’ Severus muttered slowly.
Loki knew Severus was right, again, it wouldn’t do any good.
‘I’m going to call for an assembly, to explain to the students what happened to Stevie.’ Chris announced.
‘No. You’re not.’ Loki said firmly. ‘The students will be told in their register classes, so if they are upset or emotional, they will feel safer in smaller groups. Where they can ask any questions they like from the teachers. The vampires can get the truth, while the humans are shielded from it.’
All the morning register classes were split so that vampires and humans were not mixed, which meant that the vampires could get any updates that were necessary to them only.
Chris said nothing for a moment, just eyed up Loki. Then he responded with a simple nod before ducking out of the room.
‘What the bloody hell just happened?’ David asked as he looked around everyone.
‘He’s at it. Putting on a front.’ Loki growled.
‘Or maybe he feels a little bit guilty and that’s his way of trying to show it?’ Jessica tried, but from the glare that Loki gave her she knew he didn’t agree one bit.
‘He is the headmaster, he still has a duty of care for all the students, I’m sure he does feel guilty about it to some extent.’ Hannibal shrugged.
‘No. He doesn’t feel guilty, that’s not in his nature.’ Loki argued.
‘He’s not wrong though, think about it, if he wants the vampires to take over why would he send them directly to their death? I don’t think he did it on purpose, but I also don’t think he cares for them in the way he should, he cares more about his tradition and is willing to take risks for it. And every vampire does know the risk, even the younger ones, it’s taught as soon as they are old enough to understand that there’s hunters out there.’ Severus said as he sat back down.
Loki pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. ‘I’m away to speak to all the teachers, tell them what’s happened and what to tell the students. You all know what to tell your register students.’
Everyone nodded as Loki made his way out of the lounge. He could feel the anguish in the air as he walked down the corridor of the school, students were talking in hushed voices while others were very quiet and sad.
When he walked into his classroom, he was surprised to see Claire there already. Her scent instantly flooded him and he felt a wave of calmness wash over him, as if she was swimming through his veins.
‘Claire.’
‘Hey, Loki. Are you ok?’ She asked softly as she approached him, she had a bunch of sticky notes in her hands, she was placing small piles onto every desk.
‘I… think so. What’s this?’
‘Oh, I hope you don’t mind. I thought that perhaps the students could write down any questions or feelings, then place them into this box.’ She motioned to a box on his desk. ‘Then we could read them out and answer questions or speak about their feelings. So, it’s anonymous for the student, but a safe sort of way to speak about what happened.’
‘That’s… a brilliant idea.’ Loki’s face lit up. ‘I was worried that most of the students would hide their feelings and questions, they are at that age where they don’t like speaking about feelings much. Doing it this way is perfect.’
‘Glad you think so. I didn’t want to over step the line or anything, so please just tell me if I do anything wrong.’ Claire said quickly.
‘Not at all. You’re a kind hearted soul, Claire. I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d rather have working by my side, any ideas at all feel free to go ahead with them. I trust you.’ Loki said as he reached out and squeezed her shoulder.
Claire felt really warm and fuzzy inside.
‘Thank you, Loki.’ She smiled up at him.
Loki had to resist the urge to swoop her into his arms, it was made easier when students began entering the class. He stepped back from Claire, distancing himself a bit. Claire cleared her throat and continued handing out sticky notes to everyone.
The day wasn’t quite as bad as Loki had thought it was going to be. Claire’s idea of the anonymous notes was a big hit, everyone had a question or feeling to write down, some even had multiple they put into the box. There wasn’t much in the way of history taught that day, but it had been expected.
‘I don’t know about you, but I could really do with going for a drink before going home… Would you like to join me?’ Loki asked Claire when the last student left the room.
‘It’s like you've read my mind.’ She smiled at him.
After packing up, they both made their way to the local pub, the same one that they’d gone to with the other teacher’s before. It was a little quieter than the previous time, which was fine by them as they were needing to unwind a little.
As well as getting drinks, they ordered some food to share.
‘You’re being stalked by bats? Seriously?’ Loki chuckled as they sat down and got comfortable at a small table in the back corner.
‘Yep, I’m telling you, there was two of them squabbling on my window-ledge this morning, it was very odd. They’re either stalking me or I’m some kind of bat-woman.’ She laughed.
‘So, if you come in tomorrow with a colony of bats following you, I won’t be surprised.’ He grinned.
‘Maybe I could train them, get them to do my evil biddings.’ Claire teased.
‘Evil biddings? I doubt you have an evil bone in your body, darling.’ Loki smirked.
‘I’m sure there’s one somewhere.’ She laughed.
A waiter came over with their food and they both tucked in straight away, Loki realised how hungry he actually was.
‘I’ve not eaten much at all today. This is far too good.’ Loki groaned as he stuffed a chicken wing down his throat.
‘At least today is over, hopefully it will get easier now.’ Claire said softly.
‘Fingers crossed.’ Loki agreed.
‘Did you see Chris today?’ Claire asked.
‘Yes. He showed his face in the morning.’ Loki said gruffly.
‘Ah… Did he seem to take any responsibility?’
‘He tried to reason his actions, but I know he’s only trying to keep his façade up on front of the other teachers.’
‘Well, at least the students have you looking out for them. I’d have given anything to have a teacher as caring as you when I was at school. Half the teachers I had didn’t even care about bullying going on.’ Claire said with a smile, making Loki smile too.
‘The others are pretty good teacher’s too, aside from Chris, it is a good school.’ He admitted.
‘I just don’t understand why the police haven’t been able to catch the person who did it, surely Kirsten would be able to give a description, if not a name, for the drug dealer who killed Stevie?’ Claire asked, it had been bugging her all day.
‘Honestly, our police force is a bit… useless, to put it kindly. I’m not sure if Kirsten has been able to give a description or not, she was pretty traumatised.’
‘I guess so.’ Claire hummed.
