Ryuunosuke/Shinobu, 54 & 35

Secret Relationship+Bathtub Fic

Shinobu and Ryuunsouke have been dating for about a year, but neither has outed themselves yet. For Shinobu it’s her own nervousness about being seen as weird, even though she’s been learning normality is a lie. For Ryuunosuke it’s pure stubbornnes, because it would be one thing her idiot old man would actually approve of.

Of course, Shinobu and Ryuunosuke have been invited along by Lum to yet another massive Mendo family facility in Shutaro’s futile attempts to court her.

What would undoubtatly have a fourth wall breaking joke about stretching the definiton of “Bathtub” the Mendo bathouses have swimming pool sized tubs, private tubs. While Ataru and Mendo pull their nonsense with Lum cheering on her Darling Shinobu and Ryuunosuke manage to get some private time. This leads to some awkardness because, well, they’re dating but this is the first time they’ve been alone together in a setting like this.

Neither have gone much father than kissing, and sharing a bath without other people to interact with to make it Not Weird makes Shinobu flip. Literally. She flips over a statue of one of Mendo’s ancestors with an unfortunately placed fountainhead.

Anyways, Ryuunosuke tries to play it cool, but then each time she tries to get a little closer to her girlfriend some nonsense form Ataru/Mendo/Lum bursts in and they have to back away. (This gets increasingly absurd)

But, in the end, they do get at least a kiss, in private, just as they’re leaving the dressing room.

Amazing. I love how romantic this is you can just see from how they look at each other’s eyes there is so much love.

So, uh, what do you think about Ryuunosuke, or the RyuuShino ship? I'm not asking because I'm the biggest RyuuShino shipper in the English UY fandom, as far as I know... Well, maybe...

I do love Ryuunosuke, she deserve love, but unfortunately I'm not a big RyuuShino shipper x) I prefer RyuBen (if it’s the good name), but both of them are good !
