ok, so, ryuji isn’t exactly dumb. at least not in the beginning (since that’s how far I’ve gotten at least. I’m still on Kamoshitface’s palace) Like, when morgana is explaining how the metaverse works and all that, and ryuji not getting it; it makes sense! He just got transported to a place he didn’t know, assumes that it works like real life, cause, y’know, what else is he supposed to think, and then gets confused when the place doesn’t work like that. And then he gets yelled at by a freaking talking cat of all things about him being an idiot after just one explanation, just ONE. anyone would be confused and not understanding in that kind of situation! Honestly, morgana could be a bit kinder.

I didn’t romance anyone in Persona 5 (who has the time?!), so it was fun to get everyone’s pity chocolate the day after Valentines Day. I also got to hang out with Ryuji and Yusuke while Soujiro just shook his head at us. Ryuji realizing that maybe there was a reason he didn’t have a girlfriend and that he should spend time working on himself rather than inappropriately chasing girls was also a wonderful touch.

I headcanoned my Joker as aromantic allosexual, so I also enjoyed being able to tell Soujiro that relationships just weren’t for me. I realize that’s not what the authors were aiming for with that dialogue option, but I still liked it.
