People in the Greater Seattle area, be warned of this individual! He has one Domestic Violence conviction, several arrests and DV/Harassment cases and an extensive history of abusing other people. He has also raped several people, including former romantic partners and minors, but he has never faced an arrest or legal problems from his sexual abuse of others.

Please share this post to protect people, you don't have to live around Seattle or Washington state to share, you don't even have to live in the United States. Any reblog helps! So does just talking about this with your friends and mutuals and telling them to avoid him. He's probably still active on social media, but on a more anonymous level.

So I've been trying to add image description and alt/accessibility text to the survivor stories I've posted on here and plan to post on here.

I hope it's readable and makes these survivor stories and community warnings more accessible to visually impaired people and anyone else who needs these additions.

I just want to ask if I'm doing them right and text readers would be able to read the image description/accessibility texts that I've made.

I didn’t want to have to make this post because this is EXTREMELY triggering. Ryu Roh/Chiyong Roh is a r*p*st, ab*ser, and p*doph*le. We began dating last june of last year after he disregarded my boundaries and BEGGED me to be in a relationship with him,

I had said I needed time, and didn’t want to rush into a romantic relationship and he said ‘Just give me one chance.’ He insisted on visiting me in California soon after even though I said we should wait. While he was visiting, I was in a really bad situation, Ryu took advantage of this and suggested that I move in with him.

I moved to Washington where I only knew a couple of people besides him. I found out he wasn’t allowed to have people live with him. He had a lot of control, because I couldn’t leave the apartment unless he was with me because I didn't have keys to the apartment.

Ryu was jealous, controlling and abusive. I was very suicidal because of my relationship with him and someone helped me get health insurance so I could go to therapy and Ryu was very angry. He showed up to my therapists office once and he’s now banned from that office. 

He would interrogate me anytime someone added me on social media. I found out later it’s because he ab*se* many people and he didn’t want his victims to find me and speak to me. When we argued and I would try to leave he would physically stop me from leaving.

Or when I would say I’m done he would tell me I had to leave(when he knew I had nowhere else to go immediately) then would tell me I didn’t want to break up with him, make me say I loved him then force me to have sex with him. He physically assaulted me several times. 

He r*ped me and made me say it wasn’t r*pe. He forced me to do things I didn’t want to do in front of other people and coerced me into other things…..He bragging about r*ping other people to me. At the end of last year he assaulted me and he called the cops on me but this time I was able to escape.

I ran out of the apartment with only a backpack. He told the police I was trespassing and squatting in his apartment meaning I would need police to be present to retrieve my belongings including my cat. It was also December in Washington and I waited several hours in the rain just to try and get my cat and all of my belongings.

There are many people who knew we lived together and he was lying. He lied to the only other people he thought I knew in Seattle because he wanted me to be homeless. He lied and said I’ve done things he’s actually done to me. My friend introduced me to someone who thankfully let me stay with her.

When I received a restraining order, I found out that he had assaulted another person he dated and also broken into another ex-partner’s house. I found out after we broke up, he r*p*d a minor before I met him and I also found out he used to hang out at high schools to “meet” people.

I was informed a month ago (after we broke up ) he was dating a minor who is in high school. Ryu has harassed several people, and not only romantic partners. He continues to attempt to get vulnerable people to move in with him.

For some reason he tends to target people who identify as non-binary, and women. He also tends to target other POC. He lies about the people he has abused, so his future victims won’t talk to them and find out the truth.

He lies, harasses, and threatens people into silence. As we know the system is fucked up and that’s why my rapist who has a history of ab*se is free (to keep abusing)

Other victims have reached out to me, and I know despite others warning people about him he’s continuing to try to take advantage of young vulnerable people. He continues to talk about me online and had his best friend get a job where I work. 

TW: transphobia, I wanted to add Ryu is extremely transphobic and has no idea i’m non binary, I’ve heard him dead name several people because he didn’t like them, but he preys on non binary people.”

October 2024 update

So there isn't much to update people on when it comes to Ryu (legal first name: Chi Yong) Roh as of 2024. He hasn't been arrested since October 31st, 2023 and was released shortly afterwards. So as of now, he's free to my knowledge.

He just got off of a 24 month long probation this month, people were informed on the instagram and Facebook account that his probation ended on February 2023, but this information is based off of the initial resolution of the case that put him on probation.

He got arrested again during his probation in August 2022 and his initial SOC turned into the judge finding him guilty and convicting him of DV in October 2022, however the judge used an extended probation as an alternative sentence to jail time due to other incidents and factors influencing her judgment.

Since charges weren't pressed against him in October 2023, it seems that arrest didn't count as a violation to his extended probation.

Basically he's still free, he was on probation until now and likely still anonymously active online on other sites if not here.

All I know is that last year, he was arrested on Halloween on some D/V charges but he was released from jail the next day and the case seems to have never made it court so there weren't any charges.

There are no updates for 2024 about him, he's free and not on probation, so Seattle and Western Washington locals, just be sure to stay from this individual.

His blog has been inactive for 5 years and I doubt he's on tumblr anymore, but I don't have any evidence to be sure of that.

This blog and the posts on them are also for people living outside of the Greater Seattle area because he has brought several ex-partners/abuse victims from other states in the US to Washington state to be in a relationship with them. I dont know if he has tried to target people outside of the United States, but there's always the possibility these warning posts could help people outside of the US too.

I also want to urge people online to be on the outlook for anyone who goes by the alias "Kyle Grier." Ryu/Chiyong uses that name to introduce himself to people on certain websites like Facebook and 4chan.

He may have other aliases we aren't aware of yet, and he's often looking to recruit people who live outside of the state of Washington to come and live with him here.

This blog to warn everyone, not just Seattle/Western Washington locals

"Ryu" Chiyong Roh based in the Greater Seattle Area, but he has moved in several of his victims from other states across the country to Washington state to start or continue their romantic relationships.

In reality, this was also in service of displacing them from their loved ones and support systems back home and further his proximity and control over their lives.

Even if you don't live Seattle, it's possible he still might to try to talk to you or someone you know anonymously online to get them into a relationship, sexually harass them or otherwise abuse them. It's also possible he might try continue to attempt to bring people to Washington to live with them.

Also I have seen people outside of the USA get abused and harassed by him online, so it's a good idea overall to protect each other and spread these posts and the word about him.

So anyone who lives in the USA can share these posts to prevent him from abusing and displacing more people and anyone who lives outside of the USA can still help spread the word to keep people on and offline safe.

He's probably not going to active online unless it's through anonymity nowadays since he has deleted most of his social media.
