Hi!! I know your latest work was a Renjun fic but I couldn’t help but love how nice Jaemins character was to y/n throughout . The “Do you want to be with her, jaem” line lowkey gagged me because I really thought there was going to be a plot twist. Also, the major difference between Jaemins and Haechans attitudes towards y/n was also very interesting to read! I loved the characterization of those two (Renjun too of course but he probably deserves his own anon message lol)

thank uuuu omg, yes i really wanted to create depth with the characters and i wanted to challenge myself to write about flawed characters aswell. i didnt want the series to be just another stereotypical badboy x good girl fic and im glad you guys liked it aaa😭

and also i really tried to give the mc’s different personalities, like jaemin’s a nice fboy (lol), jeno being the sacrificial jock, renjun being the grumpy sweetheart and haechan… well, you’ll see.

and speaking of haechan and jaemin’s different attitudes, you’ll kind of see how similar yet different they are on the last fic.

haechan was being such an ass because mc cheated on renjun, but in his story he’s also a. cheater…. hmmmm?

idk when haechan’s story will be set, but jaem and jen’s are roughly set at the same time (cause in jen’s story renjun says he can’t handle another person being sad in addition to jaemin). also in jaem’s story jeno was crushing on his brother’s best friend so jeno’s story hadn’t started or at least finished yet

and jaem mentioned haechan being a cheater so haechan’s story definitely happened first, unless haechan’s a recurring cheater but i don’t think that’s what you’re going for

so order wise i think it’s: haechan > jaemin >= jeno

in jaemin’s story he said renjun went out with his girlfriend out of pity, but that doesn’t sound like what happened in renjun’s story? unless he’s referring to julie... so im assuming that renjun’s story happens after jaem’s… unless he did go out with cheerleader!y/n out of pity? but it wasn’t mentioned so im going occam’s razor and saying that’s not true and it’s about julie or some other girl.

jeno doesn’t seem to be in as much as a mess (basketball wise) so i’m assuming either his story happened before renjun’s or much afterwards. and haechan mention being over at “his girl’s” in jen’s story… idk if this girl is haechan’s y/n or the girl he cheated with… but i assume it’s the first one

so logically it’s haechan > jaem >= jen > renjun

so maybe the way haechan’s acting the way he does in renjun’s is because he feels guilt that he himself cheated???

first off, haechan JUST loves renjun so he’s a bit overprotective, and out of all of them, he’s the most unfiltered one so he’s not afraid on saying shit on his head that’s why he’s like that in rj’s story.

in jaem’s story, hes just practically spewing nonsense, but he is pertaining to yn there just to rile rj off. (bc yn got the injury and rj started going out w her) and thats clearly not what happend in rj’s story so… yeah jaems out of his mind on that one.

and lets be honest, when hc says ‘his girl’s’, we’re really not sure who it is. lmao

the storyline basically co-exist with eo. without the flashbacks, jaemin’s story was longer, jn’s rj’s & hc’s story kind of happened inside that timeline.

its hard trying to fit 4 storylines in 1 timeline especially when they’re all supposed to be in college at the same time😭

im not joking when i say its one of the best fics i read bc what the hell!!! i can’t even explain how much i love it so much

it’s so deep???and realistic in a sense like i love how they were always eachothers but not at the same time, right person wrong time if that makes sense!! i feel so bad for y/n bc to change urself entirely and go to the pits bc of that situation , to not even get anything pleasant in return, it hurt.. and the way she finally realized she need time to focus 🫠🫠🫠

this is also the 2nd fic i read (i loved the renjun one too, the ending was so sweet, but fuck julie omg) and i will for sure bingeread the rest

i’m guessing jen knew she wasn’t that bad since they kinda work together (cheerleading isn’t a thing where i’m from so i assume the cheer team and the players must be close?)

i admire haechan’s dedication to his friends, like he’s a real bitch (and probably the most morally “bad” one out of the four, just from what we know so far), but i think his best quality is how he treats his friends. it shows clearer in jaem’s story he never slept with y/n even though he’s a bit of a whore (affectionate). he didn’t really do much in jen’s story because that one was mostly focused on mc and jen’s povs instead of just jen, so it makes sense he’d be more absent.

ok i’ve calmed down now and im thinking about the accident and maybe it isn’t so bad? like of course it’s still horrible, she’s might not even be able to walk properly for the rest of her life, but like the coach said she’s great and will be great even when not cheering… and it got giselle to tell renjun (don’t think mc would’ve ever confessed because those two were never gonna talk their shit out)

so at least she didn’t have her entire life ruined, just her career (haha…)

… but maybe i’m just coping and that’s not what you intended to show

actually, bc of the injury she sustained she can no longer do cheerleading or any complicated dance routine which is her dream since she’s rlly young, but not necessarily that bad that would make her not walk properly forever, i just wrote that bc it was the early stages of her injury.

(to be specific, i got the injury storyline from jeremy lin lol he’s a legendary bball player)

my exact train of thought here is that sometimes our dreams when we were kids weren’t always the one that was planned out for us… especially in y/n’s case bc her cheer career started off the wrong foot.

so yeah not her entire life!! just her cheer journey ended sooner than she had anticipated but that’s not that bad when she have so much time to figure out what she wanna do next — and having renjun with her makes it much easier ❤️
