Hi! I want to ask you since you seem to know well about Fire emblem: is there real, blood-related canon incest? I read Camileo is semi-canon and they're half-siblings, is there someone else?
Yes, actually! Not as much canon bio incest in the more recent games (unless you count… whatever is going on with Rhea, but that’s its own can of worms), but very much so in some of the older games. The most notorious is fe4 (genealogy of the holy war). I’ve only played the beginning of it so my synopses may be a little inaccurate. And i’m putting all this under a cut because i rambled for too long :)
FE4 has:
eldigan and lachesis, where lachesis is stated IN the game to be in love with her brother and love him more than other men. his feelings on the matter are never addressed, but in the official manga, he returns her feelings and they very nearly have sex — the only reason he decides not to is that he knows he’s likely going to die soon and doesn’t want her to live with that sin alone. She has two children eventually, with fathers who are implied to be two specific men, but it seems she never really gets over her brother’s death. there’s a rumor that she was initially meant to be married to him, but the source of it is extremely suspect lol. since timing-wise her first son had to have been conceived sometime pretty close to eldigan’s death, i personally like to think he’s actually eldigan’s son ☺️
arvis and deirdre. this is like… the Plot of the game. arvis is born to a cursed bloodline where iirc they’re only allowed to have one child. deirdre has grown up secluded in a forest, separate from society. at the start of the game she marries sigurd, the protagonist of the first half, and they have a child. but she’s later kidnapped and has her memory wiped, so that she can marry arvis (who was not aware of that happening). they have twins, and then eventually it’s revealed that they are half siblings; the group that kidnapped her did so because of the cursed bloodline, and had her marry arvis with the hopes that their children would have the blood necessary to revive their ancient god. the whole thing is extremely tragic.
seliph and julia. this one’s a bit Less, but seliph is sigurd’s kid with deirdre and julia is arvis’s with deirdre. due to them starting at nearly maximum love points, there’s an exploit that lets you have them get married despite negative growths to their love :)
There’s more too: loooots of cousins you can have get married in the second half, as well as a pair who are kind of heavily implied to be long lost siblings but are “just distant relatives”
there’s also frejya in fire emblem heroes book 4 who only cares for her brother (because he was the only one kind to her as a child) and is jealous that he loves humans. so she decides to try and end humanity. the whole plot is her being a brocon. and in book 6, otr goes to GREAT lengths to prevent his adoptive brother from learning about his true past (that he came from another world where he has a family iirc) because he doesn’t want his brother to leave him.
not to mention in fates, corrin can marry all of the royal siblings. four of whom (xander, camilla, leo, elise) they grew up alongside and believed were their biological siblings until the start of the game. I think all four of them believed corrin was their bio sibling too, but that’s never made 100% clear. At the start, corrin learns they were kidnapped and are actually a half sibling of the hoshidan royal family (ryoma, hinoka, takumi, sakura) and that their real mother is the others’ stepmother. but corrin can also marry those 4. Turns out their father ISN’T corrin’s father, but only one of the routes actually talks about this in the plot. In the other route where these characters are an option, corrin does not know unless you choose to marry them. Ryoma has always known, but was told not to share that information with you, while the other three find out at the same time as corrin (from a letter from their late step mother). Basically, corrin can marry any of their adopted siblings OR step siblings, all of whom they thought for an extended period of time were bio siblings.
they play the “it’s pseudo incest so it’s ok” card but all of these S-supports involve some level of “i wish we were actually related” or “it’s ok, we can make it work…. wait we’re not related??” AND they generally still refer to you as their sibling after marriage, so it’s pretttttty incesty. tbh this is the best non-modded marriage for leo imo, all his s supports with women besides corrin feel so awkward and stilted and fake. he’s a siscon through and through <3 Then of course the other most prominent character, Azura, whom a lot of people marry just to avoid the incest, is revealed in the third route to be corrin’s first cousin.
so: yes, lots of canon incest :) there’s definitely more that i’ve missed
#shipcest#ask#eldichesis#arvis x deirdre#seliph x julia#frejya x freyr#otr x fafnir#long post#i’m so sorry lol i can’t shut up#not tagging all the corrin ships that’s too much effort#fire emblem#fates

anyway I made a french lady for shino and ryoma’s post-canon mostly as threesome fodder but also because it was fun
her name is madeline fournier and she’s the wealthy heiress to a baking company. She’s trying to get married because her stepmother is not letting her get the full inheritance/company until she gets married. Because she has no interest in business her goal is to marry a handsome foreign man at the conference she’s attending who’s either a.) a total doormat or b.) takes her far away so she can spend her money as she pleases. But shino obviously has no interest in her so throughout their games of cat and mouse they become friends

❝ I can only hope that if I nurture you, you can both move forward. And as long as this dream continues... I will be right here beside you. ❞
MIKOTO FARASHA ( FARAH ) ICHINOMIYA - FORSBERG. has arrived to Garreg Mach Monastery!
***
for those who don’t know who Mikoto is, here are bits and pieces of her character copied and pasted from her wiki:
“ Mikoto is the biological mother of Corrin, stepmother of Ryoma, Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura, and adoptive mother of Azura, all of whom she loves dearly. She is also the biological grandmother of Kana. [ ... ] Mikoto was born in Valla and is the sister of Arete. One day, she found an amnesiac hooded man and nursed him back to health. The two fell in love and eventually bore a child, Corrin. However, with the threat of the great dragon Anankos and his hostile takeover of Valla, the hooded man revealed to Mikoto that he is the disembodied soul of Anankos and regretfully decides to send her and Corrin away from Valla in order to protect her from his dragon half's wrath, along with Arete and her daughter, Azura. Mikoto was successful and managed to eventually make her way to Hoshido where she met King Sumeragi and Queen Ikona. Seeing her plight, Sumeragi and Ikona welcomed her and because of Ikona's sympathy for Mikoto she allowed Sumeragi to marry Mikoto. She became the step-mother of the Hoshido royal siblings, however, aside from Ryoma, she made them believe that Corrin is the child of Sumeragi. [ ... ] Befitting of a queen, Mikoto is calm, kind, and graceful and well loved by the people of Hoshido for it. Mikoto has a generous soul, from nursing a man suffering amnesia back to health to raising her late husband's four children and her own niece later on.
Despite her serene demeanor, she had her fair share of silly moments. Orochi mentions some of her odder moments in her supports with Ryoma and Corrin, like dressing too lightly when it snowed, forgetting she had two chopsticks in hand and ended up eating with four, or swimming with her slippers on. While she did keep herself as composed as she could in court, Orochi described her as 'like a wise sage and an accidental jester.' ”
TOA ! Mikoto will be written as post-Revelations, first having been summoned to Askr by the voice of young Azura and later following the voices of Anankos and Corrin to Fódlan. she’s been in Askr for maybe two or three years, which puts her around the age of 42-43, though she stopped aging at 40. after her death at the hands of Sumeragi, her dreams became visions and her body became immortal. only trusted few know of this ability; the prince and princess of Askr, commander Anna, and her past retainers. before her death, she was able to see small premonitions but only as glimpses into the possible future.
going by the Drama CD, Mikoto knew of her death beforehand. she told no one of this revelation and kept it to herself until summoned to Askr. another factor of her interpretation is that she’s distanced from others as a result of the constant wonky leaps in her mind / dreams. she spaces out a lot and hears the voices of premonitions when she’s in or close to a state of unconsciousness. ( also, on the topic of headcanons, I have sprayed Mikoto with light melanin. don’t be surprised, this is Elix writing her. )
Mikoto’s here as a counselor and a substitute Faith professor that also specializes in Bow and Sword classes, though not affiliated to any house because of her uncertainty in life. after all, she’s just followed the voices of her dead lover and the child she left behind— she’s not sure if anything is as it seems. though she’s no longer the present queen of Hoshido, she will still introduce herself as such, since it was the title she died with.

Title: this warmth called home
A/N: For the @hyphenzines Kith & Kin zine! It’s the Hoshido & Azura siblings!

…
i. Mikoto
Mikoto barged into the private waiting room, not even bothering to knock before she entered. She was not one for ire, she had barely realized before the past few weeks that she could get angry, but now it seemed like it was all she could feel. Grief and rage shimmered under her skin, just waiting to be released, and if she could not cry, she would yell.
Inside the royally decorated room, a small girl sat on a couch far too big for her. Her long blue hair pooled around her, her eyes taking in the room vacantly, and for one so young, she seemed so old. Sitting across from her was a familiar face, her strategist, and Mikoto spared the girl one last glance before turning to Yukimura. “What did you do?”
To his credit, he didn’t shrink. Somehow, that just made her angrier. “I know you are angry—”
“Do not presume to know what I feel,” she snapped back, crossing her arms.
He flinched. That gave her more pleasure than she’d like to admit. “It was the only way to save Corrin.”
Corrin. At that, she wilted. Her daughter. Her only child—no, that wasn’t true, Sumeragi had given her four wonderful children to dote on. But he was gone and Corrin was kidnapped and Mikoto wasn’t sure she could take care of her family, let alone an entire kingdom. “How?” she asked, her voice cracking from the weight of it all.
“We can ask for an exchange of hostages.” He smiled kindly at the girl sitting across from him. “A princess for a princess. Then you can return home too.”
The girl who had been entirely silent, almost to the state of catatonic, until this point spoke up. Her voice sounded like a song. “That won’t work.”
“What do you mean?” Yukimura asked, turning to her.
“It won’t work,” she repeated, a vein of sorrow in her tone. “They don’t want me.” She smiled pitifully. “No one does.”
And just like that, the rage burning through Mikoto like an inferno, the grief welling up like a tsunami, it all disappeared. All she could see was this one sad girl, this one lost girl, and she quickly drew her in her arms, hugging her tight. The girl started, surprised, and somehow that broke her heart more.
“Do not say that,” Mikoto murmured. “There will always be someone who wants you.”
They would have to come up with a different plan to rescue Corrin. She wasn’t going to let this girl go back to such a hateful place.
ii. Hinoka
Hinoka lay flat on a grassy knoll, one that overlooked the gardens below. Mikoto would be angry that her dress had grass stain on it again but this was important. Lifting her head slightly, she spied on the blue-haired girl strolling idly along the stone paths.
Azura, Mikoto had called her. Hinoka had dubbed her new girl instead. Or maybe she should call her Nohr girl, considering where she came from. She wasn’t sure what Mikoto was thinking, letting her roam freely in the castle. How could she just introduce Azura like nothing had happened? What were they supposed to call her? Not sister, definitely not that. Corrin was gone and her father—Hinoka felt a familiar dullness in her chest, her eyes watering, and she furiously blinked away her tears. Now wasn’t the time to cry. She had to protect her family from interlopers. She had to save Corrin.
After that, maybe, she could grieve.
Wiping her eyes, she refocused her gaze on Azura. Mikoto was only her stepmom, anyways—it didn’t matter what she said, Hinoka was going to uncover the secret to Azura. Was she a spy from Nohr? Was she up to no good? Whatever it was, she wouldn’t get away with Hinoka on the watch.
Two boys passed by Azura. They were distant cousins, if Hinoka remembered correctly. As they crossed paths, one of them bumped into her, knocking her down. Instinctively, Hinoka stood up, ready to charge down the hill. That wasn’t right, that was—
That was Azura. She was spying on her. Hinoka forced herself to sit back down, watching how it played out. Sprawled flat on the ground, Azura just lay still. Laughing, the two boys approached her. Not bothering to offer her a hand, they said something intelligible before running off.
Hinoka felt her blood boil. Spy or not, that wasn’t the way to treat someone. Springing off the soft ground, she ran down the hill. Azura still didn’t move. Had she been badly hurt? Coming to an abrupt stop in front of her, Hinoka windmilled her arms as she tried to keep her balance. “Are you okay?” she panted, crouching.
Big blue eyes looked up at her, completely free of tears. Hinoka was impressed. Even now she sometimes cried when she got hurt. “I’m fine,” Azura replied softly, slowly getting up.
There was absolutely no way that was true. Azura’s dress was ruined and drops of blood stained her sleeves. Hinoka snorted. “No, you’re not.”
“I’m fine,” Azura repeated, shaking her head. Her fingers shook as she tried to wipe the dirt off her palms. Despite her nonchalant attitude, she flinched when she found a scrape on her palms. “Oh.”
None of this sat right with Hinoka. And people called her stubborn! “That’s it, you’re coming with me,” she declared, gingerly grabbing Azura’s arm. It was the only place that didn’t look injured.
Azura stiffened. Looking at her with distrustful eyes, she tried to pull her arm free. “What—”
“I’m going to bandage you,” Hinoka explained, gently tugging Azura forward along the path.
Resisting, Azura shook her head. “I don’t—”
“You do!” Hinoka tried again. “I’m great with bandages! You can ask anyone!”
Azura stared at her, then at the hand connecting them. Quietly, she nodded, allowing Hinoka to pull her along. “Thank you.”
Hinoka grinned. Puffing up her chest, she added, “And if they ever do anything like that to you again, you call me. I’ll teach them to mess with you like that.”
“But—”
“No buts,” Hinoka interrupted firmly. “I’ll help you, alright? So don’t try to do everything on your own.”
Strangely enough, she meant it.
iii. Ryoma
Ryoma did not pride himself on much but one thing conceit he allowed himself was that he knew how to handle his family. Whether it was the oft-sullen Takumi, shy Sakura, brash Hinoka, or even his kind stepmother, it didn’t take more than a look at their face to guess what they wanted. His family was expressive in ways he wasn’t, and perhaps there were two things he allowed himself to take pride in.
However, the little girl quietly observing the Zen garden was a complete mystery to him. Ryoma stopped walking through the castle and glanced at Azura as she stood primly next to a pond, her eyes downcast as she observed the minute ripples on its surface. It had been over a year since she’d come here, a year since Mikoto had asked them to take her in as though she were one of their own. Whatever hope they had for Corrin’s return, it would not be through a hostage exchange. That much was clear by now.
Ryoma curled his hand into a fist. He could not understand what sort of father would abandon their child like that. Perhaps Nohr was full of monsters, just like the rumours claimed. No; he shouldn’t think like that. While Mikoto was managing the country well, it was only a matter of time before he came of age. He had to be ready. There was always the chance to negotiate, to save Corrin. The people of Nohr were people, just like his own, and there was some way to convince them to do the right thing. He refused to think otherwise.
What would become of Azura then, he wasn’t sure. Despite seeing her on almost a daily basis now, Ryoma had just as much knowledge of her thoughts as he had the first time they’d met. Quiet and withdrawn, she acted like she was ready to be discarded at any minute.
Then again, maybe she was. His expression softened as he watched her. Her family had forgotten her. And he wasn’t entirely blind to how the nobles here talked about her.
“Do you need something?” Azura turned to him. Despite the question in her words, her expression held no curiosity at all.
Ryoma started. Just when had he gotten so close? Somehow in his musings, he had wandered next to her. “I…” he trailed off, not sure what to say. “Do you enjoy the water?” He winced. That was certainly awkward.
Azura observed the water once more. “Yes.” She didn’t quite smile, but the corners of her lips turned up. “It’s very calming.”
So she did have other expressions. Ryoma smiled. Standing next to her, he peered down at the mirror-like waters. “I also find it calming. I find it easier to gather my thoughts here.”
“Yeah.” Azura peeked at him furtively and he suppressed a chuckle. There, that was more like it. With the way she acted sometimes, it was easy to forget that she was a kid. Hinoka and Sakura had started playing with her, dragging her off on one adventure or the other, but Takumi was still distant. Perhaps he should talk to him about it.
“Have you seen the fountain in the center of town?” he asked, clasping his hands behind his back. “It’s very relaxing to sit near it and listen.”
“Fountain?” A note of curiosity rang in her voice, though she was quick to squash it. Azura shook her head. “No. I…I haven’t left the castle.”
Since I’m a hostage went unsaid, and Ryoma closed his eyes. By this point, that was no longer true. Mikoto had started treating her like a daughter, his sisters as a friend, and he…well, he wasn’t sure what he thought of her yet, but she certainly wasn’t a hostage. Opening his eyes, he held out a hand. “Would you like to go today? I can show you where it is.”
She looked at him again, hope in her eyes. This time, she couldn’t stop the emotion in her voice. “Really?”
“Yes, really.” If this was how she reacted to seeing a fountain, how would she react to a Pegasus ride? Or to the town’s festivals? Would she smile fully? “I think you’ll enjoy it.”
Hesitantly, she took his hand. “Thank you.” While she didn’t pull his hand, she did look at him expectantly. It seemed even Azura could act childish when it came to things she wanted.
Ryoma didn’t stop the chuckle this time.
iv. Sakura
Sakura had planned Corrin’s return a thousand times in her mind. The kingdom would throw a huge party, bigger than any of their festivals. Fireworks would streak across the air, exploding into multi-coloured flowers, and no one would go to sleep till dawn. All of her siblings would spend the night laughing; even Takumi would drop his perpetual scowl and grin. They’d eat childhood favourites and tell Corrin everything she’d missed and maybe, just maybe, Sakura wouldn’t have to feel guilty about the kidnapping anymore.
Yet the pounding of her heart filled her ears instead of the festival drums, the copper smell of blood flooded her senses where savoury treats should have. Sakura quivered as she scanned the plains around her. Hoshidian soldiers fought off the Nohr attackers. A cacophony of sound surrounded her as swords clashed. Spears glanced off one another and magic sizzled and all of her dreams crashed around her feet.
Sakura swallowed. Her mother was dead, her country on the brink of war, and Corrin was nowhere to be found. Fresh tears sprang from her eyes and she’d thought she’d been all cried out by now, that there was nothing left to shed. Her chest ached and she wondered just how many times could a heart break before it was destroyed?
Wiping her tears, Sakura pulled herself together. Soldiers groaned as they fell and she clutched her staff tightly. She should be healing now. Healing who? Her siblings kept the Nohr royalty at bay, matching them stroke for stroke as the battle raged on. Should she start with the people around her or—
Blue flashed in the corner of her eye. Sakura whirled around and breathed in sharply. Just ahead of her, Corrin and Azura dashed through the field, holding hands as they raced toward the river. Where were they going? That wasn’t the way home. Only Nohr stood on the other side of the bridge.
A chill ran through Sakura’s spine. Before she could stop herself, she chased after them. Her lungs burned as she tried to keep up, her eyes never wavering from her sisters’ backs. “Corrin!” she yelled desperately. “Please! Stop!”
Corrin turned abruptly, sword in hand. There was something dangerous about her. Something feral. “Sakura?” she uttered, surprised, and the feeling washed away, leaving behind only a confused girl.
Sakura gasped for breath as she came to a stop. “Corrin…” She tried to control her breathing, her skin burning as she stood there. “Where are you going?”
At that, Corrin flinched. “I…”
“You’re not going to Nohr, are you?” Sakura gripped her staff tighter, unable to stop the tremble in her voice. “Are you leaving us?”
“I…I don’t…” Stricken, Corrin looked at Sakura, then at their siblings. Worry filled her face as she watched the battle. “I just…”
Somehow, that uncertainty hurt even more than rejection. How could Corrin leave them now, after all that had happened? It shouldn’t even be a question; between kidnappers and family, it was obvious what the answer should be. A dark, sticky feeling ran through Sakura, this anger that she didn’t know what to do with. Forcing it down, she turned to Azura. “Please,” she begged. “Don’t leave us. Stay.”
She didn’t think she could handle the heartbreak of betrayal.
Azura’s eyes widened, surprise evident on her face. Glancing at Corrin, and then at Sakura, she murmured, “Me? You’re asking me?”
“Yes!” Sakura closed the distance between them, grabbing Azura’s hands in her own. They felt so warm between hers. “We’re sisters, aren’t we?”
Azura didn’t reply but she didn’t pull away either.
v. Takumi
Azura sang, a soothing melody that washed over Takumi like a wave. As soon as the army finished setting up camp, she had disappeared. Takumi wished he could have been surprised to find her by a nearby river, serenading the moon. No, the only surprising thing was that he knew exactly where to find her.
Standing stock still behind her, he listened as she sang. Even without her pushing magic into her voice, there was still something powerful about it. Something unsettling and unearthly and maybe that was what he struggled against all his life.
No, that wasn’t quite right. Takumi clenched his fist, his nails digging into his skin. To put it like that was to pretend he had done nothing wrong, and that certainly wasn’t the case. Even now he could feel the dark energy sparking under his skin, the alternating tidal waves of depression and jealousy threatening to crush him. Her voice cut through them all, bringing him to his senses, and all he could feel now was shame. Clearing his throat, he stepped forward.
Azura stopped singing immediately. Spinning around, fear flashed across her face before she recognized him and relaxed. Smiling softly, she greeted him, “Takumi.”
There was no malice in her voice. It would have been easier if she had hated him, even just a little. Mercifully, she was alone. He didn’t think he could do this with an audience. “Azura.”
They stood there awkwardly, staring at one another. The wind blew softly across the water, a cool breeze that played with the hem of her skirt. Azura brushed a stray lock behind her ear, her expression confused. “Can I help you with something?”
Yes. “No.” This was something he had to do on his own. Gritting his teeth, Takumi bowed his head. “I’m sorry for how I treated you.”
There was a long moment of silence before Azura started. “What?”
“I’m sorry for how I treated you,” he repeated, trying to keep the impatience out of his voice.
“Takumi…” A white dress filled his sight and two gentle hands grabbed his shoulders, straightening him until he looked Azura in the eye. “That’s fine. I’m glad that you’re better now.”
Somehow, that made him only feel guiltier. Apologies would not get him out of this. Not for how he treated Azura, nor for how he treated Corrin. Action was the only way to make up for what he did and he covered Azura’s hands with his own. “Sister.”
Her eyes widened before she broke into a wide smile.
vi. Azura
Azura scanned the campfire. For once, none of the royals were on patrol duty. Ryoma and Hinoka sat on one side, discussing tactics. As usual, Hinoka was very animated, her hands flying all over the place as she talked. On the other side, Sakura and Takumi exchanged smiles as they watched the fire, allowing for a moment of peace in the midst of war.
Next to her, Corrin watched them all with a happy smile. “I wish we could stay like this forever,” she murmured, glancing at Azura.
She smiled softly. “Me too.”
“After the war…” Corrin bit her lip, looking unsettled. When Azura gave her a questioning look, she whispered, “I’m not sure where I want to stay. Nohr, Hoshido, they’re both filled with precious people to me.”
Azura wished she could understand. A pang of jealousy ran through her. To be torn between Nohr and Hoshido, between two families she didn’t want to part with—Azura couldn’t even imagine it. Nohr had only ever been cold and foreboding to her. A bitter place, filled with dark memories. What did it look like through the lens of love?
Her only memories of warmth were from Hoshido. No. Azura looked at the people sitting in front of her. Her only memories were from her siblings, her family. From these people who’d taken her into their lives without asking for anything in return.
“I’m sure you’ll make the right decision,” Azura murmured, still watching her family. What an ordinary sight. If only she could see it forever. Even now, she could feel her life draining away, her body held together by little more than her will. More likely than not, she wouldn’t live to see the peace after war. More likely than not, she would disappear, forgotten.
“I hope so.” Despite her troubles, Corrin smiled. “You’re staying here, right?”
It was a foolish wish. Azura made it anyway. “Yes, I want to stay with them.”
She didn’t want to leave this warmth she called her own.

🎾 Reaching Out (Tenipuri) #1: The Twins
Genre: Friendship, Family, Comedy, Fluff ☁
Word Count: 1,887 ☁
Pairing: OC x ?? ☁
World: Prince of Tennis ☁
Author’s Note: This was written a long time ago and remains as one of my favorite pieces to date. I don’t know if I’ll be completing this series, but I’m still proud of it and want to post what I’ve already written.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
Rojo Kira followed the pathway toward the tennis courts in Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku, the ponk of the balls growing louder with every step she took. School had ended a while ago, leaving only the after school clubs behind. More specifically, the famed tennis club that the junior high students seemed to go nuts over. The high school division had a tennis team, as well, but they didn’t have as much fame as the middle schoolers’ team got. The reason for that was simple. While the middle school did have other sports, tennis was their main one. It was a big deal though, with all the trophies they’ve won, I guess you could see why.
The high school, however, offered more sports, evenly spreading out the student body to cheer for each one equally; not one was more important than the other. Kira wasn’t too sure why it worked out that way, but she summed it up to the fact that high schoolers are more angsty, and need more choices at outlets they can use to vent their frustrations. Middle school was difficult, but nothing compared to high school. It made Kira glad that this was her last year.
One thing Kira had noticed about the fans at Rikkai, was that they were not at all as crazy as everyone believed. Sure, there were a few delusional nut jobs that believed they could win the love of their beloved regular-sama, but most of the kids who cheered and supported Rikkai were doing it because they loved the team and wanted them to win. At Rikkaidai, it was all about rising together as one to annihilate the enemy. It was as simple as that.
Still, Kira thought it a bit stupid to give the regulars so much popularity just because, well, they were regulars. It’s completely pointless, but her opinion didn’t really matter in this case. She did not attend school with them so she couldn’t voice what she thought. And she thanked Kami-sama that she would never have to share a school with them because when they graduate to high school, she’ll be graduating to life.
Kira’s eyes scanned the crowd around and on the tennis courts, searching for a mess of fire-engine red hair that belonged to her younger brother, who was in his second year of middle school. He often stayed behind after school to watch tennis practice, even though he wasn’t part of the team OR the cheering squad. He simply enjoyed watching it. That’s not to say that he didn’t play, but it was on a more hobby basis; it was something he did when he was bored or needed something to pass the time. Really, the Rojo family wasn’t a very sporty family. They loved to watch, but playing one was just too much effort that could be spent sleeping or just lazing around. At least, that’s how the Rojo children are. They can’t be bothered to do anything unless they want to or are ultimately forced into it.
Kira walked up behind her brother, who stood at four ten, and set a hand on his hair, which had recently been dyed. The boy was originally a blonde, but because he wanted to try something different, he somehow managed to convince his mother to let him dye it when he started his second year. Finally, she caved and gave in to his begging – probably just to get him to shut up. It stood out glaringly against his personality. But he had been set on the idea of going with red since the day his big sister came home with blood-red highlights.
Rojo Kaizen looked up at his big sister, his usual bored-calm expression in place. “You’re early, sis.”
“Did you forget? We have to go pick up Kaoru since Ryuuka can’t do it.” She ruffled his already messy hair lightly. “You said you wanted to visit Seigaku again, right? If not, you can walk home with one of the regulars. You said before a couple of them live near us, right?”
“Kirihara-kun does. And I don’t think Sanada-san is too far away, either. But yes, I would like to visit Seigaku. I want to see Eiji-kun again.”
Kira didn’t want to imagine how bouncy and loud the cat-like third year would be when he saw that Kaizen’s hair was about the same shade as his own. She pushed the image away from her mind as she readjusted her bag on her shoulder, leading her brother to the gates. Ryuuka-san, Kira’s stepmother and the twins’ birth mother, was usually the one who went and picked up Kaizen’s twin, who attended Seishun Gakuen in Tokyo, but since she was busy, it was Kira’s job to get him instead. It had been a while since the two had visited Seigaku, so it was questionable how the regulars would react to the pair. Maybe they could slip in and out without being noticed? The pessimistic side of her brain told her not to count on it.
About fifty-five minutes or so later, the pair found themselves entering Seigaku’s gate. No student was in sight, but the sound of tennis balls being hit told them what direction to go in. Like his younger twin, Kaoru liked to watch tennis matches, but he wasn’t on the team himself. He had been asked several times by Seigaku’s team, but he declined each time. He had his sights set on the baseball club, but he had yet to make an effort to join. The twins were a lot alike, especially in looks – the only way you can tell them apart now is by the color of their hair-, and their personalities only differ slightly.
Kaizen was… well, bland for lack of a better word. He always bore the same bored-calm expression, never changing it no matter what situation he was in. He drawled when he talked, always taking on a bored tone. His voice stayed the same pitch, no matter what the situation – the only exception to that is when he’s crying, which isn’t very often. His hair, now an almost blinding red, was short, but his bangs were long, often hanging in his liquid silver eyes, which he had inherited from his mother. Because of this, he often keeps them pinned to the side and out of the way with bobby pins.
Kaoru was quiet. While he often shared the same expression as his brother, it did change. He wasn’t as rude as his younger twin, and was very kind to other people, especially where their feelings were concerned. He was more social, as well, and people seemed to be attracted to him like magnets, even though he doesn’t go out of his way to make bonds with people. He’s a lot more responsible and mature, though he tends to take on too much, and never can stand up and say it for worry that he’ll let someone down. His hair was still the same blonde color that he had been born with, the same length as his brothers, but parted to the side instead of pinned back.
Rojo Kaoru’s eyes shifted to the pair when they approached and he stood up, slinging his bag over his shoulder with a small smile. “Hello, bro, sis.”
“How was school?” Kira asked softly, pushing away a few strands of hair that had fallen out of place. Kaoru was also the weaker of the twins, despite being older. He got sick easily and spent most of his childhood in and out of the hospital. She believed that was the reason behind Kaizen’s distant nature; he had been really scared that he was going to lose his brother.
“It was good. Ryoma-kun nearly got trampled today by fangirls, but thanks to Momo-chan’s quick reflexes, and Inui-senpai’s threats, the fan club retreated back to their respective classes.”
“You’ve never taken anything from that guy, have you?” Kaizen questioned blankly, his bored gaze set on the elder twin.
He quickly shook his head, causing more strands of his blonde hair to cover his eyes, which he brushed away before speaking. “Iie. Oishi-senpai and Tezuka-buchou forbade Inui-senpai from offering his juice to anyone outside the tennis club.”
“I still don’t trust him. You should have a talk with him, Kira-nee-chan.”
“I agree.”
Kaoru’s cheeks tinted pink at the overprotective nature of his siblings, but he couldn’t help the smile that broke onto his lips. “You don’t have to worry, I’ll be fine, really.”
The pair exchanged a look, but before they could say anything else, a loud ‘Hoi! Look, Echizen!’ caught their attention before Kaizen was engulfed by a red blur. He now lay sprawled on the ground with Kikumaru on top of him, arms tight around his neck and cheek rubbing against his own. “Long time no see, Zen-chan!”
“You’re heavy,” he managed out in a bored voice, despite the fact that the wind had been knocked out of him.
“Eiji!” Oishi came rushing over, a panicked look on his face as he ushered the third year off. “Are you okay, Kaizen-kun?”
The red-head nodded, accepting the offered hand.
“You don’t do that to Kaoru too, do you?” Kira questioned, glancing at the boy beside her who had paused in dusting his uniform off. He wanted to know the answer, as well.
“He tries,” Oishi shook his head with a sigh, one hand on his hip. He really was the mother hen of the team. “But Kaoru-kun’s reflexes are pretty impressive. He usually misses and lands on Echizen…”
The elder Rojo locked eyes with the blonde as if to confirm the tale and he promptly nodded, letting her know that it was okay. Even though Kaoru had been with these guys for a year already, she wasn’t ready to trust them just yet, not with her fragile baby brother. And she knew Kaizen felt the same way.
Kikumaru edged his way closer to the blonde, poking his side with a wide grin.
Kaoru took the hint and turned to his big sister, his hands twisting the strap of his bag, a sure sign that he was nervous. “Um… nee-chan?”
“Hmm?”
“Well, Seigaku has a tournament coming up – ”
“The regional tournament!” Momo added in, excitedly.
“ – And I was wondering if, maybe, I could go?”
Kira and Kaizen exchanged another look. “When is it?”
“In a couple of days,” Oishi responded, offering them a small smile. “If you agree, we promise to look after your brother.”
“What do you think?” Kira asked the red-headed twin, who simply shrugged in reply.
“Your call.”
Kira adapted a blank look as she surveyed the blonde. She could tell with one look that he really wanted to go, but he wouldn’t argue if she told him no – that was Kaizen’s job, not his. “Alright. But we’ll be going, as well.”
“Thank you, nee-chan!” Kaoru smiled greatly, wrapping his thin arms around her waist. She returned the hug, patting the top of his head.
“Well, if you’ll excuse us. Ryuuka-san is probably waiting for us by now.” Kira nodded to the group before turning and heading toward the entrance – or in this case, the exit. Kaizen said nothing, turning around to follow the older Rojo, while Kaoru bid his goodbyes before running after the pair.

Fire Emblem Fates Headcanon
***This one contains a bit of what the folks around here call “The Feels™”***
Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura are all about 1-2 years apart in age. This actually created a pretty ideal situation back in their early childhood on one particular day, which happened to be November 15th. When Hinoka was 7, Takumi was 5, and Sakura was 3, all three were taken by Ryoma (he’s possibly 3-5 years older than Hinoka) and Queen Mikoto to the royal shrine to celebrate Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3 Day).
With Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura all dressed up in their very best kimonos and enjoying some delicious chitose-ame candy, and Ryoma helping his stepmother take pictures of his three siblings for the family photo album, it was a happy little day in the midst of a somber and troubling life. After enduring Queen Ikona’s passing, and the subsequent assassination of King Sumeragi along with the kidnapping of Princess Kamui (re-named “Corrin” by her Nohrian captors) over the span of two years, this special occasion helped the family forget all their troubles, if only for a fleeting moment.
#fire emblem#fe:fates#i just had this random thought#they should have shichi-go-san#since hoshido is basically fantasy japan#i just love learning about the culture#and incorporating it into headcanons and fanfic for hoshido#hoshido#ryoma#hinoka#takumi#sakura#queen mikoto#shichigosan#headcanon#feels

STUDY : TAKUMI . tagged by the lovely @shouyoku which is really convenient because I’d actually already stolen this meme and had already filled out 80% of it ayyy Thanks~ <3
— BASICS.
▸ IS YOUR MUSE TALL / SHORT / AVERAGE ? I have him down as 5′ 8″/173 cm, but he has no official height. He’s pretty much average height for a Japanese Hoshidan male, and he’s actually still growing. pic of me not paying attention to any other FEF muse’s headcanon heights because we’re all over the place tbh
▸ ARE THEY OKAY WITH THEIR HEIGHT ? Not at all. He wants to be taller. Ryoma’s taller, his dad was reportedly taller, and it gets under his skin how pretty much every Nohrian male he encounters, and some of the females, is taller than him. Call him short and perish.
▸ WHAT’S THEIR HAIR LIKE ? Fine, but there’s a lot of it. Ashen brown is how I tend to describe the color. The many strands make it relatively thick, but he has arguably the silkiest hair in his related family. Lbr if you compare the four sibs, Takumi’s the only one who looks like he could get his hair to cooperate with him. The cut is layered, mostly at the top, which is what creates the “fuzzball” at the base of his ponytail. He wears it up most of the time in order to keep it out of the way, and to prevent his very noticeable nervous habit of pulling it over his shoulder and stroking it. When undone, it falls to his mid thighs. On occasion, he’ll wear it in a very large bun. Don’t expect to see it down unless he’s about to sleep.
▸ DO THEY SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THEIR HAIR / GROOMING ? Yes. Especially now that he’s on his own in terms of maintenance, he’ll spend quite a long time making sure his coiffure is perfect (or at least presentable) before going out, and he brushes it for a long while every evening (a task he can perform while reading). That being said, his hair has gotten messed up more times than he can count thanks to training, fighting, and other activities, so he’s no beauty queen.
▸ DOES YOUR MUSE CARE ABOUT THEIR APPEARANCE / WHAT OTHERS THINK ? Yes. A lot. He’s not nearly as conscious of what’s fashionable or trendy as some other people he knows, but he has a general image he’d like to maintain. He won’t over groom though. This is to ensure he comes off as more “natural” and because he believes fussing over appearance too much isn’t what a man should be doing. There’s lots of his features he’d change in an instant, all because he wants to be seen as mature, strong, and worthy of respect more than anything.
— PREFERENCES.
▸ INDOORS OR OUTDOORS ? outdoors. ▸ RAIN OR SUNSHINE ? sunshine. ▸ FOREST OR BEACH ? forest. ▸ PRECIOUS METALS OR GEMS ? precious metals. ▸ FLOWERS OR PERFUMES ? flowers. ▸ PERSONALITY OR APPEARANCE ? personality. ▸ BEING ALONE OR BEING IN A CROWD ? being alone. ▸ ORDER OR ANARCHY ? order. ▸ PAINFUL TRUTHS OR WHITE LIES ? painful truths. ▸ SCIENCE OR MAGIC ? science. ▸ PEACE OR CONFLICT ? peace. ▸ NIGHT OR DAY ? day. ▸ DUSK OR DAWN ? dawn. ▸ WARMTH OR COLD ? warmth. ▸ MANY ACQUAINTANCES OR A FEW CLOSE FRIENDS ? few close friends. ▸ READING OR PLAYING A GAME ? reading, unless it’s shogi
— QUESTIONNAIRE.
▸ WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR MUSE’S BAD HABITS ? He takes things to heart very quickly and is overall an incredibly sensitive person. This results in rapid mood swings, especially a short temper. He also stresses himself a lot, both mentally and physically. Takumi possesses rock bottom self esteem, which tends to make him a pessimist among other poisons to his mentality. He’s overall anxious and overthinks almost everything, too. I suppose in the end, you could say his biggest bad habit is his severely negative way of thinking.
▸ HAS YOUR MUSE LOST ANYONE CLOSE TO THEM ? HOW HAS IT AFFECTED THEM ? He’s lost people who are important to him as well as close to him. For important people, he has lost both his birth parents. While this is severe and had a noticeable affect on his growth, it is not quite the same as losing people close to him. The biggest loss he encountered was the death of his stepmother, who Takumi simply viewed as his mother. Watching her die traumatized him to the point where he still has nightmares about it, and it’s one of the biggest reasons why he’s full of hatred towards Kamui and the rest of Nohr. Later on in the war, he’d lose both of his retainers, which would further grow his melancholy as well as instill more feelings of failure in him, since they were acting under his orders. The guilt he feels is something I’d love to address more. The common factor is that every loss turns him into a sadder, lonelier person.
▸ WHAT ARE SOME FOND MEMORIES YOUR MUSE HAS ? Any time he could spend with his entire family is usually the fondest for him, and one memory that I’ve recorded of that can be found here. Specifically, that’s his coming of age ceremony. He has many small memories that he’s fond of too, like receiving the ribbon he usually wears in his hair from Hinoka, trying out sewing by fixing some torn dolls he and Sakura owned, and naming constellations with Ryoma until he fell asleep and had to be carried back to his room. He also has a couple of very faint memories of his birth parents, of being held by them and flickers of their voices.
▸ IS IT EASY FOR YOUR MUSE TO KILL ? Depends on the situation. In the heat of the battlefield, he can kill his enemy without remorse (generally). He does this by keeping in mind what he’s fighting for and all he has to protect. Outside of the battlefield, you’ll find lots more hesitation.
▸ WHAT’S IT LIKE WHEN YOUR MUSE BREAKS DOWN ? He will yell. His voice will raise in volume, even if the change is slight, and everything he feels comes gushing out at once. One stream of thought leads to another leads to another until he’s stringing himself raw with everything deep seated he has within him. He will cry, though most of the time he’ll try and stop the tears. He’ll become an ugly mess of emotions, growing less and less coherent until he runs out of tears.
▸ IS YOUR MUSE CAPABLE OF TRUSTING SOMEONE WITH THEIR LIFE ? He is, in fact he trusts exactly five people with his life: Ryoma, Hinoka, Sakura, Hinata, and Oboro. Outside of them though, he’s very hesitant to trust anyone with his life. He’d much rather take care of himself.
▸ WHAT’S YOUR MUSE LIKE WHEN THEY’RE IN LOVE ? No matter whether his feelings are returned or not, he will be an absolute sweetheart to the object of his affections. He’ll pamper and spoil anyone he likes, but if he’s in love, that person will see some pretty clear favoritism. He’s the type who’d gain an obvious spring in his step, though it comes with a negative side. He’ll doubt himself more than usual, question if he’s someone worthy of his love’s feelings, if he’s doing the right things for them, and so on. Depending on how long this goes on, his positive feelings could be poisoned.
TAGGING: Whoever wants this bad boy

Kokichi: "Hm? I think they love me a whole lot! They're just scary to other people is all."
Ryoma: "He means his stepmother and father, not his mother and stepfather."
"YOU'RE ALIVE?!" Tsumugi gasped as the rest of her class ran up to the former headmaster of despair.
"HOW?!" Kaede shouted.
"WE HEARD YOU DIED!" cried a sobbing Miu.

What was Azura's relationship with each of the Hoshidan royal family before things went south?
I wouldn’t say their interactions were lukewarm, nor were the happiest, either. Azura mostly kept to Mikoto and later Sakura some more, while the other siblings were either away for the most part or didn’t make an effort to spend time (it’s rather sad how both Hinoka and Ryoma seem to be making an effort to spend time with her only after their lost sibling has come back).
Ryoma
Very easily the second closest to Azura. As future king, Ryoma has to know a lot of things about Mikoto and Azura, so he best understands their struggles and feelings. He’s tried in their earlier years to make the best of their situation and make Azura feel welcome, Nohrian or not, but the rest of the family were either too young or still grieving to be as accepting.
Ryoma, as he always does, usually buries himself in work a lot, but he’d once in a while go out of his way to check on Azura once in a while or ask about her through Mikoto, who oversees her training and usually tells him when Azura needs alone time or not. It’s not the best way to keep in contact, but it’s the best he can do when Azura often doesn’t stick around on purpose.
They get along rather well, to a point where Ryoma would rather share his darker thoughts with her rather than with Mikoto or Hinoka out of worry anyone else would think something was wrong with him. He still is wary of Azura because the whole concept of a Vallite priestess is so new to him, and the more he learns about her profession, the less happy he feels for her predicament, which he can’t change.
Hinoka - Surprisingly the least closest to Azura. Hinoka spent an extensive amount of time at her uncle’s place than home, mostly because she didn’t like being around her stepmother at first and she had her priorities set on rescuing Anri. The fact that she felt that Azura was being pushed as a replacement sibling did not help relations, either.
She’s grown up a lot since then, and now they make fairly good acquaintances in that they don’t pick fights when in the same room together, but Hinoka is not Azura’s first choice to trust personal information with. Hinoka isn’t as senstive to Azura’s emotions as the other siblings, and often comes to the wrong conclusions about her sister a lot.
Takumi - While Takumi has spent most of his childhood with Azura, he still remembers Anri, but only a little, so he, too, still has attachment to the Anri before he was taken away. So in some ways, having Azura as a new sister kinda rubs salt in the wounds, because Azura is definitely not Anri. He may not feel as strongly about this like Hinoka, but something about Azura always bugs him.
For Azura, it’s hard to tell how he feels about her, because on one hand, he’ll be non-confrontational, and other times, he will make his disdain for her lineage clear. However, he doesn’t know many details about her practice as a Vallite priestess, aside from the fact that she can heal people without expending healing rods, and that Mikoto is one, too. She can tell he is dying to know about this stuff, but he can never bring himself to ask.
Most times they hang out, it’s because of work, or one of Azura’s duties to visit some places to heal someone, and Mikoto tells Takumi to go because Ryoma and Hinoka are busy. They’re used to traveling with each other in silence, although his retainers make the trip more lively. Oboro is firm about her dislike of Nohrians and stays clear of Azura whenever she can, and Hinata is always so full of questions. It’s come to a point that Hinata has to ask any questions Takumi has but will never admit to wanting to ask, because it’s Hinata. At least this makes Azura smile that Takumi (and Hinata) kindddaaaaaa care.
Sakura
By far the closest to Azura. Sakura pretty much adores Azura, who stayed with her in Shirasagi as she grew up. When she’s not with her other friends, she hangs out with Azura, and often asks about her practice as priestess, although Azura is rather tight lipped about it.
Sometimes she even requests Azura to come along, which is why Tsubaki and Hana get along with Azura the best among the retainers, too. A lot of people frown on Azura going out with Sakura, but neither of them mind as much (anyone who says shit about them gets a good glare from Hana and Tsubaki).
Azura may not share all her secrets with Sakura, she feels most at ease with her. Even after Azura decides to ditch the Hoshidan family, Sakura still believes that Azura had good reason and even goes out to find the truth, although that jeopardizes her health and her bonds with her other siblings.

Top 5 Mothers in Nintendo Games
That moment when your mother suddenly comes out of the TV
Mothers. What would we do without them? They brought us to life and looked after us no matter how much we annoyed them. They produced our favourite thing to eat as babies and supported us for our entire lifes. Okay, enough deep feelings. We’re here to talk about gaming. Of course all of our favourite fictional characters didn’t appear out of nowhere, they also had a childhood and adults to protect them as we also had. This time I want to focus in one of the two ultimate, max level protectors: their mothers. Because they’re often some of the most underlooked characters in gaming and because it’s Mother’s Day here in Spain and I was both too bored and inspired to do this, so there you go, this is the Top 5 Mothers in Nintendo Games! (WARNING: Potential spoilers ahead)
#5 - Cooking Mama
Please don’t take the name of this game literally
This is one of those games that you shouldn’t take as a reference for real life chores, but at least it was very fun and charming to play. This is a game about preparing several recipes exactly how Mama tells you, and after you’re done she’ll give you a score, out of 100, based on how well you did. If you mess up at something, don’t worry about the flames that appear on her eyes, she’ll always fix it for you so you can get a perfect score next time. Because what’s better than tasting those delicious dishes that your mother used to make when you were a child? Exactly, being forced to do them yourself. Also, fun fact, this was one of the games PETA made a parody of because *drumroll* you often have to cook using animal meat. Wow, such pain.
#4 - Lusamine (Pokémon)
she protec but she also attac
While dad went out for cigarettes and never came back, mom releases a few tiny deadly beasts to terrorize an entire region, just like your average family. Apart from being a major character in the main story, she’s also the mother of two even more recurring characters from the game: bagkeeper Lillie and edgelord Gladion (who names his son like that again?). Though at first she pretty much ignores everything both of her children warn her while she’s about to develop her Ultra-wicked plan (totally unintented reference), she’s actually a very nice person with a very big and deep heart, but suddenly dad vanished and things changed. So remember, kids, if you see that your dad has plans to leave, stop him. Your mother just might be about to release an ultra-ripped mosquito among other beasts to take over your home region.
#3 - Wrinkly Kong (DK)
Good memories never fade away, literally
So this is where sadness and all those deep feelings begin. She’s Donkey Kong’s grandmother, which means she’s the mother of her mother and therefore is a mother (whew...). Sadly, she passed away as soon as the events from the first trilogy ended, but that doesn’t mean she’s gone forever. In Donkey Kong 64, her ghost is wandering around the stages ready to give some useful tips to the player. And it’s no mystery that she knows so much, since she was one of the best teachers at the Kong Kollege (yeah, with K), as well as the wealthiest member of the family. And there she is, sharing her knowledge even if the afterlife. She’s coming for you Lady Palutena.
#2 - Queen Mikoto (Fire Emblem)
Fire Emblem incest jokes wouldn’t be possible without her
Does she remind you of someone in particular? No? Well, that’s normal. When did Fire Emblem children remotely looked like their parents? Absolutely never. And she owns quite a large legacy of children, so get ready: she’s the mother of your avatar, and the stepmother of Ryoma, Hinoka, Takumi and Sakura, also known as the red-haired gang. But if that wasn’t enough, she’s also the adoptive mother of Azura. Yes, she’s the only one with black hair in the entire family. But having an obsession over raising children is not everything she does, in fact, she takes the role of queen and ruler of Hoshido. The story goes on and on but I think I’ve already spoiled enough, so moving on.
#1 - Hinawa (Mother 3)
Insert joke about the title of the game right here
Hinawa is one of the reasons why you don’t want to be Lucas. It’s better to watch him get bullied at the Miiverse stage from Smash Bros. Her story kicks off tragically, with her dying at the very beginning of the game. However, as with Wrinkly, she’ll still be present until the very end of the game (massive spoilers ahead), where she convinces Lucas brothers, Claus, to commit suicide during the final boss battle in order to join her at heaven. That gotta hurt a lot. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean he ignores Lucas. Her spirit appears whenever he feels alone and helps him go through his adventure. I guess that if Nintendo doesn’t want us to see homosexual couples in Fire Emblem or Tomodachi Life, he’s not gonna let us play this game outside of Japan, even though like 99% of all Nintendo fans are aware of this.

I just typed up a response to this and then lost it because i'm an idiot so lightning round time
If Intsys wanted them to be marriage prospects they shouldn't have ever treated corrin like she was a literal royal sibling. It's just lying to the player, not to mention it actively makes LESS sense when you see how differently she is treated in Nohr compared to the other siblings, and you consider how they're basically telling her that she's in the line of succession but she's not.
What would have made more sense and also would still allow you to tell a story about found family while also giving you a non-creepy way to marry your royal waifus would be to treat Corrin as a noble orphan and not a sibling.
- In Nohr you get a chance to decently explain why she would be raised in isolation for so long with only the nohrian royal family as friends
- in Hoshido this is literally accurate; ryoma and probably hinoka would both know that Corrin is not their biological sibling but rather their stepmother's daughter from a previous relationship, so she's not royalty and eligible for them to marry when she gets older (that may even have been the Plan)
it just doesnt make sense to write it with creepy incest vibes unless that's straight up what you're going for.
everything about fates is stupid but ESPECIALLY the way S supports between corrin and the royal families + azura are handled
it’s a problem that was entirely manufactured because you could have just written corrin and her relationships with the royal families differently and now there’s no weird creepy sibling dynamics
it’s almost like the game is going OUT OF ITS WAY to cater to weird fetishistic incest vibes???
and is it just me or does it present corrin/azura as like a Clear Canonical Option in the same vein as eliwood/ninian?? but then at the VERY LAST MOMENT it just hands us a throwaway “oh but you’re cousins lol!” that then fails to change ANYTHING about their relationship, or to have ANY consequences whatsoever. I actually saw someone make the argument this morning that because of Corrin’s draconic heritage she’d inherit the Vallite throne regardless and I’d never thought of that but it makes perfect sense, so like… you could write out THAT relation too???
so for what purpose do any of these relationships even exist??? either commit to corrin being Communal Royal Sibling and take out the S supports, or make her NOT a member of the respective royal families so that you don’t have to skirt around problematic incest vibes with throwaway lines about yes-we’re-cousins/oh-we’re-not-related-after-all-your-dead-mother-said-so
