been thinking a bit about names: if ben and maddie (and ryn) got married, what surname do you think they would choose? pownall, will all of its complicated history? would they view it as a redemption of Charles's choises? or would they go for hyphenated pownall-bishop? just bishop? would they choose the (slightly silly) option of ryn's surname fisher? pondering. please tell me what choices you think they would made

related tangent, if you could re-name Ryn's daughter something less lame than Hope, what would it be? (i vaguely remember the reasoning behind that name, even though i never watched season 3)

important reminder: season 3 isn't real. don't come into my notes bitching about how the show was perfect and then they fucked it all up with someting i refuse to consider canon. i want to have fun and stay curious, i shan't be pulled back into your Pit of Anger. thanks

There's plenty of rainy days in Bristol Cove, but they don't usually get storms like this. Ryn has her face pressed to the window of the houseboat, watching the rain pound against it.

Maddie tries to make a little extra noise as she walks up behind her girlfriend, not wanting to startle her, "It's nice when it's like this." Ryn still jumps and hisses softly, but then she returns to staring out the window. "Yes."

"We should go outside." Ryn looks back at her with wide eyes and nods aggressively.

Maddie hangs out under the overhang, keeping out of the rain as best she can with the wind. Ryn has no such reservations and steps out into the storm, flinching slightly when the rain first pelts her, but quickly acclimating to it. She tilts her head up letting the rain hit her face, wind whipping her hair and it's the most relaxed Maddie's seen her in a while.

I really loved this trouple and I still do (the ending is just a fever dream. They are all safe and sound and still together)
