Hi, since the other blog went to sleep I'll send asks directly here for now!

I'm glad to hear stuff about your experience as I know I'm not alone. It's definitely really hard to drop hyperfix's, this is from someone who has been into Undertale for 5+ years without stop

These medias I consume with my head empty to give me my only dose of emotions in my otherwise emotionally empty life, I cannot just drop them

and YEA its like,, we were already kind of on the tail end of harry potter interest by the time we found all the stuff out so it was a lot easier for us to drop in that regard specifically but like,, EUGH we've had our fair share of other things that turned out bad and we go ok i hate the creators but also i Literally cannot emotinally detach myself from this thing yk. (bringing back venturiantale again!! like we've basically all but yoinked the characters we cared about because we just cannot bring ourself to drop a fixation we've had for LITERALLY eleven years at this point (if im remembering time right) but we also cannot support the guy yk!!)

and i get that !!!! sometimes you just cant drop smth like that like.. yeah media can be problematic but we are also FULLY aware of just how much they can mean to people. thats kinda why our whole thing is like,, as long as youre aware of the issues and arent just ignoring them/pretending they arent there then hey !! its better than a lot of people might do!

tl;dr while Yes we have feelings about problematic medias, we also arent free of sin of enjoying some ourselves + being into something problematic also doesnt inherently make you a bad person in our personal belief. the only reason we personally get so >:C over hp on tumblr is just that its becoming a TERF dogwhistle because theyve started realizing they can essentially form a community in hiding under it yk? it makes it hard (at least for us) to be entirely sure that this person we see on our dash (hypothetically, not directed @ anyone) is *really* just there for aspects of the media and not using it to hide under. yk??

i had !! so many hobbies honestly probably too many at this point bc i kept picking them up and then dropping them. but uh!! i liked graphic design.... and coding... and guitar.... and painting... aaand sewing...... and cooking....... and writing.. and calligraphy for a while... and video games.. and improv..... and-- (repeat times infinity)

yesyes!!! uhhh the aforementioned abandoned-ass store for one.. but other than that i liked the park in our city a lot!! a lot of us would all group up there to like.. have lunch or stuff like that. or wed just go to take up like two whole picnic tables and be (light) nuisances! we mostly just sorta talked and fucked off but sometimes a bunch of us would, like, bring game consoles (cough cough nintendo switch) and have like smash bro "tournaments" and stuff. joe and xisuma even took to making "brackets" for the fun of it and keeping track of "champions".

everyone pretty much!! /hj no but uh.. an actual serious answer - i liked hanging out with grian, for one (+ the whole loner gang but yk. grian <33). cub was also a pretty close friend id say even if we didnt see each other much because we had WILDLY different schedules. me and grian were also roommates so honestly a lot of times our activities just included being absolute nuisances to each others presence /vpos. me and cub liked to play "what increasingly ridiculous scenarios ca we inflict on othe rpeople and also how unsettling can we be before people tellus to fuck off".

oh god okay i have a lot but the first one that comes to mind is the "loner crew" aka a few of the Resident College Weirdos, right.

so, it was me (scar!), grian, pearl, stress, mumbo, and etho. i wont go so far as calling us "delinquents" necessarily but yk we did the trouble sometimes. uhh.. honestly just that whole group in general is a favorite memory but really specifically there was this, like, empty store in part of a shopping center near our school that had just kind of been sitting empty for a WHILE.. i think it used to be an old, like.. subway or something like that, just some kind of fast food(??) place. the front was all boarded up and technically we werent supposed to go inside obviously but i mean nobody was actually selling it and it was just sitting. so we maybe kind of stole it as a "hideout"/hang out place. the first time was really fun because the back door was, at that point, locked. but they had, like.. this side part that i assume was supposed to be, like, the back office that had a window, and i Clearly remember waiting with mumbo and the gals while firstly, grian tried to get the window open. failed horribly, got frustrated. etho had enough of his shit i guess and basically went "hold my beer" and they (etho) got the thing open in like five seconds and proceeded to climb through and go around and unlock the door. grian was appalled. it was true #girlboss shit honestly. but yeah that was fun. we just turned the place basically into a stupid clubhouse. some of us did the Devils Lettuce.. sometimes we'd hide out and drink definitely non-alcoholic drinks. a lot of times we'd just kinda like. vibe regardless but it was fucking awesome <3

Lol I’ll be going into junior year but I turn 16 the day before we start school (August 18th is my birthday) but technically I should be a sophomore because the cutoff for going into my grade was the first of the month.
