Amanda/Theia - 18 yo sorceress in training who is the sole survivor of another dimension that was destroyed (also my sister's oc!)

Ryan/Zeno - college dropout who can control and manipulate other people's powers. He has to rely on hand to hand combat a lot since he can't always use his powers against them

Monica/Element - on sabbatical from college; can control all the elements and has vague visions of future events. Also the daughter of Police Commissioner Stuart, who used to be a superhero in the '90s before hanging up his cape

Ben/Geist - 30-something yo who struggles to balance duties as a cop and vigilante stuff; has reality warping abilities along with "dimensional vision" (basically seeing into other dimensions on top of his own reality)

Members of the Democratic Socialists of America have quietly gained leadership posts in K-12 education to push anti-capitalist and anti-Israel views on youngsters across the US, according to a parental rights watchdog group. Parents Defending Education, a grassroots organization that backs the “restoration” of non-political schooling, has identified dozens of DSA members who have landed or sought top school board and teachers union positions in at least 15 states — from California to Kentucky and from New York to Texas. ��The Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA, has long had the goal of using the K-12 system as a way to proselytize to a captive audience of other people’s children,” Parents Defending Education outreach director Erika Sanzi told The Post. “Their anti-Jewish and anti-Israel messages in the K-12 context are not at all new but many more people have become aware of them since October 7th,” she added. “The DSA is poison in schools.”

Additionally, the report finds at least seven major teachers’ unions that either have some links to or key members who have worked with the DSA. In Colorado, teacher and DSA member Bryan Lindstrom submitted a resolution to the Colorado Education Association, the largest union of educators in the state. The resolution proposed that the CEA affirm “that capitalism requires exploitation of children” and state that the way to “fully address systemic racism (the school-to-prison pipeline), climate change, patriarchy (gender and LGBTQ disparities), education inequality, and income inequality is to dismantle capitalism and replace it with a new, equitable economic system.” The resolution was approved with slightly tweaked language, but still stated that “capitalism inherently exploits children, public schools, land, labor, and resources” and was “in opposition to fully addressing systemic racism … climate change … patriarchy … education inequality and income inequality.”

In June 2021, Lindstrom ripped conservative uproar over the teaching of critical race theory, calling it “the new Red Scare” and vowing to espouse such teachings in his classroom. “I’m going on record now,” he wrote. “At the end of the day, it’s just my students and me in our classroom and we will be discussing race, class, and gender in my history classes, regardless of what laws and policies people want to pass. Critical race theory is a component of everything I do.”

In August, during the DSA’s 2023 convention, its governing body greenlit a resolution calling for more DSA candidates to run for school boards.  “The teacher movement is the tip of the spear of a revitalized labor movement and school board races are a clear way to build relationships with teacher unions by showing ourselves to be the strongest fighters for teachers and quality public education for all,” said the resolution, which emphasized backing “trans and queer rights, and to defending democracy” as well as countering “right-wing and neoliberal attacks on public schools.” A DSA spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Perry y el “seguir adelante” 

Imposible no mencionar a “Friends” cuando se habla de la carrera de Perry, es su trabajo más conocido, más popular y global. Pero retrocedamos un poco, su primer papel en el mundo de las series fue de un chico problemático en “Berverly Hills”, un atleta popular al que todo el mundo admira, pero que, tras no poder entrar a la universidad que quería, quiso suicidarse. Durante muchos años, Perry fue ese ser popular que el mundo admiraba y en silencio batallaba con la adicción y la depresión. En su libro “Amigos, amantes y aquello tan terrible” ha confesado sus problemas, sus demonios y también nos ha dicho que podemos verificar en qué temporada estuvo tomando alcohol o píldoras debido a su peso. Cuando estaba flaco eran píldoras y cuando estaba gordo, alcohol. Después de “Friends”, Matty tuvo tan mala suerte que las demás series que protagonizaba no sobrevivieron la primera temporada.

Dentro de todos sus trabajos, quizás exista uno que pasa desapercibido pero es uno que ahorita es una suerte de consuelo tras su ausencia. Se trata de la subestimada “Go on” que sigue la vida de un hombre que queda viudo tras un accidente y es obligado a ir a una terapia de duelo para “seguir adelante”. Este grupo está lleno de “raritos”, cada uno ha sufrido una pérdida, y entre todos se acompañan a convivir con su dolor. En uno de los episodios, Ryan King, el personaje de Perry, revela que uno de sus problemas es que siempre se despierta a las 3 am, hora en la que su esposa se volteaba y lo golpeaba. Eso lo fastidia y piensa que siempre será así, jamás podrá dormir una noche completa y siempre pensará a las 3 am en su mujer. Tras varios días con ese grupo de terapia que tanto lo irrita, finalmente, puede dormir tranquilo. Es un episodio simple y bonito que enfatiza en el proceso del luto. Que mala suerte que “Go on” no pudo despegar jamás, sin embargo, queda como parte del legado, siendo uno de los más sensibles, y pese a su poco tiempo, aportó un poco de risas y esperanza.

Buck is trying so hard to deflect any positive emotion in this situation because he still feels immense guilt for "losing" Chris. Even though it all worked out in the end, he hasn't forgiven himself for it and doesn't think he ever will.

Then we have Eddie. The way Eddie follows Buck's eyes no matter how hard he tries to avert his gaze. He knows exactly what Buck is doing and he will NOT let him deflect this. He doesn't stop until their eyes meet. He needs Buck to know that's it's okay and that it's not his fault. He's following Buck's movements and forcing him to lock eyes with him.

Eddie is doing everything in his power to let Buck know that Chris is okay. He is okay. They are okay.
