'he most likely got a vasectomy at 18' love that. could you please share more little hcs like that?
of him or the 141
anyway disregarding all the breeding kink nonsense i like to spew, i believe he doesn't want kids so he fixed that issue as soon as he could. prob doesn't even have pets. just isn't home enough. tbh he's prob a nomad and he lives in an RV. all he needs is a roof, bed, a stove and a bathroom. paranoid king 👑
when he retires he pisses off into to woods, lives in some quaint little cabin with a bloodhound until newbie hiker reader gets separated from her friends and decides that as per usual, the world is not gonna give him what he wants so he needs to use his bare hands and take it for himself.
#i lost the plot i'm so sorry#the no kids is firm though#if you really wanna be around em price has a full litter#pick your favorite

MY NEW BLOG LOOK🌙
EEEKK! I cannot hide my excitement about this, because this is the coolest and most fun thing I've discovered about Tumblr as a newbie still. I have enjoyed myself customizing it, reading about how everything works, what widgets can you attached to your web. Like what?! I love how you can make it your own.
I spent a good amount of time looking at the html codes and wow... THAT is something difficult. I'm still trying to figure out the basics because it's so satisfying to me, but props to the themes, makers. You guys are so talented.
Now let's go through my blog...
✨TUMBLR THEME✨
This Pixelution theme by yeoli-thm is honestly perfect. I was browsing through the internet trying to find the best theme for me and this one touched my vision the closest. Tbf there are tons of beautiful themes. Here are some sites I've browsed through:
https://themes-collection.tumblr.com/
https://themes-resource.tumblr.com/
https://bychloethemes.tumblr.com/tagged/theme%20rec
As my username is themoonkid I wanted to stay in the cosmic feel. I picked this stars & moons picture from pinterest and just worked with the colours around it. My image shape represents the full moon as well, just saying.🤭
There's a little taylor easter egg with the sidebar image text - meet me at midnight. I'm not gonna lie, now I want to post my stuff at midnight (CET) just because of it, but I don't how I would do it if I had more than one post to post as I don't want to post them at the same time. So this thought is still in the process.
✨MUSIC BOX✨
You may already know I love music, so this music player is chefs kiss. All credits to glennthemes. They have other music players and widgets, they do themes and pages. All with instructions!!
Here's the one I have - https://glenthemes.tumblr.com/post/182383802314/music-player03
Of course I had to rename the music box to something taylor related. Other names I had in mind were:
our songs
my time, my music, my spirit, my trust
'tis the damn playlist
it's nice to play some songs
karma is my playlist
But ultimately went with The Anti-hero line👻
✨MOUSE CURSOR✨
And last but not least, my sparkling cursor. Here's everything you need to know about the sparkles, just follow the steps - https://mf2fm.com/rv/dhtmltinkerbell.php/
If you need help with anything I linked, you can message me, I'll try my best to help you.
That's it for now. I'm sure I will make some small changes in the next few weeks, but everything I mentioned is cemented and it's staying.

____________
I took these on my way home from the gym today! Tbh I didn't workout much but I did have a dance class! I've been getting dance classes recently because I've always wanted to try it and it's been so fun so far! I'm still definitely a newbie but as long as it's fun right! And! I work up a right sweat just like a workout ;-; so I find myself taking off the layers I came with in favour of staying cool 😂
Sometimes if I can't be bothered to go to the gym I like to take a long walk! Because let's be honest it takes a lot of effort to go to the gym and do a workout so it's nice sometimes to take a relaxing walk as part of you exercise! How do you guys like to get your exercise?

On curating my dash
One of the things I saw while I was reading and trying to make sense of this corner of the Internet was "oh, and curate your dash". I sadly do not remember who wrote that or when, but I think it was in response to somebody who just got insulted by an Anon. Or confused to bits by what she read on another blog, because this is no ordinary fandom and we are no ordinary, happy-go-lucky fans.
A truer, more useful and insightful piece of advice has never been given to anyone, and now I know what it means.
Over these first 72 hours, a steady trickle of sock accounts made its way in here, adding this humble page for future reference. Out of curiosity - I am a chronically curious person, with an overdriven bullshit-o-meter-, I checked their follows or likes, when available. No posts, but a whole list of people you follow or a private list of people you follow: normal as hell, right?
Some of these lists gave me the impression of a typewritten KGB list of enemies of the people: almost the entire community of shippers, or at least the vocal ones, and for good measure, a spoonful of antis. It's not rocket science to figure out why. Some of these could be the dreaded anons making the rounds with the noble task of informing the sopranos on the other side:"lookie, lookie here what the newbie said".
I do not give a hoot about who you are, but if you come in here on this horse, it's block and jingle all the way, baby. I'm also going to immediately block any of you who follows the Negationist Trifecta of P*rv, Dutch Woman and BIF. As a side note, my mind boggled when I saw an empty account follow Paul C, that strange form of life.
I do not have the slightest intention to entertain on my list, even by proxy, people who peed in our lochs and shat on our glens.
This fandom has always been, if my understanding is correct, a deeply fractioned, insecure place. People have been hurt, insulted, ridiculed and doxed for the mere joy of seeing something extraordinary about two complete strangers and sticking to their truth. I did not come here - and thought hard before deciding to step in - to add my footprint to the shitshow or write the script or further expose - how did C put it, in that infamous VF interview? - "the sliver" to the Mean Girls community. I came here to bring to this potluck table my take on things and yes, my modest Victorinox skills.
I am no Miss Congeniality to the undeserving. But for the rest of you, I am here to stay, for what it's worth.
For all of you that want to reach out, my DM is always open. It is a joy to get to know you. Onwards!

Wrong On The Money (20)
part 20 of ?? | 514 words | Teen+
Blackmail fic on Ao3 | on tumblr
Summary:
Eddie is still trying to scrape his jaw off the floor of the RV when Robin pokes her head in.
20.
Eddie is still trying to scrape his jaw off the floor of the RV when Robin pokes her head in. (The least of it all is that he can check off that one resolution about Dustin that he’d noted in triplicate.)
“Steve told me to check on you,” she offers, cautious and suspicious in a way that suggests she has no idea why. (At least there’s that.)
“Ain’t he a peach,” Eddie mutters. (He kind of is. That’s the problem.)
“Yeah. So. . . .” Robin inches her way up the stairs. “What’s up, kittypup?”
He snorts, and hops up to sit on the kitchenette table properly. “Oh, you know. Just riding the waves of some pretty damn earth shattering revelations about Steeeeve Harrington.”
Robin doesn’t even attempt to hide her smirk and ventures a little further inside the RV. “Been there. He has a lot more layers than you’d think after being around for his King Steve era.”
“Right?” Eddie sighs. “Rich parents, popular, chicks love him—not a douche?” He shakes his head, waves his hands as though clearing his own words from the air. “No way, man. No way. That flies in the face of all the laws in the universe.”
Also his own personal Munson doctrine, but he’s already torn that to shreds on his own time and doesn’t like to think about it.
The thing is, the more he gets to know Robin, the more certain he is that she would rip him to pieces if she knew what he’s done. Which sucks, because he also has a growing suspicion there’s more than one reason she wouldn’t care that Steve was at a gay bar, and . . . he just didn’t know that there were other queers in Hawkins. He would have loved to know that, to feel a little bit less like a freak burrowing into even the outcast fringes of society. If he’d run into Steve inside the club, already drunk, he would’ve happily danced with him and saved the double-take for the morning.
“I should go,” he says abruptly, hopping down from the table. “See if Dustin wants to practice with our new gear and shit.”
“Sure,” Robin agrees with a shrug, turning and leading the way back out. “And hey—as a fellow newbie to this group, I’m here if you do need to freak about all this shit, okay? If it’s in there, definitely best to get it out of your system sooner rather than later.”
It’s not what she’s talking about, but Eddie almost wants to say something. He’s not sure what, but something. Ask her if she’s a friend of Dorothy, maybe. It lodges in his throat like a stone, though, and when he swallows it settles heavy in his stomach.
If he’s learned anything about himself recently, it’s that he’s no hero outside of D&D. He sees danger, and he turns heel to run.
So he says, “No, I’m good,” and trots off to find Dustin, trying to ignore the feeling of Robin’s eyes on his back as though she can see and judge all his secrets.

Run Ghost Run 5
A03 Prev Next
description of injury
Four days ago
Cass and Stephanie had been in Illinois for a few days now. Just wrapped up a mission and had been prepared to send a status report. Midwestern’s just did not know how to chill out. One second there finishing up and the next Cass is glowing green. That was concerning, then she was talking about a potential war. Which was even worse.
Cass insisted on going deeper into Illinois. Her mind was set, and she had already taken off. Obviously, Stephanie was going along for the ride. Should they have contacted the others, probably. Especially since they hadn’t confirmed the first mission had completed. What was one more day of no contact.
Just like that they find themselves finding a patrol around a town. Men and Woman in white suits were walking around laser guns in hand watching the skies. White vans and closed roads all around them. No one in or out. Cass had certainly led them to something interesting. The Patrol seemed focused on the sky towards the town form what they could see with their batnoculars.
Going around the patrol the were able to see a run down nearly falling apart sign through the batnoculars. Barely legible words Amity Parks. As well a giant whit building. Cass pointed towards the building with a nod, and they were off.
There were more of these people in white suits, more whit vans all focused on the base. She could sense the white theme. It was surrounded by a barbed wired fence and seemed fortified. There where seemingly laser guns mounted on the fence pointed towards the sky. Whatever was going on he could fly. Were these people hunting aliens or metas? That would be a real problem.
Stephanie turned around just in time to see in the distance a grey armored RV plowing through the road blockades then the fence around the building. As it got closer, she could she the Green F on the side of the RV. The drivers had no care about property damage.
The real problem was when the RV crashed into the building two adults were pulling a passed-out teen from the back. A teen who was clearly restrained. Ropes keeping his hands to his back. They were talking to a man outside the base who looked way to excited for it to be anything better then bad. The way Cass was watching the scene confirmed a rescue mission.
Despite the looks of the building even excluding the newly made path into the building their security was weak. She wouldn’t be surprised if untrained civilians would be able to break into the building. There vents were even big enough to crawl through. They would have to do a little recon, see what they could figure out. Find the kid grab him and get out. Given the situation they did click emergency alert button. It would be a little bit till they got here but they could hold them off for an hour or so.
The vents did not cover every room in the building. They couldn’t even access a way to disable the power and get the jump on them. They were now on the lookout for anyone they may be able to pass off as. Get at least one preferable both on the floor and search for the kid.
Cass and Stephanie saw a blonde about the same height. Good enough for them. A simple knock out later and Stephanie was on the prowl. When she found him, Cass would emerge, and they would kick bad guy Butt. Hopefully nobody would ask for her name, the tag on the suit just said agent P.
Getting pulled into an operating room as she was the newbie who had cleanup duty proved how bad this case was. The kid was cut open and obviously spiraling. Not to mention the glowing red concoction injected into him was meant to hurt. Agent K and O were just awful humans. She did the signal for Cass to make her appearance as she escorted him to his cell. It was not a room in the slightest.
Agent K was more than happy to rant about the ghost to her, they were bent on destruction, stealing besides and just needed to be weapons. He didn’t keep it in at all. After a discussion with him she swiped his card so she could get the boy out of the cell. There was still no sign of Cass. There must be something lurking keeping her away. Shed just continue her own.
She managed to get a few trackers on him before freeing him and decided to almost listen to his request. She would delete it off the main server but make copies for there records. Find out who he was and why they wanted him. He clearly needed proper help and a good nap or two.
Deleting the data she turned to go find Cass. Cass was in the next room frozen.

Present
Barbara was not meant to be working in the library today. She was told forced to take a break. Things have not been going well these past few days. Steph and Cass have been unresponsive for five days. To make matters worse any signal sent to their comms or trackers would just freeze. No matter what she sent just lost in time, it was driving her bats. Banging her head against the computer wasn’t doing any good. Not to mention both Damian and Tim felt some warning. Both claimed they briefly glowed green. Nothing on the cameras or any spikes anywhere when the incident occurred. No one even witnessed it. The two couldn’t even explain what kind of warning it was. Both had been grounded for the time being. Jason was just flat out ignoring them again on top of it. Bruce had already headed out to Illinois; Dick was now patrolling Gotham alone at night. Duke during the day and Jason flat out stopped responding two days ago.
She was oh so kindly told to take a break. Hence why she was at the library today. She had planned on just using a laptop while giving the illusion she was doing something else. The sudden call out was just suspicious. Now here she was positive the bats had something to do with a worker calling out. Now stuck manning the front desk. Turned out it was a good and bad thing. Bad that there was now another mystery good that at least someone was now aware of the suspicious child. The kid in front of her had gone through something. He couldn’t be older than 15.
The kids’ bags would give Tim a run for it. Besides the bags the eyes were red and puffy underneath. The way they walked reminded her of any of having a rib cracked or broken. His breaths seemed forced a very forced. He was walking with a slight limp as well. It could just be a runaway. She might as well solve at least one mystery today.
Watching his movement led her to believe it could be much more serious. He seemed very hesitant and seemed to be shrinking away when anyone would glance at him. He looked ready to take off giving her name may get him to give his. A name even if it was just a first would be a good start. The moment the kids sleeve rolled up as he touched his throat made it more important.
Those bruises he was spotting were fresh. You could tell he had been strapped down to something then moved into smaller restraints after. Big purple bruising around his wrist. There were obvious friction burns. He struggled against it, there were smaller red lines in the middle of the bruising. Something thin had dug in after the fact. Add in the bags under his eyes only meant bad things.
The most glaring part was the black hair and blue eyes. Either he was in a bad situation hiding from something and maybe has a responsible adult out there looking him. Knowing Bruce, she could only imagine how long it was going to take for some solution. Not long once she tells them about him.
Him wanting the guest login for a computer could work in her advantage. The library technically didn’t require a name, the only reason they needed to check in was so the staff knew someone was using a computer. It was more a notice to the staff. Never could be too careful after all.
Danny once he was able to talk once he seemed to give away more info then attended. He wasn’t the best liar around. He knew he didn’t have ID or had no intentions of giving it to her. The way he paused at sister and jazz led her to believe that those bits were true. A sister named Jazz, most likely short for something. Could be jasmine or maybe the parent just liked that music style. He said his supposed name with confidence, some part of it was likely to be true. Rather than a guest logging she gave him premade account. He seemed to buy it was her account.
It was “her” account just one meant to log the information being searched.
What she knew at this point was he had obviously been held somewhere recently escaping, was from the Midwest, had a sister called Jazz and was most likely from a small town. There is no way someone from a large city would say their vice principle gave them homework for the next year. The larger the districts the more last-minute changes, change of staff’s new school boundary lines the whole work.
Regardless of where he came from it was obvious, he needed help.
First thing she needed to do was shoot a message to the group chat.
Oracle: keep a watch out for this kid. Calling himself Danny Cosmos. Something’s up with him, nothing good. Currently at the library. I’m attaching an image, it’s a tad glitchy not sure why. Most likely in danger and hiding from something.
Barbra attached an image of him when the sleeve had rolled down. She pulled it from the security camera in the library, all the footage with him was glitchy.
Signal: I’ll stay in the area as much I can. Give me a heads up when he starts to head out, will follow him.
With the message sent out Barbra watched the internet searches go on. Nothing he googled eased any concerns. A town that suddenly disappeared, the apparently lack of knowledge on hero’s, the deep dive into meta human protection, and a whole entire act declaring a species un-sentient. How could the undergrowth acts just get missed by the league. Even with it being hidden as it was some alert should have been sent.
Barbra had the feeling he wasn’t going to trust any of them. The way he investigated Gotham vigilantes after the act falling into the more conspiracy side wasn’t going to do them any favors. His searching patterns indicated that he was unaware of any of the stuff he investigated.
The whole Starling and Noctule thing was odd. Maybe he did have some early homework he wanted to do. Why else would he be looking that up, it just didn’t fit in.
Oracle: RR you should investigate the undergrowth acts now.
Oracle: Kid isn’t likely to trust anyone, he’s heading out now
Red Robin: This is going to need more than a PowerPoint.
It wasn’t even five minutes after her message when Duke replied.
Signal: A sphere of darkness just ate him. He didn’t disappear through the floor or even turn small. Could not see through the sphere or manipulate it at all. Could not get him in time.
It was at the same time an echoey voice sounded through her earpiece.

Astria has no one true god. Gods from all type of myth join together and collaborate in their realms and places on what has to be done, jobs and duties. Some of these realms have helpers that consist of witches or warlocks (sometimes wizards) to lighten the load. Very slimly will there be humans picked for these jobs.

CONFLICTED FEELINGS • GHOST X TF-141!READER PART TWO
SCENARIO: you, the reader, have liked Ghost since joining 141. Over the years, you noticed small gestures from Ghost that were definitely meant in a "more than friends" way. in this scenario, there's conflicted feelings between you two, and you want to get to the bottom of this…. **told in y/n pov**
+
The mission ended rather quickly when the cartel started blowing up everything.
I had gotten severe burns on my arms, got impaled by shrapnel, and dislocated my knee when I jumped out of a two-story window. I was thankful Rudy, Graves, and Alejandro managed to get me to the RV point to meet up with Soap and Ghost. Price, Goose, and Gaz were waiting in the chopper to fly all of us back. Rudy helped control the bleeding while Graves screamed into his radio to get the medical team ready.
Goose was practically crying as she tried to get the shrapnel out of my shoulder and face. From what I remember, I heard her praying in Japanese as she kept pressure on my wounds. Soap was beside her, the man cutting off my clothes to wrap the burns. As for the others, I couldn't see them
The moment got back, I was placed on a gurney and rushed to the ER. Ghost was the one by my side as the EMTs wheeled me in, one of them on top of me to make sure I was stable. The burns were numbing, and I couldn’t move my hands. My knee was bent in a crooked angle and exhaustion was starting to take hold. I inhaled shakily as an oxygen mask was placed over my nose and mouth, my breaths becoming short and erratic as pain erupted in my chest.
“They’re crashing!”
“We need to get them into surgery to remove the shrapnel!”
The lights went dim as I went in and out of consciousness. Ghost was shouting for me to stay awake while Goose and Soap questioned one of the doctors at a rapid-fire speed. All the sounds and noises around became static, and I slipped into the darkness that I fought against.
When I finally came to, my arms were wrapped, my knee had a brace around it, and my entire felt like I was still on fire. An oxygen mask was placed over my nose and mouth since it was hard to breathe normally.
Ghost sat beside my hospital bed, his head in his hands and his sweatshirt hood pulled over him. He seemed to be sleeping, but the minute I coughed roughly, he shot up to his feet and hovered over me.
"You're a massive fucking idiot, L/N!" was the first thing the man said to me as I continued to cough. When I tried to speak, all that came out was a raspy wheeze and my throat was dry and scratchy.
When Ghost saw my discomfort, he gently took off my oxygen mask and put a straw into my mouth. He patiently stood there, watching me weakly sip the room temperature water, the liquid stinging my throat but it also soothed.
"You were out for four days. Doc said you're going to be in here for awhile and the General is discharging you from the task force."
I almost choked on the water I drank when I heard that. Discharged?! I couldn't be! I had only been with the task force for a couple years and they want to get rid of me after this?!
"N..No..." I managed to rasp out as he set the cup of water on the bedside table.
Ghost looked at me, his onyx eyes staring back with so much guilt and solemness that it left me speechless. He's never looked at me like that. Hell, he's never looked at anyone like that, even in stressful situations. I've seen him get concerned about high risk situations, but I never saw him almost on the verge of losing it over me...
Me....
This is what Katsuki kept pestering me about all this time.
I knew there was something between us. I always have, but would Ghost actually let me close? Would he let himself be as vulnerable as he is right now if we ever became something more than comrades? Hell, would he even see me as anything more than his annoying newbie sergeant?
"I'm not leaving." My voice was just above a whisper as I stared back at him. "I'm not leaving the task force. Shepherd will have to kill me if he wants me gone from it."
I started coughing again, my chest burning from the smoke and dust I had inhaled. Ghost placed the oxygen mask back on and I sighed in relief, my eyes closing as my body relaxed again.
"Shepherd already has papers signed to relieve you of your services."
I stared in disbelief at the lieutenant, his eyes not meeting mine as he turned away to stare out the second story window.
"With that being said, I am no longer your superior and you are no longer a part of the 141."
Before I could say anything more to him, Katsuki walked in. She hesitated for a moment when Ghost rushed past her, but proceeded inside to come sit beside me.
"You gave us quite the scare. Graves was practically screaming for help by the time you got to us." Katsuki said to me as she messed with the long chain necklace she wore. The charm at the bottom was a plain rectangular locket with Kanji on it.
"Didn't think Graves cared about me. Last I heard, I was insufferable."
"Oh, trust me when I say he cares. You were new at the time and didn't exactly want you around. I managed to convince him you weren't all that bad."
We went silent for moment, Katsuki looking at the machines I was hooked up to and eyeing the mass amounts of bandages on my arms and neck.
"You heard, didn't you?" I asked her and the Sergeant nodded.
"I did, and if I have to march up to Shepherd's office myself and make him rethink his decision, I will. But," Katsuki paused for a moment, "I am surprised Ghost didn't say what he wanted to you though."
"What?"
Katsuki smirked and I already knew she wasn't going to tell me shit.
"You'll have to live in the suspense, Y/N. I will say this: Simon cares about you, even if he may not be good at showing it, but I see it. Whether its in the quips you two make, the stolen glances--a blind man could tell!"
"How can you be so sure though?"
Katsuki's smile grew as she gently brushed her fingertips over my hand to give me comfort.
"He tells me things."
She stood up and gave a two finger salute to me. I weakly nodded in response before she walked out of my room. It wasn't even a minute when Ghost came back in.
He didn't speak to me but rather sat beside me. I moved my hand to tap my finger on his, the man tensing at the physical contact I initiated. For a moment, I thought he would move away or reject the feelings I showed in that small gestures but when he intertwined my bandaged fingers with his, my heart almost stopped.
He looked down at me, those dark brown eyes boring into my soul. In this moment, I saw Simon Riley. Not Ghost, not my superior, but the man I had grown feelings for. I wished I could move, but every part of my body wouldn't do what I wanted.
Simon leaned forward and gently rested his forehead against mine. It was my turn to tense, but it wasn't from it being foreign, but rather because I didn't expect him to do it. I closed my eyes to savor this moment since it could be the last one we could ever have.
"Don't dampen the moment." He ordered, his voice the softest I've ever it be as he shifted beside me.
With what little strength I had, I pulled off my oxygen mask and lifted his chin so he could look at me.
"I'm trying not to." I replied, smiling sadly as tears ran down my face. "Once I leave, you'll forget about me."
Simon scoffed at me, shaking his head. "Fucking hell, you're a sap."
Before I could shoot back my own insult, he pulled off his mask and kissed me. My eyes widened at the sudden contact and the fact I could see him without his mask. His fingers were delicately placed at the back of my neck, his thumbs gently brushing against my cheeks. My heart raced rapidly and my face heated up. I think I heard the heart monitor spike from how stimulated I was in this moment.
The kiss was like a dream. His lips were slightly chapped, but they were soft nonetheless--perfect in my eyes. His unruly blond hair stuck out in different directions, but that was quite possibly my favorite feature about him.
He was gentle, and I didn't expect that out of him. He was rough, never showing weakness. But here he was giving himself up to me and letting himself be vulnerable and small.
When he broke away to let me catch my breath, I stared in awe. I wanted to memorize every scar--every imperfection in his skin that I found flawless. I wanted those eyes stare at me with the softness they held right now. I wanted him, and I sure as hell knew he wanted me.
"You're sap as well, sir."
"Shut up, Y/C/S."

@reusignus
“—not another word,” she hisses, eyes squinting as she tries to peer through the whiteout of this storm she’s driven them into. Roberto, sitting in the passenger seat next to her, shrugs his shoulders and lights another cigarette. The look on his face tells her he has plenty to say—and she knows he has the right to it—but she’s too wounded by her pride to let him have that chance.
Instead, he just sits there, pulling a drag and letting out the smoke with a puff with a turn of his head. Probably so that he wouldn’t cloud her vision more than it is already, though given how this blizzard is playing out it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. Meryl can’t see what’s in front of her regardless, even with the high beam lights on full force.
She sees him, from her periphery, leaning forward to turn on the dial for the radio. Good, she thinks, feeling that mountain of tension in her shoulders easing a bit as the crackling of static comes back to life and he spends a few minutes trying to sift through the noise for a clear signal.
“Well, just our luck,” he groans and Meryl can feel her left eye twitch. She knows he wants to lay it on her about how they should have waited out the storm, that even if they would have a pile of IOU’s it would’ve been better than driving through this blizzard. The point is to stay alive, Newbie.
He had a point but she was adamant on trying to push through despite all the signs of everyone else hunkering down until the worst had passed. A few more double dollars wouldn’t have meant much in the grander scheme of things, especially if they would emerge from this alive. The truck could be repaired, it could even be charged up, but lives can’t be brought back once lost.
The familiar broadcast of the Bernardelli News Agency manages to push through the static, though it’s choppy and every other word is cut out from the waning signal, but Roberto is adamant on focusing on the DJ’s voice for any information.
𝙼𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚔𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑 𝚜𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕 𝚑𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚛𝚎𝚍 𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚍𝚎, 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚔𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚑𝚑 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚍𝚟𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚝 𝚒𝚝 𝚘𝚞𝚝—𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚔𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚜𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚜𝚑𝚜𝚔𝚔𝚔𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑𝚑
Her eyes are pulled away from the road, or lack thereof, for just the briefest of moments to gaze down at the radio like she’d been told something unsavoury; Meryl can feel Roberto’s stare on her and she shakes her head with a grumble.
The truck that was issued to them for field assignments can be described as something like a fortress on wheels. The wheels themselves are massive, almost the size of a regular automobile and the carriage is a hefty weight where it would take an immense gust of wind to knock it capsize. When she first saw it, Meryl had thought it reminded her of those RV’s people used to drive back on Earth whenever they went on vacations with their families, or camping. Except this one is more box-shaped and doesn’t come with the luxuries those once had.
Still, for its size, it is pretty impressive and there are benches with cushioned seating along the side to the back where one could catch a few hours of sleep if ever stopping was not an option—such as it seems to be in this case.
Lacking sundries to actually live in a vehicle such as this, there are kits and duffles filled with first aid and a tin box that can be considered a small pharmacy. Not much in the way of food storage, though Meryl has taken to stocking several compartments with non-perishables that can be eaten in a pinch. Whatever food is here is either bought when they stop at an inn or buy at a store. She makes a mental note to pick up a portable gas stove and some fire-resistant cups. For now, food-wise, if it’s just her and Roberto, they have enough to last a few days before rationing becomes an issue.
“We might have to consider camping out in the truck tonight,” she says after a while. The radio is nothing but static, the signal lost, but neither of them have made a move to turn it off. The noise just fades into the background, acting as a balm to the racing thoughts she has about what it means to be stuck in the middle of a blizzard. They have blankets, both textile and aluminum, but if temperatures continue to drop and they enter a cold snap, then it won’t matter.
“I’m sorry—I know we should have stayed another night, maybe two! I should have listened to you!”
She slumps forward, dejected and defeated, but it’s Roberto’s lack of response that has her shoot back up to look at him. He’s not looking at her, not even smoking his cigarette. Meryl follows his stare and peers out from the windshield to try and see what he’s looking at. She reaches for the handle of the emergency lights, swiveling it around until she thinks she’s pointing them in the right direction. It takes her less than a minute to see what he’s looking at, and her eyes go wide.
“WHAT?!”
“Newbie! Don’t go out there! Are you crazy?!”
Meryl doesn’t even respond as she unfastens her seatbelt and bolts out of the driver’s seat and flies out the door. The cold hits her like a tonne of bricks and Meryl swears, loudly.
“SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT IT’S SO COOOOOOOOOLLLLLDDDDD!!”
But even so, she doesn’t let that deter her as she runs up to what had sent her flying out of the truck in record speed.
A hand is sticking up from the snow. And it’s attached to an arm!
“Roberto! Get the shovel!”
She doesn’t hear her senior grumbling, swearing up a storm as Meryl doesn’t even wait for him again and starts to shovel as much snow as she can away from the arm with her hands.
“Come on! Come on! Please be alive!”
When she manages to unearth a red coat, Meryl shrieks with a combination of elation, fear, and a whole gamut of emotions that can’t be explained as she continues to shovel snow with her hands like a woman possessed.

@clivepreaker
It was nice being on the road, stones and dust kicking beneath car tires. Hands on the wheel, eyes peeled on the horizon as the bitumen and gravel get swallowed under the car, moving him forward. Closer to that never ending stretch of road he now travels on. He was still adjusting to it, to the open windows and open road, and just how large this world could be. And how for the first time in a long time he was surrounded by people- strangers. Faces he hadn’t grown up with, and seen day in and day out. Those faces that gave him nothing but looks of pity, eyes sunken into their features, and smiles softening to sorrow on their faces- because who was Clive if not for a reminder of his own pain. “Yeah should do,” Jumping down from where he sat on the bonnet of his car, shoes kicking dust as they land. Head burying into his car for a moment to search. Part of him considers asking the kid what he needed it for, but he decided it didn’t matter too much, it wasn’t like he reached his stereo. Not when his car’s one works just fine. “It hasn’t been turned on for a minute though.”
Traveling for the last six months in Bonnie and Tatiana's "borrowed" RV was exactly how Cole imagined a never-ending family vacation would be. The bickering (mostly his fault), the veiled threats, the "family time" crowded around a joint after a particularly long day. It took some getting used to for Cole, who was used to being pretty much on his own, but it was good--it was exactly what he needed. Not that he'd ever admit that to their faces. But, like any family vacation, Cole had reached his breaking point. Rather than stick around and yell at them for no reason, he'd decided to get lost.
The older man he'd stumbled upon seemed harmless enough, and eager to help. That was a plus, even the man handing over his stereo so readily sent a wave of guilt through Cole's body. He'd offered! He could've said 'fuck off!' "Thanks. I'm sure I can figure it out," he murmured, taking it from outstretched hands. Cole fiddled with the dials, sliding his Van Morrison tape in to test it. Music pouring faintly from the speaker caused a triumphant smile to light up Cole's face. "Sweet," he glanced up at the man. "I'll swipe a new one next time I'm in town-- bring this back," Cole promised. "You sticking around for a while? For the summit?" Just because Cole didn't know the guy didn't mean he wasn't known-- Cole was aware of his status as newbie at the summit, and he only had a billion questions about how this whole thing worked.

Aaahh, I'm loving the pics from the springs! It looks so beautiful, and the water is so crystal clear. 😍😍 I love being outside, and I'm so jealous. We have rivers, lakes, and mountains where I live, but the rivers and lakes are never THAT blue and THAT clear.
I love to hike, kayak, fish, etc. Get my ass outdoors, and I'm in heaven. It's how I reset.
I've dated a couple of witches, and the witchy things intrigue me. However, I'm more into druidry. 🤗
Thrift store, antique stores, flea markets..... are all places I wouldn't mind spending my weekends. 😂 I use Facebook marketplace (modern yardsaling) entirely too much.
I am an introvert to my very core. Unless it's a concert/music festival, I don't want to be in a large ass crowd. Also, I went through a rough time, and the workers at the only gay club in town know me too well at this point. So, I prefer hanging out with friends around a fire. 🤣😂 I also enjoy disappearing for days at a time (my best friend calls it hobbit holing), and I only talk to my essential people to tell them essential things, like, I'm alive. 😂😂
The camping part of a music festival is ROUGH, and I fucking love camping. I always had our Bonnaroo site set up with a private shower, all the good camping stoves for meals, and a big ass fan. Yet, it still was absolutely miserable. My friends and I talked about doing a final hoorah and renting an RV for it.
I'm always down for music recs, and I do trust your taste now. So, sure!! I'm down. 😁
Thank you!!! I've been feeling so drawn to water lately, so any chance I can, I'm going to a spring. I wanna check out one's I've never been to, as a kid, my mom only took me to a select number of them, but florida has HUNDREDS of springs! I need to see them all!!! Lmao. But where are you from??? You said mountains, and I perked up, we don't got those here in flat ass florida 👀 and I haven't gone kayaking since high school, and that was the first time I've gone lolllll so I really wanna try that. Or paddleboarding. It sounds so fun!
And ooooo what is druiddry??? I don't think I've heard of that?? Im still a newbie with the witchcraft thing, so I don't practice often. But I just love the things I've learned so far. It's so freaking cool and fun hahah
I also use market place often, but my algorithm is messed up and I don't see anything cool other than rvs and places for rent 🥲 I need to fix it to see what cool shit is around. But yesssss my mom always took me thrifting and to yard sales/flea markets as a kid. I grew to love that shit myself lol!
And dudeeeeeee, I camped at Electric Forest and Imagine (with a big group) and I still couldn't enjoy it. I was miserable. I love the aspect of meeting neighbors and hearing all the wooktivities, and going to afters. But I need a proper bed and shower. An rv honestly sounds like a great solution!! But I know renting them isn't cheap, and getting an rv pass can be difficult since tickets for them are limited! But I hope you are able to do that! That sounds like a blast!
And yeah, lately I've been seeing my friends every weekend, but during the week, I'm to myself and take a business day or two to text back. So I get it 😂 and okay!!!! I send send you some mixes. That will probably be easier than sending a whole set of songs. Do you use soundcloud? Here's a Svdden Death mix back from 2020 when we only had digital raves online lmao: https://on.soundcloud.com/zA3dD
And a heavy mix from mvc 10:
https://on.soundcloud.com/vcXNq
They are long, so take your time listening. Maybe on a work commute or while cleaning lol. And if you don't like it, be honest! I can help you find other stuff you might like instead.

About your repackage question; yes SM did stop producing them,I don’t really know why though. The last RV,Shinee and Aespa albums did not have a repackage either (or also Fact Check for that matter). It seems like something they decided to put an end to last year, but the why evades me (I don’t really know how successful these repackages were,I only joined the shinee and nct127 fandom last year, maybe the costs didn’t compensate each other?)
Thanks. They shifted to a new model then. Singles/pre-releases/double-titles. The point of a repack is to sell more albums, only 3 new songs are added afterall. The same 3 songs can be released as a single. Or an EP with an addition of 3-4 songs.
I can say only for NCT, repackeges did well, often 4/5 of the original album numbers.
The shift is probably due to what Do said: full albums fall out of fashion. And a repackage needs to follow the album quickly, which, I assume, makes scheduling less flexible (Ay-Yo was a repackage of 2 Baddies that arrived half a year late).
Personally, I think SM should promote more of b-sides. Put them into playlists (pay for it), perform on shows. Non title-tracks go unnoticed by the general public, which is a shame in the case of really good songs (like "Kiss" by DJJ). For example, "Bahama" by aespa is a perfect summer song. SM could have pushed it on radio at least to play on beaches and in cafes.
OK, as a newbie you owe us, oldies, a story of how you got into NCT and who is your bias/bias-wrecker.

How to Repair Vintage Camper Furnishings and Fixtures
Vintage campers have a unique charm that modern RVs often lack, but they also come with their own set of challenges, especially when it comes to repairing and restoring furnishings and fixtures.
Whether you're a seasoned restorer or a newbie to vintage camper renovation, this guide will help you bring new life to the furnishings and fixtures in your classic camper.
Assessing the Condition of Furnishings and Fixtures:
Before you begin any repair work, it’s essential to thoroughly assess the condition of your vintage camper's furnishings and fixtures. Start by making a detailed list of all the items that need attention.
Check for signs of wear and tear, such as scratches, dents, rust, water damage, and structural weaknesses. This initial assessment will help you prioritize repairs and determine which items can be salvaged and which ones may need to be replaced entirely.
Gathering Necessary Tools and Materials:
To repair vintage camper furnishings and fixtures, you'll need a variety of tools and materials. Common tools include screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, sandpaper, paint brushes, and a drill.
Depending on the specific repairs, you may also need items such as wood glue, epoxy resin, replacement hardware, upholstery fabric, foam padding, and paint or varnish. Having all the necessary tools and materials on hand will make the repair process smoother and more efficient.
Repairing Wooden Furnishings:
Wooden furnishings are a staple in many vintage campers, but they can suffer from scratches, cracks, and general wear over time. Start by cleaning the wood with a mild detergent and water to remove dirt and grime.
For minor scratches, use wood filler to fill in the imperfections, then sand the area smooth once it’s dry. If the wood has deep cracks or splits, use wood glue or epoxy resin to bond the pieces together, clamping them tightly until the adhesive sets.
Once the repairs are complete, sand the entire surface and apply a fresh coat of paint or varnish to protect the wood and enhance its appearance.
Restoring Metal Fixtures:
Metal fixtures, such as cabinet handles, hinges, and light fixtures, can rust and tarnish over time. To restore these items, start by removing any loose rust or tarnish with a wire brush or sandpaper.
For more stubborn rust, soak the metal in a vinegar solution or use a commercial rust remover. Once the rust is removed, rinse the metal thoroughly and dry it completely.
Apply a metal primer to prevent future rusting, followed by a coat of paint or metal polish to restore its shine. For items like hinges and handles, consider replacing them with new, vintage-style hardware if they are beyond repair.
Reupholstering Cushions and Seating:
The seating in vintage campers often features fabric that has become faded, stained, or torn over the years. Reupholstering is a great way to give these furnishings a fresh look.
Start by removing the old fabric and foam padding from the cushions. If the foam is in good condition, you can reuse it; otherwise, replace it with new foam. Cut new fabric pieces, allowing extra material for seams and tucking.
Use a staple gun to attach the fabric to the cushion base, starting in the center and working your way out to avoid wrinkles. For added durability, use upholstery-grade fabric that can withstand frequent use and exposure to sunlight.
Repairing and Refinishing Cabinetry:
Cabinetry in vintage campers often suffers from loose hinges, broken doors, and worn finishes. Begin by tightening any loose hinges and replacing missing or broken hardware.
If a cabinet door is damaged, you may need to replace it or repair it using wood filler and glue. Sand the cabinetry thoroughly to remove the old finish and smooth out any imperfections.
Apply a wood primer, followed by paint or stain, to achieve the desired look. Adding a clear coat of polyurethane will protect the finish and make cleaning easier.
Replacing and Repairing Flooring:
Flooring in vintage campers can become worn and damaged over time, especially in high-traffic areas. Depending on the type of flooring, you may be able to repair it rather than replace it entirely.
For example, vinyl flooring can be patched using a matching vinyl repair kit. If the flooring is beyond repair, consider replacing it with new vinyl, laminate, or even hardwood for a more durable and attractive finish.
Make sure to properly prepare the subfloor before installing new flooring to ensure a smooth and long-lasting result.
Updating Lighting Fixtures:
Vintage lighting fixtures add charm to a camper, but they may need updating to meet modern standards. Start by checking the wiring to ensure it is safe and functional.
Replace any frayed or outdated wiring with new, code-compliant materials. Clean the fixtures thoroughly, removing any rust or tarnish. Consider updating the bulbs to energy-efficient LED options, which produce less heat and consume less power.
If the fixtures are beyond repair, look for vintage-style replacements that complement the overall aesthetic of your camper.
Repairing Windows and Window Treatments:
Windows in vintage campers can become foggy, cracked, or difficult to open and close. Begin by inspecting the windows and seals for damage.
Replace any broken glass and reseal the edges with new weather stripping to prevent leaks. Clean the window tracks and apply lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
For window treatments, consider replacing old, faded curtains with new ones made from UV-resistant fabric. If you prefer blinds or shades, look for options that are lightweight and easy to clean.
Refinishing and Repairing Tables and Countertops:
Tables and countertops in vintage campers can suffer from scratches, burns, and general wear. For wooden surfaces, sand the area to remove the damaged finish and apply a new coat of stain or paint.
Laminate countertops can be repaired using a laminate repair kit, which includes materials to fill in scratches and chips. If the damage is extensive, consider replacing the laminate with new material or opting for a different surface, such as butcher block or solid surface. Ensure that any new materials are properly sealed to resist moisture and stains.
Revamping Storage Solutions:
Effective storage is crucial in a small space like a vintage camper. Assess the existing storage solutions and identify areas for improvement.
Add shelves, hooks, and organizers to maximize space and keep items secure while traveling. Consider repurposing or modifying existing furnishings to create additional storage.
For example, benches and seating areas can be fitted with hinged lids to provide hidden storage. Use lightweight, durable materials to avoid adding unnecessary weight to your camper.
Enhancing Comfort with Soft Furnishings:
Soft furnishings, such as cushions, pillows, and throws, can make a vintage camper feel more comfortable and inviting. Choose fabrics that are durable and easy to clean, as these items will be exposed to outdoor elements and frequent use.
Consider adding foam padding or memory foam toppers to seating and sleeping areas for added comfort. Coordinate colors and patterns to create a cohesive and stylish interior design.
Final Touches and Decorative Elements:
Once the major repairs are complete, focus on the final touches and decorative elements that will bring your vintage camper to life. Add personal touches, such as artwork, vintage signs, and decorative pillows, to reflect your style.
Consider incorporating period-appropriate decor to maintain the vintage charm of your camper. Small details, such as new cabinet knobs, updated switch plates, and coordinated accessories, can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of the space.
Maintaining Your Vintage Camper Furnishings and Fixtures:
Regular maintenance is key to preserving the beauty and functionality of your vintage camper’s furnishings and fixtures. Establish a routine cleaning schedule to keep surfaces free of dirt and grime.
Inspect furnishings and fixtures periodically for signs of wear and address any issues promptly to prevent further damage. Use protective covers for cushions and seating when the camper is not in use, and consider using dehumidifiers or moisture absorbers to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Proper maintenance will ensure that your vintage camper remains a comfortable and stylish retreat for years to come.
Conclusion:
Restoring the furnishings and fixtures in your vintage camper can transform it into a cozy and stylish retreat, perfect for adventures on the open road.
By carefully assessing the condition of each item, gathering the right tools and materials, and following systematic repair techniques, you can breathe new life into your mobile home.
