s2, ep10 third fav scene in the episode so far: of course it's rusty and orpheus too lel the oni-demon-spirit- thing has lead them to a motel. nothing much about it at first, and they're both a bit confused tbh but orpheus seems pleased (SUSPICIOUSLY please.. because he's gay)

He kept up his cheery attitude, even though the mental wounds of the races were still a bit fresh. It'd hurt to have been betrayed so aggressively and suddenly by one he'd assumed to be trustworthy. It's not exactly easy to forgive your oldest brother for hurting you in such a way...but he didn't put on any cold shoulder or anger at the moment, instead he shifted the subject to C.B.'s own well-being, it shocked him to hear that he'd been lonely lately. Surely their family had been visiting him while Rusty had been learning his new wheels? "Did Momma not come visit you much lately? Or Poppa? Or any of the others? I thought they was gonna stay with you while the workshop crew finished your repairs. That's what they told me at least."

The McCoys hadn't left the racing venue just yet due to the unfortunate events of the finale. Rusty had seen the aftermath of the crash and all at once had struggled to be angry with C.B., especially when it came to the fact that the poor caboose had been put in between two large and powerful engines right when they crashed...they'd all feared the worst for a while, so it was a delight to see C.B. in full functionality again. Though Rusty had still felt apprehension in dealing with the caboose, so he hadn't visited too often, and he'd stationed himself in one of the temporary sheds rather far from the works...perhaps visiting the shed what C.B. meant by "dropping by".

I want to make more posts about it either here or on a side blog due to the brain rot I keep getting from thinking about it constantly. For now, I’m gonna do my best here to explain the general gist of it all! It’s still a bit rough tbh so my apologies if it makes 0 sense whatsoever and if it’s really long (which it already looks like it will be LMAO). It’s all gonna be under the read more so people who aren’t interested can scroll past it easily!

OH and before I continue, I’m gonna briefly discuss where it takes place in the canon timelines. So for Vbros, it’s after the movie. For Postal, it’s basically after the events for Postal 4. And for Eltingville Club, it’s after “This fan…This Monster!” but before the epilogue. For EC, it’s like an au where the club doesn’t immediately separate after the events of the comic fire yet are the verge of breaking apart. The club are around the same age as the Venture twins. (One more thing: if you ask me about any specific year it takes place in, I can’t tell you nor do I care that much about it sorry BWUSBWH)

It’s basically two stories happening at the same time, in different locations:

Story A is centered around Postal/Venture Brothers. This one is pretty underdeveloped because I haven’t came up with any reasoning for why The Postal Dude would be in NYC, how he even encounters Dean in the first place, and how he even discovers that he is a Venture (aka Jonas is his actual father. Not in the clone way, but in the normal way, making him and Rusty and the Monarch half brothers). Honestly, I just wanted to explore that last idea more and see some fun uncle and nephew bonding and shenanigans happen.

Story B, on the other hand, is pretty developed and consistent. Considering I made the Eltingville/Venture Brothers crossover first before I got fixated on Postal as well. I made an entire (and somewhat outdated) outline but to summarize it quickly: Hank moves out to go live with his new uncle Monarch temporarily to become more independent from his father (and also he didn’t want to go back to New York City because of Sirena). Basically still recovering from what happened and trying to find his way. He’s able to get a job at newly opened comic store in Eltingville (since the last one….burned down) and he encounters the club. Hank, against everyone else’s advice of “Do not talk to them”, talks to them since they’re so happen to be talking about Batman which ends with Hank asking if he can join. He gets laughed at by them, who don’t believe he’s really a Venture since what the hell is a supposed rich/famous kid doing working minimum wage as a comic book employee and Bill emphasizes that “We only allow authentic fans to join the club.” To prove his worth, Hank is challenged to a trivia off. If he wins, he’s in the club (as an unofficial official member or an “intern” as Bill calls it). If he loses, he doesn’t get to join the club and has to give them some valuable collectables for free, which Hank could get fired for. He gets until the end of the week to prepare for it since Hank argues with them for extra time and they all agree, thinking he’s gonna lose anyway. However, with Gary’s assistance and some secret help from Jerry (who thinks having a new member could be beneficial for the club), he ends up winning and becoming a part of the club!

S2, EP10 I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD KILLS! sorry for the wait (again)! i got sad (again) lol. i really do enjoy posting my little episode comment-note finding things online, though. i try not to do it on my public twitter out of fear of being mistaken for another person who used to do something similar ee </3 negative internet interactions and dramas irritate me, especially if they're unnecessary and nothing burger in nature (ee </3) STILL! i like the formatting for posts on tumblr! a lot! and i also like the interactions i get on my posts, even if they are very few compared to what they could be! THAT BEING SAID! WE'RE BACK TO THE EPISODE! YAY!

we re-open with the boys! back at the motel and seemingly in (some sort of) ""crisis"".. at least on Dean's end. Hank is perfectly fine! he's not taking any of this seriously! why should he? they've both been faced with worse (Dean's just kind of a sissy, admittedly..) to be honest, Hank's more confused and amused (and very weirded out) - he's just going with the flow of things lol

Myra (my angel) tries to comfort and reassure them, claiming that things she says (her claims that she is their mother) are true - but it's communicated in a kind of "this doesn't help your case at all, you fucking whack job" way and she starts rhyming and babbling out nonsense again lol. "sort your feelings, boys! you know it to be true. so true.. funny, how it seems always in time but never in line for dreams.." tumblr poets would LOVE her

"oookay. we're losing her again-- (¬､¬ ;)" whatever, mr sassy pants -_- (sometimes you can really tell that the boys are rusty's children.. they have his bad attitude smh)

oh yeah, and here comes one of my least favorite bits ee <</3 honestly, i've never really liked the fact that sergeant hatred's entire gimmick (at least during the pre/earlier phases of his character) was that he was a pedophile/kiddie chaser. the confirmation that he's touched the boys is kind of even MORE ick. i don't know. maybe it's just me, but i really don't like how in some of the earlier seasons you can really see how some of these gags/jokes were really just.. kind of shit. maybe i'm biased (i have a one sided beef with the vbros creators for some of their.. ""short comings"", don't tell anyone), but i really do think a bit of "tender thought" should have gone into some things. i guess that's just the humor of the earlier phases of adult swim, however (some of that humor still lingers) sorry for being the friend that's too woke </3 i just love sergeant hatred and the boys, and the fact that dean appears to be so mortified in this scene (and hank's obvious dislike and discomfort of hatred later on) just hits me right in the feels. it's a bit too close to home </3 why couldn't they make him a standard creep, huh?? why couldn't they make him ANYTHING but a jailbait liker? whatever, not like i care too much about it. sgt hatred is still pookie. ANYWAYS,
