Wow what a race- I feel like I just watched 4 races in one!! I have so many thoughts (most importantly- DANIEL p5 woooo go baby go!!!- we’ll cover this later!!) but my main brainrot of tonight…..

POOR GEORGE 😭😭😭 (my heart goes out to him and also 🏉 anon) he’s gonna be so upset today after just having a terrible race!! And Lewis seemed pretty down about his race too :( I think both merc boys need some proper loving tonight, a nice bath at the air conditioned hotel room where you have your boys wash each other, both are sulking a little bit because they both think they’ve failed, both think they don’t deserve this kind energy you’re forcing upon them….

I think in this case you can get George and lewis to make each other feel better:- you can see that George is beating himself up about the race so you say to George “Georgie, Lewis also had a bad race today… do you think any less of him because of it?? Do you love him any less?” And George is frantic in replying no, of course he doesn’t, he loves Lewis wholeheartedly regardless of any result… you ask George if he thinks Lewis deserves to feel good tonight and George is just like yes!!! Of course!!!! And then you turn it on George and say “how you feel about Lewis is how we feel about you baby, we both love you so much no matter where you finish on the grid” and then something clicks for George and there might be a few tears but he gets it and finally allows himself to be comforted

Lewis might be a bit harder to convince because he’s more stuck in his head with how disappointed he is, but helping you to take care of George definitely helps takes his mind off things, makes him feel useful and loved… I think the sex that night is soft and sweet, both of your boys submit for you and let you control the scene- George gets lost in his pleasure whilst Lewis fucks him gently but he still manages to check that you and Lewis are having a good time because he’s just the goodest boy like that!!! Afterwards you have 2 very tired boys on your hands who needs lots of cuddles and a good nights sleep -🐬

Firstly, I informed 🏉 anon on discord and they are very pleased that they are known as the Russellad™️. But yes absolutely this is an amazing ask 🐬 anon you’ve done it again.

Honestly I think George might take some convincing to even come back with you? You and Lewis are all ready to go, and George is still just in the garage, looking over data again and again even though everyone else has already left.

Not only does George not want to go back with you and Lewis because he wants to look at even more data, but also because he doesn’t think he deserves it?

You don’t let that slide though. Absolutely not. George doesn’t get to decide if he deserves something, you do. He’s your sub.

You have to be a little harsh with him then, because you can’t leave it up to debate. He is coming back with you. He doesn’t have a say. He is.

So once you’ve literally ordered George to come back, he follows you to the car. He and Lewis don’t say a word on the drive back, both looking out their own windows.

When you get back to the hotel, you run them a cool bath, using some lavender bath oils and then call them over. You sit next to the bath and let them wash each other.

It’s only then that they start to feel a bit better. Lewis always feels better when he’s looking after someone. But especially George. Lewis will never admit it, but looking after George specifically never fails to make him feel so much better.

Once you see Lewis start to have a small smile, you move on to the next part of the plan.

The way your sweet Georgie immediately insists that lewis still deserves love and attention, despite the fact that he didn’t perform well, it just breaks your heart? Cause George is SO certain about it. He has no doubt whatsoever, but he can’t see it for himself?

I also think that hearing george insist on that is so good for Lewis? Lewis loves caring for George, all he wants is for Lewis to be safe and happy, and so to hear that George thinks Lewis still deserves love….. it goes such a long way.

When George understands what you’re trying to say, then of course there’ll be a few tears. But Lewis actually reacts quicker than you do? Before you can even lean over the side of the bath, Lewis has already shuffled forward and brought George into his arms.

“You’re so good,” Lewis mumbles against George’s skin, “so fucking good” and you know the words comfort lewis as much as they do george.

You know then that you have to let Lewis and George comfort each other. You’re there, of course, but you’re there to help them comfort each other. They need each other.

You just watch as Lewis fucks George slowly. Well, you watch for a little while until george starts to get overwhelmed. Then you move to sit next to George, hold his hand and kiss his neck, encourage him to look up at Lewis and thank Lewis for fucking him so well.

Once George is asleep, Lewis thanks you.

The instagram app icon has been my favorite by far for as long as I can remember apps being around.  Matter of fact, all other app icons are pretty forgettable for me outside of IG’s.  Well, Instagram recently rolled out a new look.  I am sure I will come around, but for now... a week and a half later I still cannot bring myself to upgrade the app on my phone.  I simply can’t let the old logo go yet.

This is a great video series put together by @Gatorade celebrating the career of Peyton Manning.  From an advertising perspective, what a great campaign by Gatorade.  But also what a fantastic celebration of a pro athlete that did it right and was able to retire from the sport without the drama and downfall that follows most of our sports legends lately.

Russell Westbrook’s True Religion Brand Spot Reps OKC

I would have thought this ad featuring the OKC Thunder’s Russell Westbrook was a local (to OKC) spot.  A very well produced spot at that.  However, it is for True Religion’s spring line, who is a national brand.  I would like to think Russell requested to pull some secondary architectural OKC icons into the mix.

Favorite Commercial of Super Bowl 2015: Clash of Clans "Revenge"

Better late posting this than never.  This years Super Bowl was the year of the PSA's in my opinion, both spoofs and some for real.  Now maybe I am bias because I am a Clash of Clans fan but I loved the Liam Neeson appearance in "Revenge" from Clash of Clans.

Super Bowl XLVIII - Breakdown of Interactive Links in Super Bowl Commercials

Each year I like to break down the strategies advertisers choose to use to bridge their audience from the TV to their web site, social media channel, or online conversation.

I did think that last year's 2013 Super Bowl with all its power outage drama would be hard to beat.  In the end I was right, this year was much more tame than last year's Super Bowl saga.

Below are some observations I took away from this year's Super Bowl advertising frenzy.

26+ commercials displayed twitter hashtags (ex. #NoContract) 14+ commercials displayed domain names (ex. BeatsMusic.com/ATT) 2+ commercials displayed social media links icons 2 Shazam badges (ex. Bud Lite & Jaguar) 1+ commercial displayed no links, hashtags, or social icons 1+ commercials displayed twitter account URLs 0 commercials displayed QR code on the screen (none since 2012) * My numbers may not be precise, I could have missed a ad or two.

I couldn't go through all this analysis and not at least put together my top 5 favorite commercials. So here goes.

Audi - The "Doverwawa" had me laughing five commercials after this Audi commercial was over. 

VW - Thought the idea of every 100k miles a VW turns over, and engineer in Germany gets their wings was funny and could live on for a while in VW lore.

TurboTax - I just loved the "Love Hurts" commercial. I thought they really took a otherwise boring brand and brought some life to it.

CarMax - The "Slow Clap" spot had me at Rudy. 

Ford Fusion - Had to respect the two spot approach and how the second spot with James Franco was twice as "awesome" as the first. 

Fun Fact: Steve Jobs is the father of the Super Bowl commercial.  He only ran his epic Apple commercial once and it was during the Super Bowl in 1984.

Old Spice does it again with "Mom Song"

Old Spice continues to trump themselves with awkwardly hilarious TV spots now targeting the teen audience using their mothers as fodder.  Keep em coming Old Spice.  I'm betting on you come Super Bowl season this year!

Ever Heard of WestJet? Well You Have Now!

The below video was posted by WestJet on 12/8 (four days ago) and immediately went viral. An amazingly clever idea to give all the passengers of one of their flights with a granted Christmas wish. This is a great example of a idea that cut through the clutter quickly during the busy Christmas season. Moreover, I bet they paid little to nothing for media placement only to get 12 million YouTube views in a matter of days. 

So my final question is this.  Had you ever heard about WestJet before this video? Do you know who they are now?

Kevin Durant Crushes it in Scullcandy Spot

Love the new 30 second Scullcandy spot with Kevin Durant advertising the Crusher. Maybe I am bias given my Kevin Durant fandom but I love the visual effect with a touch of KD's personality at the end.

Foot Locker - They had me at Craig Sager

Foot Locker really knocked this one out of the park.  Featuring Mike Tyson's ear biting issue, Dennis Rodman just being strange, Brett Favre's 2nd & 3rd coming to the NFL and oddly enough Craig Sager's off the chain fashion. Tell me I am not the only one that hopes Foot Locker continues on with a series of these great commercials!

Apple's Hits TV Gold!

Recently Apple has been releasing a hand full of spots consisting of b-roll montages of kids using iPads and hip people listening to iPod music. It’s all a bit forgettable for me. However in a recent spot Apple knocked it out of the park with liquid gold “Metal Mastered” animating into the new gold iPhone5s. Great music as well with perfectly provocative lyrics. That is the Apple I love!

When you can create tag-lines like "Treat every week like it's Shark Week" you know you are dabbling with advertising gold.  The Discovery channel has done it again with the "Snuffy the Seal" commercial.  Give it a view or two.

I have been a fan of the GEICO "Happier than..." campaign ever since the "Happier than a Witch in a Broom Factory" commercial came out.  However the new "Happier than a Camel on Wednesday" commercial is simply amazing.  Give it a view or two, so far it is up to about 4.5 million views.

Instagram Reveals Logo Update

Among other updates to their app recently, Instagram also announced an update to their logo on Friday, May 3rd.  It is more subtle, flatter and cleaner approach that is currently trending.  The designer Mackey Saturday posted about the Instagram logo update on Dribbble saying:

"I had the opportunity to work with the fantastic team at Instagram to create their new logo. It has been a long time coming, and I'm honored to share the result with you.

It was always essential that the design maintained everything that we've all grown to know and love about Instagram while creating a logotype that was more refined, durable, and that positioned the brand for expansion. Looking to the past to inspire the future, the script connects with the nostalgia that Instagram was built from, maintains the important character of the original typeface, and places the brand in a unique and prominent position both in the current and future landscape."

For me the jury is still out but will soon side with the new logo.  I think it did lose a bit of quirkiness, however I can compare this to when the twitter bird went on a diet and got skinnier.  Now it is a staple in our day to day iPhone usage and web surfing.

One things is still for sure.  Instagram still has the best app icon out there.
