Rush Hour Research

For my Rush Hour brief I am wanting to capture some parts of Glasgow during rush hour that have a great sense of urgency in amongst the people, but also show some parts of the city where people maybe have a more laid back attitude to getting to where they need to be in the morning. Perhaps include a contrast between the hustle and bustle of rush hour in the morning when people are heading off to work, against the rush hour when people are leaving work to go home and try and document if there is significant differences between the two rush hours.

I think I would like to put my photographs in black and white during post-editing to include significant contrast amongst the different objects and shapes that will be included in this busy time of the morning.

Spaces...

My mind is chaotic, noisy

Like Waterloo station rushour

Thoughts pushing and shoving

Little me, new me, arguing

My sanity fighting for survival

Immense cognitive fatigue

I need time, patience

The illusive luxury called space.

Space in my mind to feel

Space to be truthful

Choices to own, I tried.

Space with no responsibility

Would be heaven

Space to not equate loneliness

Quiet contemplation to think

Who am I? Where am I going?

There's space in my soul

Forever a void for a mother

For lost years gone forever

No option of second childhood.

A half century gone

Yet my soul feels young

My spirit tired but alight

A vitality never extinguished.

My heart remains full

Never space for another

A complicated love

He makes me laugh

I never tire of his prescence

Our paths crossed too late

I smile, imagine his face

The sadness when he leaves.

I desire space to love nature

Sit with wine by the sea

Magical space to erase my past

Space to accept me

For I am who I am

A survivor of trauma.

My journey paved with chaos

Gives little space for me.
