I’m Lexi, a kinesiology and special education grad student! I enjoy all things music history, mythology, tattoos, and motorcycles (was on a bike before I could walk lol). I’m a military brat so moved all over the country, born in Germany. I am a Taurus and born in the year of the bull, so extra stubborn. But, stubborn as in I’ll stand up for others more than myself. I would say I’m an introvert at first but then become very extroverted the more I get to know someone. I’m not sure I have a favorite movie because it changes so much. My favorite book is Slash’s autobiography 😅. My go to song when I need a pick me up is She’s a Rainbow by The Rolling Stones because it makes me walk with an extra bounce in my step. A skill I think I have is athletics, I’m able to pick up pretty easy on every sport and writing is something I dabble in! My favorite item of clothing I have is a Harley Davidson oversized jean jacket that was my dads in the 80s and I wear all the time now. I like salty things followed by sweet because you have to get the best of both. That’s why peanut butter and chocolate is my fave thing in the world. My ideal date would be something outside, like hiking or going to a lake, or something with an adrenaline rush like a theme park or even sky diving! I have small black dog named Apollo! One thing I love about myself is how inclusive I am and how I don’t take no for an answer regarding rights of others. There are pics of me on my blog, so I won’t bore you with one on here. Because: I think you would intimidate Jake a little and I think he would love it. And you would definitely meet his stubbornness with your own which I think he needs sometimes. He would absolutely take you hiking on a first date and have a picnic waiting for you once you reached your destination. I also think he’d love how inclusive you are. Peace, love, unity is the motto after all. And I can totally see you giving him a copy of Slash’s autobiography with a bunch of notes in it for his birthday. It would be his favorite thing ever, getting to read it from your point of view. He’d memorize all of your connotations as he read and reread it on tour just so you two could talk about it at length when he got home.

Scenario:

You were in a bad mood when you arrived at your house, you’d be the first to admit it

It had been a long day and with the semester drawing to an end, the stress of it all was really just beginning

But a familiar car sit in your driveway, you boyfriend’s car, and immediately your mood shifted

Despite the day you had had, you put on a happy face and pushed through the front door, only to find Jake setting down a heavy backpack on your living room floor, sunglasses and sunhat already donned

You questioned his appearance and the gear sitting on the floor

“We’re going on a hike!” he said, sauntering over to you and pulling the weight of school off your back

“Get ready.” He pressed a quick kiss to your cheek and returned to the backpack he had just been shoving an additional water bottle into

You quickly changed and threw your hair into a messy ponytail

Before you knew it, the two of you pulling into the parking lot next to your favorite hiking trail

He grabbed the backpack from his trunk and pulled it onto his shoulders

The two of you hiked for about an hour talking about everything and nothing at the same time

You stopped periodically to take pictures or enjoy just the view

“Almost there,” he said after a while

You had no idea where this mystery destination was but you followed without complaint

About 20 minutes later, you arrived to a small clearing that overlook dense forest

It was a breathtaking view; almost as breathtaking as the boy that had brought you to it

Jake pulled the backpack from his shoulders and set it on the ground, unzipping it and pulling out a blanket and a bottle of wine

In pure Jake-like fashion, he popped the cork and handed you the bottle to take a swig of

You laughed after taking a sip and handed it back to him, turning your gaze back to the view before you

He always knew how to help you destress

-jimin spent the days after that contemplating if you would actually date him or if you would go for someone else

-he'd be all pouty and would also be touchier than usual, bc he would this physical contact as some sort of reassurance, in a way

-you couldn't quite understand what was going on with him but you reciprocated in every scenario and he was very pleased with that

-when you guys would chill on a sofa and watch tv, he'd lay down and rest his head on your lap and wouldn't say anything and continue watching TV, but he'd still wait for your reaction and sigh happily when you started playing with his hair

-he'd do these little tests to gauge your reactions and to see how you act towards him

-he'd ask a lot about how you feel about relationships and respect and all that, he'd also test you... physically. and by that I mean the sensual hugs, light touches on your thigh and and the looks you'd share meanwhile... the first time you two had dinner with the guys in a restaurant with dim lights. when you felt his hand on your thigh, you looked at him with a raised brow and this lil shit deadass SMIRKED at you but you knew that 2 can play this game and smirked back and moved his hand slightly up and jimin's soul almost left his body. "what are we, y/n?" he whispered to you. "you tell me", you whispered back, with a cunning smile on your lips. you excused yourself and got up from the table and jimin jerked that moment, as you put your hand on his thigh when you lifted yourself up. (jk to nj: i don't know what is going on there but I bet it's disgusting, nj: no, don't be like that, sj: no, he's right)

-jimin and you (and everyone else, for that matter) entered a weird stage where you legit didn't know wtf was happening between you

-everything moved fast and yet you didnt know if you guys were going somewhere with this but jimin sure acted like your boyfriend yet didn't go beyond flirting

-and this was getting tiresome for you, but you were still hoping tbh, but you thought that maybe... maybe you were just a welcome distraction for him in all his hectic schedule. but deep down you knew this was your insecurities speaking, but sometimes it got the better of you.

-and things took an ugly turn when jimin tested you again, but in the most stupid way you could ever "test" someone... you've guessed it..... through jealousy.

- that was bc jimin himself got jealous when you were hanging out with yoongi, mostly bc he also remembered what yoongi once said about someone snatching you away from him

-and jimin absolutely hated this situation.... he knew this was irrational and that you could hang out with whomever you wanted & yoongi's obviously like a brother to him..... but jealousy is a very ugly feeling that makes you feel ugly things

-and jimin didn't want neither yoongi nor you to see this side of him so he didn't say anything. he didn't speak to neither of you. was it a good solution? hell no & he knew that. but he had to deal with his temper somehow... he cut you short whenever you tried to talk to him, saying he's busy and such, but you knew he was lying to you for some reason but you still were patient and did your best not to drag him to hell and back for lying to and ignoring you, as he stopped texting you as well. he didnt speak more than necessary with yoongi who only kept his mouth shut bc they was another matter involved. jimin had the idea for this "last test" for you when a new staff member got flirty with him, during a bighit party. you were there, too, in the same room, to be precise and jimin knew this and saw a chance coming, as you were talking to yoongi again who glared back at jimin who intensely kept staring at you two. so this new + drunk staff member came along and started talking with him.... and giggling so obnoxiously that yoongi and you rolled with your eyes at the same time and started laughing when you realized it. jimin wasn't listening to anything in the first place but when he saw you two laughing, he had a snap decision, turned to the staff member and coyly smiled and started flirting. you watched the whole play & jimin knew it, so he added some light touches and nudges here and there and you could feel getting more upset with every minute of this shit-show you were witnessing. yoongi put his hand on your arm and turned you away from jimin and his bimbo and face him instead. you could feel your blood rush to your head which was also apparent to yoongi who consoled you, as he knew of your feelings. jimin mistook the whole situation once again and went for the worst move.

you saw yoongi's glare and turned around only to see jimin holding his little plaything by the waist and them swaying around together. the other members noticed too and namjoon took the lead and quickly moved jimin away from dispatch's newest headline in the making. you turned to yoongi again and said "i'm going home, yoongi, thank you", with a sad smile on your face, and left before he could answer. yoongi quickly rushed out after you, knowing damn well that you'd go home and cry. he managed to catch up and pulled you into a hug, away from all the noise. "that boy is an idiot, but he's so in love with you, trust me on that. he's just being stupid right now", he said patted your back and lowkey contemplating dissing jimin in agust d 2, when he heard the muffled sniffs coming from you. "Ohhh, yoongi-hyung, y/n, getting cozy, aren't we?" you heard jimin saying behind you. yoongi was about to yell at him, but you were quicker to turn around and BLASTED him, bc how tf does he dare to say something like this after what he just pulled inside and how tf can he be so rude to yoongi and most importantly why tf would you listen to him after blatantly ignored you over the past weeks??? jimin went silent after your rant and let his head sink. "i'm sorry..." he said, "i'm sorry to both of you. i don't know how to explain it... but i felt angry when I saw you two so close. i know it's stupid and I know that you guys can be friends, obviously... it's so irrational and I don't even know why i did that earlier. i guess I wanted you to feel what I feel when I see you close with another man, y/n...". this voice got hoarse the more spoke and you knew that he too was about to cry. you knew he was regretful. it didn't justify that he was a dick to you, but you could see where he was coming from and understood that this feeling can make you do irrational things. "jealousy," yoongi said with a stern voice "is a really ugly trait, jimin. you should have known neither of us would ever go behind your back. for your information, y/n confided in me. your best friend is in love with you and you, dumbass, are too blind to see it. -(jimin's head shot up)- I'm gonna leave you two to it now, but jimin, I assure you I will kick your ass if you hurt y/n one more time." and he left. jimin looked at you apologetically, then hid his face behind his hands and took a deep sigh. "I really am a dumbass, huh..." - "yeah, you are" you replied with slight smile on your face and you took some steps towards him, he looked up at you. "y/n, I might be dumb and selfish, but I really hope that you can forgive me... one day. I was jealous of you two and I got insecure. I shouldn't have done what I've done and I can only apologise.... i'm really sorry about everything." (he let his head sink)

you were now standing right in front of him. "jimin, look at me." (he did.) "you really are a dumbass" (he got pouty) - "I thought we had already established that, y/n" - "getting smart with me, minie?" you asked and laughed when he looked at you with with huge eyes and a beaming face after he heard his pet name. he shook his head "I'm the dumbass, remember ?". You two laughed and you threw your arms around his neck and kissed his cheek while he buried his head in your neck.

L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?

It depends? I usually try to make both of us happy when it comes to requests, for example, if that person likes, say, HamaHaya but I feel like I want HamaKura I will ask them for HamaHaya anyways because 1. HAMAHAYA and 2. Maybe they will put more feel into the art!!! And what is most important of art is the feelings that it is put into it! Best art is the art you can tell the author put all their heart on~!

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

Um… Is it normal I want to say the MOTHER fandom on 2014? Especifically on DA. It was like a tiny family… Everyone knew each other. Everyone was nice with each other. It was so nice. But now everyone parted ways and I have no idea where everyone is. Most left DA (and so did I) and I can’t help but wonder where they are. But my current fandom is really nice too… It’s like a family, too… Sometimes.

Have you guys ever heard about ~LA FERIA~? It’s like this weird Spanish thing we have. Everyone dances and sings these lame guitar songs which are mostly like aAAAAaAAAaaaYYYYYYYY @loreprotectionsquad can confirm BUT! that’s not the interesting thing! The interesting thing about Feria is that we basically get a mini amusement park on our town, just because! 

So my brother and I thought about some Go kids there and it just…

Hamano gets Kurama a giant Snake plush and he tries to ride on a… Ride with it and it almost slips out but he clings to it and manages to save it. Hamano thinks it’s adorable. Kurama swears he’ll kill him if he tells someone. Hamano promised Hayami he’d get a plushie for him too, but he is unable (because you can only win one plush per day) so Hayami gets a dolphin plush for him. Imagine Hayami walking around with two overly joyful boyfriends clinging to their giant plushies. Goals.

Kirino and Shindou ride on the ferris wheel which they don’t set up anymore, but still. and Ibuki tries to climb it but fails (?

Shinsuke rides on some dinosaur themed train, and there’s clowns with balloons and stuff you can snatch from them. He gets a plastic axe. Which are super hard to get i need to tell you the story of how i got one when i was like 8. it was so stupid it’s funny He somehow convinces Tsurugi to ride too, while Tenma and Aoi look at them. They have become the ultime balloon snatchers. No one can stop them. Aoi and Tenma are so proud.

Taiyou comes, sees Tenma and waves at him, approaching him. Then all of the sudden, Fuyuka comes rushing after him, and tells Tenma that ‘Taiyou should be in right now, sorry for the inconvenience’ and picks him by the stomach (you know… like a kitten, with her arm around his torso? you get me, right?) while Taiyou tries to escape, but fails.

Kariya and Hikaru try to hide from Hiroto and Midorikawa, who have come with them, but Kariya wants some time alone, while they want to take pics of everything they do, basically.

Something about Yukimura and Fubuki was mentioned, along with Kishibe and Aphrodi, but I don’t remember ;v; Also, Amagi going with Mahoro and Yukie, and all of the third years (Minamisawa as well, for some reason) going together too.

My brother kinda dislikes Galaxy (except Tetsukado, Kusaka and Konoha) so I’ll do their stuff myself.

Minaho and Manabe compete to see who will get more plushies. They only get one keychain working together. They give it to the first team member that they see because they don’t know who should keep it.

But that was after the previously mentioned day, so the Second Year Trio got them plushies instead (they got the hang of one game and they WILL make the most of it. And, they have to help a boyfriend out, right?

So they spend the rest of the festivity together. And they have fun and stuff.

There’s one ride with horses. Konoha spends 98/100 there. Otherwise, she wouldn’t come. It’s so noisy, and crowded…

Kusaka comes and goes to check on her. He can’t ride on most… Rides (this is redundant) anyways. He’s too tall.

Tetsukado and Hamano competed to see who was better at Duck-Fishing. Let’s just say that Shinsuke and Hamano’s boyfriends came home with lots of plushes and prices…

Sakura aced all the games. How did she manage, no one knows (she was, in fact, the first one Minaho and Manabe offered the keychain to. But she rejected it and got two super sparkly keychains for them instead. Minaho and Manabe offered it anyways in exchange but she said that it was nothing and that they should keep the one they got.

Matatagi showed his brothers the place and rode on some rides (seriously how is this so redundant). Eventually they joined the Plushie Fest. Matatagi’s brothers cheered. He, not so much, not when he had to carry around giant plushies for the rest of the day, as his brothers were too busy exploring around.

I think that’s all??? Am I forgetting someone? except zanakurou but i don’t know what to do with him. he dances sevillanas. i don’t know. sorry darling

Oh, yeah, and there’s also this AU my brother and I made in which Kurama is a time traveler and quite literally Hamano and Hayami’s son (he has a big sister named Estrella but that’s for another time) and he has come because their parents were too slow too realize they had feelings for each other and he fears for his existence and his sister’s (???

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.

Can you believe I used to ship Min/////a/kura? But, to be honest, I didn’t know what that was. I just found some comic of them and I thought it was cute. Then I got more into InaEle, and well…

I’m saying that one because I can’t think of anything else XD

R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.

The Kurama multiship fest, which I will proceed to explain, even though the first one is sorta popular, but still:

Hamano and Hayami, because I saw HamaKura and I thought it was really cute! (when i got used to kurama, at first i didn’t like him but i found hamahayakura and i went ‘eeeeeeeehhh’ but you already know that story) then I thought of HamaHaya + HamaKura and Hayami just got into the package for some reason XD

Hikaru, because I was salty I didn’t ship him with Minamisawa and I wanted to ship him with someone but I didn’t know who, then he had a little scene with Hikaru on the games (when they go look for Shinsuke or something) and a lightbulb light up on my head

Tenma because, honestly, how can you have someone you ship with everyone but not Tenma? Plus it’s cute. 

Tsurugi because I saw somebody posting drawings of them and I went ‘hey they cute’ and that’s all. also the fandom team might or might not had something to do with it

Kariya because they had this scene when they went to China on CS that i don’t even remember but what i do remember is my brother asking me why i wasn’t saying anything about the ship, and i went ‘well, i don’t, BUUUUUUUUUT’ and so it started.

Minaho because, and listen well because this one is weird, I was in class, and I was bored, and I decided to make quadrants for some InaEle characters, I started by Minaho and went ‘huh so, Moirail, Manabe, Matesprit, Manabe, Kismesis, Manab-wait’ so I decided to crack it up a bit and now it was ‘Moirail, Hamano, Matesprit, Manabe’ but I wanted to give him a Kismesis (that could’ve been perfectly Matatagi, but I didn’t think of that because I’m dumb) (also read: a love rivalry more or less) so I gave him Kurama. THEN I played BigBang and they had a small interaction and since back then I couldn’t even read Hiragana I don’t know what they said but Kurama made a sad face afterwards so I take it as I was right

Fei because Kurama learns Bouncer Rabbit on Galaxy (actually the two-people version. He does it with Hamano because I’m obvious) and also Fei stole his number, now Kurama has to steal something back (???

Taiyou because on my CS game Kurama, Taiyou and Hikaru always do hissatsus together on the random thing (that makes also Sakura and Matatagi do Butterfly Dream together all the time for some reason. Which is funny because I lowkey shipped it before starting Galaxy) so I got used to seeing them together.

Ibuki because my brother always calls them losers (he’s a bit mean sometimes, but I love him ;v;) so I started relating them n stuff.

Hakuryuu because my brother and I have this thing called the ‘Spammer Club’ which is for characters that say other character’s name a lot. We have Hakuryuu (who we jokingly call churugispammer) Miyasaka, Ibuki, Hakuryuu and Kurama got in too for some reason. So yeah. It happened. N stuff.

Also I brotp him with Kinako, but I brotp Kinako with everyone.

S: What’s a headcanon you have?

Hmm… I headcanon that out of the Second Year Trio, only Hamano has siblings (2 sisters, him being the middle sib- and no that’s not me self projecting ok) 

Hayami has mentioned more than once on the games that he wants to be a scientist, and I headcanon that it’s because his mother is! Which also means she’s super busy most of the time. So Hayami is quite dependent, but he can’t cook for his life. Hamano is surprisingly okay at cooking, and he’s learning to bake.

Also, Hayami really likes penguins for some reason.

It was alright!! Kinda heavy though, went to counselling and realised some stuff like, I’m not happy where I am emotionally and physically but I feel stuck. Hey, there is no rush. You don’t have to come out and if you do, do it because you want to. Some people pressure people to come out and ‘not live a lie’, but that’s bullshit. Just because you’re not out, doesn’t mean you don’t feel comfortable with who you are. Some people don’t come out for a lot of reasons, whether for their own safety or whether they feel it’s just not necessary. Not everyone wants to come out, it’s their own business.

And exploration? Don’t feel like once you say you’re something, that’s it. I’m still unsure about a whole lot of things about my own identity. People can go through so many labels before things make sense. For me, aroace makes the closest amount of sense and my gender’s a whole other ballpark. These things don’t have to be a fixed thing, it doesn’t need to be rushed. You don’t have to put labels on if you don’t want to, but you can also put labels on to make sense of who you are and how you feel. Personally labels feel important to me and give a sense of control over how I feel, but it is entirely up to you. You shouldn’t be made to feel like a faker, made to feel afraid to see what works for you. Sometimes things don’t, and that’s okay.

Now Captain America, we've got the wraparound story being in the present, and despite being WWI in this movie it still makes Germany out to be the out and out bad guys instead of the grey morality that the actual War had. You've got an unbelievably diverse group of ragtag soldiers that serve as backup to our hero. Basically when Diana isn't on screen it's basically Captain America 1, even the ending, where a guy named Steve ends up destroying a plane he's flying and being presumed dead. (Although in this movie the death is real.) And the villain(s) are terrible. Ares is a secret villain (It's Lupin) the guy Diana thinks is Ares is basically protoHitler, and the poison girl doesn't actually do anything. Also Ares goes full Enchantress at the end, he has seemingly endless powers yet despite Diana consistently saying she won't follow him he never just kills her, and then she just kills him. He has maybe 5 full minutes of villain screen time. Jesus went where people were.

Eric Mason, talking about going on a BET panel and expecting hostility as a pastor but, after sharing about what Epiphany Fellowship is doing in the local North Philly community, having guests unexpectedly affirm and express thanks for the church’s work.

From the April 9 sermon, “Great Expectations for Kingdom Harvest”:

But God showed me something: People are hungry. Not for the Word. They’ve heard enough of that. The Word is important, now, so don’t hear me denouncing God’s Word. They’re hungry for the church to act. … Even before I got to my point on the panel, they were discussing only the church as a non-sociological entity that has the ability that they expect to make an impact. And so as I’m looking at this reality and at the hunger and different people coming up wanting to talk, this was interesting: after they heard what we were trying to do or doing, I could tell them anything I wanted about Jesus Christ.

I’m excited about our ministry, not because of the show, not because of an opportunity to get affirmation from a celebrity. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I believe we have a landmark opportunity where we are to do more impactful, in-depth, transformational ministry in our community. And I believe with all my heart that God has anointed us for such a time as this. I don’t believe he anointed Pastor Mason for such a time as this; I believe that he anointed us for such a time as this—which makes this passage sweet. This passage [Matthew 9:35–38], to me, needs to be heralded by the church on a regular basis.

Jesus is a bold one. I love him a lot because of the simplicity and complexities that he brings to the table. Jesus, like Sho Baraka says, “Maybe Both”—I love that song—because he talks about the fact of Jesus Christ’s complexity, and [how] people like the sort of hippie-activist on one end or the warrior on the other end. But the issue is he’s both. And here we see in his words and his acts that he’s both. That brings me to my first point.

If you’re gonna have great expectations for kingdom impact, number one, you’ve gotta recognize that Jesus went where people were. Jesus went. This is gonna be embarrassingly simple: Jesus went where people were. The Bible says that Jesus continued going around all the towns and villages.

Stop right there. Know what’s mind-boggling about this passage to me? Jesus of course couldn’t afford a donkey. They didn’t have the sub and the L back then. They didn’t have Uber and Lyft. They had sandals and corns. Bunions too. God walked. Just meditate on the fact that the one who had verbal transportation technology, where he could have literally spoken them into different locations and made an entrance just by Jesus saying, “Capernaum,” and the disciples and him just disappear. “Capernaum.” “Nazareth.” But he didn’t. He wanted to take the slow walk to see and to pass real people. In other words, he didn’t rush to his locations. He went to these locations, he went through these places so he could lay his eyes on people.

It’s very difficult for me through social media how people can talk so passively about things that they’ve never been on the ground to see. I wonder how many of us would just be changed if we talked to an actual single mom versus posting a blog about a single mom. (Help me today.) What if we heard why this guy has four different baby mommas and heard his story? What if we heard about how someone is living in an abandoned brownstone in the basement, in the corner and stealing cable and electricity from next door to survive? And we look down on people, but it’s hard when you don’t walk the cement and the pavement to walk and experience and look at.

And what I love about the Lord is he doesn’t exempt himself from interacting with actual people. In other words, he’s not going in there for a selfie to post online how beautiful the city is and how broken the city is and “Let’s post a pic of this” and “Lemme take a selfie with the broken”—no. He was around there to make sure that he was on the ground to smell them. To touch them. And to encourage them. That’s what I want us to be. And I don’t want us to be a driving-in church. If you’ve never walked this block and you’re a part of this church, you’re missing out. If you’ve never walked and talked and met an actual person and heard their story, see, you can’t have a heart for missions until you experience the need. Let me say that again. Until you experience the need firsthand, you can’t have a heart for what you haven’t seen, what you heard in church, what you haven’t felt with your own hand. Jesus went into cities and towns around actual people. Our Christianity must not be an online Christianity. Because you can create a page that make it look like you’re pretty up to some stuff. But some of your best work is, when you do something that is so deep and rich in somebody’s life that, to post it would demean the experience. (Somebody gonna get that on the way home. You don’t know it yet but that was good preaching.)

And what we have to begin to do, is we have to want the “Well done” from Heaven based on actual stuff. I don’t care what type of ministry you’re doing if you’re not touching actual people, if you’re not ministering to actual youth, if you’re not touching actual young ladies, if you’re not ministering to actual single moms, if you’re not engaging actual college students, actual men—you are not doing ministry. I don’t care what you’re writing, I don’t care what you’re blogging about, I don’t care what your plan is. You and I have to touch actual people.

I gotta move.

Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

AR Update!

For the last month or so I’ve been putting together a small preview book of Armadillo Run. It’s got the first 5 pages, a synopsis and two pin ups by the awesome artists Joe Mulvey and Natasha Alterici. 

However, in my rush to get it together and sent to printing - I selected the sketch file for Natasha’s piece, not the final one below. It’s a bummer, but at least it wasn’t a selfie or a cat pic, ya know? 

All is not lost, these pieces will be used again for something some day - they’re too dope not to. 

Anyways, the Armadillo Run preview books are ready for their trip to ECCC where i’ll be sharing them with friends, creators and hopefully editors. I’m eager to introduce the world of comics to my comic. We’ll just have to see how it goes.

And this is Joe Mulvey’s piece - It’s Thorn, who was once a brilliant scientist but was forced to bite a gene leech which turned him into a plant monster! He’s Billie’s only ally, but can he be trusted?
