I read Bleach in the end and may I say that I much preferred the first half to the second one. A couple of reasons...

1. Ichigo just seemed to be getting power-ups after power-ups.

2. Fullbringer Arc didn’t really bring anything to the plot itself other than to introduce Yukio and the girl (Ruruki?) so they can sneak into Soul King’s palace and Tsukishima so he can repair Zangetsu only for it to break again.

3. The Quincy in general. They didn’t make sense. I mean that they were written there like they were different species instead of different race. Like they were sharks that were eliminated by dolphins instead of one type of dolphin fighting another. Especially when they went on about Masaki being pureblooded Quincy like they were aliens or something and mixing with normal humans was bad.

4. Ichigo’s backstory. While I think Masaki was great and it was brilliant to know how he came to be, I would’ve preferred that Ichigo hadn’t inherited her powers.

5. Old Man Zangetsu being the Quincy power. Just no. It just messes up with the First Act.

6. The motives of the Quincy and the seriously OP main-villain that required some hack-Quincy silver-blood-arrow to be defeated. And other ridiculously strong villains that seemed to be defeated only by luck.

7. People just kept dying... And then they weren’t dead. While okay I loved that my favourites were alive for the epilogue it still seemed to defeat purpose. On the other hand... Toshiro in Quincy outfit post-zombifying. Yum.

Maybe this is enough for now... I liked the series and the second arc nicely re-introduced characters and gave more info in general about Soul Society but frankly the world makes more sense without it.
