Willing to be healed?

My morning journal entry today.

A revelation that I got this morning that really spoke about my heart condition is "Do you want to be healed?" The passage of the leper coming to Jesus (Matthew 8) and asking if Jesus was willing to heal him and Jesus saying that He was came to mind today. 

What I got from this was reversal of the question in that the problem is not if God is willing but rather are we willing or desire to be healed as much as Jesus wants to? 

Our immediate reaction would be of course but lets think about the implications here. For God to truly heal our whole condition would mean that He would restore us to our pre-fallen +1 state (Genesis 1 &2); a state in which we were in submission to the Lord in a rightful intimate relationship. 

The emphasis is not the healing itself but the life afterwards, the healing in its truest form is only a means to an end. The question I was asked this morning was, "Are you willing to be healed?"
