He's finished! It was pretty difficult working with some of the stuff like the teeth and hands on such a small scale but I think this little #rumplebuttercup turned out pretty cute. I'll be gifting him to @gublergram tomorrow at his book signing, so I hope he likes it! I should probably include a note mentioning not to get this little guy wet or the colors might come off... I've never really used pastels to shade/color felt and then under the eyes is actually a watercolor pencil because it's such a small area. Also I used what fabric I had on hand so all of the white and yellow is fleece while the green is all felt. So quick story... I decided to last minute go to the meet and greet in Jersey on the 3rd. I showed up and Matthew recognized me from the meet and greet from the day before! He complimented me and PICKED ME UP AND SPUN ME AROUND. It was fine, I was in the arms of the love of my life as he spun me around.... I’m fine. It’s fine. I was telling my aunt (who drove me) that my dream was to get an awkward prom pose photo with him and that was what I was going to ask him to do with me, but then I found out we could only take one photo at this event. So I settled for a photo of us hugging, but then Matthew goes, “I promised I’d take a prom photo with someone, so can that be you?!” I LEGITIMATELY FREAKED OUT, because he knew. So we got two Prom style photos as well as this one of our cheeks smooshed together. Thank you Matthew for writing a book that celebrates being weird and authentically yourself. You are such an inspiration to me. I hope one day I’m the special lady you choose to give that metal screw that was in your knee for 7 months to. Love you GUUUUUBS!!
