Lanjutan Bentuk Terima Kasih Dari Rumi Lewat Single ‘Di 24 Awal’

Dalam tahun ini memang para musisi terutama solois saling berlomba menampilkan karya-karya terbarunya, salah satunya adalah Dwi Pramono sang vokalis dari band Pop asal Surabaya yakni Sinleto yang melabelkan dirinya sebagai Rumi ini kembali merilis single keduanya bernama “Di 24 Awal”. Single barunya ini bercerita tentang lanjutan dari debut single solonya Say You Love Me yang masih mempunyai garis besar akan bentuk terima kasih dari Dwi untuk semua rekan terdekatnya. Tidak terkecuali pula adanya pertanyaan dan ungkapan kepada Dwi selama masa ia beranjak menjadi musisi dari awal hingga sekarang.

Dengan hanya menampilkan dua instrumental saja, disini Dwi yang notabene seorang vokalis dan bermain keyboard dibantu oleh Akbar Nohanda sebagai pemetik gitar. Proses recording di Dhisu Studio ini dikerjakan tanpa re-take, memang terdengar sederhana namun suatu kebanggaan tersendiri karena sesi recording adalah dimana kalian benar-benar bisa mengatur mood terbaikmu hingga mempunyai hasil maksimal. Di 24 Awal, disajikan dengan video lirik yang menghadirkan penggalan footage pesona alam kian natural diambil hanya melalui smartphone kemudian dieksekusi dengan sedikit pemanis di bagian grading warna.

Made in Fukushima

A book made of rice straw harvested from decontaminated fields. Book Design for METER Group including editorial design, data visualization and infographics.

Introduction When a tsunami hit the Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant on March 11th in 2011 and led to a nuclear meltdown, the entire world watched in a state of shock. As a result of the catastrophe, more than 25,000 hectares of farmland were contaminated. The ongoing official decontamination process removes the fertile yet contaminated topsoil. This produces huge amounts of radioactive waste and makes farming impossible — another devastating blow to the region.

Challenge A team of environmental scientists has developed a sustainable decontamination method that preserves fertile soil. It reduces the amount of radioactive waste by 95% and enables farmers to grow perfectly safe rice again. However, although the rice passes strict tests, consumers are unwilling to buy it – because stigma outweighs scientific truth.

Approach In an effort to sow understanding among consumers, Moby Digg turned science into something tangible. Alongside paper manufacturers from Fukushima and Gmund Papier, the Moby Digg digital design agency developed a comprehensive book design concept for Meter Group that incorporates the paper made of rice straw from the decontaminated fields.

Outcome The Moby Digg design team used this paper to print a book that tells the story of the decontamination, the farmers and their products  — using photography, interviews, background information and data visualization. The infographics are based on scientific data. Using code, Moby Digg transformed this data into easy to understand and compelling output.

Kegelisahan Sisi Melankolis Rumi Lewat Debut Single 'Say You Love Me'

Rumi, sebuah project solo dari Dwi Pramono, yang juga vokalis band Pop dari Surabaya yakni Sinleto. Bisa dibilang inilah project ego Dwi Pramono untuk menampilkan sisi lain pribadinya dalam hal bermusik. Masih bermain di ranah musik Pop namun berbeda dengan bandnya Sinleto, disini lebih memperlihatkan sisi melankolisnya secara lugas. Nama Rumi diambil dari penyair favorit dari Dwi yang kemudian terlihat sangat cocok bisa mewakilinya untuk sebuah nama panggung.

Say You Love Me baru saja dirilis dalam format visual ataupun digital, dan inilah sekaligus menjadi debut single Rumi. Mengkisahkan tentang seseorang yang belum bisa jujur kepada dirinya sendiri mengenai hal baik atau buruknya duniawi. Banyak melewati masa terombang-ambing ditengah kegelisahan akan pilihannya sendiri yang pada akhirnya hanya dibutuhkan adalah dikelilingi orang-orang yang mencintai dia.

Proses dibalik layar progres single ini terbilang cukup singkat, dari proses pengerjaan singlenya juga sangat sederhana dengan menggunakan dua instrumen saja yakni keyboard dan gitar yang dikerjakan oleh Dwi sendiri. Hanya dengan waktu sehari saja tanpa retake, single ini berhasil diselesaikan di Rezroll Studio. Influence terbesar Rumi banyak mengadaptasi karya-karya dari Simply Red dan Josh Rose.

Tampilan visual Say You Love Me juga dikemas secara sederhana dengan adanya dua sepasang kekasih sejenak berbagi kebahagiaan sambil bersepeda menikmati jalanan, dan muncul juga sosok Rumi menghampiri dan membawakan bunga untuk sepasang kekasih tersebut. Rumi atau Dwi Pramono banyak berharap bahwa single ini bisa diterima di segala penikmat musik lokal.
