Rules

“The rights and needs of teachers and learners are best met when both teacher and learner clearly communicate their expectations to each other” (Bates, 2016, p. 152). There has to be classroom rules and expectations posted somewhere in the classroom where both the students and teacher can see, this way everyone knows what’s expected and so there’s no confusion.

Though I despise classrooms where the desks are all facing the front of the room, or they’re in groups of four (still facing the front), I have to accept that that’s how most classrooms are (it’s an incredibly dull and uniform way to have classrooms but, such is life). So, until I can come up with a fun way to set up my classroom, that’s how it’s going to be (unfortunately) and I’ll post the classroom rules at the front where everyone can see them.

I wish that there wasn’t a need for rules, that everyone just knew what to do, but there is. We need to remind the students, especially the younger ones, how they’re supposed to act in a classroom, and as a decent human being, because if you look at a lot of classroom rules, they’re similar;

Be kind, be respectful, follow directions, keep hands and feet to yourself, listen to others, be positive and so on.

These rules are good for the students to have because they’re an important aspect of a classroom. Classroom rules not only teach students what their actions mean but also the consequences to their actions. It also teaches discipline and order within the the classroom itself.

Allright,, So! Some people (*cough* my husband *cough*) have accused me of owning “too many clothes.” My usual response to that accusation is, “but I wear all of them.” Ok. Honestly, I say this knowing that it is a lie, but it brings up an interesting idea.  What if I were to wear all of them?  Yes! I am challenging myself to wear every item in my closet. At least one outfit/item per day. This will give me the opportunity to decide what is actually worth keeping and what must go bye-bye. Plus, I might improve on my photo skills, since I will be taking a photo per day as proof of my attire. #iguessimstartingafashionblog rulesRulesRULES! I will post photos with as much information as I can remember  (where I got the clothes, descriptions, brands, etc.). I will physically tag clothes that I have not worn and untag them as they are worn, as to cut down on repeats (see photo above for example).

All outfits are subject to weather or other circumstances. For instance,  if it’s cold outside,  I doubt I’ll be wearing shorts or a sundress. Likewise, if I go to a wedding,  I probably won’t be wearing jeans and a band tee.

My closet is also ordered by color,  so you may notice me wearing the same colors a few days in a row. Note that I also have some costume items in my closet. I do a lot of events that allow me to dress up, so I’m pretty certain that I will get around to wearing these items as well, but it’s not a guarantee.

Since the goal of this challenge is to keep some clothes and get rid of unused clothes, I will be posting unwanted clothes here:

I've noticed...

There are some games where I am all for breaking the rules and it's still really fun... But there are times when I observe people playing a game and totally disregarding the rules and it drives me crazy.
