I want to give a HUGE thank you to @karleksmumskladdkaka for acquiring all of these rare CDs and sharing the audio with me for translation (づ>/////<)づ♡ This tokuten was hilarious and the bits where Ruki is trying to catch the Golden Bunny is just... his tactics might not have worked on the bunny (my own pet bunny would be equally unfazed) but I would've jumped straight into his arms. 00:00 Kino: And… I’ve cleared it! Ah, I’ve gotten tired of this game too… I should look for a new one to play.

[Kino searches the app store.]

K: Hm? What’s this? Huh? An app based on a board game? I’m not really into board games, but it’s been newly released, so I should download it just to check it out. Alright! It’s finished downloading. I’m gonna start it right away.

[Kino boots up the game.]

K: Oh! What an interesting opening to the game.

[The world starts swirling around Kino.]

K: Huh? What’s happening?! Why did such a strong wind start blowing all of a sudden? My body is being pulled into my smartphone by an incredibly powerful force. Ah… I can’t hold on… Ah!

[Kino disappears into his smartphone.] 01:13 [The scene shifts to Ruki reading in his room in the Mukami mansion.]

Ruki: Ah… 

[There’s a knock on the door.]

R: Azusa? What’s up?

Azusa: How did you know… it was me?

R: Because Kou and Yuma are both out today. You’re the only one here.

A: Ah… I see. Hey, Ruki. I’m sorry for… interrupting your reading, but…

R: What’s wrong? Is that a smartphone in your hand?

A: Yeah, it is… Kou told me to check out a smartphone game earlier… This game… was released recently… I thought we could play it, but… I don’t know… how to start the app…

R: I see. So that’s what you came to ask.

A: Yeah. Kou isn’t here either, so… Do you… know how to do it, Ruki?

R: Of course. I know that much. Give me the smartphone. So you just want me to download the game that’s on the screen right now?

A: Yeah, I think so…

[Ruki downloads the game.]

R: Hm. This should do it. It downloaded successfully. Now you just have to tap this button to start the game.

A: I got it. So I should tap here… right? Like this…

[Azusa boots up the app and the world starts swirling around him.]

A: Huh? What’s with… this strong wind? Is this… part of the game? Ah… 

R: No, that can’t be it… What’s going on? It’s like I’m being sucked into the smartphone…!

A: It’s happening to me too… Ah!

[Azusa disappears into the smartphone.]

R: Hey, Azusa…! …Shit!

[Ruki disappears along with him.]

03:55 K: Ugh… Ow… That really caught me off-guard. Hey… How long was I out? And where am I? It’s so dark that I can barely see what’s around me. Huh? There’s someone else on the ground, though. There’s two of them… Mukami Ruki and Azusa? Why are they here too?

[Kino tries to shake the Mukami brothers awake.]

K: Come on, wake up, you two. Hey, I’m telling you to wake up, damn it!

[Ruki stirs to life.]

R: Ugh…

K: Damn, you’re slow. Are you finally awake? And how about your brother?

R: Hey, Azusa. Wake up. Open your eyes.

[Azusa stirs to life as well.]

A: Ugh… Where are we? And why is… Kino here?

[Azusa sits up.]

R: Hey, Kino. Where are we?

And why are we here?

K: I don’t know either. When I woke up, I just kinda found myself here.

A: Earlier, we were… trying to play a game, though… What were you doing… before you got here, Kino…?

K: Me? I was just trying to play a game, but I was suddenly sucked into my smartphone. Before I knew it, I found myself in this strange place.

A: I see… So we were doing the exact same thing… The game you were trying to play… was it a… ‘game-of-life’ kind of game?

K: Oh, yes, that was it! You had to spin a roulette wheel. It was kinda like sugoroku (1).

R: I see… So that means that new game is likely the cause of all this. Besides, I’ve been wondering about that thing over there. Look.

A: Oh…? A gigantic… roulette wheel?

[Kino walks over to the roulette wheel.]

K: Oh! Look, look! If you look closely, there are squares (2) on the ground. 

R: Judging from those square spaces, we really do seem to be inside that game. I don’t know what caused all of this, exactly, but that seems to be the most likely explanation. Anyway, let’s stay put until we know more.

07:10 [Kino is already spinning the roulette wheel.]

K: Huh? D’ya say something?

R: Hey…! Why did you spin that wheel?

K: Why? Because I felt like it, of course.

R: I just told you to stay put!

K: Oh, it’s alright! You’ll overexert yourself if you get pissed off at me for such small things.

R: If that’s what you think, aren’t you better off not doing those things? Don’t put this on me!

A: You two… now’s not the time to fight…

[A countdown signal goes off.]

K: What’s that sound?

A: It sounds like… something has started.

R: Be careful. It sounds like something’s coming towards us.

[A very large spider comes towards the boys.]

K: Ah! What’s up with that giant spider?! It’s gross!

A: It’s huge…

R: Damn… We’ve been hauled into this unknown place and now we’re being attacked by a gigantic spider? These are some strange things happening… Kino. This is your fault. You take down the spider.

K: What? Why me? Get off your high horse and stop ordering me around. I’m not your little brother.

R: We’re in this situation because you were careless enough to spin that roulette wheel. This is your responsibility, so you should do something about it…

[Ruki and Kino’s bickering fades to the background as Azusa tries to appeal to the spider.]

A: Those two…

[The spider roars.]

R: [In the background] So, that means that you’re under my watch now.

A: [To the spider] I’m sorry… They ended up ignoring you.

K: [In the background] Ha, I get it! You’re just a little weakling, then! That’s why you always order people around!

A: [To the spider] They just kind of… started bickering, and… 

R: [In the background] Heh! 

[The spider roars again.]

A: What should I do…? What can I even do…?

[Azusa walks around.]

A: Ah! 

09:00R: Speak for yourself! You’re looking for excuses because you’re actually not confident that you can defeat that spider!

K: What? D’you think you can just make fun of me?

[The spider roars again.]

K: [To the spider] Hey, shut the fuck up! Take this!

[Kino attacks the spider.]

R: You should stay quiet while people are talking. Good grief, you have no manners.

[Ruki attacks the spider, killing it. Ruki walks over to it.]

R: Finally, you’ve gone quiet.

A: Ah… so you’ve defeated the spider.

R: Yeah, well, this clearly isn’t a place for leisuring. We should look around for clues so we can get out of here as fast as possible.

A: Ah, about that… Look at this. The spot that the roulette wheel landed on… it reads… “a large volume of spiders will show up,” “dispose of them rather than complaining”...

K: A large volume of spiders? So that’s what that spider was just now?

R: I see. So in this realm, whatever is written on the spaces will become reality.

K: Wow, that’s cool! So that means we’re playing a sort of sensory experience game here?

A: What’s written on the spaces… will actually materialise… But this space… doesn’t say anything about one gigantic spider… But we haven’t seen more spiders, either…

K: Aren’t they just talking about bugs? It’s a common occurrence in newly released games. And we’re inside the game right now, so that could explain it.

R: I see. Whatever the case, we should not stick around much longer. We’re getting out of here. Now.

11:05 A: But… how?

R: I have an idea.

K: Well, it doesn’t take a genius to come up with an escape plan. If we’re inside a game, we’ll just have to end the game, won’t we?

A: So, that means…

K: Yep, we just have to clear the game.

R: However, whatever is written on the square spaces seems to actually occur inside this game. Clearing it is not going to be easy.

A: Ah… actually, when you two were fighting earlier… I found something. Look. Come over here.

[Azusa leads them to a different spot.]

A: Look at this space. 

K: Huh? What’s this?

R: It says “Find the Golden Bunny for good luck. You may proceed to the goal immediately.”

K: Well, then, we can clear the game if we find that Golden Bunny, right?

R: I suppose so. Well done, Azusa.

A: Yeah.

R: However, I don’t think we’ll be able to find that bunny so easily…

[Lo and behold, a bunny hops by.]

K: Huh? Was that…?

R: The Golden… Bunny.

[The Golden Bunny happily hops away.]

K: Oh! Stop standing around. Let’s catch it! Come on, you two!

A: Ah… alright.

R: Kino, let’s work together. I’ll lend you a hand this time so we can get out of here.

K: Heh, get off your high horse. But, well, alright. I’ll join forces with you to escape this place. Don’t stand in my way, though.

A: Yes! Let’s all work together, then.

R: Great. We’re going after that bunny!

[The three run after the bunny.]

13:15 A: Haa… haa… Yes! We’ve caught up with it! Hehe. [To the bunny] Hey… you look… pretty tasty. Come on… don’t be scared. I’ll do you a favour… and catch you!

[Azusa tries to catch the bunny but it gets away and Azusa falls.]

A: Oh. Ow…

K: Jeez, don’t just try to grab it like that! Cornering it will only scare it away. You’ll never catch the bunny that way!

A: Sorry… Ah, Ruki… It’s coming your way!

[The bunny hops over to Ruki. Ruki and the bunny have a staredown.]

R: Well. Hey, you! Bunny. Come here. I’ll be nice to you. Now, jump into my arms! 

[The bunny—unlike the translator—is unfazed by Ruki’s tactics and it runs off.]

R: That’s strange… Why didn’t it jump into my arms?

K: What?! Did you seriously expect that to work? Oh, the two of you are completely useless.

R: Hey, Kino! It’s heading your way! Don’t waste this chance. Catch it!

K: What? It’s easy for you to order me around! Did you forget your own failure so easily? This pisses me off. I might be stubborn, but I’m going to fucking catch you!

[The bunny hops by Kino.]

K: Take this!

[Kino throws himself on top of the bunny. Ruki and Azusa run over to him.]

A: Kino!

R: Kino! Hey, did you catch it?

[Kino holds up the bunny.]

K: I did it… I caught it! I did it!

A: What a relief… Now we’ll be able to go home… We were able to catch it… because we all worked together.

R: Yeah, we did. It’s not so bad to help each other out.

K: Whoa, now. It’s thanks to my efforts that we’ve got the bunny. The two of you didn’t even do anything. Stop that sappy talk.

15:18A: This bunny… is pretty docile… and fluffy… 

K: It really is. It’s pretty cute with its little twitching nose.

A: Yeah… how cute. Hey, Ruki. Can’t we keep a bunny at home?

R: That’s not a good idea. I’d be the one constantly looking after it in the end.

A: It’s okay. I’ll take good care of it. So… please, Ruki?

K: Do you two always have such dull conversations? A Golden Bunny, though… They’re pretty rare. It would be nice if there were more of them.

[Something starts rumbling in the distance.]

A: Hey… Do you guys… hear something?

[An army of bunnies appears and heads for the boys.]

K: Are those… Why is there a horde of Golden Bunnies?! And why are they all coming our way?

R: Kino, you fool… Because of your careless remark—

K: Ah! Did I do that?!

A: Is this… also a bug? Hehe. There are so many bunnies…

K: Why do you look so happy about it? This is bad!

A: [In the background] Hehe… So many…

K: Agh! I can’t—The bunnies are trampling over me—

R: Fuck! How did it come to—Agh!

[The boys are buried under all the bunnies.]

17:11[Kino shoots upright in his bed.]

K: Ah! I thought I was going to suffocate. But… Huh? I’m in my own bed. Does that mean that wave of bunnies was… only a dream? Well… Of course it was. I wonder why those Mukami brothers were in my dream, though. It felt awfully real. Hmm…

[Ruki and Azusa also wake up in cold sweat.]

R: Ah… The bunnies?! They’re gone…

A: We’re in… your room, Ruki.

R: Apparently, we just fell asleep in my room somehow…

A: Yeah, but… I had a… strange dream.

R: Me too. A bad dream. I saw a giant spider and gold-coloured bunnies. It all sounds like a wicked joke, I’m sure.

A: Same for me… I also saw golden bunnies… Come to think of it… For some reason, Kino was also there…

R: I see. So you saw him too, Azusa… It seems a little too strange to be a coincidence for the two of us to have the same dream.

A: It does… But it was a really strange dream…

R: It was. It felt strangely realistic, too, but it was only a dream, after all.

A: So the giant spider… appeared in your dream too…

R: It did. It was a pretty rude one, at that, because it kept trying to interrupt our conversation.

A: Yeah… but, Ruki…

双六（すごろく）: Sugoroku is a Japanese board game kind of similar to backgammon and snakes and ladders, where you have to move all of your pieces to the other side of the board as quickly as you can. Sugoroku often incorporates elements from real life—like religion, politics, etc.—into this ‘race’ for storytelling purposes and more exciting play. You could liken it to the Game of Life too, in my opinion.

I know it's a tag game but I have no one I talk to on here regularly enough to even be tagged in any fun stuff 😅 So I did it anyway lol

Diabolik Lovers Tag

1.- Who would you rather take to a night club, Carla or Azusa?

Hmmmm night clubs aren't my thing so its hard to say ... But I think I'll go with Azusa as I feel like he'd eventually start to have fun even if just a little bit.

2.- In a Science test would you copy Yuma’s test or Ayato’s test?

Yuma’s. While he may not be book smart like Ruki or Reiji, he's not totally ignorant to the world of science as gardening/farming requires a good deal of knowledge in that category so I feel like he'd be a better bet.

3.- Would you rather have Kino and Azusa or Shin and Laito, as your Butlers?

Shin and Laito. Shin because I'm biased AF since he's my 2nd fav boy and Laito seems like he'd be fun as a butler. I can see him getting into so many shenanigans 😆

4.- Go on a date with Reiji at an Aquarium or go on a date with Subaru at a Cafe instead?

Both sound lovely, but I'll take the aquarium date with Reiji. I love aquariums and Reiji is my favorite out of all the boys, so for me personally that's a date made in heaven 🥰

5.- Would you rather go support/see Kou at one of his Concerts or go support/see Shu at one of his Violin Performances?

Oooh another tough one. Normally I'd say Kou because I'm super curious to see how he acts as an idol on stage, buuuuut I don't do well at concerts because I have POTS and the loud environment coupled with standing for long periods of time can make me ill very quickly. So I think I'll have to go with Shu since it sounds more laid back and easy to sit through. I do love violin so I can't complain :)

6.- In a Math Project would you team up with Ruki and Shin or with Reiji and Yuma? Who would fight less with eachother?

Reiji and Yuma. Like I mentioned before with the science question, Yuma shouldn't be the worst with Math either considering he'd have to plan out his garden plots and the spacing between rows of crops which would require a lot of math to figure out. Would they fight a lot? Yeah probably but I see Yuma being more willing to work with Reiji vs Shin working with Ruki. I feel like Shin would get pissed real fast at Ruki's snarky attitude 😅

7.- Who would you put your bets on, Kanato eating the most chocolates or Ayato eating the most Takoyakis?

Both are very possible lmao but I'll put my bets on Kanato. Do not underestimate the sugar gremlin.

8.- Sleep in Carla’s room, Subaru’s room or in Shu’s room? (You have the room to yourself, they aren’t there) Would you peak on their stuff?

Shu's room. That man does nothing but sleep, you can't tell me he doesn't have the finest bed and bedding available. I bet sleeping in his bed would be like sleeping on clouds ✨️

9.- You’re a princess of the Victorian era! Your father has ordered that you have a bodyguard.. who would you choose as your personal bodyguard, Laito or Kou?

Kou, easily.

10.- Would you prefer to have Kino in his bat form as your pet or Shin in his wolf form as your pet instead?

Shin! Floofy wolf 🥰

11.- Break a fight between Kou and Ayato or between Laito and Kanato?

I'll go with Kou and Ayato. I feel like Kanato would be rather ... stabby if angered enough. I want no part of that.

12.- Who would you kiss on the cheek, who would you kiss on the forehead and who would you kiss on the eyelids?

Eyelids???? Cheek kiss for Subaru (you can't tell me he won't get flustered and turn red as a tomato, which would be absolutely adorable) forehead kiss for Azusa and eyelids kiss for Shin. The latter I'd specifically kiss over his eyepatch (idk if he'd be offended and punch me or totally melt but that's a gamble I'm willing to take-)

13.- Take care of Shu and Reiji in their Chibi form or take care of Subaru and Kino in their Chibi form?

Shu and Reiji!

14.- Sing/Perform in public Laito’s Q.E.D Song or Reiji’s Mr.ButterflyMask song?

Both are *chef's kiss* 😘👌 but I think I'll go with Q.E.D. as it's one of my favorite songs from the series. Like God damn. Laito did not have to go that hard 😩💚

15.- Would you rather wear Ruki’s casual outfit or Yuma’s casual outfit?

Yuma's because it looks cozy and I love the little belt strap chain thingy on the leg.

16.- Go on a Vacation trip with Shu, Kino and Ayato at a Amusement park or go with Shin, Azusa and Subaru at a Water Amusement Park?

Again, since I have POTS amusement parks are sadly too much for me anymore so I'll take the water amusement park with Shin, Azusa and Subaru. I LOVE swimming and it would be easier on me. Although I do not like water slides so I'll stick with the lazy rivers, wave pools and regular pools. Plus I like the 2nd group of characters as a whole more than the 1st group. (love Shu though)

17.- Would you rather get lost in a forest with Reiji, Kino and Kou or with Ruki, Carla and Kanato?

This is tough. The 1st group has Reiji in it (bias showing lmao) but the 2nd group has two of the smartest characters, but also the purple gremlin. I really really realllllyyyyy wouldn't want to be stuck anywhere, nonetheless lost in a forest with Kanato. But I'm sure Ruki and Carla would keep his ass in check so I think I'll take my chances with the 2nd group.

18.- Who would you cook breakfast for? Who would you make a scarf for? and Who would you do a drawing for? Options: Kou, Azusa, Shu.

Breakfast for Kou as he loves to eat, scarf for Azusa so he can have something comfy and the drawing for Shu since I can't see him caring enough for food or using a scarf tbh.

19.- Participate in a Circus as Carla’s Knife thrower assistant or go to a Casino with Shin and be offered as a bet/reward by him in the Roulette Wheel game? (So if Shin looses you’ll be taken away by whomever won)

Carla's assistant. I can't stand gambling in the first place, so the reality that I could easily be given away if Shin loses scares the crap outta me. I think I'll take my chances with Carla since I guess I trust his skills more. I don't like either of these tbh ;-;

20.- Who would you rather catch by accident taking a shower, Yuma or Kanato?

Yuma. I don't want anything to do with Kanato. Yuma would probably just be like "yo wtf" and tease me while Kanato would rage. Plus Yuma in the shower, need I really say more? 👀🧡

The soles of his sneakers tapping along the sidewalk and the mess of his hasty breaths were the only sounds in the dead silence. Mystic latched a hand around his clavicle, putting pressure on the wound oozing with blood; his hand was sullied away from the fair tone it usually bore. It would be an understatement to describe the bloody mess hidden underneath his hand by the simple term of a “bite”. It had felt as though the Vampire had tried to rip off a chunk of his shoulder.

A grim cackle echoed around him, leaving no hint as to the direction of its origin. Mystic startled, splashing a puddle as he came to a halt in the middle of the street. He kept his eyes wide open, scanning the space around him, which remained eerily unperturbed.

The unanticipated ghastly graze on the hairs of his arm tripped a violent shudder all along the bones of his spine. He scarcely had any time to spin around and face the incoming danger when the swift flash of a shadow moved past his eyes. A hand clawed down into his arm, running him back against the empty shop; chips of bricks crumbled onto the shoulders of his jacket. An expression of fright in his pale complexion and an audible gasp sipped right out of his mouth.

Ruki hovered over him, casting a macabre shadow over the starving glow in his steel-blue eyes. “Caught you.”

Mystic felt diminutive pinned into the cold solidness of the cement, frosting over under the man’s gaze. He stiffened up with the air catching in his throat and all of the color draining from his already jade visage. He battled through the onslaught of fear freezing over the pit of his stomach, forcing up the most bitter of his smiles. He shoved his arm up, pressing it up against the jut of his throat before the Vampire could consider moving in closer. “Fucking beast,” he hissed.

“You say that,” started Ruki, turning his chin up as Mystic added further pressure into his defense, “yet you’re scrambling about while leaving such a sweet scent behind.” He gave the Founder’s gory collarbone a subtle glance over, before turning back to meet the fierce glare in his mismatched eyes. He yanked an arm up, clutching his jaw with a tight grip. “It is as though you are begging to be eaten up.”

Mystic gritted his teeth, flashing off the pointed ivory canines on both top and bottom rows of his denture; a deep growl rumbling up through his ribcage and into his throat. He felt his jaw creak and his skull bend under the Vampire’s grasp, grappling to slip away. Unfortunately for the weakened demon, his strength had majorly decreased, rendering his struggles against the Vampire futile.

Ruki clawed into Mystic’s wrists, ripping his arms to either side of his head. Blood dribbled down from the hand he’d kept over the wound of his shoulder; crimson staining the second party’s hand, slowly rolling over the joint under his palm. He delayed no longer as he swiftly dove down and plunged his fangs into the open wound.

In a simultaneous state of shock and agony, Mystic let out a scream; eyes shooting wide open. He fumbled about harder than in previous attempts at escape, finally breaking into a crazed breathing mess. Tears brewed at the edges of his eyes and mouth gaped open with nothing but a pitiful string of huffs and whimpers. His shoulder soon felt numb; left arm going limp by connection. He could barely feel the tips of his fingers anymore. He wasn’t sure whether it was due to the pain or the lack of blood… perhaps even his body found rapture in said torture. He could no longer tell.

Ruki looped an arm around Mystic’s waist, hoisting his slumped figure up. Though the attitude with which his fangs jabbed through the Founder’s skin could be called barbaric to say the very least, his touch was awfully tender. These faint carrasses shuddering of his nerves muddled his hazy judgement further. All fingers of his bound hands twitched, and a yelp decamped through the gap between his lips. Strangely enough, it wasn’t a helpless cry for help. Mystic’s pale features held a faint blush and the haze in his eyes were of unadulterated rapture.

Mystic dug his nails into his palms, unconsciously angling his head further out; slumping back with defeat. Ruki released the grip he held on the Founder’s hands, cradling his waist and spine completely. He slowly slipped his hand up into the nape of his neck, casually digging his fingers into the other’s mane of hair. Mystic shuddered, weakly pinching the edges of Ruki’s blazer, unable to do much else for himself. The world around began feeling darker than it previously had been, and he couldn’t even feel his legs anymore. Oddly enough, the amount of detail with which he felt every mouthful of blood leave his body through the veins on his shoulders was staggering.

“I should’ve known!”

The silence shattered and a screeching pain from the open wound at his shoulder split his skull apart, making him scream out in absolute agony.

A hand clutched Ruki’s shoulders, jerking him away without having pried his fangs from Mystic’s skin, creating an unsightly tear through the jade layer of epidermis. The violent shock of agony shook him awake, eyes widening and gasping as though he’d been yanked out from the depths of the ocean. Before he could finish processing what had just occurred, he staggered upon his first attempt at standing and fell at the feet of the newcomer.

“I could pick up that scent from miles away,” Kino huffed, reaching down to tug the Founder back up to his feet. The yank tore the wound further open, causing him to hiss in discomfort.

“Can you both stop fucking grabbing my arm like that?!” Mystic jerked said limb out of the Vampire’s hold. “It’ll fall off at this point, you pair imbeciles!” He snapped around to face the way Ruki had skidded away, then back at Kino, pointing accusitorangly with his one uninjured arm. “Both of you!”

Kino placed a hand on his chest, “Me too?”

Mystic felt a sudden urge to slap him. “Yes, you too! If you hadn’t been messing around with ingredients in the house of a witch, of all places, we wouldn’t be in this predicament, you goddamn idiot! Look at Ruki!” He jerked up his unwounded arm to point away in the direction of a dazed Vampire as he staggered back to his feet.

“Alright, but is that my fault in any way? Powerful substances like aphrodisiacs aren’t supposed to be laying around for anyone to grab. Especially if they’re a fume of any kind!” Kino retorted, earning him a groan from Mystic in response. “The only one at fault I see here is you for not even trying to fight him off in the first place. You even lovingly embraced him in front of me!”

“I never opened my arms to ‘lovingly embrace him’! He was stumbling about and was about to fall flat on his face, so I stepped in to catch him! I wasn’t just about to let him crack his skull because you were acting like a child that can’t keep their hands to themselves!”

“If you had just let him be, we wouldn’t be in this situation!”

“We wouldn’t be in this situation if you hadn’t been messing around!”

Ruki finally managed to stand on his feet properly. He lifted his head, calling out with audible annoyance, “That’s quite enough. Whoever is at fault—that doesn’t matter.” He crooked his finger, gesturing Mystic to his side. “Mystic… we are not done yet.”

The Founder turned pale, shuffling back against the wall. His knees quivered and his muscles felt sluggish; none would respond to his orders. As much as his mind screamed for him to escape, his body would not cooperate.

“Oh, you are done,” Kino balked, lifting an arm in front of Mystic; placing himself between him and the Vampire, despite the latter standing a few meters away from them. “Have people not told you not to touch what doesn’t belong to you? Keep up the charade and you’re going to kill him. Go dunk your head in a bucket of ice or die in your misery, I couldn’t care less.”

As much as Mystic wanted to retort, he considered his options. With an arm almost falling off its stump, perhaps allowing Kino to say as he pleased for now would be the best of any remaining options. Being left behind at Ruki’s mercy would most definitely not end prettily.

He leaned back against the wall with a short exhale, feeling battered beyond belief. Deep azure met the mismatched pair of ores, glowering past the Vampire Prince standing between them. Mystic shuddered; a fiery sensation blazed deep in his stomach. The vivid memory of Ruki’s hands trailing along the curve of his spine and the subtle verbal indicators of bliss vibrating into his skin as ivory fangs pierced through his flesh brought heat to the Founder’s face. Mystic gritted his teeth, attempting to kick off those thoughts and exchanging them for the blaring pain he’d felt. The fear he’d experienced from running through the desolate streets in the dark of night; helpless to find someplace where he could lay low and breathe without worrying to make a sound.

Mystic stepped back, pressing his back against the wall as much as it was physically possible. He lowered his head, seeming exhausted and defeated all at once.

The prince offered the other Vampire the smuggest of smiles as he said, “Take that as your ‘no’.”

“It wasn’t a request,” Ruki spoke in a low voice, ire vibrating off his tone.

“And I wasn’t asking,” Kino taunted.

Ruki opted to ignore him and hastily moved towards them, raising his voice. “Mystic!”

The Founder flinched, shrinking back into his place as he turned his face away.

The elder Mukami had lost his composure long before that moment; only standing and active because of the aftereffects caused by the conjure Kino’s carelessness had victimized him for.

The pitiful state in which Mystic stood—battered, bloodied, pale, and frightened to his very bones—made a diminutive area within his chest ache with guilt. It being clouded by his bloodlust, he decided that the only way to get rid of it was to pin the Founder down and have his way with him. Not caring of whether he begged and cried for him to release him.

Mystic very vividly sensed the Vampire’s desires. While the places he’d laid his fangs tingled with anticipation, the rest of his body burned up from the depths of his core; unsure of where such a ravaging reaction brewed from. He hated it. He hated that sensation so much. Mystic repeatedly scolded himself with the reality of the situation: Ruki wasn’t in his right mind. That was all. Whatever may have occurred between them at some point was well in the past.

“He’s so stubborn,” Kino huffed.

“But he isn’t like this,” Mystic whispered, much like speaking to himself rather than making a comment. The prince of Vampires glanced back, driving the Founder’s hazy gaze back at him. “He wouldn’t be like this if only you hadn’t been acting like a damn child back then.” Mytsic’s voice suddenly started rising and his tone harshen with each word, “If only you had just not stuck your hands in places you shouldn’t have, we wouldn’t even be in this situation, you fucking idiot!”

He’d lost it. The aggressive combination of pain, fear, and anger fueled Mystic’s outburst in a way he hadn’t felt in in decades. Through the blur of tears, he could see red, and could think of nothing but to spit out curses, as well as faulting everyone within his vicinity.

Kino, however, didn’t see it that way. The Founder’s accusations and tones had more than certainly rubbed him the wrong way. His brows lifted with amusement; smiling with his lips but not his eyes. “Is that so?”

Mystic blinked, as though he had only then realized the awful manner in which he’d allowed himself to go off on Kino.

“Alright,” the playfulness in the Vampire’s tone was long gone, leaving only frost-covered words, “I’ll keep my hands to myself then. This isn’t my problem, after all.” Then, he stepped aside, no longer blocking Ruki from reaching Mystic.

The Founder’s face blanched as the older Mukami's bloodlust-filled eyes scanned over his figure.

“Serve yourself.”

Ruki pounced without a second to spare. Mystic dove out of his spot, barely missing the maddened creature as he crashed against the wall, prying chips of cement from the wall. Mystic clutched the wound on his collarbone, giving a final glare—that of which was almost overflowed with terror—at Kino, who only offered him a cruel smile and salute. Mystic didn’t have enough time to cuss him out before he had to jump out of his spot for a second time. He stumbled back and crashed, stifling a scream as he dragged himself back. Soon after, he scrambled to his feet and took off, never once daring to cast a glance over his shoulder.

[Admin!Danny: Okay, the first time around I was writing this I accidentally deleted the entire draft, so I had to rewrite it all over again 😃🔫 Anyways… This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, so here it is: a VERSUS featuring Mystic as the MC. Forgive me if either Kino or Ruki came off as out of character, it’s been a long while since I’ve written for any of the canon boys (though keep in mind that their individual relationships with Mystic changes their attitude somehow). Reiji:

Most likely.

If we press the “Door” plate, we’ll be torn to shreds by those knives.

But if we choose the “Knife” plate, the door will no longer open.

Game over.

There is nothing we can do but brace ourselves.

Azusa:

That means we have to… slide under the door… before the knives fall… right?

But… if we don’t make it…?

Eve will...

Reiji:

Yes.

It will be rather dangerous.

Kino… What disgusting taste you have.

I’ll finish this game swiftly and bury you with my own hands.

Now, you should pass under the door first.

My DL Drama CD Collection + Recommendations

At this point in time the Diabolik Lovers series has a huge number of drama CDs and I thought it might be nice to talk about which ones I’d recommend for anyone who wants to get into the CDs but isn’t sure where to start. I’ve included a list of all of the CDs I own under the cut, so you can see exactly which volumes I’m referencing and if you spot a volume that you’re interested in and want to know more about then feel free to send me a message :)

Recommendations:

Rather than recommending random drama CD volumes, I’ve selected drama CD series that I would recommend based on what you’re looking for (and from there you can pick out the volumes of your favourite character(s)): 

Darker content -> The original Do-S bloodsucking CDs, the original Versus CDs, the More, Blood CDs and the Versus II Carla versus Shin volume. (One thing that’s worth noting is that in the original Do-S CDs, the dummyhead mic is only heavily utilized in the final ~15 minutes of the CD, whereas this isn’t the case for the versus or More, Blood CDs so if that’s important to you then this might be something to take into consideration).

Romance -> The Bloody Bouquet, Para-Selene or Born To Die CDs are going to be the best choice if you want something romantic. The Born To Die CDs are definitely the best if you’re just looking for fluff, but they are only available for the Tsukinamis and Kino (and to my knowledge none of them have English translations). As for Bloody Bouquet and Para-Selene, given that Bloody-Bouquet is themed around marriage, it’s a bit more romantic than Para-Selene but if you have the time/money then I’d recommend checking them both out.

Action/plot -> The Zero CDs. Because these CDs feature an actual enemy (the portrait version of the boys) they contain much more action than most of the other CDs. The versus CDs also have this to some extent but are much more open-ended and geared towards fan-service, while the Zero CDs have a self-contained story, with a satisfying conclusion.

Comedy -> Any bonus CD featuring multiple characters with the exception of the Chaos Lineage preorder bonus CD (which acts as more of a prequel to the game). In general bonus CDs with more than one character tend be very funny, and although I don’t own too many, my personal favourite is the Lost Eden bonus CD in which you and the boys hunt around the Sakamaki mansion for your and Azusa’s missing socks ( 「靴下を探してin逆巻家～開けてはならないパンドラボックス～」).

In addition: - If you’re completely open to new suggestions, then allow me to humbly recommend Shin’s Para-Selene CD, as besides Shin being my bias, I think this is a really well written CD and does a really good job of summing up Shin’s personality (in fact I would definitely recommend it if you’re trying to get to grips with writing him). - On the subject of writing, if you aren’t particularly confident with the Tsukinami brothers (but want to be) then I would heavily recommend the Versus II Carla versus Shin CD and the Dark Fate vol.1 CD as these a really good reference for writing the brothers interacting with an OC/Yui/a reader prior to any sort of emotional attachment. - If you own Chaos Lineage (the game), unless you’re out to collect all of your favorite boys CDs, I wouldn’t recommend getting the Chaos Lineage CDs, as I wouldn’t say they have any advantage over the game. - I also would not recommend the Lost Eden CDs if you own the game for the same reason (although I haven’t listened to Kino’s volume, which may be of interest to Kino fans). - The Another Story CD from the More, More Blood deluxe edition acts as a companion to the main More, More Blood CD (so Shin’s essentially acts as an epilogue), meaning that if you want the complete story of More, More Blood (and can afford it) then I would recommend getting the deluxe edition over the normal edition, but it is significantly more expensive. - The bonus CDs containing only one character that I own have all been good, so I’d recommend getting a hold of your favourite character’s if you can, however they’re a bit harder to come by than most of the other CDs and they’re normally only about 10 minutes. -The Sadistic Song CDs are all good, but they only feature a song, an off-vocal version of the song and a 9-14 minute mini-drama track for the price of a full drama CD (which is normally anywhere from between 45-70 minutes), meaning they maybe aren’t the best value for money unless you can find them for lower than the RRP.

-he feels like cats are too fragile and that dogs would be able to keep up with his pace 

-he would prefer a small dog so it can’t destroy his vegetables as easy

Ayato:

- would be the one it didn’t trust but would eventually become friends through way too many dog treats

-would have full on conversations with it

-would spend literal hours outside playing with his new best buddy

Shuu:

-always waited for a puppy for Christmas but never got one

-prefers big dogs because they tend to be quiet

-would feed his dog expensive brands

-would spoil his dog like crazy on Christmas with various toys and treats

Shin:

-the more wild the better

-he finds cats and kittens the most adorable ,sweetest creatures in the world

-he would adore them and treat them with astounding kindness 

-he would try and cuddle them at night to listen to them purr

-pink collar with a love hair surrounded by little diamounds

- spoils them like a lil princess

Laito:

-he loves hearing a satisfied kitty purring after a meal or cuddles

-he would be the unfortunate victim that would find a cat on their face when he woke up

-would treat them like a real part of the family

Prefers Neither: Reiji/Kino/Kanato/Carla:

-he doesn’t see the appeal about further domesticating an originally wild creature

Dialovers versus CDs ✨

When Rejet gave us Kino , and made them 12 + 1 , I was wondering about VS CdDramas . How will they keep going (´･ω･`)? I kinda though about one 3 members group ( at least ) but didn't expect them to actually make it o(≧∇≦o) perhaps because VS reminds me at person VS person. ONLY (๑•﹏•) Its too good too be true !! Now we will have Ayato Vs Shin Vs Kino as the first CD (๑˃̵　ᴗ　˂̵)و Just think about the amazing combination that we can get 🌸 The second CD , Shu Vs Ruki made me ( and lots of other people that I saw their reaction ꈍᴗꈍ ) screaming !! Because First born fight !! Responsibility , Honor , what you wanted to be , what others wanted you to be , who are you now , are you happy with yourself ? And alot more . If you are a first born you would understand what I mean (*°∀°) I really really wanted this !! every time that I get lost in my thoughts about Shu vs Ruki , that someday Rejet will make it , and after that , I need a Shu vs Carla ( for the Same reasons lol ✋ ) and a Shu vs Laito ( because of their Ravenclaw energy XD they both have masks in my eyes . Try to hide their true selves . a drama cd not a song ✨) and we have already Shu vs ayato and Shu Vs Reiji ~ now is my wish list for Shu vs X complete . But now its totally different ಥ‿ಥ we can have 3members groups !! Its amazing ❤️ Now I want a Shu vs Ruki vs Cala , Shu vs Reiji vs Yuma and 1000 other combination (๑•﹏•) I want to scream !!!!!
