Ruki’s Gay Agenda
Warnings: Contains LGBT bullying (does end positively)
Words: 2411
_________________________
Jun and Ruki were going about their way to school as they always do every morning when they saw a large crowd piling like sardines towards one area in the hall.
“Ruki, what’s going on?”
Ruki hurried over as soon as they walked into the hallways toward his locker. Almost everyone in the school passed by a certain locker or were staring at it in shock. Some people had their phones out and quickly snapped a photo. The others that kept crowding around either gawked or whispered. Some of them, when they saw Ruki stepping forward, they avoided eye contact or shuffled to their next destination.
Ruki and Jun walked towards Ruki’s locker. Red spray paint was tagged across his locker door with equally crudely written words. “Fag. Cock sucker.”
More people started to crowd around them and Jun could feel the air getting smaller and smaller to the point it felt hard to breathe. He tried to avoid the crowd and looked up at Ruki. He continued to stare at his locker but his face was expressionless. “Ruki?” Jun had no idea what to say. He felt like he was completely out in the open. Completely vulnerable, like the whole world was watching them. Someone probably snapped another photo. Jun approached Ruki again. “Ruki? Are you okay? Should we tell the teachers?”
Ruki blinked and looked at Jun and nodded. “Yeah it’s just… I’m kind of confused.”
Jun was taken aback. And so did everyone else it seemed. They all dropped taking pictures from their phones and looked at Ruki in disbelief. “What do you mean?” Jun asked.
“I mean, yeah. I don’t know why someone would do this. I’m just kind of confused why they would waste a lot of time doing something dumb like this. I’m pretty sure they don’t even know me. What was the point of this?” He turned to the closest girls next to them and asked, “Do you know who did this?” The girls quickly shook their heads and shuffled away. He asked the next batch of people. “Do you know who did this?” Same answer.
He kept asking the people around them when a sound of running footsteps was coming toward them. “Get out of the way,” grumbled Alex pushing his way through the crowd. When he reached towards Ruki he turned back at them and barked at them. “There’s nothing to see here! Get to your next class! Move it!”
The intimidated crowd scurried away from Alex who in this moment resembled a short angry chihuahua. His glare scared the nearby screaming girls. He turned to Ruki. “We’ll find who did this and make them pay.”
Ruki moved his hands up in defense. “Woah man. Violence is totally not necessary. But we should probably clean this though.” He took a finger and brushed it against the paint. “Maybe we can clean this off during lunch. This wouldn’t give everyone a good message if this stayed on here right?”
Alex blinked in amazement. “You are not normal.”
Ruki laughed softly. “What do you mean?”
“Like a normal person would get mad or sad or just stay super quiet and sad. But you’re like confused.”
Ruki gave him a perplexed look. “I am confused though.” He pointed back at his tagged locker. “Like seriously. Why would you waste your time on this? You have so much better things to do than just do this?”
“Dude, no one would think that way except you.”
Ruki laughed again but it didn’t sound like he found Alex’s comment funny. But almost like a laugh of self pity. “Maybe I’m not normal.”
More people passing by along with more whispering. Jun turned and grasped Ruki’s sleeve. “Hey. Maybe we should go. I’ll help you out during lunch too!”
Ruki turned and gave him a soft smile. “I’d like that. Thanks Jun.”
Throughout the school periods the school’s inner social media circle flooded with Ruki’s tagged locker. Spreading from each account to the other trying to find who the culprit was as if each person was trying to be an anonymous knight in shining armor. As usual, Ruki didn’t seem to take notice or bother with the flooding messages on his socials asking him questions like he was so person of interest.
When it was lunch Jun met up with Ruki outside of his English class and they both walked to the locker rooms to borrow some towels. “Are you okay?” Jun suddenly asked while they filled a mop bucket full of water from the sinks.
“Yeah? Why you ask?”
The bucket was full and heavy for Jun. Luckily Ruki was stronger because he actually did sports and took over the bucket handle. “It just seems that your reaction is really…” Jun couldn’t think of the right words and he knew he always had trouble with that. “Different? Like you’re not angry that you were targeted?”
Ruki scoffed as they took the stacks of towels and detergent from the bench. “Is Alex rubbing off on you?”
“What do you mean?”
“He just told me I wasn’t normal because I reacted differently than others if they were bullied too,” Ruki said with a smile but quickly retracted it back. “So were you influenced by Alex that I’m not normal?”
“No! It’s not like that!” Jun stammered. He felt his face turn red while holding onto the towels as they walked passed the gawking students in the hall. “Actually I think that’s really brave of you.”
“Brave?” Ruki asked with a slight shocked tone.
“Yeah. It’s honestly really inspiring. Instead of putting out your anger or giving yourself pity you had another outlook on it. Instead of causing more problems you want to resolve it. I think that’s really amazing. So it’s not really a matter if you’re normal or not. It just…” He raised the towels to cover his face from embarrassment. “You’re an inspiration.”
They reached Ruki’s locker and set down the things. Ruki put his hand on his shoulder and smiled. “Thanks, that means a lot.” Jun nodded and gave him a towel. When he started mixing the soap detergent in the water, Ruki spoke again. “And… thanks for saying I’m not weird or anything.”
Jun looked up and frowned. “Why would you be weird? You’re not weird at all Ruki.”
“Hey Ruki!” Both of the boys turned toward the direction of Alex. He stomped pass the crowd dragging two younger boys in each hand by their shirt collars flailing their arms begging for mercy. Despite his smaller but lithe body, Alex threw the boys in front of Ruki. “I found the culprits.” The boys’ childish faces indicated that they were freshmen. They looked up at Ruki and whimpered like scared dogs. “Apologize you twats!” Alex demanded.
Ruki put a hand up at Alex. “Alex they’re not animals. Talk to them like normal human beings.” Ruki then kneeled down at the quiet freshmen like they were actual kindergarteners. He didn’t seem to show any sign of remorse but rather a sign of humbleness. He smiled at them and they jerked back. “Are you the guys that happened to write that on my locker?”
The smile seemed to intimidate one of the boys as he looked down on the floor without saying anything.
“You can tell me the truth. I’m not going to yell at you if you really did it or not.” Ruki’s soothing voice was seriously not helping this contradicting situation.
“It was his idea!” One of the boys suddenly shouted.
The other boy looked at his buddy in a face of someone that has been betrayed. “Wait what the fuck? You’re the one that wrote on it first!”
“Shut the fuck up Eddy! You always start it! You always kept calling him a cock sucker anyway!”
“Let’s back up a bit,” Ruki interjected. He turned to the boy who was called Eddy. “So why do you think I’m that?”
Eddy continued to look at the floor. The behavior really did resemble a kindergartener that did not want to admit that they hit someone first. “Because you just give off that vibe.”
“How so?” Ruki looked at them both as if he was really concerned. “Like I’m actually curious. I want to know how do I give off that kind of vibe to you guys?”
“Because you act so girly!” The other boy stammered. “You look at other guys so hard like you want to suck dick like dude it’s so gross! Also you move and look like a girl anyway!”
That alone made Jun want to punch that kid in the face but luckily Ruki interjected again. “Because I don’t act like a typical bro type. Is that why you made those assumptions?”
“Yeah isn’t that how gay people act? That’s so weird,” spat Eddy. Alex was about to whack him in the head but Ruki waved at him to stop.
Ruki clenched his teeth. “Yikes. That’s really problematic. Actually a lot of it what you said is really really problematic.” He brought his fingers to begin counting their call outs. “For one, you’re assuming that because I’m a guy I have to act super masculine. Not all boys are born with that masculine mindset you're actually putting a lot of boys in danger if you have assume that on all boys. No, sorry, male presenting humans. Two, you assume that all guys that act ‘girly’ are gay because they don’t fit the typical mold of the masculine bro type. Am I right?”
The two freshmen boys didn’t look at Ruki they continued to look down. Eddy started twirling his tennis shoe laces.
“And one last thing,” Ruki continued raising three fingers. “Let’s just say I really am gay. Like no offense but why do you care?” That got the boys’ attention. “That kind of thing should be something that should be kept to me. And even if I do, what do you call that, ‘come out’ right? I don’t think it should matter that much because my sexuality shouldn’t define who I am. There's so much more to me than my sexuality. And who I love should only matter between me and that other person. Or multiple if I identify as a polysexual, but that should be a relationship between me and that other person. It shouldn’t even be your business unless I invite you into it.”
The two boys were completely speechless. They seem to be at a loss of words so Ruki continued to ramble.
“I am pretty sure if you ask any actual gay guys they probably wouldn’t pounce on you anyway. Because that’s not really how that works. I mean, again if I was gay, I have never seen you before so I don’t know why you would even be afraid of me.” Then Ruki tapped his chin and thought some more. “Could it be you’re afraid of gay guys because you don’t want to be treated like a girl? You don’t want to know what it’s like for a girl in a man’s world?”
“Okay! I’m sorry!” Eddy roared at him overpowering Ruki’s soft voice. Everyone in the hallway stopped in their tracks at them making it feel like deja vu from this morning. His buddy shot a threatening look of betrayal and panic at him. “I’m sorry for calling you all that! It was Aku’s idea first! He keeps talking about it every time and I just kind of tagged along and we thought it would be funny! Just a joke!”
“Dude what the fuck?!” Aku yelled at him. “Why the fuck are you calling me out you’re the one that called him the cock-sucker first! I remembered that!”
“I’m just telling him the truth!”
“Woah guys calm down. It’s fine.” Ruki moved his hands to cease them from arguing even further. He softly laughed and rested his chin on his palm. “I appreciate your honesty. But you know, if you really wanted to cause a scene let me give you a piece of advice. This.” He pointed back at the locker. “Is not the way to do it. You should try being nice sometime. It’s fun.”
“We are really sorry,” Eddy pleaded again on the verge of tears.
Alex kicked them, first Aku then Eddy, face down on the floor. “If you’re sorry stop sobbing and start scrubbing.”
The boys crawled towards the bucket and grabbed the dripping wet towels. As they rubbed the paint off the metal more passerbyers came through for a quick snap or two. The freshmen boys tried their best to ignore them by scrubbing the locker harder and trying hard not to cry. It was like watching a quick display of public shaming.
Alex and Jun tried to shoo the crowd away making them mind their own business. “This is so annoying,” complained Alex. He turned back to the whimpering that felt his intense stare by scrubbing harder. “Scrub harder!”
Jun patted Alex. “I think they get the message it’s okay. See they’re concentrating on making it spotless.” Alex quietly furiating shooed more passerbys. Jun stood on his tip toes and whispered in Ruki’s ear, “The way you handled that was amazing.”
Ruki softly chuckled into his mouth trying hide his embarrassment but Jun could still see he was smiling from his cheeks. “You’re giving me too much credit. I was just trying to tell them how I feel.”
Jun couldn’t help but smile back feeling so proud of him. “Still though. I think they will probably remember this rather than just beating them up.”
“I mean I hope so. But you know,” he glanced at Jun and flashed his perfect white teeth, “you inspired me to say all of that.”
Jun was surprised. “Wait how? What did I say?”
Ruki shrugged. “Because you encouraged me having another approach at it.” Jun was going to come up with a response but his brain almost fried by the compliment. However Ruki went up to the freshmen. He tapped on Aku’s shoulder interrupting his concentration of scrubbing. “You know if you really want to bring people’s attention to other people’s ‘juicy secrets,’ next time say more accurate facts rather than just stirring up fictional claims you know? Like if you wanted to call me out at least get my sexuality right.”
“So you're not gay?” asked a sniffly Eddy.
Ruki laughed but he seemed to be nervous rather than making a joke. “No I’m bi.”

Hello, how are you dear Admin? Actually I already have a question(if you are busy / have a lot of requests, ignore it) what if s/o is a minor girl, and yet she is very mature, and she is a really good counselor(that is, she looks like an adult woman who depends on her well) for example, When brothers quarrel, or people get into trouble, they offer a helping hand or advice, and then the problem is easily solved? (Ruki, Reiji, Shu, Carla, Ruki) I apologize if that's too much

The Muse: Yui Komori oneshot
Tumblr media
Writing commission for @s-e-kwan
A boy at school asks Yui to be his model for a set of paintings. Mild Yui x OC
Minding her own business in class, Yui pushed light blonde hair behind her ear, leaning forward to scribble down notes. The monotony of her daily schedule had been getting to her as of late. Nothing but school, Mukami mansion, getting bitten, then if she was lucky, sleep.
Rinse lather and repeat, with the only change being who bit her, how and where.
“Excuse me.”
Glancing up tiredly, she blinked. A young man stood before her, smiling.
“Hello?”
He bowed swiftly. “Please be my model!”
Yui blinked again, before her cheeks flushed red, at a loss for words. What?
“I’m applying for a place in an art academy abroad and they asked me to submit a project for my submission! If you’d be willing, I’d be very grateful if you could stand as my muse! I really think I could capture your fragile beauty on canvas and-“
“Yes,” she cut him off.
He straightened, expression surprised. “Truly?”
“If you’re um…working hard to go study abroad, I’d like to help. No one should be stuck here if they don’t want to be,” she murmured, before shaking her heavy thoughts away and giving a hesitant smile. “What would you like me to do?”
—-
The artist had decided to base his project on biblical beauty, in contrast to modern beauty. Yui sat in a classroom that had been booked, heavy make-up having been layered onto her face, blonde hair adorned with red carnation flowers. She wore dark clothing, secretly glad she’d taken the time to cover up the bitemarks littering her body. The Mukami’s had been none too pleased about the thought of her spending time alone, with a boy, but Ruki had permitted it so long as it took place at Lunch within school. No afterschool clubs permitted for Livestock.
Yui felt a chill run down her spine, wondering if she were being watched.
Apparently, the piece she was supposed to be representing was Jezebel. She therefore tried to recall what Cordelia possessing her had felt like, draping herself over the back of the chair.
“Ohh that’s a great expression!” The young man held up a hand, silently telling her to hold it as he painted with lush strokes. “Really captures lust and decadence tastefully.”
Yui bit back a listless smile. “Is that a good thing?”
“Of course! I knew you’d be perfect for this,” he says, causing her heart to flutter. No one sincerely complimented her anymore.
The second time she modelled, Yui wore make-up again, though not as heavy as the first time. She lifted an apple to the corner of her mouth, as though biting into it to represent the corruption and loss of innocence that came from being ‘Eve.’
She didn’t really have to channel much with this role, thinking about the Mukami brothers as she let herself sit however she wanted.
They always arranged her body how they pleased, Yuma shoving her into walls or windows to press into her hard and heavy. Azusa, holding her hand deceptively gently, murmuring sweet nothings even as he ignored the blood loss draining her skin chalky porcelain. Kou would be all sharp edges, digging his nails into wounds and overwhelming her with pain. Ruki was the calm in the eye of the storm, the control that dominated and allowed for nothing else but his touch, his fangs to be felt.
And Yui…was their Eve. Fulfilling a role just like the biblical woman, inevitably set up by outside forces to fall from grace. The helplessness of her situation stung lashes into her eyes.
“Yui, are you alright?” Her artist paused, brows drawing together.
“I’m fine,” she forced a wobbly smile. “Please continue.”
When the final modelling session came, Yui found herself without any makeup, her hair unadorned. A laced veil had been attached, draping down. She clutched a lily flower close, averting her gaze as the artist adjusted the veil.
“W-what does um…the lily represent?” She asked.
“Simplicity, innocence, purity,” he murmured, lifting the veil to give her face one last check. “And hope.”
Rose-pink eyes stared at him. His proximity caused pale cheeks to redden, as though dusted with blush.
Between one moment and the next, his lips met hers. Yui stiffened, pulling away and clutching the flower tight, crushing petals.
“I-I apologise, Yui. I won’t do it again. I don’t know what came over me,” he straightened, wincing.
“No…you don’t have to apologise,” she said, adjusting her collar to better hide a bruise. It was better she kept him at arm’s length.
Better she didn’t tell him she’d enjoyed it for half a moment.
He nodded sadly, returning to his seat and taking brush to paint.
—–
When the day finally arrived for the art class exhibition a few months later, Yui had been permitted to go. It was only a small affair held within the school, and yet many attended. Walking among the four brothers in the crowd, Yui stopped upon finally catching sight of painted flowers.
Inching around the people in the crowd, she stopped before the pieces mounted in a row on the wall.
“Hey, isn’t that you, Yui?” Kou grinned, eyes narrowing at the Jezebel picture. “Who knew you looked so good in a sultry pose.”
“Mn…I don’t know if I like that…the artist stared at Eve long enough to…paint a picture,” Azusa murmured, looking at the fine details of her long lashes or ruby lips closing around the apple.
Yuma tsked. “Ain’t that the point of modelling?”
Staring up at them, Yui touched her cheek, wondering if she really looked like that to the artist.
At that moment, she heard her name be called. The artist himself rushed up to her, before noting the four brothers bristle and glare at him. He laughed with mild confusion, touching her shoulder.
“I got accepted!”
“That’s great,” she grinned, unable to help it. Her body swayed with want to hug him, but she felt Ruki’s tell-tale hand on the small of her back.
“Yeah! And it’s all thanks to you, thank you so much, Yui!” He leaned forward and pulled her in close, wrapping her in a brief but tight hug.
Yuma growled lowly, flashing fangs, but Kou laughed and waved dismissively to indicate this wasn’t the time or place to get into ‘vampire mode.’
The artist pulled away and Yui fought down the urge to beam.
“To show my deep gratitude, I’d like you to take one of these pieces.”
“R-really?”
“Of course!”
She smiled, turning to them. “That’s so kind of you…I think I’ll have the Virgin Mary if that’s alright.”
“Oh, why that one?”
With her heart shuddering, she smiled. “I don’t know. I can’t be pure anymore, but it would be nice to hold onto hope.”
He tilted his head and glanced at her companions, before nodding. Making some more idle small talk, he then excused himself, informing her the painting would be delivered to her address.
Yui watched his form retreat into the crowd, thinking that she’d likely never see him again.
“He painted you holding lavender coloured roses,” Ruki uttered, looking at the Virgin Mary.
He changed it from lilies? She thought.
“Some say, it can mean enchantment, mystery and…love at first sight.”
She turned to him, crushing the fluttering feeling those words evoked under her heel.
“Did you enjoy the brief freedom his painting permitted you?” His eyes slid down to her.
She smiled gently, unafraid of the punishment that came with admitting to it.
“…I did.”

X & V Class Popularity Vote
Tumblr media
Provided a really rough translation of the latest article regarding the ranked popularity of Etrian Odyssey’s classes from EO1-5 that will be featured within the X & V art book. Not to be confused with the popularity rankings for Nexus’s featured classes. These classes in the article were voted upon appearance and skill flexibility.
These were the comments and specifics regarding the top ten popular classes. Please note that the commentary does have mild spoilers for EO1-5.
Popular Class Placements:
Zodiac (10th Place) Hexer (9th Place) Harbinger (8th Place) Medic (7th Place) Protector (6th Place) Ronin (5th Place) Sovereign (4th Place) Landsknecht (3rd Place) Imperial (2nd Place) Nightseeker (1st Place)
ZODIAC (10th place | 50 votes)
The magic-based class featured in EO3. From here on out, there will be spoilers regarding characters so watch out! But this class was at the top for being the best elemental class.
Commentary: "Really loved the cool motif of astrology and having to manipulate the stars. The use of magic being incorporated into the design, the flexibility, and overall appearance of the Zodiac made them really likable!" - AkiUsagi
"Casting meteor shower during the half-way point through the game was so much fun!" - Nue
"The satisfaction of hitting enemy weaknesses with their elemental skills is the best feeling! Also if there was a remake of the game, it would be nice to have that girl [Hypatia] be added as an ally." - JukaiNoYoubun
Misc: - Meteor and the extra Search skills used out of battle were voted as the best skills by many players and thus boosted the class's popularity.
HEXER (9th place | 52 votes)
The ailment and binding class featured in EO1. This class and Zodiac were very close in their vote placements by just two votes! Just what do people think of the dark-themed Hexers who give off an antagonistic impression towards RPG fans?
Commentary: "It always makes me excited to know that their skills of spreading status ailments hit well. These Hexers sure have a shady role (in battle)." - Rororock
"I don't see how people can't use them because they have such good skill names, good team flexibility, and a good design! (And with lines like "Be in fear, for we...", oh but that's sort of like spoilers [Tlachtga]) . There should be no reason to leave them out of anything." - Ruki
"Though they were difficult to work with as a party member, their skill Life Trade really made them one of my favorite classes." - Leaf
Misc: - Life Trade was mentioned by many fans as being their favorite skill. Seems as though this class has been a central favorite of long-time fans of the series!
HARBINGER (8th place | 54 votes)
The scythe-wielding class of EOV makes it up the ranks! Their appearance seems to be praised due to the series' shift in art style and focus. They have placed as 8th in this popularity vote!
Commentary: "With the gothic punk and Grim Reaper motifs, I really think the design for all the portraits give off a good Chuunibyou vibe!" - Suiyo
"I really enjoyed the design of the goth girls especially the twin-tailed girl (lol). I ended up giving them Name Titles with lots of drama like "Icy Ash Scythe Firepower". I won't ever forget that moment during my play through.." - MacaronTower
“The scythe and Grim Reaper motifs had made me excited because I also thought about them [Harbinger portraits] acting like Chuunibyous. I think out of all the EOV classes, they strike as the solid example of what a Chuuni looks like and it’s the best LOL. The Harbinger mascot featured in the promotional art works is my favorite!” - Remori
Misc: - The striking appearance of the class and the flashy weaponry made this class very popular among the fans. Many players seem to have concluded that the class’s impression of being very Chuunibyou-like is also what made it extremely popular. Another factor that made them even more popular is that in Nexus, their skill and flexibility have been written entirely different than from EO5, making them more reliable as back-lined party members who can recover easily in battle.
MEDIC (7th place | 59 votes)
The obligatory healing class from the series! We have put in the total votes of EO1, EO2, and EO4 to make this voting more simple due to the similarities of them all in their respective games. Many find it hard to remove them from their party because of their healing skills and aid with recovery!
Commentary: “I fell in love with the good damage outputs when using skills like Heavy Strike on an enemy. The idea of having a medicinal worker use brute force in battle is really rare in other games so it’s interesting to have that option of an offensive healer who doesn’t prioritize just healing skills.” - Nerujera
“I really liked the pose of the female portraits! I feel like just having them be in the series brings a good balance.” - TamagoKayu
“They’re all just really cute and I felt like seeing them was a good opportunity to get into the series.” - Nanakamado
Misc: - Many players were in awe that the class’s design with a traditional lab coat and sneakers was put in a fantasy game. Though with skills like “Heavy Strike”, it broke the stereotypical healing role of the class to which many fans enjoy as there is more to a healer than just recovery skills.
PROTECTOR (6th place | 60 votes)
The strong-footed tanks of the series. Among early fans of the series, many have taken a liking to the strong impression the mascot “Teach” gives off. She has been a strong favorite since her extra content had been introduced in series’ character designer, Yuji Himukai’s promotional works for the series.
Commentary: “I was enamored with Teach’s design. Eventually, I ended up picking up the rest of the series as well..” - Kitomiya Ryu
“I won’t ever forget the fearless Protector who fought as my party’s shield until the very end!! Especially during the 3 Elemental Dragon fights!” - Awara
“I know that the Protector is usually the one who has to defend everyone but I was surprised to find out that they can do tons of damage--even more than my other party members!” - Raidenjuu
Misc: - Fans have concluded that having a Protector during the Elemental Dragon fights made them extremely reliable. Also with the popularity of just the blonde mascot, many found themselves leaving her name as “Teach” in their games to commemorate the official side-content where she is referred as such.
RONIN (5th place | 65 votes)
The high and mighty offensive class from EO1-2. This class was the first eastern representation for the series as they study the Bushido arts and attack using katanas. This has lead them to become very popular among players!
Commentary: “I loved using a Ronin to fight in the first game so when I found out they were featured in Nexus, I thought ‘Wow, they’re even more easier to use’!” - Sink
“They’re pretty reliable as they’re a sturdy offensive unit. Having a good attack is key to having a good defense for your team.” - Echika
“You would think they could be labelled as the Samurai class but somehow the name Ronin fits best for the series...” - Furunosuke
Misc: The high performance that urges many to want to be experimental with this class was brought on as a popular point among players. Also, those who were great fans of the first game have concluded that they think very fondly of the interactions with the ronin, Ren, with this class.
SOVEREIGN (4th place | 72 votes)
The royal class made it in at 4th place for being the best support class. They are a primary support unit for Nexus with tons of powerful ally-buffing skills!
Commentary: “I subclassed my Princess as a Shogun so I just went all out with using as much HP and TP skills to do tons of status ailment damage.” - Bosodo
“They’re a balanced class with a lot of flexibility and the idea of a royal exploring is pretty intense. I actually started to come up with backstories for my party members when I subclassed them as Sovereigns and wrote that they had been royalty all along...” -Honey Oolong
“Princess Arianna (EO2U) is just really cute!!” - Meshitero
Misc: - Lots of players found them to be quite charming due to the idea of having someone of a royal status be exploring the labyrinth. The popularity for this class also spiked due to the fact that Princess Arianna Caledonia from EO2U, was featured as the main heroine of the game. Now onto the top three placements...
Landsknecht (3rd place | 94 votes)
The masterful class that uses links as their strength in battle. They have the most flexibility and are usually quick on their feet to strike with tons of strength against enemies. Much like the Medic class, we accumulated the votes from EO1, EO2, and EO4 for their placement.
Commentary: “When I first picked them, I was really nervous because they seemed like they couldn’t be a reliable offensive unit. Though their TP expenses were really little for doing so much damage! I also thought that the models for the Mystery Dungeon crossover game were very cute for this class..” - Tokoha
“Even though they’re just a Landy, it was real interesting to have even an enemy [Logre] have these skills. But, their skills really are powerful!” - Coffee
“The raw damage they do is insane!” - R-chan
“No matter how I look at it, the best design is the blonde girl with the hood! I also think that the link skills and the skill Sword Tempest are real easy to use.” - SakuraAme
“Because of the nature of their link skills, I love fighting with a full party!” - A.A.
Misc: - Many players thought that the Landsknechts in the first two entries gave off a decent impression but as they returned for the fourth entry, lots of people picked them for their spotlight on the game’s cover!
IMPERIAL (2nd place | 110 votes)
Right behind first place is the powerful Imperial class! Their drive skills can take out tons of difficult enemies with just a few slashes at the cost of having great strains onto the blade.
Commentary: “Something about the design of a gun-blade is real simple and real cool. Also Logre is really handsome...” - Baado
“They have a pretty rustic design with all that armor but their mechanical swords are what made me really interested in them.“ - Akina Yuki
“So flashy! So cool! So beautiful! Epic! Fire power! Heavy armor!!” - Tony Man+
“I love the bespectacled portrait with the cool weapon design~” - Levanthin
“Because I became really indecisive with my party, I figured strong attack skills were the best so I picked them. Also, I found the drive blades to be quite charming!” - Yutaro
Misc: - As mentioned by many above, the concept of the Imperials’ drive blade was a charm point for the class. Also, the primary reason as to why fans chose this class as their favorite was due to the fact that players favored Logre for his role as a boss, ally, and for his sportiness!
NIGHTSEEKER (1st place | 112 votes)
The class that wins first place is the famous Nightseeker class from EO4! They have overwhelming power and great flexibility with inflicting status ailments on enemies. They had previously won as the best class in the Best Job vote prior to Nexus’s release so they have been crowned the top class twice!
Commentary: “I can’t stop loving the dark visuals of this class! Also, their offensive skills are extremely handy and I loved using them!” - Forest Rat
“When I first bought EO4, I was just really amazed by their skills. Their defense ain’t all that great but their explosive damage outputs is crazy! Though, they also give off a Chuuni-like vibe!“ - EngeiNobyou
“First off, they’re really cute and super cool!! The sort of give off this dark aura but they’re still pretty strong! Their damage towards the end-game boss is something else with all that damage output..” - Berukanto
“The damage output if you subclass the Nightseekers as Imperials blew me away..” - Miitatsu
“It’s such a unique class when compared to other RPGs. It really stands out as being a strong offensive class for a series like EO.” - Beibeikani
Misc: - Seems as though Nightseeker is very popular for its high damage outputs as well as cool, dark appearance much like the Hexer and Harbinger classes. Who is to say that with the power of the player’s imagination, they may also be Chuunibyous with how their designs are?
Special Shout-Out Placements for those who didn’t make the top ten are:
11. Fencer 12. Gunner 13. Dragoon 14. Masurao 15. Survivalist 16. Dark Hunter 17. Dancer 18. Shogun 19. Arcanist 20. Ninja 21. Highlander 22. Rover 23. Alchemist 24. Fortress 25. Rune Master 26. Comic Girls - Episode 09
Okay, today so far is going better than yesterday. Let’s keep it that way. It’s Comic Girls, episode 09! Here we GO!
-It’s a celebration! Koyume got her first ever color pages! With a hero that looks like Tsubasa cross-playing. …Tsubasa, please, you have to notice at some point that all of Koyume’s heroes look like you. Please. This is getting ridiculous—KOYUME YOU SURELY NOTICED RIGHT oh god they’re denser than a black hole. At least Ruki and Kaos know where they stand as perverted lesbians.
-Opening!
-So Koyume is working hard on those pages, and Kaos tries to motivate herself to step up a level…There’s only one problem. Her brain is fucking cooked and she can’t draw together an idea…! While Koyume has decided to take a break and clear her head. Could this be the secret Kaos is missing?! She’ll come with you! Teach her the Koyumethod of manga!
-Actually, what does Koyume do when she goes out? She meets up with friends, chats about fun stuff, eats yummy stuff, and tries on some cute clothes! …KAOS CAN’T DO ANY OF THOSE THINGS. She is not a beautiful sparkly high school girl! DESPAIR! And Kaos is lost in the Kaospiral.
-To out and about, with the whole gang! Tsubasa got pushed to do a fun slice-of-life chapter by her editor, so she’s out here looking for ideas. So the beautiful princess got captured for a long time, surely the first thing on her mind would be…
-Sweets!
-MEAT
-…No, Tsubasa. So to fancy cafe for ideas, where Kaos has a freakout over her fancy parfait, and Koyume gets herself pancakes, and…
-I’m just gonna quote Tsubasa, word for word, as she watches Koyume eat those sugar-soaked breads. “I think liking sweet things is cuter.” And “Speaking so seriously when you have whipped cream on your face…That’s really cute.” She doesn’t even know how thick and strong she’s laying it on.
-To clothes. And…Look, real talk, at this point if I quote every incredibly sapphic line out of Tsubasa’s mouth I’m gonna be here all fuckin’ day. And Tsubasa doesn’t know the first thing about fashion so she’s lost in trying to make it work, and is just leaning on Koyume’s wis—
-KABEDON
-KOYUME JUST KABEDON’D TSUBASA
-What were we talking about
-And then Koyume drags Tsubasa into a changing room and suddenly their roles are entirely revKOYUME IS TAKING OFF TSUBASA’S SHORTS THIS IS NOT A DRILL THIS IS NOT A DRILL RED ALERT ALL HANDS ON DECK
-Okay it was just to find her sizes. And soon Koyume has Tsubasa dressing up and Kaos is watching all of this with a mighty thirst.
-We’re seven minutes in. We’re seven minutes in, there’s a 90 second OP, and this might be the most sapphic the show has ever been and that is including the episode that spent half its runtime focused on how Glasses Girls are Best Girls. (The show is correct about this, for the record. Glasses Girls ARE Best Girls.)
-Tsubasa found a clock shaped like a baby chick and the gap moe is overwhelming. I think you killed Kaos. We need her for the show. But Ruki, Ruki is just seeing the old Tsubasa shining through. Back when Ruki first met Tsubasa, when they were kids, Tsubasa wasn’t nearly so…performative about being a tomboy. She loved her shonen manga, but was really girly, too. She was small and adorable! But the deeper she got into manga, the more stoic she became, and the more she just started dropping everything that took effort…And, well, being a frilly sort of girl takes effort, so it became pants and hoodies and short hair.
-Until everything went stoic and functional. But Koyume’s drawing out some of her old passions and desires…All at the heart of the Koyumethod! The what now.
-Back the dorm! Tsubasa got right to drawing, full of inspiration. …And also she keeps cosplaying as she draws, in multiple costumes, switching as she goes. Which is eating up a lot of her time. But, I mean, if it works…
-Indeed, after her next meeting, Tsubasa’s all excited. And Koyume got good reviews from her work, too! They’re linking up wonderfully! Ruki and Kaos are so happy to see it. A true, proper senpai/kouhai duo. …Unlike them. …OH GOD KAOS SHE’S FAILED YOU SHE’S SORRY
-But later that night, Ruki’s got to be the one to notice that Koyume’s time with Tsubasa has meant less running around. And yet her sweets intake hasn’t slowed. And, well, she’s getting a little…soft around the middle. Koyume thus begins to panic as she realizes her many sins against slimness…And that’s when Tsubasa gets back with cream puffs! Oh god, Koyume is caught in the middle.
-And thus begins the debate. On the one hand, Koyume’s cutesy demeanor works just fine with a little softness, and Tsubasa don’t care. On the other, Ruki uses her as a model and you can’t model graceful shoujo waifs if you have a tummy. And on the gripping hand, Ririka points out how hard it is to keep the weight off as you get older. And they’re all just squishing and squeezing Koyume!
-Who cannot seem to focus on her manga later because of this weight panic. …She’ll wear something cute to cheer herself up! Like this favorite dress! …Oh god it won’t zip up. OH GOD
-Episode 09: Kaospiral
-Eventually she’s in the bath with Ruki and trying to figure out what to do…Ruki likes to use muscle massages in the bath to help keep things trim. There’s even ones for improving your bust size and anyways that’s how they get into a grope battle. And Kaos just listens with a mighty thirst while she does dishes.
-After bath. Koyume turns to her Tsubasa-sama. Senpai. Sensei. Something with an S. Who thinks the answer is you’ve just got to fuckin’ work out. Calories out has to be bigger than calories in. That’s all there is to it. So that’s how Koyume gets roped into Tsubasa’s morning run.
-Very early morning run.
-There’s a six in the morning now?
-Also Koyume overdoes it so when Tsubasa gets back, she’s carrying the stupid dork. But eventually, Koyume is on the right track, and just needs a little bit of dieting and portion control…Except now her lust for snacks is causing them to appear in very odd places in her art. That boy is wearing a cake for a hat. Okay, okay, fix it! Gotta be diligent, diligent, delicious, she ate the page.
-And when Koyume goes to her editor meeting…Her editor is disappointed. It feels…Like something’s missing. It’s a bit lifeless. Not like your usual work…And Koyume almost keeps a straight face, right until she runs into Tsubasa. And then it all spills out.
-Koyume’s caught in a thick mess of a conundrum, as they end up stopping into a little restaurant to talk. There’s her yearnings and urges. There’s her desire to be thought of a certain way by Tsubasa. And there’s the path to her manga. All of them spinning and spiraling against each other, until finally, he decides there’s only one thing she can do…
-Lean into the passion. She’s gonna have herself this delicious looking pie, redo her pages, and clear her head. And go on the next morning run with Tsubasa to try and keep things under control.
-And she ends up pulling a whole all-nighter to completely and utterly redo the chapter from top to bottom, with her real true self properly expressed in the work! And it might be a bit fluffy, but in the end it worked out that she burned so many calories(and dropped enough water weight) pulling that all-nighter that she still lost that last kilo. She’s even got her manuscript with her at school so she can turn it in to her editor after school…Be careful you don’t lose it!
-Which is when Tsubasa has a panic, because guess what happened.
-So before we go any further, I’m about…75% sure Miharu stole it to read it before anyone else.
-But okay, first they’ve got to check back in class! Tsubasa was working on it during class, but that should also mean it wouldn’t have disappeared from the classroom…Fuuuuck, that entire chapter…! Koyume’s an expert in losing and re-finding things! I’m not sure how great that sounds either, Ruki. Okay, first, what classes did you have that took you out of the normal classroom? Well, there was science…TO THE SCIENCE LAB!
-Which is as barren as the desert. Okay, next plan! The lost and found! No luck, but Koyume found a bunch of things she was missing. Okay, last ditch effort! To Nijino-sensei to ask for help! She’s got a simple plan. She’ll describe the booklet as something she lost, which should get them to respect her privacy and hand it over without looking into it. You four should split up to look through the school while she starts asking around.
-And off everyone goes…With Miharu secretly hoping she can find it so she can read it first, before anyone else! Okay so my theory was wrong. But soon everyone’s charging through, with Tsubasa and Koyume trying to find any sign of things, and Tsubasa so obviously cares deeply for finding those pages…She pours her heart and soul into them, from her very core…!
-While Kaos and Ruki try the library…And Ruki spots something between two shelves! A space too narrow for Ruki to fit. Come on, Kaos, squeeze in…And grab onto it, while Ruki pulls her free!!! And this is not Tsubasa’s manuscript case. Then whose could it possibly be? It looks old, too…
-Cue Miharu. …Oh god they found her high school manuscript she hid. HOW DID YOU FIND THAT?!!!!
-Oh god THEY FOUND HER OLD YAOI DRAWINGS
-Kill her now. Just kill her right now. She’s…Going to put that in the lost and found! For whatever other student, entirely unrelated to anyone you know, to find it! Please go keep looking. Far away from here. Other end of the building. Go go go!
-Eventually the sun is low in the sky, and they’ve still had no luck…And at this point, Tsubasa’s ready to give up. To let her life be over. The manuscript will be leaked. The identity of Wing-V will be revealed. All she can do now is let it happen, and keep as many people out of the crossfire as she can. …No. They’re sticking by you and they’re making this work. They’re gonna find that manuscript!
-And cue Suzu who found it earlier in the science lab and has been looking for Tsubasa all day to get it back to her. And looks quite cute when she’s not playing full spookum. Enough that they don’t even recognize her…But then she unpins her hair, goes full spookum, and chases the girls across the roof. Naturally.
-Credits!
Man, these things get dense. And that, was, a lot of sapphic stuff in the first half. I never thought I’d see Koyume pulling a kabedon. But with all that said, now that we’ve had some Koyubasa, it’s time for some Rukaos, next time in episode TEN of Comic Girls! Wait for it!

Note
18, 22, 23, 25!
18. Opinion on Karlheinz?
Hmm...not my favorite character in the series for obvious reasons. He has a god complex for sure with his powers and while I do see the reason behind his motives, I’ve always felt that there were other ways to achieve his project. This vampire...has ruined many lives and surely has blood stained on his hands because of it. But I guess if it wasn’t without him, we wouldn’t have the series we all know and love today. I neither like or dislike Karlheinz. I merely see him as a complicated man with complicated plans.
22. Who would you not date at all?
Kanato. I don’t think I can tolerate his behavior for a long time. We would end up at each other’s throats quicker than anyone else.
23. Any words of wisdom for any of the boys?
I have a lot to say to all of them, but I’ll speak mainly to Reiji, Ayato, and Ruki.
Reiji: You are more capable than what you think. You work so hard for everything, and I think it will surely pay off in merits soon. I admire you for your self-discipline and mannerisms, and you deserve every ounce of love and attention for being a great and talented vampire. I want you to know that I’ve met A LOT of amazing people in my life, but you’re definitely at the top of the list. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You are worth it. Beatrix is not the sun, Reiji. You are.
Ayato: Ayato, I’m so proud of you for everything that you have done so far. You always try your best in everything and that’s enough. You don’t have to have the rank #1 to show your worth. You were worthy enough already from the moment you were born. You deserve the best and all of the happiness in the world. You’ll be a success with hard work of course, but in my eyes, you will always be the great Ore-sama.
Ruki: Ruki, every time I read about you, you’re always helping out others, whether that be with your intelligence, tactics, wisdom, etc. and I want to thank you for that. It’s always you coming in to save the day, and you truly are the exceptional role model for your brothers. I know you’re supposed to be the snake that tempts Eve but at the same time, I know that surely you cannot withhold this distrust in women forever. Not every woman you meet is terrible or untrustworthy. I hope you’ll realize that in time. I’m proud of the man you have become, and I know your parents would be too. You have come a long way, my darling. It’s time for you to rest and be at ease.
25. If you met Yui, what would you do?
I would run up to her and introduce myself while asking her to be my friend. Then I would go on and compliment everything about her and tell her that she is so brave and beautiful and smart and that she deserves so much more in her life with all the hell that she went through. I’d wish her happiness, good health, and luck, and I’d pray for her safety and sanity too. I want to be good friends with Yui forever because I admire her sooooo much, and no one shall stop our bond.

The Unexpected Meeting
This is a role play between @remnants-of-tragedy and myself. It features her OC Juliet (daughter of Ruki and Hisoka) and my OC Kanaye (son of Kanato and Yuuki).
Status: Complete
Word Count: 7,779
Warning: that this may contain content that may be unsuitable for some readers such as mature themes, strong language, and adult situations.
Quick Note: This is after Kanaye and Izumi have broken up.
“I’ll have an order of Takoyaki, please.”
In front of a Takoyaki stand, was the black-haired human, Juliet. It was a nice day out, so she didn’t want to waste time doing nothing inside the house. What better way to make use of time outside than to buy takoyaki?
“One order! Coming right up, Ma'am!”
In some Takoyaki stands that are good, Juliet is considered a regular customer. It was amazing how a girl who always stayed in shape with physical training would too by at a place like this. Feeling a vibration in her pants pocket, Juliet saw it was a text from her brother.
‘What do I want for a snack?’ She thought, before replying back, ‘Just give me some chocolate pocky.’
“Here you go!” Juliet went back to focus on the order of Takoyaki that have been finished. She paid the owner before taking the takoyaki.
“Thanks.”
It was then she walked away to find a place to go where it was quiet enough to eat her delicious meal in peace.
Kanaye walked around the local park, things were always so different during the day. Truth be told he never used to come out during the day, but now he couldn’t imagine missing it. The sun felt so amazing, he couldn’t recall why he found it annoying before.
A couple of girls were giggling amongst themselves while looking at him. Ah yes, the downside to the day. At night drunken women were easier to avoid, however, sober girls definitely knew what they were doing. Please don’t let them come over, wow, he never thought he’d actually completely dread women approaching him.
Shit, sure enough, they were trying to convince one of them to come over to him. Pesky humans, do they not understand the ‘leave me alone’ aura? Or maybe he wasn’t doing it right. Regardless, quick, something, anything.
He looks around kind of desperately for someone who looked kind of, normal? Or at least someone who wouldn’t mind going with the flow for a few moments. He sees a couple of joggers, pepper with dogs… oh, a girl walking alone. She didn’t looking like she wanted to be messed with, which made this perfect.
Kanaye quickly jogs over to her, acting familiar,
“Ah… there you are sweetie. Oh great you found the stand, hey, don’t eat all of them.”
He whines a bit and leans in close to he ear. He whispers kind of urgently.
“Please play along, I really rather those girls not talk to me.”
It was strange how one moment of precious solitude was interrupted because of unwanted company.
Initially, Juliet was ready to kick the stranger in the balls; However, once he whispered urgently to play along, The ravenette girl noticed a group of girls that were convincing one of them to come over. ‘Desperate livestocks, huh?’ She sighed and whispered back, “Fine, but if someone I know gets the wrong idea, I don’t know you and you’re on your own; Are we clear?”
If anyone, or worse her boyfriend Thomas, saw her like this with another being, and get the wrong idea, There will be hell to pay for this guy.
There was one way she could think of that will make those kinds of girls take the hint to leave this guy alone.
“Hold this; If you drop it, you owe me another.” She instructed, as she handed her takoyaki to the pink-haired young man before placing both her hands on his cheeks with a thumb of the hand not seen by the girls upon his lips.
From there, Juliet placed her lips upon her thumb, making it look like she was kissing the other male, while giving the group of girls a cold glare as a message to try and fight her; Making it look like a rather possessive glare.
It all happened a little fast, Kanaye was not ready for a fake kiss. He thought maybe just walking away with her or even stealing a bite of food. His body tensed just a bit, but not enough to change the message.
Luckily the girls bought the lie and changed their minds about coming over. As the dark haired girl lowered herself from him, he glares a bit. He handed her ‘meal’ back to and fixed himself up slightly.
“That was a tad much… but I thank you for assisting me.”
He says a little begrudgingly. Kanaye looked around to insure no one HE knew was around. Tensions were pretty high for his relationship status at the moment. The last thing he wanted was for some how word to get out he moved on so quickly.
“It was enough to convince them… though if you were concerned of someone seeing us, perhaps a kiss was not the best solution.”
Once the group of girls bought the lie, Juliet looked up to the male in front of her and picked up the stick of her takoyaki.
“You wanted them gone, right? Well now you got what you wanted.”
The ravenette girl took a bit of one of the takoyaki balls with a satisfied expression before swallowing to continue with her usual stoic face,
“Plus, they’re only livestocks. They should learn to take a hint anyways. Not really risking wasting my takoyaki to someone I don’t know either.”
After taking another bite with her satisfied expression returned, She added with the return of her stoic expression,
“Don’t worry, I’m not interested in you in any way, shape, or form. I’ve got a boyfriend and my takoyaki; So if that’s all you needed, then I would like to happily enjoy my meal in peac-”
However, after noticing strange about aura of the male in front of her, Juliet lowered her meal and her eyes became narrowed. An aura of a pureblood…?
“… You’re not human, are you?”
She questioned lowly, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. What the hell was a vampire doing out in the daytime like this? A pureblooded vampire?
Kanaye smiles a bit at the females accusation. It did strike him strange that she would use the term ‘Livestock’ to describe a human- if she was one as well.
“Ah… could you tell? Fear not, I have no intention feeding on you or anyone here. Simply enjoying the day.”
Kanaye explains scratching the back of his neck slightly. It would be bothersome if too many humans took note of his presence.
“How could you tell? Are you one of those ‘witches’. I have read of certain human’s who are more sensitive to our presence than others.”
Juliet shook her head as she took another bite of her takoyaki, and replied after swallowing,
“My mother was once a vampire huntress, and my father was once a half-blood vampire. I’m not a huntress nor do I have a desire to become one, it was just something that has been passed down my family for generations apparently.” She explained.
After taking the last bite of her takoyaki, She tossed the small, empty, paper tray into the nearest garbage can, which entered the can.
“You could say, I’m one of the lucky ones; Despite being a human, Highly doubt normal human beings have the same ability.”
“Your aura is similar to that of a pureblood’s.”
She looked at the male vampire,
“I always assumed it would be a bother for a vampire such as yourself to even go out in sunlight; That’s why I got rather curious. I’ve heard a lot about vampires from both my parents from their own knowledge.”
Kanaye could not hold back a chuckle at the girls comments. Vampires had come a long way since the days sunlight could harm them.
“I see. Forgive me. You are correct, I am a pure blood. Both of my parents are vampires.”
He explains, very proud of his lineage. Being a prince always brought him great pride, especially when he did a great job at it. Mature, poised, articulate, the list goes on.
“Sunlight does affect us, however, we are free to walk in it. I for one find the sun quite beautiful…”
Ah, there he goes again. The only reason he found it this way was becomes of Izumi. Before her the sun was nothing but an annoyance.
“Regardless… I would appreciate if you would keep my presence to yourself. There is no need for other humans to know.”
“You don’t have to tell me what I already know; I already know.” Juliet assured, “Besides, People already think I’m crazy enough, I don’t want to push it to a point where they think I need serious help.”
Her blue orbs look at him as if she was staring into his soul. A pureblooded vampire, huh.. Unlike others she have met, This one was actually mature…?
“Ironic. I’ve met other pureblooded vampires like you, but you seem more composed compared to them.” ‘Honestly refreshing.’
“So what now? Those girls are backing off.” She questioned, “Something else you need, or can I leave no-?”
Right when she was about to reach for her phone once it notified a message, her phone fell to the ground.
“Fuck..!”
She cussed. Thank god she had a protection case.
What she didn’t pay any mind to was her phone revealed the lock screen which featured a selfie of herself, Thomas, and Oliver.
Kanaye could not help but felt his ego grow.  Of course he was more mature that other pure bloods, his breeding was impeccable. Father the son of the old King of Vampires and mother a perfect model woman… well… on the surface she was. In any case, he was better than his family even.
“Oh yes my apologies. Thank you for assis-”
Kanaye started to thank the young woman for helping him when her phone dropped. He knelt down to get it for her, purely on instinct when he noticed the lock screen. The image caused him to pause, long enough for her to get the phone herself.
“Ua… Those… That boy on your phone.”
He knew it was terrible manner to question someone on their private affairs however…
“Sorry. Just who are you exactly?”
Kanaye stands back up and looks down at the woman before him. She was no vampire, yet the sons of Carla Tsukinami were on her phone. What on earth could a human be doing so close to the two of them. Oliver was a very friendly boy, but even still, to let a human so close and to pose with him. Did that fool not realize how much at risk that puts him, better yet, Spencer?
As she kneed down to grab her phone, Juliet looked at the vampire as he asked that question. “Mukami Juliet.” She introduced herself as she grabbed her phone. “So, you know Thomas and Oliver too? I’m actually Thomas’s girlfriend.” Although she knew she didn’t have to answer him or even tell him anything, Juliet couldn’t help but state it proudly about her relationship with Thomas. Checking her phone to read the text, Juliet read it to be from her mother, informing that she will be coming home with groceries and asked if the raven-haired girl wanted anything; Which in response, she said ‘Takoyaki and steak, please.’ Once message has been sent, Her focus went back to Kanaye. “Now that I’ve answered your question about private affairs, then maybe you can answer mine; Who are you?” Juliet questioned, as her blue orbs looks directly at his. “It’s obvious that since you know them too, you probably people connected to them, like Spencer too; Isn’t that right?”
Kanaye was taken back a bit. A Mukami, he’d heard of this last name, but never actually met one. If memory served, they were turned vampires by his grandfather for some silly project. So this girl was the off spring of one, interesting.
She was in no way a vampire, was that from genetics? Just who was her mother? Her father for that matter. The concept of a turned vampire did always strike him as fascinating, though he never dared to try it out.
So not only did she know the Tsukinami, but was dating the younger one. Those complete fools, allowing a human to get so close. What’s worse is this girl knew of his friend, that he could not let slide. If she proved to be any kind of threat or possible danger to Spencer, well, Oliver would have to get over the loss.
“I do know them, though I suppose since you told me your name, the least I can do is return the favor. I am Sakamaki Kanaye, eldest son of Sakamaki Kanato. For you to be so involved in our world as dating a first blood, I am quite curious about you.”
Kanaye lowers his torso in a slight bow, offering respect. This girl was definitely on is radar now. He would need to learn more about her, and keep an eye out. Humans could not be trusted with such knowledge of the other world.
‘Sakamaki Kanato…’ Juliet does recall that name. She, along with her brother, has heard tales from their mother about her encounters with him in the past when she was a teenager; It was quite unexpected to actually meet a child of his. But that would explain a lot from his aura. “That explains a lot about your aura. My mother told us stories about meeting your father when she was younger; Never thought I would actually meet his kid.” The human answered honestly, 'Mother will be very surprised.’ After hearing Kanaye’s comment about his curiosity about her involvement, Juliet crossed her arms and stated, “I was always involved in your world even from the moment I was born; My mother was a vampire huntress, and my father was a turned vampire before turning back into a human. Of course, regardless who I was dating or not, I will always be involved with that world.” She pointed out, “Plus, I’m good friends with Spencer, and my brother is dating his brother; It’s kind of unavoidable not to get involved.” Juliet knew this guy was wary of her. They just met, so of course he had a right to be. Sighing, The raven-haired girl bluntly said, “Look, if you are that wary of me, then just say it and ask what you want to ask; I may not go into personal details, but I can still answer your questions as long as you answer mine.”
So she was more than a human after all. Then no need to keep up the theatrics. Kanaye straightened his back and looked down at the human before him. He allowed his true nature be known, a dark aura imitating from him.
“Ah, so your brother must be this ‘Leon’ I have hard about. How charming.”
He moves closer to her and leans down close to her ear. This was a warning, threat, promise, call it what you will- so long as she understood the severity.
“Those boys mean a great deal to me. If there is ever a point where I see you or your family endangering them, know my dear, that I will not rest until your entire family has perished.”
Withdrawing himself from her and returning to his rather welcoming demeanor he smiled down at the girl. He wanted not problems with her, in fact from what Isaiah said he was quite found of her brother. However, for any of them be a threat to his families lives, that would be another story.
“I suppose the only question from me is how serious you are about Thomas. I may not be as close to him as Oliver, but my concern remains the same.”
Once Juliet witnessed Kanaye’s true nature, it didn’t faze her at all; Instead, She smirked. “About time you actually showed your true nature; I was starting to get bored.” She admitted, “How cute; You think you can intimidate me.” This time, Juliet let her own intimidating aura show as she stepped forward with a dark glint in her eyes, “You listen to this too, my dear; My family would never do such a thing, not even me and Leon.” She said lowly, “Make threats to me all you want; But if you include my brother or our parents, I highly suggest to keep them out of it from such nonsense. They’re also close family friends with them; Especially my mother with Aunt Kris and Aunt Yuko.” After informing that, Juliet’s intimidating aura vanished as the glint in her eye and her smirk disappeared; She was just as stoic as she was before. “So.. my seriousness with Thomas, huh?” She repeated the question. “I’m serious about him to a point where I am possessive of him, and even call him my fiancé with a straight face and not even saying it in a joking matter.” Juliet answered, before pausing and adding with a slight smile as the thought of her boyfriend and his smile came to her mind, “I’m even willing to become a vampire if it meant being with him.”
Kanaye smirks at her response. She was no push over, these Mukami women seemed to posses strong back bones. Juliet reminded him of Tsubasa Mukami, no doubt the two of them knew of one another as well.
Though, much like the other Mukami, Kanaye was not convinced this strong face would last under the right amount of pressure. They were both women after all, each one of them only wanted one thing, and one thing only. Even now her face lights up at the thought of her lover. Just how deprived would one have-
He was doing it again. Relapsing into that old way of thinking. It was only strong women that did this to him, however, by now he should know better. There was no reason to pick this girl apart. If her feelings for young Thomas were not genuine, it was not his place to test them.
Instead, try taking a more supportive approach.
He could hear Spencer’s voice echo in his head. You don’t want to loose the person you are, when you have come so far. There are ways to maintain your title and pride while not being a total sadistic ass hole.
“Is that so. In that case… best of luck then.”
Kanaye looks away from the female, this was harder than before. Not so much speaking nice, more fighting his natural urges to take her for himself. In the Demon World, before Izumi, he took every woman for himself. Not because he particularly liked any of them, more so because he could.
After a moment, Juliet’s smile vanished and reversed back to her stoic self. “Thanks.” She replied. It was very ironic. Despite being cold and cruel as her father, The raven-haired girl was also secretly has kind as her mother; However, she would rather cut her own tongue and roast it than to have people assume she’s a softie due to her acts of kindness. Juliet isn’t afraid to make it known that she was just as manipulative and cruel as her father. It is a useful skill for when she needs to use it. She knew she wasn’t like other girls her age, She wasn’t exactly society’s definition of normal. She is considered to be one of the most dominant females. A sadistic mistress. If anything, The Mukami girl was someone that is worth being seen as a threat.
The definition of a ‘Bad Girl’. And she takes full pride in that. “Alright; Now that I’ve answered your question, Let’s resume our game of 20 questions.” She said, “How much do you know and, or heard, about my brother? Did Spencer talk about him or was it Isaiah?”
Kanaye lets out a soft sigh, the sun was starting to take its effect. Where it was true, he was able to walk about the day, there were limits. Standing in one place for so long, directly under the sun, was bothersome.
“Before I answer, if you really want to continue talk to me, may I suggest a different location.”
He wasn’t really planing on waiting for her response, and started walking on his own. The girl followed, which was fine, he did not mind this back and forth. Good practice.
“Let’s see… how did I hear about your brother? I suppose it simply came up in conversation. Isaiah had joined Spencer and I in his room. He was texting Leon when Spencer informed me of their relationship.”
Kanaye explained as they walked. They came to a shaded bench to sit on, which Kanaye took advantage of right away. With another sigh he sits down, relieved to be shielded from the sun.
“How much do I know was your other question yes?”
He pauses to think a moment. To be honest there was not lot. There was also not a huge deal of interest when Isaiah was telling him about Leon. Now that he thought about it, did he even say anything about him being human?
“Hmm… not much. I know he is dating Isaiah, and you just clued me in on the fact that he is human.”
As she sat on the bench with Kanaye, Juliet just stared at him as he gave her his answer. “I see.” She replied, “Also, I suppose you’ve reached your limit in the sunlight? Honestly, I’m surprised you’re able to last this long.” As she spoke, the human realized her throats getting dry. ‘Maybe I should’ve brought a water bottle.’ She sighed. From the corner of her eye, on Kanaye’s side, there was a vending machine close by wth various drinks. 'Jackpot.’ She thought.
“If we’re going to keep playing our little game, better make your question quick; If you’re not gonna ask a question, I’ll steal a turn and ask you another question.” Juliet said, as she got up to go to the vending machine and started to get her drink, “If you are the eldest son of Sakamaki Kanato, that means you’re also related to.. Sakamaki Yukio?” Her blue eyes hardened by even mentioning Yukio. It was no secret they despised each other from the core of their beings. Especially after how he was giving her brother a hard time, and after going back and forth with rude comebacks between the vampire and herself when Juliet stood up for Leon.
Kanaye watched the female move around him. She carried herself quite well, for being a hoodlum. He did little reading on the turned vampires the Mukami. Also of this ‘Adam and Eve’ project his grandfather plotted for with the human girl. By her looks alone, he would assume she was the daughter of Ruki Mukami, since from what he read of the only other dark haired male seemed a bit off from her looks.
So just want kind of person was her mother? She explained before something about a vampire hunter? Yet here Juliet stood, the offspring of a human and a turned vampire. Seemed a bit far-fetched.
Just as he was thinking this, he heard a name escape her lips. Ah yes, his ‘wonderful’ little brother. So even this human knew of him. How many times must he stress the importance of keeping a distance from humans.
“Unfortunately. Yukio is my younger brother. From the way you spoke his name, you must not be very fond of him.”
He smirks a bit, just like Yukio to make another enemy. Kanaye made it a habit NOT to keep track of the things his brother did. If he was every to become King of the Vampires, distancing from the mess of a brother was a must.
“A apologize for any trouble he causes you. Sadly, not much I say will change him. Yukio is… quite troublesome.”
‘Troublesome’? More like 'Bitchy’.” Juliet commented, bluntly. “He’s already caused enough trouble for my little brother; Unlike myself, Leon’s too nice to really hate anyone.” It was no secret that not only were they siblings, they were also best friends. As the oldest, It was her responsibility to look after him. Even if it meant going after those that hurt them. After getting her drink, The human glances to the vampire. “Fascinating; That guy is your younger brother, yet nowhere alike in personality.” She comments before opening the cap of her drink, “You’re quite tolerable to socialize with, unlike him.” Juliet was used to making enemies, ever since she was younger. Because of that, She enjoys to have fun playing the Smartass; It was often amusing to see their reactions. “Although it is fun acting as the smartass.” Once Juliet started to take a sip of her drink, Her blue orbs looks over to Kanaye, and stopped for a moment before questioning, “Aren’t you thirsty too? You have endured sunlight for a while.”
“I’ll take that compliment with high regards. It is very much like my brother and I grew up in completely different locations.”
Kanaye clears his throat slightly. Thirsty for something other than soda sadly. However, that was always in the back of his mind. Unlike most other vampires, Kanaye made it a point to suppress those urges.
“Thank you, but I’m quite all right. You’d be surprised just how long one can go without blood and remain sane.”
He allows her to take a few sips of the beverage. Humans were lucky in that sense, if nothing else. Their thirst could be quenched with any form of liquid beverage.
“Does Thomas use you for his own?”
He asked on impulse.
“Forgive me, that’s a bit forward. I simply wonder… his mark must be somewhere on you. Or… perhaps you allow him to feed on others?”
That question made Juliet stop drinking, and moved her lips from the top of the soda. She looked down at him, with her eyes making contact to his. At first, it may look like an intense glare to any normal human; However, it was not like that. Her eyes were just tinged with confusion. “He doesn’t feed on anyone else other than me; It’s something we’ve already agreed on, even before him and I were dating.” Juliet answered, “Besides, in my relationship with him, I’m the dominant one; I always make sure he only comes to me when he wants to quenches his thirst. I always remind him of our limits.” For ‘limits’, meaning how far they can go. As Juliet is the first child, She was already done with puberty. Unlike her parents who have done it when her mother was 17, Juliet would rather wait until marriage. It may not matter much to other people; However, that’s what would make it special for when that time comes; Thus, there were limits for the human and the First-blood. “Alright; Question for you: Who else do you know that I might know of? It can be anyone else from the other Sakamaki’s or the other Mukami’s.” Juliet questioned.
How cute, so she was still a virgin. He had a feeling, there was no way a human who had known the… pleasures of a vampire would be ‘dominate’. Poor young Thomas, but perhaps that was best.
Her question prompted the vampire to think a bit. He knew that Spencer and his siblings were people she knew, since her boyfriend was the brother of Oliver Tsukinami. As well as her brother dating Isaiah.
“Well… obviously I know Spencer and his siblings.  I know of another Mukami offspring… Kai and Tsubasa. Although, I have nothing but detest for the two of them.”
He grimaces slightly thinking of the two blonde Mukami. Tsubasa’s strong will vexed him to no end… and to think he almost made a move on her. Her brother was no better, the smart ass male, truly the two were a giant headache.
If Juliet knew of those two, she may also know of … her. No, he wasn’t going to bring her up. The less he spoke about it, the better. Also,no need to expose such a weakness to this human.
Remembering her meeting with Tsubasa, It almost made her chuckle. They fought over a book in the library; But in the end, they compromised once they realized they were related. “I’ve actually met Tsubasa; We fought over a book we both wanted to read. If we haven’t learned that we were cousins, I would’ve taken the book anyways, check it out myself, and leave.” As a girl that is determined to get what she wants, It didn’t matter to Juliet who she goes up against to get it. There are very few exceptions to this rule, like Leon; However, overall, she didn’t care who she even had to fight against. “There are only a few people I know of; I’m not really the social type. The only people I know are Thomas, Oliver, Spencer, Isabella, Isaiah, Tsubasa, and such.” Juliet listed off, using her free hand to count the names of the people with her fingers, “I know the existence about the offsprings of my mother’s friends; But I never had any interactions with them personally.” Finishing her drink, Juliet looked over to the trash can nearby and threw the empty can into the trash can, before going back to sit down on the bench. “Got any more questions you want to ask?” She questioned.
Kanaye figured the two females would not get along. She and Tsubasa Mukami were both head strong, so it made sense they would argue. Fighting over a book was a bit immature though.
“I have a few. You said your mother was a Vampire Hunter? Do you practice any of her ways? Clearly you don’t kill all vampires, but has the idea every crossed your mind? To follow in her footsteps?”
Kanaye ask relaxing a bit. Juliet did not seem like too much of a threat.
Once she gathered the vampire’s questions, Juliet thought for a moment to gather her thoughts into answers. Those were interesting questions, indeed. “I’ve thought about it when I was a child, but I have absolutely no interest in becoming a vampire hunter; Leon and I don’t ever want to follow her footsteps because that’s actually our mother’s fear.” Juliet explained, “She worries that we would become like how she was in her teen years; Although, I can’t even imagine what she was like back then from my father’s and my uncles’ descriptions.” From what she’s heard, Her mother was rather stubborn, hostile, and hot-tempered; The complete opposite of what she is now: patient, well-mannered, and calm. The definition of a “Yamato Nadeshiko”.
“Hearing tales about my mother in the past are very amusing; Considering the fact that she sounds like a completely different person from now, from what my brother and I were told by our Uncles and our father.” Juliet commented, “Oh.. By the way, since you’re the first born, are you going to take over as King? Or is it going to be Yukio?” She questioned.
Kanaye almost burst with laughter at her question. His brother?! King? How absurd. He coughed a bit to cover the laughter that had escaped and tried to compose himself.
“My brother… King of anything… now that is quite funny.”
He says coughing a bit more and wiping a tear from his eye.
“No he will not be doing anything like that. Neither will I for that matter if I cannot defeat my uncle. Shu Sakamaki is current King of all Vampires, as I am sure you know- or at least should.”
He answers her questions and thinks back on the answer she had given him. So their mother regretted the life of a Vampire Hunter? As she should, it was not a wise profession.
“Since you have no interest in the life style, I suppose that means you only wish to know of our world. You mentioned before turning to be with Thomas Tsukinami. What would you do if he lost interest in you after that?”
It was no lie that mortality was something most vampires found fascinating. The idea that something would die, when they would not for a long time, often made romances with humans more desirable. Who was to say that the young Tsukinami did not suffer from this? Only interested in the girl for the fact that she was human, and one day would die and leave him.
“I don’t really know nor do I care; I don’t really pay attention to that stuff with vampires because it’s your family’s affairs, and not mine.” Juliet said, “I only asked because I rather have you as the king than that bitch that is also your brother.” After hearing what he said about her mother, Juliet added, “My mother was part of a long line of vampire hunters, in a way she was going to become one even if she didn’t know it herself; She only retired after taking care of some business.” Hearing Kanaye’s question, Juliet couldn’t help but chuckle. “Thomas? Losing interest in me? If I was no longer human?” She repeated in between her chuckling, “That’s no way that’s even possible.” After taking a breath to compose herself, she smirked. “As someone who knew me the longest other than my brother, He knows I wouldn’t turn into a Vampire unless he really wants to be with me; And knowing him, He is that type of guy that would do something like that.” Looking up to the sky, She added, “I trust him as much as he trusts me; To say something hypothetical like if he would lose interest in me after that? It’s honestly something to laugh about, especially for people that actually know him.” Juliet looks over to Kanaye with the smirk, “I’m sure you would laugh about that too, if you ever got to know him too; Seriously, that’s like saying, If I lose interest in Takoyaki.” “But to answer your question, If he ever did lose interest in me, I would lose interest in falling in love again; It would become a waste of time and I rather not want to waste any more of my time if that was the case.” She answered. “Hey, touching on the subject of what happened earlier; Are you a Casanova?”
Her reaction took him off guard. Most women responded with something along the lines of, “Oh no! What would I do~ Don’t even joke like that” or something to that effect. Not Juliet Mukami, who despite her outward appearance, seemed to truly feel for the young Tsukinami.
A love so true it can’t even imagine not existing. He wondered if that was how things would be now with his own situation. These thoughts had occurred to him, loosing interest in loving again after Izumi. However, the idea did not seem piratical, even if he was convinced there would never be another girl for him.
“A… Casanova…?”
What did that term mean? He had heard it before… ah yes. Laito had taught him about that long ago. Kanaye smirks a bit, just what was he anymore.
“In… another time yes. One could say I still am.”
He answers while letting his head fall back against the bench. A Casanova indeed. No back in the demon world he was a king. If his memory served, this type of person left women in fear of a relationship. Moving onto the next in a never ending quest for actual love.
“That term is not accurate however… I do not throw women away. I also do not fear a relationship, as I keep most of the women I sleep with.”
“I have plenty who drop to their knees before me. Begging for my touch… my attention. There is no love on my part however, though I suppose they are love me in their own way.”
As she listened to Kanaye, Juliet didn’t seem fazed in the least. “So basically, you keep them around as livestock? Well, they chose to live their way of life; In my opinion, that’s pretty sad if they’re willing to do that for someone that doesn’t even love them back.” She bluntly commented, “It just shows simple-minded livestocks can be.” Juliet has seen those kinds of girls. Wanting a man’s touch, throwing away their own self-respect for it, even if that man didn’t love them. Vampire or not, Juliet will find it just disgusting and pathetic. ‘It reminds me of that shojō manga Leon showed me… How stupid..’ Juliet thought as her face begins to show disgust. “The term Casanova is actually used to refer to someone that’s passionate about women to a point of having many lovers.. But it seems to be correct that that term doesn’t suit you well as you’re not passionate about women, considering the incident not too long ago.” “Well, they are your pets; If you got offended about what I just said, Keep in mind that I am not going to apologize for speaking out my mind about it.” Juliet said.
Kanaye laughed slightly as her comments. Livestock? Pets? Those were interesting choices of words.
“Offended? How could I be? You said nothing ill of myself. Simply the company I keep, and that is their problem not mine.”
He answers honestly. Kanaye felt nothing for the girls back home. The only reason they were even around was because he wanted to see them. See them broken and begging for him. See them prove that all women are simply dick loving mindless-
There he goes again. Even after meeting Izumi, ones way of thinking cannot be changed so easily. Supposing not… all women are like that. Even so, he couldn’t help but have those dark thoughts for Izumi as well. Her begging for him, covered in his essence, dismissing everything she once knew. All for what, his dick?
“… Juliet Mukami.”
What was the difference when there was ‘love’ between two people. Was there a difference? His mother didn’t seem to help him understand. She was so perfect on the surface. A model woman, calm, cheerful, warm, carried herself with such dignity. But… even she would…
“Why do you save yourself of marriage? You are a virgin, why do you not give into your desire for Thomas Tsukinami- or any man for that matter.”
Juliet simply looked at him with her usual stoic expression. After Kanaye asked such a question, Juliet had no hesitation answering. “Because it’s my choice.” She simply said. “Unlike some women, I save myself for marriage, because it will be special for both me and him; An act of intimacy like sex, I can only do it as ‘lovemaking’ with Thomas, who has proven his love to me by waiting for me. It may sound stupid to some people who have done it; But to me, it would be a memorable act of love.” She explained, as she carefully took out the necklace around her neck that hid under her shirt. It was the necklace given to her by Thomas. It was White Day. He accepted her love confession. It was then they shared their first kiss with one another and became a couple. Unlike Leon and his relationship with Isaiah, Juliet’s relationship with Thomas has been taken rather slowly. “Before Thomas, I never fell in love. I’ve seen my parents interact with each other and read some romance novels, but I never understood what it was like to be in love; Then before I knew it, I fell in love with my first and best friend, the one person other than Leon that wasn’t afraid of me.” Juliet sighed, “Because I was inexperienced with love, I decided to take it slowly; I know that Love wasn’t about sex or anything like that. That’s why I chose to wait for marriage.”
“And what if your Thomas could not wait? Or had not waited for you? If he had women before you, would you’re feelings be the same? Even if Thomas had known a this experience before you?”
Kanaye could some what understand where Juliet was coming from. He supposed at a time, he too once thought of ‘love making’ being the ultimate connection. If he remembered correctly, the first woman he seduced did have feelings for him. They dated for a while, though after she showed her true nature, he was disgusted.
So then what would love change? If he genuinely liked a person before becoming sexual, why did that not hold up once it was finished? For that matter, what could Izumi had been thinking? She knew he was no virgin, quite reminded of it actually with all of the threats.
Perhaps it was simply him. He was not able to break this… idea of sex being something romantic. Something worth waiting for. A way to connect with another person.
“… Forgive me if my rantings are… a bit harsh. I mean no ill will behind them. You seem to have deep feelings for Thomas I simply… am trying to understand something.”
“It’s fine; I’m sure you have your reasons.” Juliet said. She turns to look at the sky, before answering the questions. “Well, the past don’t really matter. It’s the present and future that matters. I doubt he even had any experiences or not wait for me; But let’s say, hypothetically, He didn’t wait? That’s his choice. He choses not to wait for me? Should’ve thought twice before accepting my confession. Had a woman before me? Well him and I are together now. Had experiences before me? Good that means he knows what he’s doing.” Sighing, Juliet said, “‘It’s not easy to find love’, is what my mother told me and my brother. Apparently her parents were polar opposites yet they found true love together from hardships. Leon and I were one of the lucky ones that were able to find love. It takes time. For example, Thomas and I have been friends for a long time before we started dating. It’s about finding that connection with someone that can make you feel special. Like you’re the only one and no one else. To feel accepted and loved for who you are. To be able to feel like you’ve grown because of that person and the experiences that you share with them. To feel blessed to have that one person that would accept your flaws and put aside any nuisance to prove how much they care for you. It doesn’t matter what has been done in the past. What matters more is the present and the future. You might find love in the future, but who knows? Love comes when least expected. It might even be a person you never expected to fall in love with.” There was a small pause before Juliet spoke again. “My mother also said, from her own experience, 'Love can happen again and again. One failed romance doesn’t mean it’s game over. Because, there will always a Start Over button ready when you want to try again with another that can be able to make your heart skip a beat the same way it did before’.” Stretching again, Juliet looked over to Kanaye. “I apologize, I must’ve rambled. But, I hope I was able to help you understand; I understand that It isn’t something that can really be easily understood.”
Kanaye listened to the human with his undivided attention. Human’s always did have a certain way of thinking that he never could. The way she spoke of love was refreshing, Juliet Mukami clearly had some trials growing up.
“I don’t mind at all.”
Kanaye assures her, smiling softly. It was a nice thought, and to be honest that was how he felt with Izumi. He wanted nothing more than to be with her. To experience life with her. Learn how she viewed the world, and grow to model the future after the two of them. However…
“You may have figured this out by now, but I was in love once.
She was… absolutely everything I could have asked for in a mate. Until I met her, my relationships with women were… not the best. When I told her about what I’d done in relationship up until her, she was very shocked. But… she did not shun me, or say that I was strange.
I suppose that meant she loved me as well. We… never got a chance to actually say that to one another.”
Izumi was the only woman he actually wanted to do things proper with. Holding hands, hugging, kissing… he would not allow himself to do any of it. Soft kisses on her hands and forehead. Wrapping a protective arm around her while they were out. It was very unlike him.
“Thank you Juliet Mukami. I never imagined a human’s words could bring me some clarity.”
“I’m glad I was able to help you.” Juliet said. It was then she received a call. She reached to her phone and answered it. “Leon, what’s going on?” She stayed silent for a moment and spoke again after hearing her brother’s voice on the other side. “Actually, I’m not hungry right now, I already had Takoyaki.. I can still eat the pockys later.. I promise… Now? … Okay, I’m on my way. Just stay put.” Ending the call, Juliet got up. “Sorry about that; Apparently, my brother needs help cooking dinner tonight; So I have to get going.” The human turned to Kanaye, “It was nice meeting you, Kanaye Sakamaki.” Before she was ready to walk away, Juliet stopped and turned to the vampire, with a rare smile. “That must’ve meant she really loved you back then; But it’s only up to you if you want to love again or not. It doesn’t have to be now, it doesn’t even have to be in between now or even in between millenniums. Only you get to decide that; If you need any more advice or just need someone to talk to in general, fill free to talk to me; You can probably get my number from Spencer, just be sure to say it’s you.”
Kanaye smirked at the human girl. Just what was the world coming too when a human could speak to him in such a familiar manner. It was not too long ago the very idea seemed completely insane.
“Thank you again. I may ask him for it one day.”
He stands up himself and stretches, the sun was starting to annoy him again. Perhaps he could stay at Spencer’s for a few hours. Hopefully that Tsukinami boy was not over. He pulled out his phone and started texting his friend as he too walked away from the park bench in the opposite direction.
The End.

Garish Room #28 [2017 ver. member A to Z case of Reita] part 2
Tumblr media
- Obtain (recently acquired thing that increased the intensity of sensations)
Reita: This is due to the story, which I recently mentioned, but it's the fact that I bought the speakers. After I used the previous ones about 8 years, I purchased a new product from Pioneer recently. The stand is attached to the sides of the speakers, and since they do not touch the ground, the sound is quite different. Even the discs, that I used to listen to, were sounded for me with new sensations, the mood was updated and it was fascinating. In these speakers, regardless of if the bass sounded or I did a mixing test on them, they further widened the range, so I could immediately heard sounds that were not played.

Reita: (Looking at photos from the past) Hmm ...What's that, though a little, but my hair ends sticked out horrible. Still, it's great to be young; since I repainted the black parts of the hair in the blond by myself, there were traces and it was quite noticeable. (loking at photos  「舐~ zetsu ~」 ) Probably they are not so bad, because we look great. How to say...it's great that we look so good on them (laughs). These thrills, now I’m no longer able to do this. And I don’t remember at all why I wore white and blue clothes. It seemed like something complicated, to acquire the necessary skills, and because of this we often performed. Approximately then, it was time, when we inserted symbolic drawings, that was so in Ruki's style, or at that time we also used kanji. The day of filming the video 舐 舐 ~ zetsu ~ 」was very hot. And what was the hottest, the drums, right? Waiting until they corrected makeup of this guy, was very very long, in addition, all suffered greatly because of the heat (laughs).
- Question (things you are skeptical of)
Reita: Our society consists of people who constantly complain [* he is referring to official complaints about the service, as well as the type of fraud ]. And I really don’t like this. Also the reason why I stopped watching TV is, in essence, that the complainants irritate me, but even more I get furious, when, in addition, people around are too involved in this.  I believe that a guy, who is called reckless, is certainly not connected with those who are in a safe place, then "what is this chain of negative" (when bad events occur one after another)  - I often feel something like this.  One part among the complainants has declined quite in number, they seem to have come to common sense. Even if we apply this to our activities,  where, first of all, there is rock and punk, these are not the things that decent people do. "Although you performance to the public, it does not mean anything at all" - I hate such ambience. Jsut because we are people who have crossed the limit "I cann’t do this", we do have a certain pattern, to which we aspire. Still I think it doesn't mean that you can always feel close to us and become friends easily.
-  Resistance (not subject to discussion part)
Reita:  In make-up, when I'm in public places, I play the role of Reita. I don’t feel too much need to show my inner world,  and at the time of applying makeup, I also change what is inside me. And since it's very important, it's the part of me not to discuss.
- Sexy  (a favorite part of the female body and gestures that excite the feelings of men)
Reita: Favorite part ... there is a lot of (laughs).  Navel or so-called «hara chira» (when you accidentally saw someone's stomach, which was hidden under the  clothes  before that),  It seems to me pretty sexy. So, I’d like women to always go screaming "banzai" (laughs) [*  during shouting "banzai", usually raise their hands; so Reita heads to the fact that a T-shirt or a jacket will roll up and you’ll see a navel].
-  Treasure (treasures that you really appreciate)
Reita: The car. I sold the red mustang, that I used on the set for a magazine, 2-3 years ago, and now I drive another car, but I really like it.  Even if it becomes useless, I want to buy another one similar model of the car.  Also recently on Twitter I asked everyone to send me a photo of their cars, because I also was interested to see the cars of other people, do they have any stickers, or maybe they were a little remodeled, or how they have chosen an interior finish.  Since I also grew up in the countryside, I drove the car from the age of 18, so having a car was something  certain.  When you go by car, it's like a secret room, in which no one can enter, and I also really like it.
- Under ( kohai, which you accept)
Reita: Basically, I don't admit them because of their meager skills (laughs). Speaking of kohais, are they not rivals to us? A long time ago, since I showed some enmity directed at the guys, who performed together with us at concerts as rivals, I didn't like the fact that I had to admit them openly. Therefore, even now I still don't support the relationship with kohais.
-  Violence (episodes when you were very angry)
Reita:  Hahaha! When was I angry? It happened only once, but ... because the other members are not such to be angry (laughs). It was about 5 years ago, during the tour, I scolded loudly, I think that neither before nor after I didn't do this, only at that time. I think, in that situation, probably, it would be wrong not to get mad at a new employee, bass technician. Since I always make mistakes, I don’t blame people when they also make them,  but due to some mistakes, my head was just full of various worries, later, too, mistakes continued to follow one after another. This went on and made me angry. And since I couldn’t change this feeling, it wasn’t very good. I think that one mistake isn't a mistake at all. A real mistake is to continue to make the same mistake repeatedly.  So the next day I talked with him as always with a smile... No, if I were angry, it would be something very serious (laughs).
-  Warning (what do you pay attention to in your daily life)
Reita: For a long time, I always received instructions from my Mom like "I think you should have your own opinion on any issue" and the words "listen well to what people say" penetrated into my soul. Therefore, even though I say "but I think in this way", but I don't impose my opinion over this. Now I have this way of dealing with others "it's clear, there are such people". I wonder if it's good or bad. And, maybe there is also the fact  in me that I don't have inflated expectations about people. I think that's probably why I'm not angry with them.  I have no thoughts like "I want to do something, or I want to tell them something", so, maybe that’s why I'm not angry. Only me can understand what is me, and probably there is no need to try to make you understand me, if it’s against your will.
-  X-factor (what would you like to try to do in the future that you never did before)
Reita: It's about acting, there is one documentary video from the tour, where once long ago Hide-san became angry in the locker room and hurled a mirror, that split into parts. So I would like to do something like this (laughs).  I do not often get a chance to break things in my daily life.
-  Yesterday  (what did you do yesterday, from the moment when you woke up before you went to bed)
Reita:  In the morning I woke up at 8 o'clock, since the day before was the last episode of  "SMAP × SMAP" [* TV show, organized by SMAP. The last episode was shown on December 26 and after 28 years the group ceased its activity]. I wrote a tweet "good morning", combining it in meaning with this theme. In fact, we had to go with Ruki to photoshooting for the album of the best ballads, but it began to rain, all were canceled, and we hastily left there. Therefore, after cleaning up my room, I went to the gym. After training the muscles, I ran and then made stretching. It seems to me that if you start the morning with body training, much will be done in the right way.  Well, since the stories about muscle training will be badly received by the public, let's stop on this (laughs).
-  Zero (what you would like to get rid of)
Reita:  Still, I really would like to forget that during the performance I fell, I really want to forget it.  Even on tour 「DOGMA」 I once very effectively fell, seems it was in Yamagata.  It also was included in the documentary, but since now we live in a society that constantly uses social networks, it would be known fact for everyone in any case, right? So, after the performance, I told about it by myself.  There is nothing left but to make this the topic of a popular discussion (laughs).
