Playing with the idea of having different outfits unlocked with different upgrades or something for spear-wielding skeleton metroidvania. They don't really do anything (though maybe you could power them up along with your weapon or something?) but they'd look nice, and that's what's really important.

In NecRomancer's world, a corpse contains the spark of potential for a second life, a new existence divorced from the soul that leaves it behind.
However, rarely, a corpse can first become a vessel for the departing soul to express depths of feeling that it was unable to give voice to in life. From such impulses are born beings that are somewhere between a monster and a god, expressions of uncontrollable magical overflow.
Due to the high amount of magic and emotion that creates such warped creatures, the latent spark within a corpse, though protected by its dormancy, will become irreversibly changed.
